| | |  Sugarplum's Sweet Shop
 Every child in Wizarding Britain knows that Sugarplum's is the place to be. You can smell the sticky sweetness and bursts of flavour as soon as you walk through the door, the little candy themed bell, enchanted to transform into a different type of candy every hour, will tinkle merrily to announce your arrival, but we won't be surprised if you don't notice it, after all your eyes have a rainbow of delectable sweets to feast on.
Shelves among shelves of different types of wizarding sweets are ranged in aisles before you. The shelves stretch up to the roof and big glass jars display every type of candy imaginable. Can't reach? No worries! Just say the type of candy out loud and the jar will float down to you, ready to scoop out the required amount. Everything is labeled, so it shouldn't be too hard to find what you're looking for. There are a stack of baskets to the right of the last shelf - go ahead and grab one if you need it! There are four gumball machines near the exit to the sweet shop. If you have any knuts in your pocket that you are just dying to get rid of, why not buy a few gumballs with them? All you have to do is place two knuts inside the little slot, turn the knob, and watch as the gumball travels down the maze and to the little compartment at the bottom.
Once you've finished your shopping, you need to escort yourself to the check out counter located on the right side of the store. The shopkeeper can usually be found behind the counter, scooping and weighing sweets for the customers ahead of you.
This shop is NOT STAFFED and has a NPC shopkeeper.

*Thankful to get away from most of his family Jacen walked in with his younger twin siblings Edmund and Ella. Edmund of course had a new book in his hand and not even a sweets shop could pull him away from it. Jacen and Ella on the other hand looked like deer in head lights. After a few moments Edmund sighed and reminded them why they were there.*
"Right, dads birthday present. What does he like again?" *Jacen asked as he held the back of Ella's shirt. The other twin was about to make a run for the walls of candy.*
"Cockroach Clusters..."*Edmund mumbled.*
"I think he wants five pounds of Crystallised Pineapple..."*Ella said pulling harder to get away from her older brother.*
"You want that El... What is the point of eating so much sugar?"
"It makes you feel happy and fun Ed, you might want to try it sometime." *Jacen said as he gave in and followed Ella to the wall of sweets. Edmund sighed and followed them while still reading.*
"That is just because the endorphins from the sugar sends you into a sugar high."
"Edmund, do you remember when you asked me to tell you when you sound like an old man? This would be one of those times. An eight year old should not know what endwar-whats-its are. I don't even know what they are."
*Edmund rolled his eyes and went to get the clusters for his father himself.*
"El! They have fudge."
*Ella nodded and she headed that way while Jacen looked around at the other shoppers. He was wondering if any of them would be going to school with him?*

Elisa would soon be entering her final year at Hogwarts. That was one of the many thoughts she had been enduring, aside from the previous term. The last term was a painful one, but she was taking it by the day with the outcome. She had shopping to do and being outside helped take some of the other thoughts away. After the majority of her shopping was done, she decided to get some sweets.
Stepping into the Sugarplum's Sweet Shop, she browsed along the aisles. She smiled softly remembering some of the stuff Alana liked. Now what could she get for herself?

Although he had bought his shopping supplies for the upcoming year a week ago, Dorian could be found wandering around Diagon Alley in order to avoid his family. For they kept trying to get in contact to congratulate him for becoming the new Head Boy. It was embarrassing really. He never was the type who boasted about his achievements and so he had kept his badge at home.
As he stood in front of Sugarplums, the seventh year entered and didn't bother getting a basket. He did not have much money left anyway. As he browsed the shelves, the Ravenclaw saw one of his House mates. Should he say hi? Or was she too busy deciding on a sweet? It was probably more awkward to say nothing when you knew each other so as he stood next to her, looking at the shelves he greeted with a "Hi Elisa" Which felt too empty so he added "What are you getting?"

Wait. Oh. She was one of the hyperactive kids he was talking about?? "Almonds or walnuts... what about peanuts? Pecans?" There were other kinds of nuts besides just two, after all. Including the nuts who attended and ran Hogwarts, but he wasn't about to eat them, because no to cannibalism. "I suppose I can't avoid you forever, huh? Wonder if they have ones specifically marketed to increase brain activity." Also she was way too pretty for him to avoid, just for the record.

It had been a while since Elisa smiled genuinely, even so softly. Certain memories threatened to blend with other memories. Her thoughts were briefly interrupted at a familiar voice. "Oh, hi Dorian." Her voice was unsteady for a moment before she turned to face him. He was a longtime remembered face from all the way back to their Primary school days. She was calmer now. "I was thinking of getting some Nougats but the other selections are too tempting to get just that.. how about you?" Maybe he had some suggestions.

His eyes were looking at the chocolate frog collection and went briefly to Elisa as she greeted back. He had been collecting the cards even before he started his first year at Hogwarts and he had quite a collection. Which meant that it was getting more and more difficult to get a card he did not have yet. The chocolate frog card club was the best place to trade but he didn't know if he had enough time this year. That with his NEWTs coming up and his new responsibilities as Head Boy. He sighed softly and turned to the other Ravenclaw. "I haven't had nougats in years!" it wasn't that he disliked it but because he never thought of buying it. "But i'm going with a box of liquorice wands" he said as he picked up a box. "If you have enough money with you why not buy more than just one thing?" he reached over and picked up a paper wrapped chocolate bar and held it up "Chocolate and nougat aren't a bad combination" he laughed. "You can also melt the chocolate and dip the nougat in it. Thats what i always did"

"You just go easy with those foods, make sure you eat fruit with them, and a moderate happy meal." Not hard, actually, but the sweets were irresistible. Right? "I live around Muggles half the time I travel along with my mother, I have to read something on the meanwhile..." Shrugging, she took a few chocolate bars.

He supposed he should drop her a letter to see how she was doing sometime soon. Eyeing the fudge display he tried to decide what exactly it was he wanted.
Happy for Morgan that he was getting his wand, the fifteen-year-old decided she would surprise him with some sweets, so Chloe entered the shop and picked up a basket. What did she want to get him though, that was the question?
Walking around she couldn't decide what all to get. She knew she wanted to get him some of his favorites, but maybe she could surprise him with some new things too. Smelling the fudge before seeing it her own sweet tooth took over and she decided maybe she could pick some up for herself as well. "Find anything good?" yes, she had seen him standing there looking at the fudge, but she didn't think he saw her and of course since she was starting to see people from school her smile got placed on her face and it stayed there to greet anyone and everyone.

Eron wandered and wandered in Diagon Alley and got to nowhere with his chores. His parents wanted him to buy his school supplies but he ends up in the areas that had no supplies at all. He did enjoy his trip in the Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment. He saw a lot of things that he would buy with his money.... sort of. Anyway he will get to those list of things (like school books and parchment) soon but for now he needed something to cool his head off.
He entered the place all smiles and enthusiasm. This was a nice place from the outside to the inside. It smells like sugary heaven and isn't that what all fifteen year old boys like? He eyed the variety of menu this place have and can't seem to settle on one candy. He ended up buying two because.... uh... priorities? The dark chocolate fudge and the truffles.
YUUUUM...

It wasn’t as if she didn’t usually need to make at least one trip to Diagon Alley during summer break. At least, there was usually some amount of new school supplies that Carys needed to buy, and possibly updating her uniforms just because. Mostly, though, she was just there to spend time during a break from U-17 stuff, and, as her mum was busy at the studio and her dad was at some potion trial thing, she had a lot of time to waste, and enough money that she figured she could probably get a bit of shopping done while she was at it.
In any case, her first stop once actually inside the alley wasn’t exactly school-related. Unless feeling a bit sugar-deprived after most of last term in France, although at least she’d gotten to try macarons at the ball at the end of term. Chocolate was always a good distraction, she’d thought upon walking into Sugarplums, and there was where she’d headed without too much thought. Nearly brushing past the entirely too familiar form of Eron as she focused on the candy.

Cimple stuff but he knew he was going to share this with his siblings when he gets back home. His sister, who is a beginner at baking would love this dark chocolate fudge and he is hopeful that she will replicate this one. Eron loves sweets and tea after his meal. This was something he got from his father. His tray is now filled with half truffles and the other half being fudge. Is it too much? Perhaps so but that won't stop him from buying it.
He is now ready to pay for all of this and then maybe do some school supply shopping.... whatever he needed. He turned and standing a few candies away was Carys. An automatic smile formed on his lips as he marched his way near her. Fixing his hair a bit and cleared his throat. "Fancy meeting you here" he said. Not his best line but Eron was a very awkward kid so that's the best he could think of. "Hello, Carys" he added.

Cole had left his father and sister in a heated argument about appropriate clothes in Madam Malkins to wander on his own with huge relief. He had aldready gotten measured for new robes and other school neccessities by the shopkeeper. Now it was his sisters turn and it took forever and was probably giving his father a headache. With pocket money in his shorts pocket Cole went up and down the south street window browsing as he went, feeling his mood rise as he stopped to chat with some fellow Hogwartians here and there as he continuted on.
Seeing the Sugarplums sweet shop sign up ahead his mood rose even more and the blond youth was smiling from ear to ear when Cole entered the sugary dreamland. Now what to buy? Truth be told, Ewan’s answer was a little more complicated than the question seemed although the answer, overall, was yes. His summer this year had somehow gotten so much better, surprisingly better than last years summer even. “You have family in Tenerife? Nice”. Ewan really was awed sometimes by the family that the children at Hogwarts have everywhere around the world, even him, himself, with his newly acquired family in Canada. “My summer has pretty amazing so far, thanks. I’ve just spent it with a few friends and then I’m flying back home to Canada” he continued, a wide grin on his face now as he started to talk about Canada and his family out there. They really did change his life last year.
Ewan couldn’t help but give a friendly smile at the younger boy in front of him now, eager to show that he was in fact friendly. It was strange how he seemed to hang around with a lot of girls at Hogwarts, his mind sometimes telling him that he just wasn’t one of those people that guys like. Maybe it was because he wasn’t overly fond of quidditch and a lot of the guys at Hogwarts seemed to live and breath it. Whatever the reason was, today, he was going to try his best to be his usual, friendly self and just wait and see how Cole reacts.
With a small nod, he put down the chocolate frog he was inspecting and picked up another, his eyes trying to divine what card there would be inside. “I only really have a small collection of cards to be honest but I do collect them” He really didn’t eat all that much chocolate which didn’t really help when collecting the cards. Even the frog he planned on buying today was for his Aunty and not him but he figured she’d let him keep the card “I’m guessing you collect them?” Most people at Hogwarts seemed to be collecting them. Yet another thing he couldn't exactly talk about to the guys at Hogwarts.

Chocolate was important. If she hadn’t also had Quidditch, Carys would likely have nearly thought of it as a religion, but Quidditch was there. All the sayings about Quidditch being a religion really did seem true, but chocolate was good too. Chocolate and some new drawing pencils before the new term, since she’d already been resigned to the fact there likely wouldn’t be an art studio at Hogwarts quite as amazing as the one they’d been able to use at Beauxbatons. She still had her paintings she’d done in France, aside from the few she’d copied for her sister and Nora’s use, but back to chocolate…and the distraction that seemed to appear almost as soon as she’d stopped near the fudge. The voice that was awfully familiar, that belonged to the person she’d felt all sorts of complicated feelings for and still now, even after a talk with her sister. A talk that had also included the revelation that Headmaster Trent apparently trusted them with responsibilities. And Quidditch, as usual.
But back to the complicated part, as she turned to face Eron, hoping he hadn’t noticed the brief moment when she’d been startled by his greeting. “Hey Eron…are you shopping for sweets too?,” she asked, flushing the tiniest bit as her gaze kept flickering to a spot just below his own eyes and nose.
Definitely complicated.
