Gerda could tell the human was put-off by her behavior. Typical, typical child. The girl's reaction only made her show more teeth as her smirk deepened into an evil grimace.

She slid the wand back across the counter but held on to the key. "So wot is it yer needin' then? Do yeh 'ave a deposit to make?"

The child better have. The wrinkled goblin glanced at the clock on the wall opposite and tapped one of her claw-like fingers. Twas almost lunch time...

Uh duuuhhhh.

"Yes, ..please." Bonnie added, giving the goblin an uncomfortable smile. She took her wand and slipped it into the holster and felt nervous about the key still in the goblin's hand. STOP! It's totally safe. Her thoughts didn't help her but she kept smiling, showing almost all of her teeth now.

Was the child mimicking her with that smile?

Eyes narrowing to mere slits, Gerda hopped down from her stool and moved around the counter. She didn't pause at the end of the line of tellers but waved a hand over her shoulder instead.

"This way," she grunted, signaling for the girl to follow her to the depths.

Selina smiled shyly back up at the Goblin. She had headed to Olivander's earlier in the day, but the shop keeper was a busy man and had not taken her for measurements yet. With the cutest face she could muster she replied, "Well, you see yes and no. I found a wand and it was perfect, but the shop keeper at the wand shop was called away to assist a girl having a terrible reaction to a wand. She was having seizures and screaming... so no. Not yet! I will soon."

Aww that child sure was working her adorable face, and Amshel sure was goblin putty in her tiny hands.

"Ohhh I see," he murmured sympathetically, nodding slowly as he was rather gullible. "Was she all right, the other girl?" Seizures! Merlin me those sounded traumatic! Both for the other customers and the poor child screaming... perhaps goblins really were better off without wands. What if Amshel had gone to get his first wand and instead of it shooting out sparks it set his little tuft of hair on fire or caused his face to erupt in boils or something!

He was starting to feel a little ill himself just imagining such a scenario. But back to business; the goblin would do no one good if he just toppled off his stool due to an overactive imagination.

"Well," Amshel busied himself with stacking some papers unnecessarily, "we may still be able to help you even without a wand. Now, here on your application you listed your blood status as 'other,' so... could you clarify that please?"

Smling gently across the counter, the young teller held a quill over her application to scribble what was sure to be a good, rational explanation. And if not... well... he really didn't want to call Sturnik over. The Head of Bank Security was terrifying to both humans and goblins alike!

Selina released the breath she was unaware she was even holding. The very nice goblin understood her problem with her wand. The poor girl just feel to the ground in a fit of spasms. Sensing her relation of facts was upsetting the poor goblin she quickly tried to ease his worry.
"The last I saw of the girl the two shopkeepers were helping her regain her wits about her. She was coming around to them when I left. They did not want people around, obviously."
The goblin muscles seemed to relax at this fact. Then when he asked her about her blood type she blushed. He must have thought she was not a witch or something of that manner.
Attempting to amend the mix up she replied, "No, you asked if I was a half-blood, muggle born, or pureblood. I'm none of those things. My dad's father was a pureblood and his mother was a half-blood so he was mixed. My mom was a half-blood, so I'm mixed. That was all I meant by that. Was that confusing?"
She could not believe on her application she had royally messed up. All she had to do was be clear, but instead she thought they would knew what she meant. Live and learn... right?

He leaned forward a little and tried to follow as she recounted her blood status. So her father was... a half-blood, but a wizard? And her mother is a half-blood of something.

"I'm still a little confused," he confessed. "So you're of mixed blood. But what blood?"

Goodness, she wasn't half-giant, was she?! Half-goblin, maybe? She mostly looked human, as far as his squinty eyes could tell.

The little girl wizard, er, witch, continued her explanation and Amshel nodded along, his eyes wide as if that would help his giant ears take in what she saying all the better. There was a moment of absolute silence once she finished and then his dainty mouth grew into a great big O.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH," Amshel exclaimed, making an excited few marks on her application, "NOW I see! I feel about as silly as a plimpy for not understanding the first few times."

He tee-hee'd to himself and shook his head, rustling all her papers back in order and placing a big green APPROVED stamp across the top of the vault application.

"Now then," he smiled carefully, clapping his little hands together and looking back up at the girl. "I do have a key and a vault for you but you... do you have a first deposit to make?" And how much was it?!

Amused at the human's antics, Amshel bobbed his head. "Yes yes that's what I have here!" After that small wand snafu and all the blood status confusion, Amshel was about ready to take her to her vault.

"Now then, you are vault 206, which has a small gold key," which he would hold onto until they reached the vault. "If you're ready, follow me please!"

He slipped off his stool and waddled around the counter, waving for the little witch to follow him, and then waddle-walked down toward the deep corridor to the depths.

Jake stared for a moment at the goblin and blinked rapidly, though you couldn't see it through the sunglasses. He was kind of... weirded out. The goblin worried him.

Yes it did.

"Alright?" he asked, not looking for an answer. "I need a vault."

Funny, that.

Needing a vault.

At Gringotts.

"Oh yes!" Emily said as they entered the main hallway of Gringotts. "They were much faster than a muggle rollercoaster! They just sort of caught me off guard at first..." she laughed.
"So am I done here? Can I go actually spend my money?" she said this like she had never actually spent money before. Which technically she hadn't... well, not wizarding money anyway...

"You don't say." Gerda snorted as the wizard boy came closer. Still wearing those dumb, dark glasses indoors, was he? Doubtful he needed 'em for seeing, like she did... and speaking of which, where had she put her spectacles?

The goblin frowned, not because of a customer (for once), but because she had misplaced her glasses. Her long fingers crawled around the mess of papers in front of her, searching for the exact spot where she had set them. As she searched, she shoved a thick packet of papers across the counter and toward the human.

"Fill those out if yeh want a vault. And tell me if yeh see me glasses." They would be the last place she had put them... but where was that?!


"Oh, a rollercoaster is one of those Muggle contraptions!" Amshel tittered, bubbly from their ride up. Yes, he had heard a few wizards make that same connection, but being unfamiliar with rollercoasters, he still had no idea what they were.

Silly humans. "All done! Yep yep!" Amshel waddled back around the counter and hopped on to his stool. He was about to wave the little girl off before he remembered one more thing.

"You're free to go... just as soon as you sign this ledger." He beamed and pushed a thick, maroon book with golden pages across the counter, pointing with a quill to a line where she should initial.

Jake's eyes narrowed behind his dark shades as the goblin got her 'tude on.

As the papers were slid towards him, Jake's eyes widened once more. UGH. READING. That sucked.

"Have you tried the bridge of your nose?" he tried helpfully, clamping his lips closed again so he wouldn't smile. But he couldn't keep his gob shut for long. "You should try contacts, like me."

Huh.

With that, Jake took out his own self inking quill and started filling out the papers, taking his time and leaving his sunglasses ON. Grrr, so many personal questions...

"Ok..." Emily said taking the quill and initialing where the gobiln was pointing.
She wasn't sure why she had to do this, but her mind was on other things.
She had a vault at Gringotts now! All she wanted to do was to run the the Leaky Cauldron to tell her sister.
"Thanks!" Emily said again "You were alot of help! Hope to see you my next trip to Gringotts!"
Emily gave one of her biggest smiles.
"Thanks again!" she said for a third time and, waving at the goblin, she skipped out of the bank, her purse full of gold, silver and bronze.

"The bridge of my nose," Gerda repeated, half-serious and half-mocking the smart aleck standing before her. She let out another little verbal toot of displeasure and continued her paper-rustling. "What the hell are contacts?"

The goblin only looked up from her paper at mention of that word and saw that the boy was finally filling out his paperwork. Good. She reached a finger up to scratch her head and then felt the goblin-made frame of her glasses resting up there, exactly where she had put them!

AHA!

"No problem! You were a great customer!" Amshel beamed and accepted the ledger back from the little witch, noting that she had indeed signed in all the right places. "Come back again anytime!"

He waved her off and once she had exited the hall, he went back to reading and editing a very long list of available and taken vaults. Work as usual.

"The bridge... of your... nose..." Jake repeated back again, keeping a straight face this time as he continued with the paperwork. "Contact lenses, my friend, are things you put in your eyes rather than wearing glasses all day."

Duh.

Anyway, enough of the 'tude. Jake focused more on his paperwork and eventually, finally, somehow got it done. "Here," he said, pushing it back to the goblin and seeing her spectacles. "You should keep those things on a chain 'round your neck if anything," Jake added.

Helen went in front of the counter to talk to the .......
She looked up to see who was there and to her surprise, it was a goblin!
Helen wouldnt let it get to her so she just spoke and acted as normal

She spoke "Hello, I would like to purchase a vault, the smallest one you've got."

Why was the small wizard repeating things? "I AM NOT DEAF," Gerda informed him loudly. "And I ain't your friend, neither." She was not about to put some kind of wizard-made lens inside of her precious, albeit failing, eyes, and definitely never on the recommendation of a child.

Stupid boy. She shook her wrinkly head several times and took to staring at the customer, now that her bifocals were back in place. It took him half a century to fill out the simple form, it seemed, and she snatched it back greedily the instant he was done.

Ignoring Mr. Morgan's latest retort, Gerda quickly scanned the document as if she were just itching to find some error within his vault request.

"What sort of items are you planning to keep in there, hmm?" she questioned the customer, looking down her long nose disdainfully. "Somefinks you want kept quiet? Why's that?"

Surprised, was she? Gerda let out a sigh and pushed a fresh vault request form across the counter.

"Fill 'er out. Got a wand, have you?" She eyed the little girl through slitted eyes. She looked Muggleborn. Muggleborns seldom had a clue about how to navigate a great, goblin-run bank like Gringotts.

"Thennnn whyyyy arrrre you shouuuutiiiiiing?" Jake responded just as loudly, and nice and slow as well. He figured that this was an old goblin, starting to generally fail.

His eyes narrowed behind his sunglasses when the goblin snatched the form back. "I wonder," he responded. "Why there is an option of 'none of your business' if you goblins go ahead and pry anyway..."

HMMMM.

"I have a reputation to uphold."

As an all 'round good guy. Duh.

Gerda would not rise to the bait of a child decades younger than herself. Instead she would reduce her eyes to evil-looking slits and channel all of her dislike for the boy into one long, deep glare.

"You can wonder all you want, boy, but you ain't gettin' no vault til you come clean with me."

Irritable grunt! She tapped one thick, yellowed fingernail on his application. "Or am I going to have yer reputation tested by our Head of Security?"

Yes, she would love to call in Sturnik. Sturnik was a strapping, handsome young goblin in her mind, perfectly shady and yet squeaky clean. Gerda approved of that goblin and his... tactics.

It was the boy here that she had a Problem with.

"I have my money, some books I would prefer to keep out of the reach of children and students, some items I have picked up on my travels that are highly valuable and... that's it," he said as quickly as he could without stuttering, and not exactly in his usual volume of speaking. He wasn't lying... really. Because he HAD picked up some very valuable stuff on his travels that he also didn't want to bring to school for... reasons. "I would prefer not to keep them in my Hogwarts dormitory. This establishment is more secure."

Regrettably.

"Err, yes yes I have got a wand, it's a 11 ¾ inch Maple Wood With A Core of A Unicorn Hair, I think?" Helen said stuttering on words in between.

AHA! He cracked! Good ole Gerda had known he would, and she let out a superior sniff to show that she knew best even as she scribbled the true contents of his vault on his form.

"O'course it's more secure, boy," the wizened bank worker grumbled as her quill made a soft scratching sound on his parchment. "More secure even than that Chamber O' Secrets Hogwarts has."

It was fact, according to goblinkind. Another fact was that Mr. Morgan's form was finished now and... oh, she still needed to see his wand before they could go make his first deposit.

"Yer wand," she barked, holding out a wrinkly hand, palm-up.
