Gringotts Wizarding Bank is the premier facility for taking care of your valuables. Established and run by Goblins, Gringotts is the safest place in the entire Wizarding World. If your family does not already have a vault, you can get yourself a new account set up here, exchange your Muggle money for Galleons and if you are business savvy, you might even invest in a few shares of the Potions Market.
Gringotts Entrance Foyer If you go up the white marble stairs and through the burnished bronze double doors you will find yourself in Gringotts Wizarding Bank. A Goblin doorman wearing scarlet and gold stands in the doorway and on occasion, a Wizard or two with a probity probe might be found here, checking for troublemakers. There are large and decorative vases in each corner of this small foyer, each containing a flitterbloom plant that appears to wave at you as you pass by. Silver doors lead into the main hall, which is where you take care of your financial business. The Entrance Foyer is a busy spot, with many witches, wizards and goblins bustling through it. Feel free to linger for a while and examine the portraits on the walls of famous Curse-Breakers and Goblins, though if the Gringotts security think you are blocking the doors, they'll certainly tell you to move along and you better do what they tell you.
Gringotts Main Hall The main hall of Gringotts is a bustling place, impressive in its scope, scale and grandeur. The walls and the floors are made of gleaming marble and there are exquisite chandeliers lighting the hall. Long counters of dark and rich wood line each side of the hall. Goblins sit behind each desk, though there are a few witches and wizards wandering around. Beyond the long counters there are doors, leading from the hall to who knows where. Occasionally the doors appear to flicker if you stare at them for too long. The door which leads to the vaults and indeed to every other room in Gringotts, changes according to a secret schedule. This is the second of the safety precautions protecting the vaults beneath the ground. The first precaution is of course, the security Goblins and Wizards who are stationed at each door and roam the main hall and the entrance foyer.
Corridor to the Depths Behind one of the doors off the main hall is a corridor leading down to the vaults. They are made of rough hewn stone and are dimly lit, torches sit in iron brackets along the length of the corridor. The passage way slopes downwards and the stone floor has been worn smooth by centuries of use. The corridor is long, it takes about ten minutes to reach the tracks at the bottom. When you reach the bottom, in the company of a Goblin, you will be helped into a cart and your journey down to your vault will begin, twisting and turning and dropping miles below the ground.
Goblin Offices and Security Station One of the constantly changing doors from the main hall leads down a bare looking marble corridor, with private offices branching from it. The further along the corridor you get, the larger and more prestigious the offices are. The best Offices are set aside for those Goblins who hold significant positions in Gringotts. Quite often important meetings or appointments regarding Goblin business happen here. Usually meetings with ministry lackeys occur in one of the less well to do offices. No frills. If you are looking for a witch or wizard worker, you are better off going upstairs, most of them can be found somewhere near the Cursebreaker HQ, as its a little more cheerful up there. This is also where the Gringotts Security station can be found. Generally if you find yourself here, it will be under escort. The Gringotts Security Force is made up of Goblins and Wizards alike. In the main room, there is a wooden bench along one wall where anyone may wait and old fashioned, temporary jail cells along another. There are also several desks and aside from the cells, the holding room is actually a fairly cheerful place. Security implements of all kinds fill extensive racks and there are several portraits which link from here to other important places in the wizarding world, including certain locations in the Ministry of Magic. This area of the Bank is not for sightseeing, not unless you feel like volunteering for probity probe testing.
Goblin Mint This is where new Galleons, Sickles and Knuts are minted and marked with the serial number of the goblin who made them. The room is at the end of a long corridor leading from the main hall, with old coins displayed in protected glass cases. It is hot within the room, that would be because of the furnace where the goblins make the molten metal used for coin making. The mills and presses are all manned by Goblins, though the repairs to the mills and presses are done by witches and wizards. As are the deliveries of the raw metals, most of which were recovered by curse-breakers or traded for the riches that the curse-breakers did discover. There is a viewing area, a small and secure room overlooking the Goblin Mint where processes can be observed. This is not a public area and an escort is necessary to reach this part of the bank.
Dragons Lair On a level between the 1200 and 1201st vault is the most prominent of the numerous creature lairs under Gringotts bank. This particular one is notable because it has a rather large dragon in residence. The Dragon in question is a rare hybrid, a cross between a Chinese Fireball and a Hebridean Black, is about 28 feet long from tip to tail and closely resembles a Liondragon save for its scales are coloured black, making it doubly hard to see in the gloom. Like a Chinese Firedragon, it tolerates other dragons in the tunnels, the Hebridean Black's desire for a large range having been bred out of it. It has bright purple eyes and its tail is tipped with an arrow-shaped spike. She developed a taste for Goblins, a few having found themselves in her presence on feeding day. But the clankers are enough to keep the cart goblins, and the cart's other occupants safe.... most of the time.
Curse-Breaker HQ and trading offices The Curse-Breaker HQ is on an upper level of Gringotts Bank. The Curse-Breakers are always busy whether home or abroad. They each have their own office space, though a few of the apprentice Curse-Breakers share an Office. Its a little lighter and brighter here compared to the rest of the building and as such many of the other witches and wizards who work at Gringotts have managed to snag offices up here too rather than in the dark marble corridors where their Goblin colleagues can be found.

Potions Market Company Descriptions
These Descriptions are intended to help you make your initial decision when buying shares in the Potions Market. Of course, this is just an overview, if you want more information you'll have to set an appointment with a Gringotts Broker.
ASP > Arthur Spurges Potions Corp.
Arthur Spurges Potions Corp is a Potions Manufacturing company, not known for any particularly interesting inventions or breakthroughs, but their products are certified and reliable so they manage to break into the top ten stocks quite frequently
BAR > Baruffio & Sons
While Baruffio was known to have been a slouch when it comes to charms, there are certainly plenty of people who swear by Baruffio's Brain Elixir. Allegedly this product will help a Witch or Wizard retain information better and think faster during examinations and other stressful times. Despite several tests proving inconclusive, there are enough believers in this claim that Baruffio and Sons still manage to gain new business, particularly when OWLs and NEWTs are in session.
BBB > Bott ‘s Bean Business Ltd.
Bertie Bott's Every Flavoured beans are still one of the stand out Wizarding candies world wide. Recently the company has been expanding and experimenting with non-edible and medicinal beans, though their candy remains their most popular product, regardless of the flavour.
DJP > Dunstan Jerry Productions
Another standard potion production company, this one specialises in healing potions though recently their contract with St. Mungos was cancelled, the hospital deciding to go with another company instead. DJP do very little marketing, though their products are very good. They are currently examining options in offshore markets.
EML > E. M. L. Potions Co.
E.M.L are best know for their Bundimun Pomade though they produce several other hair products and several effective cleaning products in bulk. In 2045 they had to recall an entire batch of their Pomade because it had a little too much Bundimun and not enough Pomade. It took a while to recover from this though the too-strong Pomade was remarketed as a scouring solution.
FER > Fergus Co
Fergus Fungal Budge is the leading product to combat ringworm of the foot. Fergus company also produces several other anti-fungal products, not just for human use but for magical creatures and magical plants too. All their products come in multiple sizes and come with a money back guarantee.

GSE > GothSaint Enterprises Ltd
GothSaint Enterprises produce several medicinal potions exclusively for St Mungos as well as a range of tisanes aimed specifically at pregnant women. Thanks to an exceeddingly well-funded poison research division, their antidotes are particularly effective and they have an ongoing contract with the British and French ministries as an antidote supplier.
KAC > Kaboom Choco Ltd
Kaboom Choco Ltd, established in 1843 by a young wizard who was tired of non exploding bonbons, has grown and flourished, attempting to break into the international market. As it sweeps over the world, the original bonbons remain in Britain, under secret tight security. Watch out for their new flavor coming when you least expect it. Not everyone likes their candy to explode however, and this company doesn't make much else.
LPS > London Pumpkins & Sons
London Pumpkin and Sons is a company that manufactures Pumpkin Juice, the most popular drink amongst young wizards. Founded in 1903, this business has had its ups and down, as well as some rumored goblin interference, which had helped it spring up among the other contenders. They are not the only company which produces and bottles pumpkin juice, but they are the most popular.
MBC > Madam Borboleta Candies Ltd.
Established in 1920, Madam Borboleta Candies Ltd. has since entertained thousands of customers with their fluttery sugar confections, even with their horrible line of taffy, which didn’t go over well. In 2034 they decided to stick to their original recipe. The sugared butterfly wings are their only popular product.
MMM > Magi-Me-More Inc
Magi-Me-More Inc, was founded in 1890. Their lowest point was creating a never-ending pill, which actually decreased magical ability over time rather than increasing it. After a long absence they came back in 1998 with a newer pill one which overthrew their horrid reputation and did exactly what it says on the tin... sort of. Side effects are not
MOL > Moldavite and Glints Ltd
Moldavite and Glints. Need a potion bottled? Well this is the place to go. Established in 1698, Moldavite and Glints has made it their business to give you the best bottling for your potions. In 1800, they almost went bankrupt when it became apparent that one of their employees claimed they had plagiarized his idea. However it was quickly proved otherwise. They also produce standard glass phials of a reasonable quality.
MUR > Murano Potioneering Accessories Co.
Murano Potioneering Accessories Co, established in the late 1800’s specializes in crystal phials, ones that don’t shatter when you drop them. The down fall: corks sticking to the liquid inside. QUE > Queenbee

Feel like floating, have a whizbee is their motto.
RBD > Rouster and Burleigh Research Corporation
Rouster and Burliegh Research Corporation, a company that does ingredient based research has had hard times since it’s beginning in 1879. They’ve picked up their shoes however and have since become one of the top ten research companies Wizarding world-wide. St Mungos use them exclusively to test how medical potions interact with each other.

Aside from their Skele-Gro patent, Rubens Winikus and Company Inc also produce several basic potions.
SCP > Scower cleaning products ltd
While it’s not clearly known when Scower Cleaning products ltd was established everyone agrees that Mrs. Scower’s All-purpose magical mess remover is the best cleaning solution out there. Second best, using your wand. All the products in the line are guaranteed.
SCR > Screaming Snakes Inc
Screaming Snakes is a newer product, specializing in hair potions. It’s not nearly as popular as it should be however, the name scaring off people before they buy it. SEI > Sleakeazy Inc

Their product is guaranteed.
SEP > Sepphoris Glass Inc.
Sepphoris Glass Inc, a challenger to Moldavite and Glints was established in the early years of the 1800’s. While it’s unclear how they make their products, over the years they’ve had several shady involvements. Their product is of an acceptable quality.
SWL > Stainwright Ltd
Producers of Everklena, which ensures you will need to clean forever, its amazing this company, originally founded by Erica Stainwright, has managed to stay in business. WBA >Wakefield Broom Accessories
Have a broom? fly around more than taking the Floo-network? Well the you’ll need Wakefield’s Broom wax. Established in the late 1700’s, Wakefield had prided himself on making the best wax for your broom, keeping the recipe for his wax secret to only those closest to him. He almost lost it during the great fire of 1810, however it became more popular after it proved to be somewhat fire resistant, saving the brooms of several well known Quidditch teams who were visiting London for a conference at the time. The other Wakefield products are slightly less effective but no less popular.
WEE > Weasley’s Explosive Enterprises

Gringotts Currency Exchange
Want to know how many galleons you'll get in exchange for your muggle money? This is the place to check. We use the Harry Potter Lexicon Wizarding World Currency Converter to figure out the exchange value. The current rates will be available in the Gringotts Financial Times and do not reflect real world exchange rates.
[X] = no change [X] = Up [X] = Down
To find out how much money you will get, you need to:
1) select the currency type
2) Take the most recent posted rate in this thread for the currency you are using and type it in the 'custom rate' box.
3) type in the amount you want to exchange in the 'muggle money' box.
4) The number of galleons, sickles and knuts you will get at that exchange rate will appear.
The following currencies are exchangeable here at Gringotts Wizarding Bank:
UK Pound -1% of exchanged value + 15 Galleon processing fee
US Dollar -1.4% of exchanged value + 15 Galleon processing fee
Euro - 1% of exchanged value + 15 Galleon processing fee
Romanian Lei -1.5% of exchanged value + 15 Galleon processing fee

All transactions are done to and from Galleons, if you wish to be clever about exchange values in order to make money we highly suggest you take your muggle money to a muggle bank.
Please note, foreign Wizarding currency IS available at Gringotts but as we are waiting for more canon information regarding Dragots (and any other denominations for the United States) values can't be calculated.
Any other currencies may be requested at an additional cost.

How to apply for/access a vault
1) To create your own vault, please fill out the Vault Application Questionnaire. Fill out the form in it's entirety, please! The more we know, the better your vault will fit your needs. Keep in mind that your character gets what you pay for, too: larger, deeper, and higher-security vaults cost more money than the smaller, closer to the surface vaults. You are able to describe how you want your vault to appear if you wish, if not we will provide a generic description for your vault. You should also indicate whether your character is setting up a brand new vault, or if it is an old family vault (including the sort usually owned by purebloods) in which case you should provide a date when the vault was set up.
There is an initial maximum of four vaults per member, so please bear that in mind when you are deciding which of your characters should have a vault. If you wish for any further vaults after your four, you may apply if you are active in all three areas of the WWRPG.
2) Role play your character at Gringotts. To establish a vault or access one you must post in the main hall and service counters thread where a goblin will assist you. At this point your questionnaire should already be filled out if you do not have a previously established vault. This is because your vault questionnaire will become the vault thread in which your roleplay will be conducted.
3) Follow your goblin escort to the appropriate vault. A vault thread especially for you will appear in the forum. This is where all your vault RPing will be completed, and when you are done the thread will be moved back to our vault storage. Every time you make a deposit or withdrawl, that information will be added to the same thread. We are able to check your vault contents at any time if you PM us.
Your character must stay with your goblin guide. Your post will be deleted if you are unaccompanied, or the dragon will eat your character. Neither are good. If you post in a vault thread that isn't yours (without express prior permission), you risk character death, maiming, or other permanent IC consequences. This is because it should not be POSSIBLE for your character to reach any vault unaccompanied, let alone one that is not assigned to them.
4) If you wish to make a deposit or a withdrawal to your vault or any other, take this questionnaire. Fill it out completely. Deposits do not generally require roleplay (unless it includes a change to your vault to a higher capacity, more secure vault), but withdrawals ALWAYS require roleplay.
Note that suspicious characters are subject to search and questioning by the Gringotts staff and security.

IC Only Employees and Branch Locations: OOC: Gringotts Wizarding Bank is the largest wizarding bank in the world; obviously, it will have more than one employee! While only LilFox06 is permitted to roleplay figures of authority and interact with customers within the bank, there are assumed to be many other characters working alongside them. If you have a character that is employed at Gringotts, please private message LilFox06, and we will add your character to this post. This will be done primarily for site-wide knowledge; you must ask permission, or be invited, before beginning an IC employee roleplay in the bank threads, and may NOT roleplay goblins or provide assistance to Gringotts customers.
There are also smaller, less secure branches of Gringotts scattered all across the globe, although the United Kingdom's branch is the bank's headquarters— wizards don't want to travel to London every time they need money. You're permitted to create characters who work in these branches as well (they are listed in the spoiler tag below. No further locations will be added at this stage).
Again, please PM LilFox06 with the following information or any comments/questions/concerns. Please keep in mind that your character cannot have held a position that has been held at the same time in SS canon by another character. We reserve the right to claim a position in the London branch for any DA employee at any time. If this occurs we will inform you via PM and discuss possible 'transfers'. Thanks for joining the Gringotts fun!
Character's Name: Gringotts Branch: Position at Gringotts: Time of Employment (this can be a current date or a previous date, indicating that they have been working there for a while, but a previous date must not overlap with positions that have been held in character. The date should indicate the amount of time the character has been in that particular role, so a promotion should not count the original date of employment in a junior role!):
Please also provide a picture to which we may link that abides by all site rules and does not use a hotlink.

He was allowed to attend Hogwarts during the school year, if, and only if, he also pursued a "realistic" education. During the summers Colin completed his muggle education, and upon graduation from Hogwarts, he enrolled in university. He studied finance and landed a job shortly after graduation in Gringotts. Now that he was "properly" educated, as his father put it, he was determined to make his way in the world that he missed -- the magical world.
Gringotts Goblins
While there are hundreds of Goblins working at Gringotts, the management Goblins are listed below. You can rest assured that they know their jobs inside out and will help you out with any business you might have at Gringotts Wizarding Bank.
Name:Tearlung Position: Gringotts Head Goblin Age: 66 Background: Tearlung has worked as the Head Goblin at Gringotts since January 2090 and claims to have 40 years of Goblin banking experience in the private sector. It seems he transferred from one of the European branches but not much else is known about him by British Wizardkind. He does, however, seem very effective at his job, even if he is rather grumpy and prone to mistrusting "wand-bearers".
Name:Sturnik Position: Head of Security at Gringotts Age: 50 Background: Sturnik is a rambunctious Goblin who has always held the high ambition of being the first goblin in the Wizengamot. He left his homeland of New Zealand at the age of 13, coming to Britain and finding a place in Diagon Alley. His emotions get the better of him at times and he lashes out. He has held the Head of Security position at Gringotts for the past two decades. Sturnik often accompanies the more suspicious Gringotts patrons to their vaults, and he's good to have around when things get a little dangerous. He's also somewhat of a flirt, but you didn't hear that from us.
Name:Sagni Position: Vault Manager Age: 41 Background: Sagni keeps the vault records up to date and is often on hand to escort people down to the depths to make their deposits and withdrawals. She rarely converses with wizardkind except on official business. She has always wanted her own wand and holds some resentment for the accident of her birth that prevents her from obtaining one. However she is very skilled with Goblin magics and comes from a long line of Goblin master crafters.
