Navigating the twists and turns of the shop with surprising swiftness considering the size of her baby bump, Pepper hurried up to the counter upon spotting a few customers waiting for her. "Hello, hello, good day to you." She smiled at the adults and then the young girl as well, motioning for them to place the trunk on the counter so she could properly wrap it and make it a bit easier for them to carry about the Alley. "It's 2 galleons and 3 sickles for the trunk."

Emilia walked into the store, looking for the thing she needed. She tried avoiding the items as much as possible. The last thing she needed was to bump one of them with her gangly limbs and break something. The only things she grabbed were a basic trunk, a telescope, and wizard's chess. She walked up to the counter and took her place in line.

What a beautiful sunny day!

And what a busy rush! It was surely summer time in Diagon Alley by the looks of the line in her shop. Pepper had just finished up with her fifth customer in a row only to find that there was another behind him. She smiled brightly at the girl as she motioned for her to set her things up on the counter. "Hello dear. Lovely day, isn't it?" She spent just a minute ringing the things up before looking towards the girl again. "That comes toooo...." Pause to check the till... "11 galleons 9 sickles 1 knut."

Cilla stood in line at the counter with her arms carrying an abacus, a telescope, a lunarscope, a crystal ball and a pack of self-shuffling playing cards. She was carefully making sure that she wasn't going to drop any items.

Zhenya walked up to the counter with her items in her arms, and one by one she unloaded them onto the counter; one telescope, one abacus, one Lunarscope, one crystal ball, and a two-way mirror, just for her own use. "Hello, just these items please," she said to the person behind the counter.

More customers! It seemed the theme of the day was polite and patient girls. Pepper could very much appreciate that. She wanted her girls to be polite and patient when they grew up too. "Hello there, dear." Quickly, she added up the sums in her head and nodded to herself upon reaching the correct answer. "That's 13 galleons and 4 sickles." YEP!

Ah, another one of those patient and polite children. This was shaping up to be a good day for her, wasn't it? "Lovely day, isn't it?" She offered a smile and wrapped up the packages carefully. 17 galleons and 12 sickles, love."

Zhenya was smiling up at the lady who was very kind. Actually very kind, not just… nice enough. She nodded, "It's BEAUTIFUL out there! I love feeling the sun." It was true, she loved the feeling of the sun on her skin. It was a delightful day, her skin was taking in all the rays it could. She dug in her pocket and handed the lady 17 gallons and 12 sickles and waited for it to be counted, just in case she had got the wrong amount out.

Cilla carefully put the items on the counter so she could pay for them. She reached into her bag, pulled out her purse and extracted 13 galleons and 4 sickles.

"There you are," Cilla said as she handed the money over to the shopkeeper.

Pepper beamed at the enthusiastic reply she got about the weather. "I do agree. Summer is the best time of the year." Not simply because of the amount of wonderful kids she got into her shop, but it definitely was the best thing to feel the sun on your skin. Just lovely. "Thank you." She quickly looked over the coins before dropping them into the till and handing over the packages. "Be sure to enjoy the day, dearie!"

Mhmm. Mhmm. As she felt the coins placed into her hand, Pepper paused, thinking she might have heard a cry from the monitor which would mean Miss Violet was awake and in need of her mama. She listened carefully for it again as she handed over the package, but didn't hear. "Thank you, dearie. Have a nice day!" And as soon as she was off, Pepper was going to check on her own little girl.

Cilla collected her purchases from the woman with a "Ta, love". She departed the store as she said, "Hope you have a fab day,"

It was a little bittersweet, knowing that this was going to probably be her last summer season in Diagon Alley. Now that she was pregnant with her third child, it just wasn't quite easy to have the other two between her shop and Wesley's, it was almost time for a life change.

But that didn't mean that Pepper wasn't going to keep up appearances, not at all. She was a very tidy shopkeeper and was currently using nap time as an opportunity to do some tidying.

Just until her next customer needed assistance, of course!

With her parents waiting for her by the door, Katherine walked to the counter with the telescope and magical trunk. She had already readied the money - 8 galleons and 3 sickles, because she didn't want to hog the line.

"Good morning," she said in a polite tone, put what she was holding on the counter and held the money in her hands to give when the shopkeeper wanted.

Sometimes Pepper wished that nap time was for adults as well as babies, but she also knew she had work to be doing, especially with all the students getting ready for another year of school. She returned to the counter after putting her girls down for their naps, and smiled at the girl who was waiting politely. "And a good morning to you too, miss." She smiled and tallied up the purchase, "8 galleons and 3 sickles, please."

Yay for summer fun shopping!

Katherine liked polite adults, so she smiled briiiiiightly at this one. She was eleven now, which meant she very well deserved to be treated with respect (which was why she was here making the purchase by herself anyway). So, once the lady told her the amount, she dropped it on the counter as she had already prepared, and grabbed the items.

"I wish you a pleasant day," she said, and turned around to get out with her parents.

Two shops: check.

Carl walked to the counter, looking around on his way. In his opinion, this shop was one of the oddest in Diagon Alley, in a good sense of course. There were Invisibility Cloaks, self-shuffling cards and flying carpets! He had always imagined that these things would exist in a magical world; it was as if everything came alive for him.

However, he did not need these for Hogwarts. Carl was only buying a telescope, which was clearly written on his school supply list. "Hello," he said as he made it to the shopkeeper. Holding out his telescope, he asked, "How much would this be?"

Oh dear, oh dear! What a darling pleasant child this was! Pepper was very impressed with the girl's manners. She was hoping that she would be as successful a parent that this girl must have had with her own daughters. Politeness was a very important thing to possess in life. "Thank you, miss, and you as well!"

Sweet!

Ah, and another polite child! Pepper was pleased that so far today she'd encountered several polite and cheerful children, it seemed quite a few were very excited to get to school. "Hello! One telescope is six galleons, please."She reached over the counter to take the telescope and wrap it safely while the boy gathered his money.

Six galleons ... Carl was not sure if that was a lot or not. He knew that it was cheaper than the price of his wand though, so that seemed right. A lesson about Wizarding money would be useful sometime. But for now, he took out six gold coins and handed them to the shopkeeper.

"Thank you!" Carl smiled at the sight of his nicely wrapped up telescope. He wanted to take it out right now and observe his surroundings even more closely, but he did not want to ruin the lady's work. After smiling at her gratefully, he took his telescope and walked out of the shop.

Pepper smiled as well. She deposited the money into the till and shut the drawer then leaned on the counter, watching as the boy made his way out of the shop. "Not a problem, dearie! Enjoy!" Cause who didn't love a good telescope, right?!

MadMadamMalfoy 04-29-2016 03:10 AM

Fiyero made his way to the front counter and rang the bell for service. "Hello," he greeted the shopkeeper with a cheery wave.

He carefully placed his purchases: a magical trunk, telescope, exploding snap game, and magical camera on the counter. His grandma had given him the 3 galleons for the camera, but he had to rifle through his bag for the rest of the money. Let's see... the telescope was 6 galleons, plus 2 galleons 3 sickles for the trunk, plus 9 sickles for the exploding snap, and the 3 galleons for the camera. "So that's 11 galleons 12 sickles, right?" he asked, doing the math in his head as he set the money on the counter.
