| | The Guest Rooms Up the spiral staircase, the platform leads to a long hallway. On either side of the hall are different colored doors that each led to a guest room. The key to every guest room has a different color ribbon attached that corresponds to the color of the door. This little detail helps Harley remember who is staying where.
Inside each room is a large and comfortable bed that seems to sink in with each guest as they lie down for a snooze. Beside the bed is an old wooden table that has a lamp for candlelight. Each lamp is special to each room. The color of the door is the color that the light illuminates the space. Once the light is lit the colors floats up to the ceiling and illuminates the room in a round ball of gas hovering above the bed.
Every room is cleaned and maintained by the cleaning staff every morning after the guests have breakfast. And because Lucy lives at the Leaky Cauldron she is always available to handle any problems or complaints filed about the room or service.
Each one of the fifteen rooms at the Leaky Cauldron is equip with a fireplace for flooing (but remember that only those with guest keys may do so), a vanity, and a dresser with several wooden hangers, and a view of the streets below, which filter in the noise from both Diagon Alley and Charing Cross Roads.
Because of the limited space at the Leaky Cauldron those who wish to spend the night or any length of time must file with Lucy about staying in a guest room. Once administered a key be mindful to be respectful to your fellow witches and wizards and at all times follow the Rules of the Leaky Cauldron. OOC: In order to post here, your character must have rented a room from Lucy. If you are posting here without renting, you will be notified by PM that your posts have been deleted. Repeated offenders will result in further action taking place.
Feel free to role play your characters bustling about up here. When your character chooses to check out, though, let Birchwoodmom know, so you can be taken off the list. Names that have been on the list for more than three weeks will be removed automatically. Down the hall? Virgo took out her wand and cast a spell "accio Miss Westerfield's bags" did she say her name right? Even so, the bags went straight up to where they are and placed themselves on the floor like so. "You're a witch" Virgo smiled at her "It's easier to unpack when you used magic" well that's what she did when she unpacked her clothes.
Having magic has it's advantages. Unless you're a squib. "Hello Virgo." Shelby said. "So what brings you to the Leaky?" Shelby asked, opening all the boxes labled clothes. "Please call me Shelby. My students even call me Miss SHelby." Miss Westerfield made her sound like her mother, old. SHe was only 22. "Yeah, magic helps, but I only need a few things unpacked. My apartment's being fumugated, so I'm staying here for a bit. Although, I think I like here better, maybe I'll ask Ryoma if I can start renting." Shelby thought.

Virgo was pleased that the woman was not snobbish like her past encounters. I mean, when was helping out a crime anyway. Gladly Shelby is not one of those. Virgo looked at her while she started unpacking her clothes. She's doing it again, unpacking on her own and not using magic. Or maybe Virgo was just so dependent on magic. She grew up with magic. Her parents always use it to often that sometimes she tends to forget that some loves doing things with their hands and not with magic. But why waste time, right? <-- Well, according to Virgo that is. "I work in the Ministry that's why i'm renting here for awhile." she shared to her. She's roaming around Shelby's room and after awhile she took a seat on the chair. "Do you also work in the ministry?" she asked her. She hasn't seen her around though but probably she does work there, only in a different Department "I work in the Department of Mysteries" she shared. "as a Death Chamber Specialist" she added.
Ryoma, Virgo smiled when she heard his name "Fumugated? Why?" she asked casually. Virgo likes to ask a lot of question especially when she's interested.

Ryoma, Virgo smiled when she heard his name "Fumugated? Why?" she asked casually. Virgo likes to ask a lot of question especially when she's interested. Shelby thought unpacking with her hand was too much strain on her back so she stood up and took out her wand. With a flick, all of her clothes were in their proper places. With another flick of the wand, her music stand and violin were nicely put by the window.
Shelby watched as Virgo took a seat in the chair. "I used to work there. I recently quit. To much stress. Although when they're hiring again, I might go back. I liked meeting all the people. I woked on the Invisiblilty Task Force. Ooohhh, I heard working in the department of mysiteries is always interesting." Shelby said. "A death chamber specialist?" She asked. "I mostly teach music now." Shelby took a seat on her bed.
"Some kids down the hall decided that it would be awesome to set of several stinck bombs all at one time in everyhall and somehow got one into every room of the building." Shelby said.

Virgo watched her as she started to use magic to fix her things. Now, that's more like it. That's what she did when she unpacked her, in fact she does that all the time. Virgo is crazy for magic. She'll die if she becomes a muggle.
She used to work there? That's really interesting but she was right about the stress part. Working in the ministry is quite hectic. You need to be in yur game to survive in there. Everyone wants something from you. Thankfully Virgo's job position doesn't do much. In fact most of the Unspeakables doesn't do much at all. They had a different environment when working and their job position doesn't require a hectic schedule, unless if they go on researches. "Interesting?" If by that you mean, not giving out any specifications about your work, then yes. Department of Mysteries is interesting. When Virgo was younger, she thought it was just plain boring and creepy. Black walls and silent work areas. Who works like that? Virgo nodded her head when Shelby repeated her position in the Department.
Music, that's lovely. Virgo is an only child and ever since she was young, she has learned to play a lot of music. A little bit boring for her though, because she never really gets to play in front of a crowd. And Virgo was a very awkward as a kid. "That's nice" she complimented Shelby's work.

"Yeah, one of my friends worked there. She said bussiness was always........interesting. She always used that word to describe it. A lot of people did. You know, cause you can't talk about it." She said.
"Oh, thanks. I might go part time at a muggle school. I'm not sure." SHelby said. "Any hobbies?"

Jade headed up to her room and immediately found room 1-7. It was small but spacious enough for her. She set her things down and went about putting her stuff away. She had a week to start looking for a place to live and get settled down permanently. She took out a scroll of parchment and tapped it with her wand to reveal a list of places available for rent.

Despite being the one following the man, Roxanne had somehow managed to get to the room before him. She waited tensely for him to catch up and unlock the door, shifting her weight from foot to foot.
She wondered if she even get sleep tonight. How could she? Sharing a room with a stranger!

Altair was lost in thought as he made his way up the spiral staircase and down the long hallway, multiple doors quietly passing by him with a different color ribbon to signify easier who's room was who's. Though, it seemed the young man didn't need to take so much at a glance at the numbers as the girl who had lost her money was standing rather anxiously at the door tied with the red ribbon. Girl-who-lost-her-money...
It wasn't till then that Altair realized he didn't even know the kid's name. Fumbling about in his pocket with a bit tongue in concentration and dark eyes looking up to the ceiling as he fished out a key. This seemed to wake up his dark feathered owl, who opening one eye in confident curiosity, decided to go back to sleep as quickly as she woke.
Walking in, the room looked spacious enough and neat, to the left an unused fireplace, which would be convenient when using the floo network to get to work. The light was what seemed a bit strange, as their door color was red, the lamps that glowed within the room emitted a red light to match.
Glancing at the main bed, and the one that had been brought in for them, Altair dragged his trunk quite effortlessly over to the spare, sliding the thick black container under the bed before clicking it open with the intention of getting some parchment to write on.
But it was to late for that. Sleep come now, or Merlin be a muggle.
It wasn't a usual habit, but the man slid into the bed with all his day clothes still on, ready to sleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. Though curiosity seemed to win over it, and Altair turned his head to glance one more at the girl.
She didn't look the type to steal. Check.
She didn't look the type to kill him in his sleep. Check.
...Then again they never do....
...... Uncheck.
His eyes fell on the cat, and then to his owl. Kim could fend for herself, what was it called again? Oh right, character building. His owl needed some of that anyway.

The man seemed almost comfortable with their situation. He was getting ready to sleep! Or at least pretend to sleep. Maybe he was only trying to lull her into a false sense of security. The fact that he had taken the spare bed instead of the main one had not escaped her notice, but the gentlemanly behavior of a carnie was not something Roxanne cared to make a big deal over. He was staring at her!
Roxanne couldn't stand silence for long. "Er... I never got your name, sir."
Right. The most cliche of all conversation starters. He probably thought that she was insane... or something equally not-so-good. Lycander jumped up onto the other bed, making sure everyone knew that the bed was obviously his property and that his pet would be sleeping on the floor.
"Bloody cat," she muttered under her breath.
She loved him. Really. She did. But he seemed to think that he was just the blasted king of the world. Or, in this case, the king of every available inch of bed his lanky, yet pudgy, frame could cover. She wondered if he was showing off his power. She doubted, however, that he would be able to stop the man if he tried to kill her in her sleep.

Altair propped himself up with his elbows before even realizing he had done such, shaking his head for a moment to get some dark locks that fell messily across his eyes, out of his line of vision.
"Altair." he answered, reformatting the way his quilt lay before sliding back into it ,as though making his own bed back home more comfortable. Turning his rather boyish looking brown eyes, he returned the question, shifting his weight to his side along the mattress, "...Ahnd you?"
He eyed that cat curiously, looks like her cat needed some character building as well. He just hoped for the cat's sake that Kim didn't notice it's presence.

She sat down daintily on the edge of the bed, avoiding her cat, who had his head on the pillow as if he were human. Odd thing. She sighed. Maybe Lycander would someday realize that Roxanne could totally kick him out to starve if she wanted to, because she was bigger then him. However, for some odd reason, she was fond of him.
She swung her duffel bag gently back and forth, looking about the room. She felt guilty for taking this man's... Altair's money. She would need to pay him back once she found her pouch.

"Vell it's good to meet you..." Even though the meeting part was quite strange.
The young man offered a warm smile before a yawn came about him, causing his head to fall deeper into the fluffy pillow.
And then it went black.
-------------------
It was barely dawn when Altair woke up with a stretch, his dark eyes flashing with a mixture of question and surprise as he looked at the ceiling. Vhere am-!?
Oh. Right.
As though checking to see if everything had really transpired, he peaked over his covers at the bed across from him. O___________O So it wasn't a dream!?
Shaking his head at his own self he remembered the whole purse incident, he would probably help her look down the streets of Diagon Alley today to find it. First though, a nice shower to get out of yesterday's clothes.
Careful to not wake her as the young man crouched by his trunk, he sorted out some robes that looked decent in England before setting off to the bathroom, clothes coming with him after Altair double checked he had everything.

She couldn't believe she had lost her money and been forced to compromise her pride and dignity to spend the night in a room with a strange man who looked like a gypsy.
Lycander lifted his head from the space above her head, and glanced down at her imperiously. The sight of his familiar feline smirk comforted her only slightly. What would really comfort her would be getting her money back.
Checking to make sure Altair was still in the shower, she quickly dressed herself in fresh clothes, then brushed out her rather long hair.
She decided that she would wait until the man had gotten out, and then thank him for sharing a room. Then she would go find her money, pay him back, and forget about him.

| To the Couple-ish-thing Who Am I? Ern's 2460FUN Harley walked up the stairs of the Leaky Cauldron and walked down the hallway going to each room and checking on the inhabitants. When she finally reached room 1-3 she took a deep breath and knocked. These two had really thrown her for a loop today and she had seen a lot of very strange things at the Leaky Caulron.
Then she left the wine at the door and cast an enchantement for the wine to not be able to budge off the floor until one of the two people in the room picked it up. Honestly she did not want to see either of them. She was afraid of what to say. Ah well.

Shelby walked to her room and unlocked the door. As always the room was very clean and beautiful. She would keep it that way, it was rude otherwise. Shelby put Charlie down in the bed. He was still sleeping. Pulling out her all her shrunken stuff, she put a spell on everything to put itself in place. her music stand went to the corner and she followed with her violin. Practicing always made the place more home-y.

She decided that she would wait until the man had gotten out, and then thank him for sharing a room. Then she would go find her money, pay him back, and forget about him. Where was his...?
Ah, great, he left his wand outside. With a sigh he threw a towel over is long soppy hair that he now had to dry manually. While drying his hair muggle-fashion, Altair looked towards the dark blue razor that rested next to the sink.
"Cleen it up...everything..." he grimaced. It seemed, as he found out a year previous, Brits were not too fond of any facial hair. In response, the razor almost hesitated as though in confusion before working it's magic.
Bada bam. He didn't look like a tired and ragged 23 year old anymore, though with his brown hair tied back in a low ponytail and dark features he was still obviously foreign, and his strong build still made him look a bit like a carnie.
But hey, some things you can't change.
Altair was about to finish running the towel one last time through his hair when he heard a knock on the door, dressed in fresh robes, he unlocked the bathroom door to go answer the main door, only to find no one there, but the wine and another drink they had asked for the night before... A leetle late... he thought, scooping the drinks up and bringing them to the little counter in their room.
Plopping down quite casually on his bed, the man went about the business he was about to do the night before, pulling out a piece of parchment paper and scribbling down a note with a bit of thoughtfulness on the best way to word it.
Altair nodded his head, good enough opening, short, to the point, and no way was he going to tell his nonsensical Aunt that "while" meant "live"
And he would be sure to postpone this visit till the last second possible, maybe rescue Scurt and Vy once he does...okay maybe not Vy. Though, it wasn't a complete lie, he would probably have a lot to do in the ministry should they accept him...
Yup. Sounded decent enough for his tastes. Leaving the parchment on the bed, he opened Kim's cage only to get a grumpy hoot for a greeting. He tsked his tongue, "Aye, it euasn't zaht bad....." he attempted to coo the animal before shaking his head slowly with a half frown and a raised eyebrow.
Then he remembered the girl....Roxanne it was.
Turning his head over his shoulder for a moment, his dark eyes glanced to her, "Vell, Miss. Roxanne, ve should get going to look for zat wallet..."
After all, it was still a good hour before a others would be waking, and they would need to get to the wallet first.

After all, it was still a good hour before a others would be waking, and they would need to get to the wallet first. Roxanne sat completely still as the man went about... whatever it was. She wasn't one to pry, and quite honestly, she wasn't very interested anyway.... well, not very interested.
She found it difficult to understand his accent, but she made out that he was offering to help her find her wallet. Well... she supposed... that it might be... to her advantage that she.... allow the strange man to help her. She sighed, "Thank you... Altair." Gypsy-Boy. It seemed a reflex now. Gypsy-Boy. She would forever call him that in her head.
And maybe out loud... she'd call him Al. If she decided she liked him and saw him on a regular basis anyway. Which was doubtful.
Silence. She hated it. So, she would fill it with pointless chatter. "You sound foreign, Mr.... er, Altair." this was ironic as she had a rather strong, but lilting, Gaelic accent. "Do you come from, say... Romania?" she used to work as a dragon trainer there. She knew a Romanian accent when she heard one. "Are you here on business? Or, perhaps, would you have by chance worked as a dragon trainer in Romania?" She thought she would have remembered this... carnie-ish looking man if she had ever seen him, but even she had been known to overlook things.

Altair went to go attach the letter to the owl's leg, though she still seemed pridefully bitter since the night before, before sending her out into the night air as Roxanne spoke.
Well. That got one thing off his checklist for the day. Romania? So she was able to pick up his accent, eh? He must say, the man was quite impressed. "Aye, and 'ou are from Ireland?" he mused, his tone the in-between of a question and a statement. He had been there quite a few times for quidditch matches, also it was quite a popular accent to begin with.
"Ye....I am here on business....applying to work for za Ministry." He grinned quite hopefully. He gave a playful shake of the head at the question on dragon training. It seemed that was what Romania was known for, though, he did indeed fill the stereotype by coming from a partial dragon training family, but he was 'eh' when it came to the beasts. Fluffy and cute, that was where it was at.

Fluffy and cute, that was where it was at. Interesting. "I've applied for a job as well." she said primly. Good Merlin, don't let him be in her department. There was only so much of this man she could take. Although, even if she hated to admit it, she was becoming almost fond of this strange person.
"No? I've worked as a dragon trainer. I'm rather fond of dragons and other such beasts. I've applied for a job in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures Department. Animals are a soft spot for me."
Which was why she put up with Lycander and his kingly affiliations. Many people didn't associate dragons with her. They thought she'd be more affectionate towards the smaller, fluffier animals. Not so. She liked the more dangerous and exciting beasts. Dragons, Hippogriffs, and Manticores. She liked those.
Tilting her head curiously she graced him with the first smile she'd performed since she left Ireland. "Does anyone call you 'Al'?" she knew that she hated it when people called her Roxie, she wondered how this... Altair felt about pet names.

Adler reached the room 1-6. He unlocked and opened the door. He saw a comfortable bed there. "How can I pay this room so expensive?" he thought. He put his big backpack on a table then laid himself on a bed. "Tomorrow I will visited the Ministry office, again. But not at the boring International Cooperation. Adler Charlotte, now is a Security Officer." |

Elizabeth and Carina found 2-2, their room. "Here is some money, Carina, go get you something from Diagon Alley, if you want." Elizabeth handed Carina some money and Carian skipped away. Elizabeth looked at the room and nodded with approval. "This week will be extra long." Elizabeth grumbled to herself.

Nicole and Kathren arrived at room 1-1. Nicole put the room key in the hole and turned it and open the door. Her and Kathren looked aroud in wonder. The room seemed fine to the both of them. Two bed for each of them, and enough room for the both of them. This was Kathrens first day back from her grandparents house in the States, and instead of going having to go home in the country, Nicole and Kathren deicded to stay in the Leaky Cauldron for a week, so they can learn how to get around Diagon Alley and so Nicole can get to the Ministry for her first week of work. The Botts' just moved to England this last month, and have gotten a nice small house in the country out of the city, like they wanted.
Nicole and Kathren walked into room 1-1 and sat there bags aside, while they both went there seprate ways. Kathren went and jumped on her bed she picked between the two, while Nicole walked over to the window in there room and looked out; to find a busy city below. This was one of Nicole's and Kathren's first time in London. They have only drove threw it to get to there new house, but this time they were going to stay in London- and also the Wizarding World for a week to get used to it. Nicole looked over at Kathren who was now jumping on the bed. "Kathren," Nicole said, while walking over to her and grabbing her by the waist and pulling her down off the bed. "Now, don't jump on the bed. Didn't I teach you that?" Nicole said while walking over to her bags. "Yes mum," Kathren said in a sad low voice. Nicole turned around and said, "Okay later we are going to go around and get to know this place more," Nicole started to say to Kathren. "Now, which place do you want to look at first? Diagon Alley, or London?" Nicole asked, while slightly fixing Kathrens shirt. "Digon Alle," Kathren said badly. Nicole laughed at her. Of course the Wizarding World first.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Kiana Desiree Remora Fifth Year | two sides of the same coin Felicity slowly walked up the stairs with Don carrying all their luggage.. what was she doing? She pulled out her wand and flicked it at her bags, which promptly rose into the air. With a satisfied smile she continued up to the room, 1-8. Don was staring in awe at the floating bags, he tugged on her skirt, "Mum when do I get to learn how to do that..?" Looking down at her son, she smiled, "When you go off to Hogwarts, you'll get your very first wand." Don still didn't look happy, "But mum, isn't that a long time.." Lis just laughed quietly, "Come on Don, we're here."
She opened up the door and looked around, it was actually quite nice, and clean. Not at all how she remembered it. There was even a fireplace she could use to get to the Ministry. They must have remodeled. She placed her bags on the bed and then picked up Don and put him up next to them. He stood up, "Can I jump on the bed, mum?" he asked already starting to jump in place. Felicity gave him a reproachful look, but wasn't about to spoil his fun, she sighed, "I suppose, just be careful." she warned taking out her clothes and hanging them on the wooden hangers provided.
She was starting to get hungry and was hoping their food would be brought up soon, but then she remembered she only got tea.. oh well Don wasn't going to finish all of his. She sat down in a chair by the window and watched him jumping on the bed. A smile played on her lips, while she held back a small tear, why couldn't he be here to see this?
