Default Rules and Expectations

IC Rules and Expectations

  • Respect-Respect is a very important and valued thing. Please be respectful to everyone around you including your professor. Respect is given from me the minute you enter my classroom as long as you honor and respect back. Please remember to always be kind and respectful in the Divination Tower whether it be for class, club activity, or any other reason you are here.
  • Preparation-You are expected to have all materials before class starts. If something is needed from storage it is to be taken out and at your seat before the lesson begins. In Divination sometimes there are extra materials you can bring with you, please watch the class notice for these items so that you can be prepared.
  • Dress-Uniforms are to be worn unless said in the notice, remember you are climbing a ladder to get to the classroom you will need flat shoes to do this.
  • Attendance and Punctuality-Lessons will be placed on your house notice boards at least twenty four hours before a lesson is to start. Students are all expected to come to class on time. Any student that is late will possibly become my special helper for the lesson as well as suffer a loss of points.
  • Behavior-All school rules will apply in my classroom. When you come into the room please find your seat and keep your socializing to the corridor. The Divination room should be a quiet peaceful room for students to open their minds and their senses. Be ready to learn. If you do need to talk please keep your voices to a whisper. During the lesson please listen and pay attention. Raise your hand to answer questions and wait to be called on. Any behavior issues could result in point loss.

OOC Rules and Expectations

  • Respect- Please remember this is a fun role playing place. We would like to have fun in this class and with each other. Be respectful to other members and remember to have a good time. Everything that happens in this classroom is IC, if something needs to be taken care of OOC it will be done through PM’s.
  • Attendance-Attendance is not mandatory, but encouraged just for the fun and to help your house earn or lose points. If you are posting in the class and you happen to not be able to post before the start of lesson, that’s fine just jump in when you can and pretend you were there the entire time. If you are one that doesn’t mind losing a few points and want to play a late arrival, go for it.
  • Behavior- remember all SS rules and SSRPG rules apply in the classroom. The lessons are for the fun of the activity and what is going on. I ask you do not have excessive chatter and side conversations during lessons.
  • OOC VS. IC- please remember that things that happen IC are IC and my character, it is not OOC or myself. If a matter needs to be dealt with OOC you will get a PM from me. Do not play for another character, do not god-mod, please remember your character can not read minds so things you see OOC your character might not know.
  • Plagiarizing-this is a fun RP site, this is not a professional writing job, nor a real class (though you can't plagiarize in a real class either) Please be creative, if your character doesn't know something, great, it makes it more fun. Do not go onto the wonderful web and just copy and paste an answer word for word.

POINTS

For participating in any lesson, you can earn up to 20 points. You can always earn house points even if your character answers questions wrong. Points are awarded based on active participation and creativity, so PLEASE don't think you have to always be correct!

This is a guide to show how points will be given:

Arrival, saying hello- 2 points possible
Questions 1 & 2 - 6 points possible (3 per question)
Practice/Mini Activity - 4 points possible
Practice/Main Activity - 8 points possible
