| | |  The Office of Quincy Hart
This room might be the smallest in the entire building, but Quincy has found a way to make the most of his office connected to the mail room. His door can most often be found open as Quincy has nothing to hide and welcomes visitors. But if the door is closed, he's usually in a meeting or busy with work that cannot be disturbed. His desk sits in the center of the room, a familiar stack of papers sit on the edge in a tray that never empties. A large desk calendar is splayed across the surface, stained by coffee and tea rings, and accompanied by a few pictures of his family and friends. Behind the desk sits a filing cabinet with a potted plant settled on the top along with a small enchanted clock. In the far corner, unnoticed by most, is a Jobberknoll on a wooden perch, ever watchful of everyone who comes and goes. The walls have not lost their blue from the previous manager, and the window by his desk is as open as is door.
Scattered across the walls, in a seemingly pell-mell fashion, are several large posters. To the left of the door is a large world map taped to the drywall; yellowed with age, it seems insignificant until one takes notice to the marks on it. Quincy, as the managers before him did, use this map to track several different things. And if he ever has the time, he'll gladly divulge into the purpose and meaning of the moving, blinking black spots. Getting directed to go through the Mail Room to get to the office Ebenezer adjusted the collar on his shirt and pulled down on his thin black tie to give him some breathing space. Just before he neared the open door he patted his hair to make sure the gel was holding it up the way he liked to wear it. He had even decided to go clean shaven taking his bear off the night before, it had already started coming back. Presentation is key, as always. Grabbing tight the dark brown Man-Purse he held to his side that carried all of his school books and novels. stood at the doorway, "I'm here for an interview for Owl Post Assistant." His hair was still up wasn't it? He patted it up again just to be safe.

The stacks of paper on his desk were unusually high on his desk, and made for one busy owl post manager, even when they weren't being swamped with costumers or trying to feed the owls. He'd been filling the spot of his last assistant when he could, but there was only so much he could do without falling behind in some parts of his work.
Hence the meeting today.
He sat at his desk bent over a file, when someone spoke and had his dark eyes looking up at the doorway. "Come in," Quincy stood and waved the man closer, holding out a hand to shake. "I hope you didn't have any issues getting back here."

Good this was the place, it certainly looked it too, all cluttered and office-y looking. he almost didn't see the man behind the pile of papers until he stood up to shake his hand. "No issue, got a good look at the post office before I was directed back here." Ebenezer took the mans hand and gave it a firm shake. He down at the empty chair and without being offered, took it. It was there for his taking wasn't it? He set his Man-Purse on his lap and fiddled with the edges lightly drumming them until the man spoke first.

He questioned after looking up. His current employees were kind women who were likely to do such a thing, but they were usually pretty busy, so he wasn't sure how much of a tour he received.
"I have here your resume, but I'd like to here from you your reasons for wanting to work here." Besides the obvious need of galleons. He leaned back in his seat and settled his dark eyes on the other man.

I hadn't bothered to ask. If your offering a tour of he work place might as well take you up on it." he stopped fiddling with his man-purse when the guy brought his resumee into the conversation. he tried to keep his cool when answering. "I'm just looking for a job to fill in any extra time while I study at Edinburgh for my Masters. I've had experience working at a muggle Mail Room and figured this would be a good fit." His true passion still went to Gobstones. Nothing was more important then that.

Juni hadn't planned on giving any tours, but he supposed he could do one for the kid, seeing how his other two employees were always busy making sure the costumers were looked after and the owls kept happy. Hundreds of unhappy owls was not something that he needed on his hands. "I can give you a tour assuming this meeting goes well." He really hoped it did, since finding a hard worker was damn near impossible.
"You do realize this is a far cry from a muggle post office? You won't just be dealing with mundane items. We do howlers too, and people often package things that can be dangerous. Not to mention you'll also be caring for the owls." And that alone was the one reason he found it difficult to keep people around. He paused for a brief moment, considering the other man before speaking again. "How are you with owls?"

She'd been told that Quincy wanted to see her about something, so Vashti made her way to his office after she'd finished sending a couple of the owls off with some letters that needed to be delivered. Walking through the mail room and up to the office door easily - after working here for a few years, it wasn't hard to remember where everything was after all - she stopped at the door frame and lightly knocked a couple times to announce her presence.

"One of you're colleagues. You'll get a chance to have formal greetings later, right now I have a meeting with her." He dropped the other man's hand and motioned her further into the office. "If you'd be so kind as to give us a moment."
Quincy smiled warmly at the younger woman, not taking his seat until she took up hers. "Come in, Vashti. This will only take a moment."

The someone apparently was going to be one of her colleagues now though based on what he just said, so Vashti offered him a smile. "I look forward to working with you." It would be nice to have a fourth person around the shop again.
Entering when her boss asked her to, she returned the warm smile and took her seat. "What is this about?" she asked curiously.

"So what do you say?"

"For a while during my summer vacations while at Hogwarts I actually volunteered at a magical creatures rescue near my house. There were lots of injured or somewhat aggressive owls there that I had to learn to care for. I consider myself qualified to work with owls, personally." Was that the right thing to say? His father had told him to always act more secure in interviews than he actually was, but what was the line between secure and overconfident? | |

Quincy mulled this over for a bit while going through the man's file again. "Okay. Well. We'll have to see if that's true or not. Let's start off with seeing how well you work with the women here first yeah?" He rose from his seat and walked around the desk to the door.
"We can do a working interview today, and I'll let you know my decision at the day's end." He paused at the door and turned to gauge his reaction.
