Louisa paused. The girl with the sunglasses looked awfully familiar, the sickly sweet and psycho grin gave her away. "This is how I know I overstayed my welcome." In London.

The former Ravenclaw responded to her arch enemy's grin with a sarcastic, not-humorous smile. She reached out for the animosity within but it was very hard to find traces of that after all this time, though she had faith Aspen was going to revive it in no time.

"You're in my way."

This? This was how she knew? Aspen's grin only widened. THIS was nothing.

Of course she made no move to get out of the way. "That sounds like a personal problem." Not a problem for Aspen, or an officer of the LAW. "Do you have any documentation? What's your reason for being in the country?" Aspen used her forefinger to lower her sunglasses a bit, just to give Louisa the full-on STARE.

Documentation? Louisa can give her documentation alright, she just didn't want to do anything inappropriate in public so early today. And before giving Joao his car back. He might cry.

"Do you have any documentation that allows you to cross people's paths asking for documentation?" No one in his right mind would give Aspen any kind of 'documentation', Louisa didn't even wait for an answer, she kept her smirk on and took a step to the side.

Of course, Aspen matched her step. A step for a step.

As for documentation, Aspen pulled her badge from the inside of her shirt out. She let it linger between them for a beat or two, long enough for Louisa to read "AUROR" before she tucked it back away.

"You seem suspicious. I'll need you to empty your pockets and surrender your belongings." ..... she explained, 100000000% serious.

Louisa blinked and a badge was up in her face with the word Auror on it. Aspen's words didn't even make an impact on her because this was too funny and too... crazy. She laughed instead, and fanned her face to keep from tearing up.

"If I seem suspicious, how do you think that badge seems to me?" HAHAHA. No, seriously, what was up with that? Aspen deciding to join the good guys' side? "Joao in the minister's office, you supposedly on the Aurors team. Still no one caught up with that fact that you two are conspiring to rule Britain?" Wasn't it OBVIOUS? Heh heh heh.

Maybe Joao's ex wasn't The Dumbest Claw Ever after all. Joao always softened Aspen up a little. Louisa's comment of their inevitable reign-to-be made the GRIN, the alligator-about-to-eat-you grin, return with a vengeance.

Louisa's use of "supposedly" hadn't gone unnoticed either.

"Your pockets and belongings," Aspen repeated. "I'll be needing those."

Louisa gave Aspen a raise of the eyebrows with a I-am-bored look. She DID have a lot of personal problems, but that wasn't news. And Aspen's signs were not even legit so, moving on.

This was getting less fun, more repetitive. "I'll be needing those, too." Her belongings and stuff. "You can go and rob someone else." Mhmm, and now Louisa took two steps forwards forcing Aspen to move, or collide with her. She didn't care as long as they stopped this staring, fang-showing and stupid demands.

"Resisting a search from an officer of the Law will only make this harder for you. Just show me your pockets," Aspen suggested reasonably, if not entirely matching Louisa's "bored" facade.

This was anything but boring. This was going to be the highlight of Aspen's week. Hehe.

"Rob," Aspen laughed. "I've never robbed anyone," she lied. Such a lie. Huge lie. Aspen hadn't robbed anyone TODAY though? She was due. And she'd be needing to see what Louisa had on her. Aspen let Louisa step around her, but she DID slip out a foot smoothly, more or less at attempt to trip the Former Head Girl up.

...ooop. Louisa dodged the foot in the last second, and turned to face Aspen again. And sighed. Then chuckled and shook her head. "They teach you some scary techniques to stop suspects from escaping." IF she was really an Auror and hadn't stolen this badge from someone. It wasn't beyond the Odessa.

But fine, TWO could play this game. Politicians and Officers of the law were always at different ends under the table. "You have no ground on which you can prove your suspicion against me. And you're not eligible to look into my pockets yet, you're still a trainee." Aspen was a year younger than Louisa, it wasn't hard to figure out. HOWEVER. "But since you're so interested in me today, I will give you one belonging of mine." She smirked, fished out Joao's car keys and threw it to the psycho claw. "We switched vehicles for a day, I parked it outside." Why was she telling her that? Because Louisa couldn't find the animosity yet.

But really. Really. REALLY. Was Louisa questioning Aspen's ability to be scary? That was so interesting coming from the girl that Aspen had literally set on fire. During class.

Aspen's head tilted to the side as she considered her next move. She was interested in Louisa MOST days. Why wouldn't she be? Joao's ex was interesting. Louisa was high strung, she was unpredictable, and she was smart when she chose to be. Like now, for example.

The keys landed in Aspen's hand, cradled against her chest. She'd have known them without the explanation, but... "Is that an attempt to make me jealous?" Aspen asked, seriously. Seriously, was it? She slipped the keys into her own pocket while waiting for her answer.

Make Aspen jealous? Louisa honestly hadn't thought about that before. "I'm not one to take on a losing war." She replied, more to herself than to the girl in front of her. It was why she didn't fight for Vickers, and it was why she wasn't going to try and make Aspen jealous. Joao was happy and obviously smitten with a mysterious weirdo, there was nothing Louisa could do about it but accept it. Not to mention that her feelings for him were more nostalgic than real.

"And if I wanted to make you jealous, I'd snog him in front of you." No subtleties in these matters, Louisa would take the shortest path that would make the biggest impact. Heh. "Do you get jealous?" It was such a weird notion. It indicated... feelings.

"I'd kill you," was Aspen's first and automatic response, casually spoken and casually accepted as automatic truth by Aspen. It was BIZARRE for Aspen to speak without thinking and calculating first, but she'd been so sure about it - out it came. No jokes. If Louisa snogged Joao in front of her, she'd react. Indeed.

As for Aspen's jealously? Maybe. Probably not though. Not in the sense that Louisa probably meant anyway.

"I get even," not jealous. And even that was a lie, Aspen liked to be ahead, one up, three steps ahead. On that note, Aspen slipped her wand out, gave it a quick flick and Aspen silently attempted to summon whatever Louisa DID have in her pockets.

....hehe.

"I believe you." Louisa responded as automatically as Aspen had. Though a small, loaded smile invaded her face because she'd gotten her answer, regardless of what Odessa said next. She DID get jealous, she got very jealous, actually, to the point where she'd go for extremes to protect who what she thought was hers. Or maybe that was more possessiveness than jealousy. That said volumes about the so-called psycho. Hehh.

Aaaaand finally her wand was out and working. Louisa had been waiting for that, only dumb people fall for that more than twice once, and so she got her wand out as soon as possible, attempting to block Aspen's spell. The smile never fading, "You know, Odessa, you're not as detached as you appear to be." Louisa took a bow and flicked her wand at her opponent, aiming for the sunglasses to fly off. "The mystery is why you want to appear detached, hence communicating with your wand." Trauma? Personal choice? Consider Louisa intrigued.

They were clear then. Aspen didn't doubt that Joao would never let it happen, but... seeing that Louisa wasn't all that far removed from Aspen herself, she wouldn't put it past the girl to try.

Calmly, Aspen reached up to take her sunglasses out of the air. She didn't have quidditch skills exactly, but Odessas were coordinated. As fast as she grabbed her sunglasses, she tossed them straight at Louisa's face.

Next thing, Aspen was shooting a binding spell at Louisa. "What do you know about cursing an on-duty officer of the law?" As for her questions? Louisa would just have to figure that one out on her own.

Wand still in her hand, Louisa tried blocking the next spell but it hit her left arm. It was fine, though, she could still move her other one. "You'd be surprised how much I know." Part of her study that was. But Aspen probably didn't know that Louisa and Joao shared most of their university curricula. Speaking of... Louisa wondered if Joao mentioned her at all when she was away? Probably not, considering the way they always seemed to part with. Heh.

With Louisa's left arm bound by the binding spell, Aspen stepped to that side and took Louisa by the wrist. With what was obviously a practiced, well-oiled move, Aspen twisted Louisa's arm behind her. Aspen HAD her now, at least physically.

SIIIIIIIINCE they were so close, Aspen leaned her chin forward and rested it on Lousia's shoulder. By all outwards appearances, bypassers PROBABLY thought the two were having a friendly friend hug. Chummy hugs, even!

"Lots." Was the answer to THAT question. Haha! Lots. That didn't shock anyone though, did it? "Want to go get a drink before you meet my boyfriend to give his car back?" Casual sort of asking.

Louisa winced, though not pained, when Aspen twisted her arm and practically tackled her. Was the chin on her shoulder really necessary? She rolled her eyes, suppressing a grin. "I really don't think I have a choice." Hullo, she was half-tied...

... WHICH spoke volumes (again) about the so-called officer of the law. Her need to restrain someone before asking them to a drink (IF that was even what she really was saying), did she think she couldn't get people to hang out with her if she hadn't restrained them first? Was she a controlling psycho? Or was she a scared little rabbit wearing a lion's face? Louisa should've made her psychology paper about Odessa, this was very fun! Joao would love to hear that she perceived his girlfriend as a lab rat. ish.

Aspen lowered her eyes for a moment, carefully unlooping the binding from Louisa's wrist. She was, admittedly, also using that as a ruse to try and peruse Louisa's pockets and purse. Aspen had lots of practice at this picking pockets thing, but it was harder with someone so ACTIVELY suspicious of her. It was a nice challenge for a change.

"Everyone has a choice. You could chew your arm off or die. Those would get you out of a drink with me," Aspen supplied logically, still working on the binding AND pockets/purse.

The public comment made her laugh though. A real, at ease sort of happy laugh. "You're afraid." But sure and fine. Aspen didn't know where to get drinks ALONE anyway.

Once Louisa was free, Aspen nudged Louisa towards the bar of the Leaky. Drinks. And Louisa was buying.
