Alicia walked into the waiting area, her copy of the Daily Prophet in hand, her heart beating like a hummingbirds wing. Oh she was soo nervous. She wanted to know what the protocal was for getting a job here - as she knew Amelie wouldn't mind being the mail room clerk. She smiled, fiddling with the binder in her hand - inside was a bit of her own writing experiences.

Promptly, for that was his way when he could be bothered, Hoshino found the waiting area. Inside it was a blond, much like Morgan had informed him. Ian mentally tallied a point in the receptionist's favor. He wasn't so sure how long he would keep it though.

Alicia smiled up at the person who had just entered the waiting room, "Oh, pleasure to meet you Mr. Hoshino," she smiled, "I'm Alicia Devereaux, I was just wondering what your stance on free-lance writing for the papers? I personally work in the ministry currently, but my sister Amelie was looking into working here - she just, is currently in France closing up shop." She nodded, smiling all the while.
She quickly, walked over to Ian, offering him a hand, as a sort of greeting she was trying to be as polite as possible and not well her normal clumsy self.

A frown set in place, the man took Devereaux's hand. Her name sounded vaguely familiar. Although, he supposed, all French names made him particularly wary especially if they belonged to females. His mother had never been beyond sending 'subordinates' to entice him into being more 'social'; her words not his.

Ali smiled, shaking his hand, "Yes I do have a resumé" she smiled, reaching into her bag. She pulled out a piece of paper, showcasing her work more as a ministry worker than anything esle. "It more has all my past work experience for the Ministry of Magic - I'm on the british seats divisoin and might I just say that is one dramatic area the International Cooperation division specifically." She smiled. "When I went to Beauxbaton I did write a small gossip-collumn thing it wasn't a big thing but its much like the Aparecium that Hogwarts school has in general." She smiled, "It was called the Evening Star" she chuckled, "My sister Aurelie came up with the name before she went to Hogwarts." She smiled.
"I wouldn't mind just inturning as well, if thats what you were looking for." She smiled. She was smiling an awful lot today - it might even have been a sickening amout of smiles from such a small girl.

There was only so much office work Lyric could take. After organizing, and proof-reading all morning her brain felt like mush, but she still needed Ian's input on one piece she was working on. She had gone around the office looking for him until, Plymouth finally informed her of his location.
Lyric entered the waiting room, head held high like always. Her dark eyes immediately fell upon the sheet that a visitor was giving to Hoshino. "That seems interesting." She announced swiping the paper quickly from the woman's hand. Her eyes skimmed the resumé, and just as quickly as she had taken it she passed it over to Ian. "Or not."

Trust his employees to have the impeccable timing; whether that was a good or a bad thing, Ian Hoshino wasn't sure. He glanced at Lyric Brantt briefly before directing his dark gaze at the small print on the resume she had returned to him. "So, Lifestyle may be something you're comfortable with?" he inquired, reaching into his robes with one hand. Soon he extricated a black pair of reading glasses.
"Excuse my surly employee. Lyric Brantt. She is one of our Sports journalists." He swept his onccupied hand towards Devereaux. "Miss Alicia Devereaux. It seems she may be soon interning with us. Shall we move this little gathering to my office?" | |

"Oh thank you, and yes that would be most appreciated." She smiled. She couldn't help but chuckle slightly at how Ian Hoshino had reacted to Lyric's response.
She after all loved writing, and wasn't bad two points that she thought were important when it came to writing and journalism an ability, and the strive to do well in it. She would of course love to keep her position at the ministry - but she'd always loved writing more and writing international memos wasn't cutting it.

Surly? Did you want a kick Ian Hoshino? She had done nothing wrong but tell the truth. Hiring unqualified workers who just came off the street would do nothing for them. Lyric cleared her throat, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. "Yes, sorry about...interrupting your discussion."
"Nice to meet you Miss Devereaux. French is it? I'm sure we could use you around the office." Lyric hoped her lack of enthusiast wouldn't be too obvious. "Interns are hard to find and we do need a good coffee runner." She nodded at Ian's suggestion wondering how this would play out. Ian was obviously not in the right frame of mind, but this was obviously more entertaining that proof reading.

He pushed up on his glasses as the slid down the bridge of his nose. There was a deep urge to breathe out a sigh but he held it within. Instead, he swept Lyric with another sideways glance before clearing her throat.
"That's what Morgan is for," said Ian. "Besides, you would benefit from some exercise," finished Hoshino only ever so briefly directing his brown eyes at Lyric's legs before turning away. He smiled as best as he could at Devereaux, which came out more like a painful grimace. "If you'll follow me....you too, Brantt," he added quickly as an after thought.
Clearly, the woman was bored and if left alone to her leisure she would undoubtedly break something in the Lounge Area or the lavatory that would result in several Galleons worth of repair. He couldn't take those chances.
