"Okay." he swallowed and just looked at Torie. "You promise?" he asked quietly. He didn't want to get off the train and not find them. He really didn't want that to happen! He didn't want to lose mum again... "Can we go?" he asked, wiping away the tears.

"We promise" he assured him. He knew that Jay would have an absolute blast once he was on his way and be so excited. It was leaving that was hard. "Of course we can." he said gently "Do you want to go first?" he asked and grinned at the squawk from Torie.

"Can we go together?" he asked, blinking up at them innocently. He reached for the trolley that mum was holding and moved to push it for them both. Maybe he and Torie could hold a side each and walk through?

"I think so" Gid said with a smile nodding, Torie grinned and moved to help push the trolley together with Jay. "Let's go Jay!" he said trying to keep his full excitement at bay. Though it was REALLY hard to!

He smiled at Torie and then handed over half of the trolly handle to him and started to walk toward the wall. He'd keep up with Torie though. He moved to grab his jacket and bit his lip.

He grinned at Jay and walked with him. They finally were going through it! He was holding back because he knew Jay was nervous but after hearing all about how the wall vanishes as they went through he was practically bouncing on his feet as he pushed the trolley. They finally were at the wall and looking at Jay he grinned and moved to push through.

He went with him and smiled at Torie, but when they went through the wall, he glanced back at mum and dad and his sisters and swallowed hard. He hated leaving. He just hoped they'd be there when they got off the train.

Gid and the girls smiled encouragingly at them both as they went through the wall. Torie was so excited and beamed when he saw the train. "We're finally going!" he said breathlessly excitement filling his voice.

He got through too and beamed at the train. "It's so big!" So why couldn't they come on the train with them??? "Why do you want to leave so bad?" he asked quietly, looking at Torie.

"It is" he said softly looking up at it, really feeling small now. "Because....all my life I've had to have someone looking after me." he said softly, "My mum, then mum and dad...now I want to see if I can take care of myself."

"I don't want to leave mum..." he spoke quietly. "I can take care of myself, I just don't want to leave." he shrugged. "I'll miss them." He supposed they had to leave at some point though. Ugh.

He nodded at Jay's words. "I don't want to leave them either. "They've done so much for me, taught me so much and been there when no one else was." he said softly. "But....I want to go too...even though I'll miss them."

"Mum said we have to go." he looked down. "I just don't want to. It's not fair." he sighed sadly.

"Be bad." he murmured, "Maybe she'll keep you home like she threatened me!"

"Not likely kiddo." Becca muttered as she came out from behind them holding Norah's hand. "I'm onto you both." she nudged them.

James jumped and looked up at her with wide eyes. "I wasn't going to be bad!"

Torie sighed shaking his head "I'm just giving him an idea. He doesn't want to go, so if he wants to stay he should be bad. Or was that threat not true?" he asked a little smirk appearing.

"Are you testing me, young man?" she eyed him. "You know better than that." She moved to touch James' back. "James doesn't want to go to Hogwarts, so making him stay at home wouldn't be a punishment, would it?" she eyed him.

He sighed and shook his head folding his arms now. This was one of the reasons he really wanted to go! He didn't find it fair whatsoever. He wanted to be freeeee and learn everything he could about magic and doing magic!

"Much better. It won't be hard to be bad, but you will be punished for being naughty there too." She explained. "Detentions are the usual punishments, they can be cruel and unusual, so be careful." Her blue eyes focused on him now. "Please be good, Torie."

He chewed his lip and nodded. He didn't want to be naughty just wanted his freedom and to be able to do more than he could at home. He felt like all he was treated as was a child and not someone who had the right to make decisions for himself. Like go out and about himself! Ugh, still two years before Hogsmeade though unless he found a way to get there, heh! "I'll try" he said softly.

He swallowed then, his throat closing up. "I love you too mum." he whispered. He'd nearly said 'mummy' but he wasn't going to do that. He was a big kid now and didn't need to use words like daddy and mummy. "We'll try to be good and do as we're told." he said softly.
