They just stared at it. It was a wall. It looked no different from any of the other wall in the station.

"Are you sure this is it?" James Denaker asked. He squinted suspiciously, as if the wall was out to trick them.

"Yes James," Amanda Denaker only called her husband James when she was annoyed at him, "This is where Jonas told us to go."

"I don't know about this..." It was a wall.

"I don't see Rachel." The nearly 12 year old stood next to them, practically glued to the cart, looking around frantically. Next to her, standing far enough away to give the impression of distance and looking every bit the sour preteen, was an exact copy of the girl. Behind them, a 15 year old spitting image of their father, save for the dark hair he got from Amanda, was trying to hide his fascination of everything under a look of rehearsed boredom.

"She's probably already on the platform waiting for you."

"We said we'd wait for each other before crossing," the girl protested.

"Hadley, enough. You'll meet up with her on the other side."

"Fine." The girl stepped behind her cart.

"I still don't know about this, Mandy. Maybe I should try it-- Haddie!" Too late. The girl and her cart flew into the wall and vanished. Jaws dropped. "That girl..." James growled, and rushed after her through the wall. A second later the rest of the family followed.

Not to mention the flipping awesome candy that I should list, but ain't nobody got time for that." Hassan Botros was speaking in his narrator voice, hands on his little cousin's shoulders who was positioned in front of him. The long somber and completely necessary spell he was giving her earned them both a lot of looks from the muggles who were heading to their - in his opinion - very boring locations.

Nothing was like Hogwarts. His alma mater. It hadn't actually been too long since he'd been to the school, but it felt that way when he was no longer in attendance. One of his little cousins was already going here, and now another one. A moment for the very proud eldest Botros grandchild.

"Some people are scared their first time, so it's okay if you are. Take your time cuz. It's not rush. But if you fail I will laugh." She already knew this, right?

Hassan had a great narrator voice obviously. Rula was grinning from ear to ear as he led her toward the wall. By now, she was pretty much over the thought that she'd miss going to Durmstrang and instead was just excited to be going to the school that so many people in her family had gone to. Plus Eureka and Bast were going to be there too!

"Everybody has time for candy!" she replied. "And I'm not scared! I've heard and read about this loads." Well, kinda. She'd sorta skimmed the books she'd found to prepare her for Hogwarts, but still. She wasn't afraid of it either way. Other people in her family had done it, and she was THIRTEEN, which was basically almost of age in her mind, so there wasn't anything to be nervous about.

And of course she knew he'd laugh at her. She'd do the same if it was the other way around, after all.

"Always remember that." He loved that her and Reka were going to the same school now, but he deeply hoped that she wouldn't start getting all girly and doe-eyed over relationships and boys like the blonde was. That was a nightmare. Loving candy was much better.

As tempted as he was to scoop her up and send them both flying through the barrier, what kind of man would he be if he took away the experience of running through the barrier for the first time? The worst. He wouldn't even be a MAN. "Alright, then. Run on through!" He would watch before doing so himself.

Mason's stomach felt like it was wheeling as fast as the trolley on which her trunk and her owl were stacked. She had been away from her parents before (obviously, since they left her to do things on her own so often), but she was still nervous about leaving them. Even if they did argue 24/7, she still loved them.

Her father, whom had been pushing the heavy cart, suddenly stopped. They were now only a few feet away from the brick wall between platforms 9 and 10.
A few feet away from their little family being separated.

Seb released the trolley and turned towards his daughter, his only child and the only thing that he still loved in the world. He knelt to her height and wrapped his arms tightly around the little girl. When had she grown up so much?

He disentangled himself from his child and stood looking into her eyes, "Now Steve," he told her with a smile, "I want you to write to us as much as you possibly can. As soon as you get sorted or even if you walked past a funny painting, write to us. And just remember that no matter what happens, I love you." He said the last bit in a voice thick with emotion and he sadly kissed her head before standing back up.

Anya watched with tears in her steely eyes as her daughter greeted her father. Did Macey know how much her they love her? You should have spent more time with your daughter, you fool. Instead of always casting her aside.

Anya wrapped her arms around her child the moment she had a change. She kissed her head and muttered, "Ya lyublyu tebya, Mishenka." She let out a soft sob and squeezed her daughter even tighter.

Mason was dumbfounded at her parents' emotional states. She had never expected them to be so . . . sad. But when her mother had whispered that she loved her, Mason felt her own eyes begin to water. They really did love her, even if they didn't show it as much as they should have.

With a heavy heart, Mason took one of each's hands and gave them a reassuring squeeze, "I'll be back for Christmas. But . . . I love you blokes as well."

And with that she took her trolley, turned towards the barrier and ran head first through it, disappearing from sight.

She nodded. Because of course she would remember that! Candy was great for a snack while she read her novels or did homework.

But now it was time to run through! Time to get on Platform 9 3/4.

"Okay! See you on the other side!" Rula grinned then, glancing down at her luggage cart to make sure her trunk and her cat Isaac in his cat carrier were safely on there, she took off running toward the wall, sliding right on through.

All through the station, Lucy trailed behind her parents, walking at a slower pace but always keeping them in sight. She couldn't believe they were doing this to her. They were actually trying to ship her off to an unknown school in an unknown location with people they've never met, all alone.

They were looking for Platform 9 3/4. It sounded suspicious. But Lucy's parents were sure that there was some trick to getting onto it, just like how they got to shops. She had to admit that was amazing and that it worked and was real...but this was an ordinary train station. People weren't rushing about in funny looking clothes. They were in suits with briefcases or sweats with luggage. There were people in uniform at ticket counters and escorting those who were from out of town. Besides all that, they'd been here before. They'd taken a train in and out of this very station long before some weirdo had come to their house talking about how she was a witch and there was no Platform 9 3/4 there.

Lucy slumped against the wall as she watched her parents pace up and down between Platforms 9 and 10, and even as they expanded their search to Platforms 8 and 11, whispering to each other and referring to the ticket they hadn't let her hold herself. She, however, wasn't moving. She was too shy to ask someone in uniform and too afraid that it all wasn't even real. Even if she doubted it herself.

He stroked his beard briefly deep in thought. He figured it wouldn't be this soon. That Torrance was probably thinking about how it could have been his Father or Mother seeing him off...

I'm going to Hogwarts!

That instead he was pushed around to between his family crossing borders to live with his Uncles or his Grandfather for a few months at a time.

I'm Going to Hogwarts!

Saul then though about his own kids. That in a few more Years. He'd be seeing Kendi off, then Joshua, and Isaiah as well.

I'm Going to Hogwarts!

What the hell was Uncle Saul just standing there for? Were they not going to go through to the Platform!? He looked up at his Uncle's Bearded face and gave him an annoyed look as the guy got lost in thought.

Torrance was usually the one to have that happen to him! Gosh, did this run in the Family?

THEY WERE HERE!!!

Walking with his family Benton looked around with all the excitement! He couldn't wait to get to Hogwarts and start learning. As he walked with Kaleb and his mother. "So where is it?" He looked around trying to keep his voice lower knowing the muggles could hear. He had to walk through a wall, now that was something he wasn't sure about. The rest just excitement, but a wall? Well he would try.

His eyes spotting his uncle and cousin Benton's hand started waving. "UNCLE SAUL, TORY!!" Tory was going to be in the same house as him, he at least hoped. That would be so cool. His friend Henry and Tory all in the same house together.

His brown eyes fell on another figure and he froze. Having a cousin in the Quidditch world he knew plenty of the faces. Studies all the cool Quidditch trading cards. "LOOK" He pointed towards the man. Looking at his brother and cousin, "That is Hassan Botros, Beater of the Magpies." Would he sign and autograph? This was so exciting! Benton didn't care what team it was or what player, he just liked meeting them all. He already had autographs from a few, but he always wanted more.

After leaving both her father and cousin behind Hady made her way towards platform. Hagan padded along at her side every so often bumping his head into her leg so she'd reach down and scratch between his ears causing the fluff ball to purr.

Straight up ahead was a small girl and two adults who appeared to have no clue where they were going. Much less where they should be and how to get there. Chances were these people were muggles which meant the girl clearly needed a bit of guidance. This was something she could help with without any trouble at all. Hady grinned slightly to herself coming to a stop near the young girl (Lucy), her trolley being set aside a moment. "Need help?," she asked quietly being cautious of anyone overhearing them. "You look a bit lost." Lost. Confused. She could see it a mile away.

That is until there was a voice so nearby, the question was clearly directed at her. "Hmmm?" Lucy asked back, popping her lips and tearing her eyes off her parents to look at the older girl.

She rolled her eyes. "I'm fine. They're," she nodded her head at her parents, "trying to find Platform 9 3/4." The last words held a strong sarcastic tone. She rolled her eyes again to show the older girl that she knew her parents were ridiculous and that she shouldn't be judged based on their lunacy.

The moment the younger girl looked at Hady she could sense the attitude. Rolling her eyes wasn't necessary but whatever it didn't even matter much. She was simply trying to be nice, help a younger person out a little bit. If she didn't need the help or want it that was fine by Hady.

"Well it's right there. Between platforms nine and ten," the brunette replied simply with a small wave of her hand at the correct wall. "Just push your trolley at a steady pace straight at the wall, it'll let you through into platform 9 3/4." That's all there was to it. Nothing more, nothing less. Tucking a lock of hair behind her ear she knelt down to scoop Hagan up into her arms cradling him there. It was best to carry the cat on through so nothing would happen to him.

Time for another year at Hogwarts.

Man the summer time really flew by. I mean despite the fact his mother kept him busy this summer with going to summer camps like his cousins did and also getting information that left him bummed out a little bit. It wasn't gonna stop him from completing his education though. Getting his trunk together and getting his last minute supplies, his mother, sister and cousins came with him to set him off. They didn't have to but it was nice. His father couldn't make it since he was at the base camp commanding his troops. He understood and he would see his old man at christmas.

He sighed a breath of excitement actually. He beamed with happiness approaching the wall betweens platforms 9 and 10. His mother gripped his shoulder and beamed down at him, "I am so proud of you son. You are truly changing into a wonderful man. I knew you would like this school than Durmstrang." She hugged him tight which was kind of embarassing but he let it go since it was his mother.

He turned to his cousins, Braedon and Kace. They came to say goodbye to him before Kace left for university and Braedon left to go back to Australia. They nodded and Kace bro hugged him. "You will do great mate." he assured him. "Treasure it while it lasts. It goes by quick." Braedon agreed with Kace and gave his own words of advice. "Just think of all the new girls you will meet." Kace glared at him and gave him the "dont push it" look. Braedon succumbed and shrugged innocently.

"Alright it is almost time!" his mother yelled and hugged him one last time. He faced the wall on his own. Ready to start his fourth year as a Slytherin. He grinned and began running towards the wall, awaiting what his future had in store for him this term.

carpediem 12-26-2015 08:15 AM

Ryland wouldn't have admitted this to anyone, but she was kind of scared. Not only did she manage to lose her twin sister somewhere around here, but this was a totally new enviornment, complete with people she didn't know at all! This was like starting primary school again, except everyone was older and they could probably kill you with one zap of their wand. The books in her pink suitcase felt like they weighed about three gazillion pounds, and the brunette took a quick rest before continuing along.

Where was her sister? They were like inseperable, and it was kind of making the eleven year old uncomfortable to not be near the other half of their twinship. Okay, so Jay might have rolled her eyes at the term "other half" or "twinship". She didn't understand the Ryland brain however, and in the Ryland brain, these were legitimate words. Legitimate words that should be used as often as possible.

A small groan escaped her lips as she looked around again, her blue eyes searching the crowd. Even though she had managed to be a few inches taller than her classmates (thank you genetics) everyone around her was way older and knew what to do way more. There were people..... running? Was Jay behind all of the running people?

.......................................

Oh. My. Word. Were these people just running at the wall? And not getting hurt? Magic was so cool! And so scary. Like what if it didn't work for her. That was a brick wall and if she was at Hogwarts, her parents were not going to be able to fix the broken nose she would get from missing! What was the trick behind this? Did you have to say something? Believe, Pixie Dust? Clap your hands to bring Tinkerbell back to life? Somehow, the first year felt like reading the old fairy tales was not going to help her.

A thought burned in her head, and she scoffed as the brunette realized what had happened. Jay, being completely oblivious to how IMPORTANT this was, finished before Ryland was out of the shower. Mom must've driven her to the platform so she wouldn't be late, and since her lovely twin sister actually had a sense of fashion, she was driven by dad, Jay must've gone in without her! She was actually a little offended by this piece of information, even though she knew she was going to be spending all of their time at Hogwarts together. If there was one person she wanted to run through a brick wall with, it was definitely her twin sister! That's what twins did!

Now wanting to catch up with the other Crowlin as fast as possible, Ryland picked up her bags and walked towards the wall, stopping where she saw others stopped. She might not understand completely what was happening, but she could pretend and hope it sorted itself out. That's what she did when Becky and Chrissy fought through like all of third grade. They eventually made up and she got to keep both friends. It was like her life's plan, just step back and let it sort itself. However, it was now her turn. The action was up to her. Ryland was in charge of what was happening. Her heart was beating pretty fast.

1....2.....3

Gripping the handle on her suitcase tighter, she closed her eyes and ran for the wall, terrified she was going to hit it and fall. Half of London was probably at this train station, and she didn't want to crash and burn with her little pink suitcase in front of everyone. Slowly opening her eyes and slowing down, she realized she made it to the other side after all. Good. Now she just had to find Jay and stop her heart from exploding.

Jeslyn stood in front of the wall between platforms 9 and 10, staring at it in silent .What again now?

"Run."

She heard a voice from behind her. Her moms.

She was supposed to . . . run into it?to the wall ?Was her mom kidding about it?
Jeslyn can`t imagine how her petite body had crash with the strong looks wall.

"Don`t worry,Jessie, " as if the women behind can read her tought " You just run into it, darling and we will see another part of the wall. I promise we will be fine. I am with you."

Jeslyn grabbed her trolley and her moms hand before once again looked around with nervouseness.

"Hey, Our brave Jessie is gone."

Ignored the joke of her mother, Jeslyn closed her eyes. Now or never, she thought.
Don`t want wasting another time, she ran for the wall. She realizes her mom following close behind her.

Their bodies almost got hit by the wall anytime now!

But nothing happened until they slowing down and stop the run.Eleven -years -old girl could hear the voice of crowded and the sound of a loud pounding heart.

"Open your eyes, darling and welcome to the platform 9 3/4"

Either this kid was a smart aleck or simply a muggle whom though Hady was messing with her. In her mind she figured it was a little bit of both given the current situation. So rather then comment she choose to keep quiet. When it was time to go through onto the platform either the girl and her parents followed or they didn't.

At the question of having a wand Hady smirked just slightly. "I do," she replied evenly dropping her voice a few notches so as to not be heard by anyone that may be passing by. "You don't need it right this second though. Want me to go through to the platform first and you can follow?" Yeah, yeah once again she was being nice just like always.

Oh. Okay so...so...maybe this girl wasn't pulling her leg or anything. She didn't even flinch when Lucy mentioned the wand. Like it was totally normal, yet it felt weird even on her own tongue. Besides all that, the older girl was willing to 'go through' before her. Would someone really subject themselves to the humility of walking into a wall knowing another person was watching if they weren't positive it....worked?

Lucy glanced back at her parents before nodding at the girl. "Yeah." And it was a good thing they didn't need that wand because hers was in her trunk...somewhere....

She stepped aside, her eyes fixed on the older girl so she could carefully watch how this was going to happen.

She stepped aside, her eyes fixed on the older girl so she could carefully watch how this was going to happen.

Hady shifted her weight from one foot to the other her hazel eyes moving from the girl before her to the girls parents and then back again. It sort of reminded her of her first year on the platform with her own parents there to see her off. Only she knew what to expect being a full blood and well now her father would drop her off and leave. Nothing to special...well this year was cool since her younger cousin had come to see her off as well.

Pulling herself from her thoughts Hady nodded towards the girl. Okay, so she was going to follow her through onto the platform. "Just one small tip of advice first, don't slow down as you reach the wall." You were more likely to worry yourself that way.

Hady walked the few steps back over to her trolley that held her trunk and other items. Lifting Hagan up into her arms she held the cat the best she could while pushing/steering her trolley. "I'll see you on the other side." Mhmm she'd wait there for her to make sure that she had made it through. See, she was nice.

Without anymore hesitation she pushed her trolley forward towards the wall between platforms nine and ten her pace quickening to a brisk walk as she reached it. It was so normal for her Hady didn't even consider how weird it might be for the younger girl and her parents. Oh well there wasn't much she could do about that now as she easily passed through the wall and onto the platform on the other side.
