Riley didn't like to leave the doors to the back of the shop closed while the store was open. Despite his many theft detectors and charms to stop criminal activity, he didn't trust many people and would much rather be able to keep an eye on them himself.

"Just got a shipment in." He nudged several big boxes. "Gobstones, Fanged Frisbees, Chess sets and exploding snap in these." With his wand, he opened the boxes so that she wouldn't have to waste time trying to do that herself. "'S'an inventory list here." He gestured to a long scroll on top of another box, "Make sure the same amount of inventory you take out of these boxes is the amount listed on the scroll." Not hard. "If not, come get me." Also not hard. "If everything's right, you can go ahead and start stocking the shelf." He patted the boxes and stepped towards the heavy doors, casting glances around quickly.

"You can call me Riley, if you want." He added, "But Mr. Newcomb in front of customers, alright?"

He almost head back out to the register before he paused to give her a look, "Questions?"

BOXES. Elodie wiggled her eyebrows a little upon sight of the boxes and started nodding. She could find one she'd fit in and turn into a makeshift boat. This was going to be the best job ever. She took the list into her hands and mulled it over a little and continued nodding. "If there isn't the right amount, do we get to yell at people? I can do that. I'd be good at that." You know..if he needed suggestions of what to put her to use for for the summer. She could also eat ice cream, cook spaghetti and babysit if those were required. And balancing a spoon on her nose.

That was her party trick.

In fact. "Yeah, I've got a questiooon. You got a party trick, Riley?" No customers back here. Just the shipment that she was having to HANDLE. Booooooo. She was still calling him Riles to everyone else.

"Also..if I'm making coffee and stuff, do we get to go for work buddy ice creams too?" It was going to be a thing.

She actually got a grin from him with that question. "Yep, we sure do. I'll let you handle that, okay? You're a little spit-fire." So maybe she'd come in handy after all. She certainly was going to be amusing, anyway. He might even be lonely after she went back to school...

Naaaah.

Except that other question gave him pause. "A party trick? Does drinking a lot of firewhiskey count?" He was being serious too. That's what he DID at parties. He drank firewhiskey. Maybe this kid should get to work. He glanced back out the doors again, sweeping his gaze across the floor and to the counter. No one was there, so that was good.

Work buddy ice creams.

"Yeah, we'll see." Not likely.

Standing herself in front of a box, she looked over the stuff in it and grinned. Explooooooding snap. 'SPLODIN SNAP. If Riles was super-de-duper-de nice, then she'd spend some proper money here just before she went back to school. Only if he was real nice and deserved it and stuff. "Awesome." On second thoughts... "If we get real rude customers, can I kick them out?" With real human force. She could do that. She punched the air before her a few times before giggling.

Elodie was SO owning this job at everything it stood for and more.

Drinking a lot of firewhiskey? Els put her hand on her hip and shook her head. "Don't most adults do that? No. I mean the worm, or something." If she had a spoon, she could show him her party trick. But it was okay. She'd bring a spoon tomorrow, and maybe a trip wire. LISTS, OKAY. LISTS. Starting to empty one box out, Els counted things in her head and stuff.

"Prrrrrroooomise?"

Party pooping pooper.

Now...was that twelve or thirteen that she had already counted?!

Riley grinned again, rather pleased with this question, "Well, we'll see how it goes, yeah?" No problem customer would return after getting kicked out by a -very tall- little girl. He glanced back again to see that he had a customer waiting at the register. "I'll try to think of a better answer. I've got to grab the register. Soon as you're done here, come get me and I'll show you where everything goes." He made his way out the door, "I'm sure you'll do well mingling with customers." Might even make him more business, too.

He nodded at Elodie and hurried off to attend to his customers.

Rosie cooed at the boy, almost in response to his question. It was just good timing, however. Maybe also the fact that her mummy was always chatting to her and she just liked to make almost talky noises too.

"Exploding snap is a good one." Pepper grinned and nodded approvingly. Though there were loads of interesting things in the shop to have picked from. She would have approved of any choice. "I just got a delivery of flying carpets in this morning." She spoke as she opened a few boxes with the help of her wand. "I was thinking we could start with these." She pulled one from the box and shook it out. "Setting them on the floor, they have a special place behind glass with charms, but I'll take care of that."

Well, the baby was cute. Really. Did you hear her make those baby like noises? As long as she didn't vomit all over Tag or gave him a headache he wouldn't mind with the infant being here. Really, she probably stuck with Pepper the whole time, anyway.

He followed her to back room and watched her get out a box and opened it up with her wand. Listening intently he nodded when she told him what he wanted to do. BUT OH MY GOSH! FLYING CARPETS! Was Pepper very well aware that Tag riding anything, anything at all was dangerous?! Mattress surfing had turned out to be a danger for Tag and Lottie, and that hadn't been charmed to fly. But flying carpets. The boy smiled and squeed and bounced a bit. Hopefully he could ride one sometime this summer.

"So, you just want me to stack them up on the floor?" Just to be extra sure. But, it was simple enough. And, although she wasn't pregnant anymore, Tag didn't want Pepper straining herself doing these things, especially with Rosie attached to her.

"Not on the floor, no. They have a shelf." Pepper nodded and made a stack of flying carpets, neatly folding them up to make them look pretty and to show off all the colors. "I'll open it up for you, if you can carry these out for me." She nodded to the stack and then to the boy. Wasn't hard work, she wasn't going to run him ragged. That was no fun at all, was it?

Good thing Tag had asked, right?! Tag watched as the carpets were folded up by Pepper. Yes, carrying all those carpets, although somewhat light, but with so many, could be straining for her. Besides, Tag needed the workout a bit, yes? Yes. He walked over to the flying carpets and picked them up in his arms. Now, onward to the shelf. "Of course I will carry these out for you." Smile! Awesome intern was awesome!

She had somehow gotten the internship. And at a shop she liked buying things from too. Lily made her way to the Wiseacres shop from the crowded streets of Diagon Alley. Which were usually mostly filled with Hogwarts kids. This was probably not the place for the short Beauxbaton girl. Either way, she opened the door to the shop and walked in. Oh yeah, she could definitely get used to working here. Her blue eyes darted from side to side as Lily walked towards the back room. This is where they meet up, right?

Pepper was indeed waiting in the storage room. Wesley had been over before the shops opened and pulled the heavy doors to prop them open for her. He was just the cutest, didn't want her to hurt herself, especially with being pregnant. Unfortunately he had his own shop to work and she had to leave the doors propped open until he could come back later and close them. She had put extra security measures at the doorway, though, to be extra sure that no one would come back and try to steal things.

She hadn't finished them just yet, as she was awaiting her intern. And ah, there she was now. Pepper set down the clipboard that she'd been using with her belly as a table, and smiled warmly at the girl, "Hello, hello, welcome." She offered her hand too, "I'm Pepper." She could call her Pepper. Mrs. Roderick was too formal.

Oh. Hello pregnant shopkeeper.

Lily quietly gave her props in her head, for still working while with child. Most women would just stay at home or take leave off work. Do what pregnant lady things. Like lamas classes and stuff. Smiling, Lily took Pepper's hand and shook it. "Hi, I'm Lily," She grinned. Well, Lilian, but only her dad called her that. When in trouble and all those teenager things they get yelled at for. But she was excited to be interning here. Yay!

Oh, a wonderful polite child! How lovely! Pepper hadn't exactly been expecting a bad child, but with the way some kids acted, she knew it was always a possibility. But this was going to be just fine, just like the other times. After shaking hands, Pepper grinned, "It's certainly nice to meet you, dearie. I do hope we'll have loads of fun this summer." She gestured to some boxes that were sitting near, "Shall we get started? No customers in just yet so it would be a good idea to re-stock and all." Pepper flicked her wand and lifted one of the boxes, the heavy one, from the ground. She wasn't going to be doing any heavy lifting for quite a while.

You can pick whichever one you want. Whatever item you'd prefer to work with." It wasn't as if there weren't like SO many to choose from!

Lily grinned. She liked this shopkeeper. Not that the others were grumpy and all that. Very few were. Like the grumpy wandmaker. "I hope so too," she smiled. Interning here seemed fun to her anyway. Maybe she'll buy a two way mirror in the end of it. Lily nodded, walked over and lifted a box up. Swimming gave her strong legs but didn't do much for her toothpick arms, as to what her dad called them.

"Really?" Whichever one she wanted? But Lily was too interested in most of them, Nonetheless, she'll have choose one in the end.
