Her daddy must have been just as pretty as Pepper, because little Rosie was just the SWEETEST LITTLE LOOKER HE EVER SAW.

And she didn't seem like one of those constant wailers like his own granddaughter had been, which was lovely. Sherman adored her immediately.

"Can I?" Yes. Yes, he wanted to. Give the baaaaby to Shermie, Pep. His baby now.

He tentatively outstretched his crinkly old hands and gave the little girl a shy smile. Aww. Cutie.

"Of course!" Pepper made busy unfastening the contraption that she carried Rosie in. This was a really nifty thing, though. Didn't he think so? It made her life easier to just have her baby attached to her and her arms free for other things. Life made easy.

"Here we go." She held out the baby, carefully depositing her in the man's arms. "Say hello to Shermie, Rosie." Hehe. Shermie and Rosie.

La la laaaaaaa. LUNCH TIME.

Which also meant PEPPER TIME. And ROSIE TIME. Because Pepper worked juuuust down the street now and she had morning duty with their little ray of sunshine, so basically Wesley's day was about to be MADE. Pepper and Rosie were his favorite things, you know. Right above lunch. And pudding.

Walking into the shop, Wesley poked his nose around. "Pepperrrrrrr," he called out as he made his way to the counter. Where was his cute little faaamilyyyy?

Pepper and Rosie had been polishing telescopes. Or well, Pepper was polishing and Rosie was drooling all over Pepper's shirt. The quiet shop was ideal time for Rosie to have a nap, and she was all curled up like a little kitten. Pepper just thought it was the most adorable thing in the WORLD. Then again, she thought everything her daughter did was the most adorable thing in the world.

"Ooooh. Rosie Posie, daddy's here!" Pep grabbed up her wand and headed in the direction of the counter, where she was sure she'd heard Wesley's voice. "Shhh. It's nap time."

Hearing Pepper's voice, Wesley whipped around and saw his lovely wifey and baby heading towards him. "Hellooo--" oh, sleepy baby, "--oooooohhh. Can I have one?" Nap time, that was. Hehe.

Wesley carefully hugged Pepper so he didn't squish Rosie and gave both of them little kisses. "How's the day going?" he asked, still quietly. Look at Pepper being all shopkeepy and stuff. HOW CUTE.

"Hellooooo back." Pep grinned and kissed her hubby-face. Wasn't this nice? It was. IT WAS NICE. "She just fell asleep, so we might be able to have lunch before she gets up. Food's up in the lounge." Pepper scooted around Wesley to set the alarm on the door louder so if someone came in while they were upstairs, she'd hear and be able to go assist them.

"We are having a good day." She replied, leading him in the direction of the back stairs that went up to the hostel. "A very, very, slow, cold, wintery, good day."

The Abbotts approached the Wiseacres counter. They had spent great amount of time looking around in the shop. This store was full of magical objects and they wished they could buy as many things as possible. But they decided that they should only purchase things that are important for Leah's first year at Hogwarts.

"Hello, how much will this pink telescope and Seven-Lock Trunk cost all together?" Leah's father asked the shopkeeper.

Pepper and Rosie rounded the corner and headed behind the counter upon seeing a few customers standing over there, waiting for assistance. She flashed a bright smile and glanced over the two items, "It'll be 9 sickles even, sir." She left the man to gather up and count his coins and went about wrapping up the items diligently.

Telescopes needed a bit of extra attention since they were rather breakable, of course.

Mr. Abbott counted out coins from his wallet and handed it to the shopkeeper. "Here you are," he said. Leah noticed that Pepper was extra careful in handling the telescope.

"Thank you, have a nice day." Leah said as she took the telescope and the trunk from the shopkeeper and gave a friendly wave to the baby girl too. The Abbotts soon left the shop, happy at the equipments they managed to purchase.

Annabel and her parents walked up to the counter, carrying the magical trunk and telescope. "How much" she asked the person behind the counter, smiling at them.

Colin whistled as he strolled into the store. He had his girlfriend in one hand and some sandwiches in the other. Hellllllllo well deserved lunch break. And what better way to spend a lunch than annoying his named-after-spices sister-in-law.

"Pep!" he nearly shouted looking around. Where was she anyway?

Saxon was following alongside Colin, whom seemed to be enjoying that sandwich, she had gotten for him. Excuse him, attention on the girlfriend please? Yes, that would be appreciated. But then, when Saxon saw where they were heading she started to quietly laugh.

Oh dear. This is where Wesley's wife worked, yeah? Last time the bunch of them tried hanging out it turned out to be some teasing bickering going about. So, what was Colin up to? "Pepper! Your favorite salt is here....Saxon....oh, yeah, and then there's Colin!" Mhm. Did she hear her?

At the first sound of the bell, Pepper automatically assumed CUSTOMERS and got all excited and flaily because it was summer time now and the kiddies would be in soon and she sure did like having the little ones around. So did Rosie, in fact.

With the one and a half year old on her hip, Pepper ushered the both of them into the main shop room and up to the counter and that was when she spotted who exactly was in her shop. In laws. If Pepper hated her brother in law (she didn't, okay?) it wouldn't even matter in the slightest because Rosie adored him. The little girl threw her arms in the air and shouted something that could have been close to 'Uncle' or maybe 'banana'. Pepper smiled at them both and held the baby in front of her, "Hello, you two. Lunch break?"

Colin laughed. Blondie was cute. It also made him happy that she called herself salt. The whole spice thing really amused him. He still didn't understand how someone could have named Pep "Pepper."

"Yeah. Lunch break." he said hopping onto the counter and going back to eating his yummy sammich.

"Hey Paprika." he said giving his niece a head rub.

Look how adorable Paprika Rosie was being with Colin. That put a small smile to Saxon's face. And Colin was petting her? No. More...yes, well, in some sense Colin was showing Rosie affection and it made him look cute as well. Saxon, on the other hand, scared that she was some sort of danger to herself, simply, and gently shook the little baby girl's hand. "Aren't you the cutest thing ever? How old is she, again?" The blonde was simply curious.

"Yep, yep. Lunch break. Decided to drop by and give you some business, or even company." Saxon started, giving Colin a look. "And I think Colin has ideas on thinking this is his shop." Manners, Colin, seriously. "How are you today?"

Paprika was NOT her child's name, but Colin didn't seem to notice that, or care, really. Pepper figured that so long as the 'affectionate name' wasn't detrimental to her daughter, she wouldn't put up a fuss about it. Her Uncle Colin was the only one who called her that anyway, and surely Rosie would grow up with the understanding that Uncle Colin was an odd duck. Instead, the brunette turned her attention to the sane(er?) one in the relationship, "She'll be two years on Christmas Eve." TWO YEARS. Crazyness.

She glanced at Colin again, noting that his bottom was seated on her counter. "Colin." She said with a very serious face. "The mahogany!" Lulz. Okay. She couldn't pass that up.

Oh. How adorable was that? Two years old coming up very soon. But Christmas Eve, a birthday and the actual holiday. Hmm. How did that go in the family? Quite an interesting thought. "Do you celebrate her birthday in any special way? Because Christmas Eve and a birthday all at the same time. It can get to be a lot." Just curiosity over here, you know? Hopefully Saxon wasn't going over the line asking a question like that.

Pepper didn't have to answer.

"Seriously?!" C'mon Colin! How rude of him was that? And so Saxon simply tried to do her best to push him off the counter. Tried. He had quite a good build on him. Man. "What do you eat?" Seriously. Wheaties didn't make someone have this physique.

"1 telescope please."

Ophelia plopped all of her three items open the counter, furiously scratching the side of her nose and showing the shopkeeper the newspaper nails that her sister successfully did. They were pretty cute, and it wasn't like her sister was untalented when it came to... everything. Yeah, the blonde had successful siblings, which put some pressure on her as the youngest. And how did she respond to any pressure? By pretending that it didn't exist and going on with her daily child life. Because why worry about stuff now hen you could worry about everything at once later, right?

Anyway, smiling up at the shopkeeper, the blonde straightened and flattened her braid as she looked over the items to make sure she had everything. Looked good.

"I'd like all of this." Making a circle gesture with her arm, Ophelia pointed to everything and hoped the woman wouldn't notice her stupid farmers tan. Man, he should've really worn more tank tops during the summer. Stupid summer and stupid tan. Whatever, Hogwarts was going to be cool so it didn't matter. "Oh! Please." Big smile up at the shopkeeper to hopefully not make her angry and some sparkle in her brown eyes. That's how 'Ophie was going to make up for not saying please. So... hopefully that worked.

Getting out the small money bag from her light blue shorts, the shorter girl -she was like five foot two and very proud of those two inches- waited to see how much money she would need to get out of the little baggy.

Pepper was surprised to see someone at the counter waiting as she walked up. She had just been upstairs checking in on Rosie who was still sleeping, and now she had returned to a lovely girl. "Of course, of course, dear. I hope you weren't waiting long." She gathered up the purchases and noted the girl's nice manicure as she did. "Your nails are very lovely." Because she knew she sure liked it when people complimented her.

"Hmm. That'll be..." She paused for a moment to punch a few things on her register. "9 galleons, 15 sickles and 27 knuts, please."

Awww, thank you! Ophelia was really proud of requesting a manicure from her sister. It was like a big step in the girly direction, and even though she wasn't really girly, it still felt cool to dress up. And do your hair and stuff. Except, it got in the way of all of her climbing and running. Do you know how hard it is to climb a tree and try not to mess up your nail polish? It was not an easy task, and it left the blonde feeling like a secret agent . And it meant that really creative ideas had to be taken into play. Luckily, 'Ophie was really good at being creative.

Okay, the child was spending a lot of money in Diagon Alley. The firsite was expecting to have some pocket change left over for... something later on. Apparently that wasn't going to happen. Stupid school supplies and such. Maybe she should've taken all of the hand-me-downs her siblings offered. Oh well, the child was stubborn as a mule. It was a weakness of hers. A BIG weakness of the brown eyed girls.

"Thank you for the complement!" Yeah, that felt pretty good. Collar popping good. Like that clip that her red head internet --how they even got internet at the Clarke house was the real source of magic here-- friend showed her. Except the guy who collar popped ended up being not so good. Maybe Ophelia would bring it back into style. That was her first year goal. Bring back the collar pop.

Anyway, matters of money. Placing all of that money on the counter made her feel like she was rich, considering the fact that she didn't actually run out of money yet. Not to brag or anything, because the small girl was kind of low on money, but she didn't run out. It was the little victories that mattered.

Pepper smiled, such a polite little girl, it was a nice thing to see. "You are very welcome, dearie." She gathered the coins and placed them in their proper places inside the till and then she flicked her wand at the purchased items, they wrapped themselves up in paper and bubble wrap and all sorts of things to protect the items inside, and then into a nice bag for the girl to carry. Pep handed the bag over and nodded her head, indicating a large glass container on the desk that was filled to the brim with all sorts of candies. "Feel free to take one, or two even since you're such a polite girl." She did appreciate polite people, and especially children.

Aww, she was polite? Her siblings would have something to say about that, but because they weren't here and couldn't be snarky, Ophelia just smiled and shrugged. But seriously. Her family taught her to be nice out in public. She might not act like a LADY, but she certainly was one.

Also, 'Ophie wanted to learn that wrapping magic now. Because wrapping presents at Christmas was a hassle, and if the little blonde gave one more half wrapped present, her family was likely to literally revolt. So how did wrapping magic work, again? Because that seemed more than useful for whatever the kid with the braid was going to be doing next. Speaking of braids, the tan girl felt for any loose hairs in hers and took down her French braid, seeing as it was disheveled. This was why she usually didn't do her hair. It fell out anyway. What was the point?

Oooh candy! Well, the firstie wasn't really SUPPOSED to have candy. It was one of her moms rules of the household. But... what her parents didn't know wouldn't hurt them. Taking two pieces and smiling up at the woman, she took the bag from the lady kindly and waved goodbye. Because this woman was soooooo kind. Like seriously, awesome.

Pepper made sure the package was wrapped up tight and safe before she watched the young girl select her candy and head out to do more shopping. She waved, wiggling her fingers and smiling, even after the door shut and the bell twinkled, signaling that her customer had left. She tapped the counter, she closed up the till and locked it until the next time she needed to use it again.

Then she headed off once more, rubbing her belly and dreaming about lunch. Mmmmm. Lunch. Too bad it was still early.

Tessa walked up to the counter, her parents helping with carrying the trunk she was going to buy. They talking amongst themselves as they waited for the shopkeeper.
