When your shopping experience, or stay has come to an end, please make your way to the front of the shop, where the check out counter is located. Check out of your room, make your purchases, request gift wrapping, or direct general questions to the shopkeeper.

Once you leave the shop, you will find yourself on the South End of the Street. We hope you enjoyed your time in Wiseacres, and that you come again soon!

OOC: Under no circumstances should you RP for the Shopkeeper. Wiseacres is a very large store, and I may be busy with another customer, please wait your turn patiently, everyone will get the proper amount of attention.

Invisibility Cloaks, Flying carpets and timeturners will not be sold to underage children, and must go through Ministry clearance. The shopkeeper reserves the right to deny sale of any item she deems worthy.

Riley was leaning against the counter, the Daily Prophet spread out across the top. He'd gotten used to the quiet with the children being in school, but now that they were out again, he was having a little trouble concentrating over the shouting and general excited nature.

He didn't much care, though. With all the anti-theft devices and charms on this place, he could afford to be a distracted. Besides, he wanted to see if his store advertisement had run this week.

Once she found everything she was looking for, and some things she wasn't looking for, Cece placed them on the counter to pay for them.n

Two pounds of floo powder, an Anti-Burglary Buzzer to keep unwanted people out of her office, six everlasting candles, a magical camera, a Remembrall and two howlers for her little cousin. She had a feeling that remembrall wasn't going to do the trick so Zoe would still end up getting herself into trouble, therefore getting a howler from Cece.

"How much do I owe you?" She asked once she had everything loaded onto the counter. Instead of looking at Riley, she busied herself getting her money out of her bag.

Hopefully he wouldn't take too long totaling up her order.

Riley had taken to glancing through the paper again, but when Cece showed up at the counter, he pushed it aside to do his job. She was just going to be treated like any other customer, that was surely what she wanted since she had assured him she hadn't come here to see HIM.

"Four Galleons and three Sickles, there." He started to pack up her things while she counted out her money.

Finally, everything bought, this was the last on her list. Tora hauled all her previous purchases with her into the shop and struggled up to the counter where she dumped all her stuff at her feet. What a long day!
There was a customer in front of her already, but she looked about to leave so it was all good in Tora's book. (Unlike that one storekeeper at Ollivander's... she was still fuming over that episode a tad)

Riley really didn't see the point in trying to make conversation with Cece. All she was going to do was tell him over and over that she hadn't come here to see him, so why did he need to talk to her about anything? If she didn't care, why should he?

He handed over her change and placed the neatly wrapped package in front of her, "Have a lovely day now, ma'am." He said with a grin.

So this is what things had come to for them, Riley acting as if he didn't even know Cece, as if she was just some random customer that walked into his shop. She would have commented on his new found attitude towards her but he had gone and moved on to the customer behind her.

"Thanks," was all she said. She didn't dare try saying anything else right now, she just needed to get out of there. With a ache in her chest and sadness in her eyes she grabbed the package off the counter and left.

Tora no longer needed to glance down at her school supplies list- she had long since memorized it. One telescope, one set of protective gloves. That was all she needed then she was freeeeeeee!

Natasha made her way to the counter. There was already a customer being helped, so she grabbed a few other things, and then returned to the line. She had picked up a remembrall, 2 way mirror set, playing cards, everlasting candles, and spellotape.

She also needed a telescope, but there were several different types, and she did not know which one would best suit her for school - she hoped the shop keeper could advise her.

Riley placed the money in the till and slammed it shut. He didn't know what Cece was expecting him to do, if she was looking for some kind of proclamation of love, then she was looking at the wrong guy.

Besides, he wasn't a mind reader. She wasn't telling him anything, so he wasn't doing anything.

"I do happen to have magical trunks, if you're interested in buying one." He knew the girl was joking, but perhaps if she knew he did carry them, she would actually want to buy one. Riley flicked his wand and levitated a big trunk over the shop to sit on the counter, "They're much lighter than they look, trust me."

With a flick of his wand, he levitated the telescope over to the counter and showed it to the girl.

Light?! Geez... it sure didn't look it. She wasn't really looking to buy a trunk (she already had one waiting at home) but she smiled at the shopkeeper anyway. Before she went ANYWHERE else, Sophie needed... something to carry stuff in. Her mum had advised her to get a moleskin pouch or SOMETHING to carry things in from Wiseacres BEFORE she bought anything else... but Sophie just had to go to Ollivander's first. She couldn't help it. She NEEDED her wand. So, with her packaged polish kit and wand in hand, the incoming first year hurried into Wiseacres to follow her mother's seemingly good advice.

Okay. She could handle this. No biggie. She strolled right toward the front counter and awaited her turn with the cashier. He would be able to help, no problem, no judgments. Just a friendly face who wouldn't make her feel stupid for not knowing where anything would be. And then she could pay for it and get it and just GO because she had a lot more to buy.

It was the shopping spree of her dreams, really. Nothing could bring her down today.

He was still shaking his head over this intern he'd been sent. Really, was this someone's idea of a joke? Sure, send the bubbly blonde child to Riley's shop, he'll get a real kick out of that.

He was going to have to have a talk with someone.

But now, he had other things to be doing, like making money. Speaking of money. "'Ello there miss, something I can help you with?" He leaned on the counter and offered a friendly smile to the small child. See? Miss Elodie? He COULD be nice.

Pause. "So I need some advice. My mum said it'd be really useful to get a mokeskin pouch. That could carry some stuff, right? Or... d'you have something bigger - big, but easy enough to carry around Diagon Alley?" Really, what did everyone else do? She had seen a lot of adults and older kids around Diagon Alley today, but few who looked her age. "Or could I get a couple of things to carry stuff in for different occasions and just put one inside the biggest carrier?" So she could have stuff inside stuff INSIDE STUFF. That would be cool. A good way to dissuade robbers and bullies from messing with her.

"Well now, I certainly shouldn't speak for all shopkeepers on the Alley, but I know I do, love." Riley suddenly felt like he'd feel HORRIBLE if he led this child to believe that and then some other shopkeeper told her no. Awful. This was new. He offered his hand, leaning on the counter, for the high five. "I try, kiddo." He grinned and watched her examine the pouch.

Did that child just sniff it?

He could respect that.

"Sure do, do you want to pick one out for yourself?" Cause there was a certain generic one some kids preferred, but others liked to have the choice. "That can certainly be owled to your house, if you don't have anyone to carry it for you." Where were this child's parents anyway? If Riley had a little girl, he would most certainly not let her wander off on her own like this. Or he would, but he would follow her everywhere she went...

Why was he even thinking about this?!

"I like being my own boss." He nodded and leaned on the counter again.

It wasn't as if Sherman had already chosen something to purchase, it was just that the only thing- person- he wanted to see was most likely to be found behind the counter. So, unlike the other customers filing in and bustling about through the shelves and displays, he headed there first.

Wheelchair positioned in front of the flat-topped fixture, he peeked over it.

Where was his favorite little lady, hmm? And what was his excuse to see her going to be?

Pepper had been in the back room sifting through boxes and taking inventory of everything the previous shopkeeper had sold to her. There was quite a lot of stuff, which was good. That meant she wouldn't have to get a shipment in for a while. Which also meant she'd have more time to work on other things.

At the sound of the bell, she gathered herself up from the ground and strapped Rosie in to the carrier on her chest. The little baby was such a good girl, which Pepper was learning more and more every day, and she was glad that little Rosie seemed to like mummy's new shop. So far.

Ah, a customer! "Hello sir!" She greeted the man as she stepped around the counter. Oh hey! A great grin appeared when she realized she knew this man. "Shermie! How are you?"

He really wanted to ring the bell some more. How many times could he do it while remaining unnoticed? The noise was somehow satisfying in a way, but Sherman managed to restrain himself and remain professional until Pepper appeared.

Which was when his face broke out in a huuuge grin.

"Hi Miss Pep! Congrats on the new shop! Is this the baby?" She was so CUTE SHERMAN JUST WANTED TO SQUISH HER LITTLE FACE AW.

Was that allowed?

Pepper immediately went back around to the other side of the counter. There was no point in being all the way back there when she had a Shermie to visit with. She would have hugged him, but she had a baby strapped to her now. "Surely is. Her name is Rose but her daddy and I call her Rosie. Do you want to hold her?"

Cause he SOOO could. Rosie was the BEST baby.
