| | TerrorTours Service Desk The TerrorTours Service Desk is where you head to arrange payment for the holiday you book. While there is no cash register there is a safe in the back office where all funds are kept. This area is simply a desk with an in and out tray which is charmed to move things on its own, a ledger where the shopkeeper records details of the bookings. There are various other bits of stationary, inkwells, quills, and magical post it notes strewn about here and there.
Behind the desk there is a massive world map with different coloured push pins marking the various locations available for visit. There are also a wide variety pictures on hand to take a closer look at. There is an extravagant and extremely comfortable chair behind the desk which is where you can usually find the shopkeeper, and two chairs arranged in front of the desk for clients. A short distance away there is a rather comfy little waiting area for customers to use while they are waiting to be helped, or if they simply want to sit down and flip through a brochure. Please be sure to wait your turn and try not to shout and such while sitting about, please.
Ooc: please don't chat in this thread. Post here if you need to interract with the shopkeeper and purchase a holiday pack. If you want to chat and RP for fun with your friends, you can do that at the Brochure Display or in the Seating Area, or return to the North end of the street. |

| Granddaddy Ravenclaw | | Jermione Granger Eleanor Kingsley wanted to get away. After years stuck at home, it was her time to travel. Preston told her to pick somewhere reasonable, and that they could go. She wanted to go on her own, but he'd insisted.
Coughing into her hand a little weakly, she realized that he was right, much as she wishd he weren't.
Walking up to the desk, Eleanor cast a glance around the shop. How ever would she choose?

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ He really did have a very good reason for having been under the desk. Rafe had been digging in his pockets, searching for the single piece of hard candy he'd stuck in there this morning, when he'd managed to dislodge a Galleon.
That was a lot of money to lose to dust bunnies.
So he'd climbed under the desk, reaching around feeling for the coin, and hadn't noticed the woman who had entered until he heard the little cough.
Ah. Awkward.
Finally locating the Galleon, after quite a bit of fidgeting around, he slowly peered up over the edge of the desk, not coming fully into view immediately.
"...hello."
Yeah. Hi. |

| Granddaddy Ravenclaw | | Jermione Granger It wasn't quite a shriek and not quite a squeal. Nevertheless, the sound that came out of Eleanor's mouth when a man appeared just over the edge of the desk was squeaky and sharp. One hand clasped over her mouth and the other over her heart, her eyes bulged. "You could scare someone TO DEATH," she said a bit breathlessly, dropping one hand, her heart beat slowing after her initial surprise. Hand still over her heart, she stood blinking for a moment, taking a few deep breaths. "I certainly hope you have some relaxing vacation options." Merlin.

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ Oh lord. She was some kind of 'poor constitution' person, wasn't she. Rafe's eyes widened slightly and he stood up fully, the galleon (and some dust) clenched in his fingers.
"I sell tours for that," he said simply, after she'd recovered. "I don't personally make a point of doing it though."
Setting the galleon down on the table, he gestured to one of the seats in front of the desk. She should... probably sit down. Because she looked wobbly.
"Do you need water or something? You're like, completely the wrong colour right now."
Hm.
"We have all kinds of vacations. We don't assume any responsibility for what happens on them though."
Better to get that out of the way right off, because this woman looked fit to expire if one looked at her the wrong way.

| Granddaddy Ravenclaw | | Jermione Granger Eleanor set a hand on the desk and was about to shake his suggestion of a seat off, when she realized that doing so was actually making her feel a bit wobbly. "Yes, actually, I think that would be a good idea." She paused, before heading over to a seat. "To the water, as well."
Merlin. It had to happen, now. Fine all year, and the moment her brother comes back to London, bam. Trying to convince him to leave again come September would be hard. But, maybe a trip would help get her feeling better again.
At least, she hoped so. "I'm looking for a European trip. A week or two, very lowkey. I haven't traveled much and would like to." She paused. Alright, she'd never traveled at all. "There'll be two of us. My brother and myself. Separate, but adjacent accommodations."
Eleanor was at least going to pretend she was a self-sufficient person. "Do you have recommendations?"

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ Right right. Good, she was sitting down. Because really, he knew that they assumed no responsibility for what happened on the trips, but if some chick dropped dead in his office he miiiiiiiight have a small problem. He was prolly liable for that.
Conjuring a glass, and some water into that, he leaned across the desk and held it out to the... er... poorly constitutioned woman.
"Er... Well Paris is always nice, and I the Eiffel Tower has a lift. You know, one of those Muggle things, so you don't have to walk up the stairs?" She would need one of those, wherever she went, wouldn't she. Steps would probably be the death of her. "The hotel's the easiest thing, I can get you separate rooms without an issue if that's what you want."
Plus she was a girl, and Paris had shopping. Most women liked that, didn't they? Rafe was fairly sure.
"Unless you wanted something different? Italy's nice, Florence has all sorts of history stuff if that's your bag."
He was almost afraid to offer her anything slightly more exotic. Just because he wouldn't assume responsibility for her dying didn't mean he shouldn't try to avoid it. |

| Granddaddy Ravenclaw | | Jermione Granger Accepting the glass of water, Eleanor took a sip. Closing her eyes, she willed the room to stop spinning. When she opened them again, she took another drink of water and gave a quick nod. "Paris sounds like a lovely day trip, but I'm thinking something a little more... apart, I suppose? City hustle and bustle isn't all that appealing." That, and she was pretty sure Preston would grimace at the thought of France. For whatever reason, he just didn't seem to like it. Eleanor turned her attention back to the shopkeep and considered his other suggestion. "Italian countryside, on the other hand... with occasional side-trips into cities could be nice." She took another drink of water, a healthy color returning to her face. "Could a two-week tour perhaps be arranged? Instead of staying in the same place?" "And yes, separate rooms are essential." Separate countries would be even better, but that wasn't going to happen.

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ Rafe watched quietly, almost expectantly, as she took a few sips from the glass and did that whole... thing that women did when they were dizzy. Absently, his cheeks puffed out and in and his eyes flickered to the list on the desk in front of him; no to France, out of the city bustle. Just what she needed to recover herself from her wobbly spell, probably.
"I can set you up with a tour of the Italian countryside, yeah," he said finally, his wand tip tracing along a map of the country in question and leaving a line. The line that her trip could possibly follow. It led through a few cities here and there, but a lot of it was stretched across country. "There's some small inns that I could get you put up in, for maybe two to three nights in each? It might be a bit more expensive, but tours can be, sometimes."
He'd put down his wand, and now his hand held a pencil; without looking at the paper he was writing on, he marked down a few details of what she said she'd wanted.
"I can give you a few brochures for tours around Italy, if you want to discuss it with your brother? Unless you wanted to book it today and surprise him."
Surprises were sometimes not awesome. She should probably take the brochures. But she also probably wouldn't. Hmmm. |

| Granddaddy Ravenclaw | | Jermione Granger Eleanor smiled. "It's my trip. He's just tagging along." Playing nagging nursemaid. Eleanor eyed the map and, extracting her wand, nudged the line to include another stop not on his original suggestion. "I think that looks good, don't you?" She handed the map back. "Mid-August? And, this includes transportation?" She reached into her bag to pull out a coin purse. Preston had told her she didn't need to work, and that if she did, her money was her own for whatever she chose.
And she was choosing trip. "Small inns sound delightful. I assume you need a deposit?" Eleanor looked up brightly, not quite ready to stand. "Though, I suppose I should at least look at the brochures before I make a decision..." She trailed off. She was going to book a trip today. That was certain. But perhaps she should give a little more thought to which trip.

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ Ahhhhh. So the brother was a freeloader then. Lovely. Lucky, wasn't he. Hrmph.
Rafe eyed the correction on the map for a moment, leaning in close to look at it before he consulted his little book. Had to make sure there were accommodations for them in that place, after all. Luckily, there was a little one... hopefully he'd be able to get them 'adjacent accommodations' there.
He was sure he could.
"It looks fine." Mid-August, that was do-able. "Everything's included, yeah. And a deposit would work wonders... I'd say a deposit of 100 galleons? And then the rest can be paid off just previously to the trip's beginning."
Pricing this trip was going to be odd. Hmmm.
"Feel free to browse through them. Never know, you might find something else you'd rather do." He refrained from adding on that he would fight tooth and nail if she attempted to book anything more daring than a butterfly hunt. |

| Granddaddy Ravenclaw | | Jermione Granger Eleanor smiled, before looking down and unclasping her bag. Rummaging through it, she extracted a brush, a tube of lipstick, and a vial of potion before finding her coin purse.
Tucking everything back inside, she stood, and made her way back to the desk. She counted out the galleons, in neat stacks of ten, before putting the coin purse back in her bag. "There. That should be it for the deposit." With a soft smile, and perhaps a little bit more color in her face, she set one of the brochures down on the desk and began to look through it. "Do you have any recommendations? Tours or something?" She spoke softly, and looked up with interest, her dizzy spell having passed.

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ Women always carried so much stuff in their bags. Rafe watched as... the woman, whose name he'd neglected to note, rummaged through her bag, pulling out this and that before producing a coin purse. While she counted those out, he continued to glance at the bag.
Purse. Whatever.
Distracted by imagining what else she could have pulled from the depths of her carry-on, he barely noticed when she'd finished counting galleons and had gone to looking at the brochures. However, when she voiced her question, he immediately put the thoughts of her probably carrying around an extra blouse out of his head and looked at her.
"I'd suggest three days in Rome, if you're willing. Lots of history, but it's also the centre of the Muggle Italian film industry, so you might see some crazy things going on there. And there's a few three day Rome tours that I could set up for you... er... by the way, what's your name again?"
He said this as he picked up the galleons off the desk and restacked them closer to himself, counting through them. Hopefully nobody outside was staring inside, or Miss Weak Constitution would likely get mugged and die when she left.
At least she'd be outside the shop then? |

| Granddaddy Ravenclaw | | Jermione Granger "Mmm," she murmured as she listened to him and continued to look through the brochures. She idly twisted a curl with her finger, nodding as he spoke.
Drumming her fingers on the desk, she looked up at him, lips pursed in consideration, eyes a bit narrowed. After a few moments, she nodded again. "Yes, a three day tour in Rome sounds lovely," she said definitively. "And it's Eleanor. Eleanor Kingsley. But I didn't give it, so don't worry about that." Tucking the brochures into her bag, she waited a beat. "My brother's name is Preston, if you need that for the lodging."

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ The woman was looking at him funny.
Scratching his nose, Rafe looked right back at her. Eleanor? That was an old woman's name. This was not an old woman.
Someone had misnamed her. And her brother. Apparently.
"Eleanor and Preston Kingsley." Marking that down with the rest of her travel details, and making a note of her down payment as well. And after her approval of Rome, he noted that down as well. He had a few owls to send, now. Heh.
"I can put the rooms under your names separately or just put both of them under 'Kingsley'. Either way."
Hmmmm. Hmmmm. Shuffling through a handful of brochures, he pulled out one for Tuscany.
"Could spend some time going through this one."
Helpful Rafe was helpful! |

| Granddaddy Ravenclaw | | Jermione Granger A sly smile curled on Eleanor's face. "Book them under our individual names. Nicer, larger, room for me, please." She gave a light tinkly laugh, thinking about making decisions for Preston. Oh, dear brother, how the tables have turned.
Not that he didn't do everything about and beyond for her. But his doting was tiresome.
She accepted the brochure about Tuscany and was about to speak again when another customer approached. Well... that was a decisive request. "Erm, I'll just go... wait over there and thumb through this, then." Eleanor gave a nod back to the shopkeeper and a glance back to the other customer before stepping away, already perusing the various options.

This was coming together nicely. |

Slightly surprised by the fact that the man was actually carrying enough to cover the trip, Rafe recounted the galleons and stored them in the safe. Scribbling out a receipt for the trip, he held it out to the man, also holding out a pen and the vacation slip.
"Write your address down there, please. So I can mail you all the information about your trip." |

| Granddaddy Ravenclaw | | Jermione Granger Leaning up against the wall, Eleanor tapped the toe of her shoe against the floor. She was completely immersed in the brochure, mesmerized by the vibrant moving photos of the Tuscan countryside. Eyes flicking across the pages, Eleanor wondered if she could convince Preston to spend a month.
Or maybe get a small cottage somewhere in the hills.
Probably not.
Approaching the desk, she nodded at the other gentleman. "Excuse me," she said softly before turning back to the shopkeep. "Three days in Tuscany would be wonderful, as well. Near enough to Florence, but outside the city if possible, to go by Muggle transportation, or with Floo connections." The thought of apparating around a muggle city without knowing where was safe was not at all appealing. "And, I think just accommodations at the other spots we marked out before. The tour in Rome is the only structured bit I'd like to book."

"I can definitely offer either way. It's up to you, really, whether you want floo or a vehicle."
Accommodations in other places would definitely be easy. Picking up the map they'd marked the path on, he tapped it with his wand, sticking it to the vacation application.
"If you'd write down a few details... your address and stuff like that. So I know where to send the details." |

"Can I get back to you on the question of transportation? That's something I think Preston would care about." She tapped her chin with her knuckle. His primary concern would likely be her, but secondary... well, Floo could get a little messy.
Smiling, Eleanor took the opportunity to scratch down some contact information. Eleanor Kingsley, Daily Prophet, News, Diagon Alley. "Easiest to get me at work," she said, passing the parchment back. Plus, that way Preston couldn't intercept.

Ohhh she was a Prophet worker. Interesting. So she didn't really work that far away. At least if she was going back to work, she would likely not collapse on the way. Tucking the plan into the front of the ledger book, he nodded absently.
"Right, then I'll owl you a few things, and we might have to have another meeting to set everything out but... we'll figure that out." Giving her a rare grin, he held out a hand. "Is there anything else I can do for you today-" What was it. Miss? Mrs.? Probably Miss, since her brother was going with her. "-Ms. Kingsley?" |
