On either side of the shop, book shelves tower up to the ceiling and hold books of every kind. Fiction and non-fiction, autobiographies, biographies, even muggle manuals. Perhaps your interests lie in Astronomy, maybe magizoology, perhaps even the history of Mr. Zonko.

Most of your literature needs will be somewhere on these shelves, apart from the particularly delicate books or books concerning dark arts and other specialist subjects. These can be inquired about at the Third Hand Books Counter. If a book appears to be missing or out of stock, consult the shopkeeper.

Please do NOT climb the shelves and remember that some customers like silence when browsing, so keep the noise to a minimum. Likewise, please do NOT damage or deface any books.

Remember these books are old, used and third hand. It is unlikely that you will find a pristine copy. They are cheap after all.

Happy browsing, and don’t forget the pay at the counter.

Justin giggled slightly. "Don't worry about it. I think I'm the only one that noticed" he replied with a smile. "Indeed I am going to Hogwarts this year" he replied. "Are you?" he redirected the question.

Justin too looked round. No one else was looking. "I'm fifth year. This is my second year there" he replied. But those two years were split into two different segments.

'Oh, right. So you joined last year? What's it like?' Lizzie asked excitedly. She wanted to know what school was like! 'See, I was homeschooled, until my dad decided he couldn't do it anymore,' she explained quietly. She hoped people woudn't think it was weird that she was homeshooled...

Draven saw Taylor looking around the room.

Draven looked at Taylor confused. Maybe because of his age and maturity she couldnt believe he was going into his first year at Hogwarts. Most of the teachings and studies were done by his parents back home so on an intellectual level he was coming Hogwarts well prepared.

"Im a first year".

Draven looked around to see if a shop keep was around as he wanted to ask about a certain book.

"Is there somewhere to sit down? Maybe we can sit and chat for a while..."

Draven took a moment and then started again.

"I have a mother and father, no siblings. But in our village we have a lot of relatives. As i said before my father is a forger and creates enchanted weapons and garments for wizards worldwide. For many years our family bloodline stayed reclusive and relatively quiet. For a long time we never felt that we needed to branch out and expand our knowledge or mingle with other bloodlines. Obviously, my father and mother felt that needed to change and im the lucky one to have this opportunity coming to Hogwarts. So far, my experience is a great one and i think it will only get better. Meeting and talking with you is a great start".

Walking up and down the shelfs some books in her hands from her browsing. The books were kind of old and was just right for her. She stopped at one of the shelfs and put the books in her hand down so to pick up a really heavy book.

He smiled and got up and headed to the counter.

Draven wandered back to the couch having found what he was looking for. He had wondered if kissing her might of been too much too soon. She did afterall, just gotten out of a relationship in which judging by her reaction at the time was very upsetting. The last thing he wanted to do was make her feel uncomfortable.

"Hey, back. I want to apologize for kissing you. I just couldnt help myself but if i stepped over the line im sorry. I dont want to overstep my bounds with you. I know today has been a pretty emotional time for you regarding Alex so if im being to pushy just punch me in the gut and tell me to back off".

He smiled at her gently and stroked her hair to reassure her he meant no bad intentions.

Basically, it discusses how they gathered the minerals from mines deep in the Norwegian mountains and applied their craft into designing swords, staffs, axes, and so on. Obviously, over time wizards have become accustomed to using wands as their primary weapon. But back then when things were more chaotic and violent it wasnt uncommon for have weapons with magical power. Same with cloaks, amulets, etc that you see today".

Taylor looked at him intently and he could not help smile at her as she gazed at him.

"Wow, that's pretty interesting- it's good that your family are broadening your horizons slightly, so that you get the chance to try out other things too- it's only fair on you really." she said honestly to him. It was- she would be annoyed if her parents didn't give her the chance to try out new things and just made her do one specific thing, even if she didn't like it.

She flicked through the book some more, reading some of the facts and then shutting it again.

"Oh, i'm not really sure really... i wanted to be an Auror... but i'm really not sure, i'll probably just end up in a dead end office job at the Ministry- how fun!" she admitted to him, laughing slightly.
