With such a beautiful spring day it wasn't surprising that some of the classes would be held outdoors. Cassie was ready for warmer weather and with such a sunny day in April it was a perfect opportunity to get out of the tower and on the grounds.
As the class gathers they will notice that there really isn't any seats set up so sitting on the ground or standing will be the way of this lesson. Cassie herself is standing near the lake next to three big covered crates. There is no sound coming from the crates so not really any clue as to what is inside of them.
Her welcoming smile and snaps shows all the students they are in the right place and she was eagerly ready to greet them.

Bernie was happy to be outside on a nice day like this. She just wasn't expecting Divination to be outside!? This WAS Divination, right, and not Creatures class? Because Bernie didn't have room in her schedule for both of those electives, and those crates by the professor sure looked like the kind RARE and DANGEROUS CREATURES came in!
"Hiya, professor," she greeted the snappy blonde with a few finger snaps of her own. "What are we doing today?" Bernie plopped down on the green ground without a care. Grass stains be darned.

Why were they outside for divination? Nevermind. Who cared. It was a nice day. "Morning professor," she said cheerily. There were no chairs, so she just crouched on the ground. No way was she sitting fully down. Better be able to get up quickly in case something went wrong. Constant vigilance or whatever. "What are we doing today?"
Tom walked towards the lesson, he still after three years didn't know what to think about this subject, it freaked him out sometimes. 'Morning Professor!' Tom said as he saw the Professsor. He then sat down and waited to see what they would be learning today.
It was certainly unusual to have Divination, of all classes, outside. But Avalon wasn't complaining one bit. She was loving the spring weather, and she'd take any excuse to enjoy it. The Ravenclaw had packed all of her scarves and winter wear away until next year - so she was grateful that it turned out to be a warm day.
"Good day, Professor," she said with a smile as she joined the small group of students already gathered near the lake. Avalon peered curiously at the covered crates. Were those....animals? Or some type of magical creature? Either way, she was intrigued.

Claudine found that she was truly falling in love with the recent weather. Sunny weather had always been something she was neutral to but apparently that was changing. For that reason, she didn’t mind the lesson being held outdoors. The girl happily made her way to the Lake, noting the small group of students there already. She smiled at Avalon and gave Kitridge a wave but didn’t get too close to everyone. This introvert wasn’t ready for her recently recharged social batteries to drain just yet.
Her interest was drawn to the covered things. Whatever were they, hmm?
Mamie had felt like a niffler in a bank vault when she found out Divination was going to be outside today, and she was still pretty chipper when she got down to the lake where their beloved Head of House had set up for class.
"Hello Professor!" she greeted happily as she arrived. Eyeing the crates--they looked suspicious to her, she tilted her head a little, wondering what could be inside. "What's in the crates?" Might as well just ask before she had to wonder too long.

Outside classes were the VERY best kind. Making kids sit inside stuffy rooms when it was so nice out was practically a criminal offense! So Kizzy was very pleased that Professor Kitridge was taking the nice weather into account. Having headed out a little earlier than she needed to, Kizzy practiced a few cartwheels nearby before making her way over to join the group.
"Hi Professor," she said skeptically, eyeing the covered crates. The wheels in her head began turning, but there was really only one thing on her mind. "Can we learn how to talk to the giant squid today?" Please? PLEASE? PLEEEEEEEEEASSEEEE?

The weather was beauuutiful. Could all the classes be held outdoors, please? Like some of her classmates, Irithel was pleasantly surprised to hear that the Divination lesson would be taught on the grounds. That means Charms, Transfiguration and even Potions could be held outside! They could all carry their cauldrons and workstations and ingredients and brass scales and ... eh, never mind.
"Hi, Professor," she greeted with a wave AND a snap. After glancing around the small group already there, she walked over to sit next to Ashley. Why was she crouching like that? Anyway. Irithel smiled at her roommate and looked to the professor to see if she would answer her question. What were they doing in this lesson, hmmm? Ravenclaws are curious.

It was a lovely day and Naya was happy that class was being held outdoors. On top of that, they were meeting by the lake. The lake was one of her favorite spots on the grounds. “Hello Professor”, she said as she joined the gathering.
Eyeing the crates next to the Professor, Naya was curious. What could they possibly contain and did it have anything to do with their location? She set down her bag, looked around and tried to gues what they would be up to today.

A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
A lesson outside by the Lake was just what Minjae needed. He always enjoyed being outdoors and the sunny spring weather was very welcoming today.
Upon seeing the small group of students gathered around in the distance and the Professor snapping away seriously, did she never get tired of that? , the hufflepuff joined them a minute or so later.
"Hey Professor. Nice choice doing a lesson outside with this fine weather" he nodded approvingly before his eyes went to the crates and he wondered what was inside but also knew he would get the answer soon enough.
Taking his bag off of his shoulders, Minjae dropped it to the ground and followed after it, sitting with folded legs and waited for class to start.

Heath usually avoided the great lake area like the plague! It was a bad reminder of that ill-fated kelpie lesson from last term and how his misguuded strategy nearly got another student hurt, but the sunny spring weather helped to push those thoughts from his mind. As he approached thw group, his eyes were immediately drawn to the crates. What was in there? He was curious but not worried about it. He trusted Professor Kitridge not to subject them to anything life-threatening. "Hello, Professor," he greeted with a polite nod of acknowledgment.
Spotting Claudine, he went to stand next to her. "Hi," he said, smiling slightly. His eyes darted from her to the crates and back again. "What do you think is in those?"

Spring had come to Hogwarts, and with it warmer temperatures and Cole wasn't complaining one bit since he had been freezing in the castle during the winter months. Heading down to the lake gathering for the divination lesson he was smiling from ear to ear as she stopped next to his girlfriend in the little group of students. He gave Naya's left hand a quick squeeze as he mumbled. "Hello Naya," before he turned his eyes toward their professor with a bright beam. "Hi Professor Kitridge, are we going to be water scrying today?" It was hard not to wonder about the contents of the crates at the blond woman's feet, but Cole was patient. He knew it'd be revealed soon enough.
Violet sighed to herself as she made the long walk out to one of her least favorite classes, Divination. After nearly two years, it still felt like just making stuff up (and Violet felt she wasn't very good at it, either). But at least it was outdoors, and the weather was finally to feel like spring.
It was DIVINATION TIME. Aboli was not only delighted to have class, but she was also delighted it was outside when the weather was this wonderful. She spotted Bernie and Avalon, but she chose to stand next to Minjae and nudged him with her elbow. "Hey," she said gently. She hadn't spoken to him much since their date, and she wondered if Noah had filled him in on her confession...
And speaking of Noah, she REALLY was avoiding him lately. Especially since she had no definitive answer on what he wanted, and she was trying not to feel completely crushed about it.
Everything was....fine.
Yep.
"Professor K, hey!" she waved across the way at her.

Charlie was so excited to be having class outside and she wasn't a fan of the outside but she really liked divination and thats all that mattered to her. It would have been better if she wasn't in her drab uniform but she would survive anyways. She smiled, "Hi Professor! How are you?" She gave a small wave before finding a spot to stand.

Quiet ones always interested Cassie, were they just quiet or was something going on? You could never figure it out with teenager. Either way though she gave a smile and hello.

Oooh she liked how Kizzy thought, "No, we aren't talking to Bartholomew today, but I promise there isn't really a special way to talk to him. If you see him just go up and start talking. He truly loves to see people." She enjoyed her conversations with him.

"I am doing just lovely, I hope you are too."
"I am so glad you have joined me on such a lovely day everyone. Mr. Cole had already asked about doing some water readings and even though today would be an amazing day for it, that is not what we are doing. " She looked around smiling at everyone. "Do you know what I love so much about divination?" Giving them a minute to think about it or even give a reason they thought she just smiled bigger, "I love it because it is everywhere and as long as you allow your sixth sense to come alive you will be able to find readings in so many places."
She walked back and forth a bit to be able to be in front of the crates and be able to make eye contact with all the students. "While we are on the grounds we feel for the most part safe, don't you think? What happens when there is something that isn't safe though? Don't we usually have a gut feeling?" Again she looked at them to see some nodding, "Has anyone heard of any form of divination that is kind of like a gut instinct? Something that you can read to tell about your surroundings?"
"Hi Irithel." Ashley looked at Irithel sitting on the ground skeptically. Sitting was dangerous, didn't she know? However she kept this thought to herself as she looked even more skeptically at the professor, who was talking about doing divination at any time. Not bothering to correct her name, she moved on the the question. "I am sorta enjoying the day, yes. Yes, I get gut feelings all the time. I haven't heard of divination for that, but... if you have a gut feeling, why do you need divination for that? Is it for people who don't have a gut feeling? Or is it just to make extra-sure?" Because if you had a perfectly fine gut feeling, why do you need another one?
She observed the patch of grass in front of her as she listened to the professor talk about why she loves divination. Because it is everywhere? Hmmm, but couldn't that be said for a lot of magical subjects, like Herbology? Plants are everywhere, even seemingly insignificant ones like the grass that covers the ground they are currently dangerously sitting on. That is why Irithel loves learning about plants. Still, divination probably does cover a wider range of space than other subjects, though she did not know exactly how to find readings outside the classroom.
When the professor said that they feel mostly safe on the grounds, Irithel glanced at Ashley, who did not look like she felt safe. "Don't most forms of divination use gut instinct to some extent?" she asked, raising her hand. She thought divination relies more on intuition than logical reasoning.
Serena stifled back a yawn as she leaned against arms, which she had propped up behind her. Having class outside was a brilliant idea, especially in such pleasant weather - oh, but Merlin, all this warm sunshine was making her sleepy. So sleepy in fact, that she almost missed Professor Kitridge's question. Almost
Blinking away her drowsiness, Serena took a second to gather herself then raised her hand to answer "Is it premonition, Professor?" taking a guess. She knew very well the feeling that Professor Kitridge was talking about.
Kale had no idea what was going on. His eyes were too busy being ZONED IN on the crates. That felt like a mystery. He wasn't a Ravenclaw. He didn't live for mysteries. But he did love surprises. And a surprise was just an unsolved mystery, basically.
The fourth year went on staring, soaking up some lovely sunshine, while the lesson progressed. A question was asked about gut instinct. Something Kale seriously lacked. And he kept on staring. He REALLY wanted to know what was in the crates, Professor. SHOW AND TELL. SHOW AND TEEEELL.

Honestly, when Cecelia was feeling unsafe, it wasn't just her gut that clued her in. It was her whole body. "I usually get this shiver down my back if I'm feeling like something bad might happen wherever I am, Professor." It was like having somebody dump a cup of super cold water down your shirt or something. Not the best feeling in the world, that much was for sure. As for types of divination that are like gut instincts, Cecelia wasn't so sure. "Is there a divination that has to do with tummy rumbling?" That would be kind of similar, right?

Uh. Adam was probably not the best person to ask about gut instincts. Because he was usually wrong. Like, REALLY wrong. The question was also taking his brain a moment to process. She wasn't asking WHAT happened when he got a gut feeling, but rather what type of DIVINATION used gut feelings in their readings. Uh. Didn't all of them do that? Sort of? He agreed with the older Ravenclaw who said so, and then raised his hand.
"Is being a Seer considered using your gut feelings? Because if you're a Seer who can see the future and stuff your gut feelings are probably right more often than normal people," he explained. Made sense to him!

With her dividing her attention between her classmates and the hidden things, Claudine was able to spot Heath approaching. It was no surprise when he came to a stop beside her. “Hi, you.’’ Then she shook her head. “I haven’t the faintest of ideas.’’ Truthfully, she wasn’t hurting her head in trying to figure it out either. After all, it would be revealed soon.
Also… no. She hadn’t any ideas why Kitridge loved this highly uncertain subject. But yes, she did know of gut instinct. Did this mean there were entrails under those covers? Claudine’s imagination went wild in that uncomfortable direction.
As for that question, she hadn’t anything to say about gut Divination. In her opinion, observing changes in one’s surroundings was a whole lot easier and reliable.

Naya so was busy wondering what was in the crates, she almost didn’t see Cole arrive. Returning his hand squeeze, the seventh year gave her boyfriend a smile and a wink. ”Hey there”, she said quietly. Just then, her attention was captured by Professor Kitridge, who began to speak as class began.
Naya listened and learned that they would not be working with the water. That still didn’t answer the question of what was in the crates. She didn’t have time to linger on that thought however, because it was question time. Naya almost laughter when the professor asked if they felt safe on the grounds. Did one ever really feel safe at Hogwarts?
The gut feeling though, that Naya knew something about. She raised her hand to add to the discussion. “Sometimes when I feel like something just isn’t right, the hairs on my arm stand up.” Other times, she just felt weird. It was hard to explain. As for the gut feeling Divination type, she had no idea.
