Waving his wand, Daniel had the books wrapped the books up in brown paper and string, before sweeping the money into the till. "Not as busy as the other book shop probably gets. Most people like pristine books, I guess. I see the crowds out of the window and it makes me glad I don't own, for instance, the sweet shop." Poor Anita... |
Jaina stacks her pile of books from the Third Hand Books for Education section and begins to walk towards the counter, only to trip on the carpet. "Dang it! Don't turn, don't turn, don't turn," she begins to recite to keep her hair from going as pink as her cheeks again. Her mum and dad had told her that it was not normal for muggles to have hair that changed color, so it was probably true in the wizarding world, too. She picked her first year books up once again, and placed them on the counter hoping that no one saw or heard her. "So, how much for the books?? Oh, and sorry about dropping all the books back there. I got them all picked up for you. I just hope they're in the right order." |
Herod walked in to the bookshop. Minstry business always seemed to perseverate in Diagon Alley for some reason. "Hello?" he asked the empty store, although he had no doubt that a shopkeeper would pop out of no where any second. |

Serena placed the first year books on the counter, along with the book she had also decided to buy (Muggle Astronomers and the Myths they believe) "How much will these be please?" She asked, hoping it wouldn't be more than 2 Galleons, she had already been to the bank once today, and that was one time too many, Goblins creeped her out... |

But then... 'twas time for business. Daniel smiled at the young girl in front of him and looked through the books she had. He knew the booklists by heart now, so even if they weren't picked up as a set he knew how to price eeeet. "That'll beeeee... 2 galleons for the school set and 4 sickles for the other one you have there," he informed the girl. "Do you want them wrapped up and... stuff." He was tired D: |

Izzie walked up to the counter with a stack of books taller then she was. Most of them were books she needed for her first day of school, (she decided to get them here because they had "personality" instead of the new books which were boring) but there was one book on charms "Accio to Waddiwasi and beyond", one book on transfiguration "How to turn your sister into any household item", and two written completely in runes. She was so scared of tripping over her feet, but she was so excited about the possibility of new books to read that she walked right over to the counter with a huge smile and big blush on her face. "Umm...hi.." she said, putting her books down on the counter. "I want to get these. I love your store. I never knew it was here. Oh I wish I had known sooner..." |
Heaving the book 'Quintessence: A Quest' onto the counter, Serena asked "Excuse me, but how much would this be?" |
The Katharos family had money. Enough to buy expensive things but that didn't stop Daichi's father for telling him he had to buy third hand books in stead of new once. Save the money eh? So, instead of going to florish and blotts, Daichi opened up the door of the book shop with his duck plushy yet again in his arms. He could NEVER leave with out it. Daichi grabbed the books he needed for his first year while thinking about Hogwarts. The slytherin prefect he had met earlier had told him about the difficult test before he was sorted in to a house. It made him nervous everytime he thought about it. A three hour test! gaaah! So he needed to study! and ...learn spells quickly.. but..how!? Daichi honestly believed that his big brother and Evan we're telling the truth and thus he was seriously freaking out. A three hour test! O_o Daichi waited until it was his turn and he placed the first year books with difficulty on the counter. "Uh...Hi! , i would like to buy these!" Duh. |

How long had it been? 2 or 3 years? "Would you like these wrapped up and bagged?" Quote:

Nevertheless... "Hey there... that'll be 2 galleons for the lot," he smiled, leaning forward on the counter before pulling his wand out of his back pocket, waving it and summoning a mug and jug of iced tea with lemon, letting it sort itself out behind him whilst he dealt with the customer. |
Hateya didn't really look around when she entered the book store. She just headed for the desk and flopped her hands on the counter. If she were taller, she would have flopped her whole arms and maybe leaned on it. One day. "Hi. I'd like a set of first-year books, please." Was there a section for that? She glanced around and thought she might have seen something, but decided that she'd already asked and well... might as well wait for a response. |

Heh. "Sure... our education is just down the way," he informed the girl, pointing down the shelves. The place was pretty big and there were bookcases all through the middle... just like an old library. "I can summon a set here for you if you like? Save you from going off in search for one." Quote:

She wondered if his wand was his first one, and had another small bout of paranoia that she'd get her first one broken. Somehow. |

Benjamin walked up to the counter amd asked very micely if he could go to the back room to buy some books that he normally wouldn't find in the main area. |

With a small nod, Daniel pulled his wand from his back pocket and waved it as if beckoning someone at the back of the shop to come to the front before he put it away again. "Plus, I guess if you don't have a wand yet, you won't be able to summon anyway," he added as an afterthought as the books, an entire set of first year tomes, steadily flew over in a stack and landed neatly on the counter. "Anything else you might want to get?" Quote:
The young man chuckled slightly at the questions. "I love books, but I don't have a favourite. My little brother loves reading. He just left Hogwarts... they have a huge library there, so I'm told." And with that, he checked everything was bagged up/wrapped as asked before handing them to the girl. "Enjoy." Quote:
"What kind of books are you looking for, lad?" he asked cautiously. |
Quote:
"I think that's it, really. I don't know enough about the classes I'll be in to want anything more specific. Maybe I'll see you at Christmas though." |

Rachel came in and went to the counter, she asked for her first year books, "How much for them?" she payed the shopkeeper 10 galleons took the books and left. |
Quote:
One fish through the coin purse later, she handed over the two galleons, "That's probably a good idea. They're beat-up enough without me getting ice cream on them." Which... yeah, totally going for ice cream after this. |

"Hey... hey kid, wait," Daniel called to the girl who was leaving. "Those only cost 2 galleons." Couldn't let the kid get away without her money. 8 galleons could be a lot. Quote:
Unless they were cookbooks. With another wave of his wand, the books were wrapped and in the back and Daniel took the money, placing it in his till. "I hope you have a fun first year," he told the girl, handing the bag over to the young girl. |

Alice followed behind her father and he placed the books they were purchasing onto the counter and gave the shopkeeper a tip of his top hat then straightened the tail coat on his suit and walked back to be with Alice's mother, who had been holding his walking stick. Alice then looked up over the counter, even for average 11 year old height it was a bit high and she smield at the shopkeeper, smoothing out her dress which had gotten dusty just a moment ago from all the books. |
