| | Security Offices From one of the doors in the main hall, you can reach the Gringotts Security offices.A long and bare marble corridor, looking much the same as several other corridors in Gringotts, leads to several small offices and to a larger room at the end of the corridor. Generally if you find yourself here, it will be under escort. The Gringotts Security Force is made up of Goblins and Wizards alike. In the main room, there is a wooden bench along one wall where anyone may wait and old fashioned, temporary jail cells along another.
There are also several desks and aside from the cells, the holding room is actually a fairly cheerful place. Security implements of all kinds fill extensive racks and there are several portraits which link from here to other important places in the wizarding world, including the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic.
This area of the Bank is not for sightseeing, not unless you feel like volunteering for probity probe testing. OOC: While you are allowed to roleplay here, please be sure your character has official business and has entered the bank through the entrance way and main hall. It is best not to post here without your character being invited to do so. |

And with that, she disappeared back up to the entrance area to greet any other lost souls. In the meantime, Gideon just watched and followed. Adam, eh? So he wasn't the only new hire? Well this fellow seemed alright enough . . . probably around his nieces' age, which means, he wondered vaguely if he knew them. Nonetheless, now was not the time for idle chatter; there would be more time on that later. "Gideon MacNeil," he said to the Bank Manager. Female... hmm... odd. Holding his hand out to the boss, he nodded. "Why yes, that's why I applied here. To work." Duh. He hoped she didn't mind sarcasm, because if she did, well she was just gonna have to get used to it. Either that or he was going to have to, Merlin forgive him, censor himself! She turned to Harpy not meaning to disregard her. "Thank you Harpy." she gave the goblin a rare smile. It was rare to see female goblins in the bank and Tumplin took it as a personal accomplishment that she had so many hard working female goblins at her bank.
She watched Harpy scamper off before returning her attention to the man standing before her. Oh how she loathed the smart alicky ones. They worked her nerves real good. Her eyebrow raised into her hairline, "And work you shall do." she told him sternly. "Mr. MacNeil." she made a mental note to keep an eye on him and make sure he didn't have any downtime. Idle hands and all that. Quote:

And, apparently the older man was new, too. Gideon.
Hehe. Gideon had a sense of humor, from what Adam took of it. He liked him. Yup. She shook hands with the other man and gave him a satisfactory nod. She walked over to Sturnik's desk and pulled out the personnel files for the new hires. She leafed through them both picking up some key words and making sure they had gone through the security protocol. She laid them down on the desk and gave them both a good once over. "Well you two picked the worst possible time to start work." She had picked the start date, but that was neither here nor there. "I've got a dragon loose somewhere between vault 1,000 and 1,200. The board has told us we have to expand. Our mint is down." She took a deep breath. "So gentlemen where would you like to start?" she asked with a small smile.

Erm....was he supposed to apologize for that? It wasn't like HE decided to start working NOW. Though, he couldn't wait to start here, so he didn't mind. Even with the dragon loose. "Dragon?" It wasn't so much that Adam was surprised, but he had thought that the dragons were always kept under good restraints. What did 'loose' apply, exactly? Should they expect it to burst through the floor at any moment?
And...he..had no idea where he'd like to start. Wherever he was supposed to? "Wherever 'm needed, I suppose." But it wasn't like he could speak for Gideon.

Hmm... Yea, okay, like he controlled when he decided to be hired? Dragon loose? He didn't do creatures. But mints on the other hand... the sarcastic mindset wanted to know what kind of mints ... you know, wintergreen, fresh mint, peppermint . . . ? But the serious, more knowledgeable side gave him a distinct feeling that Ms Tumplin was not talking about the kind of mint that freshened your breath. "Mints are good." Yup, yup. He's picked where he wanted to start.

She nodded she was liking this Adam more and more. Not that she hated wizards, she could just run her bank quite fine without them. But if she thought like that she wouldn't have her job. "Well Adam I want you on the excavation team. We have 6 months to expand 100 vaults. We've already hit iron and ore and its going to be tough going." She pulled out a watch and looked at it with a frown she placed it back in the pocket of her Gringotts vest. "Is that something you want to work on?" she asked. Of course she was going to assign him to wherever she needed him to be but it was at least nice to make a show of asking. Quote:

He's picked where he wanted to start. Her sharp green eyes turned to the other one. He was still being smart. "Goblin mints are the best in the world and we here at the London branch have the biggest mint. And we here produce over 50% of the wizarding gold in the world." She didn't care what those goblins in Egypt said. "So don't be smart about that." she told him sternly. "You Mr. MacNeil will be in charge of tracking and subduing our runaway dragon. She's a baby so she should be easy enough to capture." she told him with a smile. She wasn't going to mention that the dragon was a hybrid they had been breeding. He would find that out soon enough.

Adam tapped his thumbs on the outside of his pockets as Tumplin explained his job. Riiight. "Sure." He could totally do that.
...Wait...Gideon got the dragon?! He...he kinda wanted that... Oh, well.

| *snorts* This gonna be funn XD YesJess! | Captain Goggles | Mama Badger | Eva's Soul Sister | An OG™ | It's all in the Numbers Having busied himself with staring at some dirt that had lodged itself under his thumbnail (which ultimately meant picking at it), Gideon was barely aware of Tumplin's increased liking for his colleague as she gave him the task of excavation. Bleh... that sounded BORING anyway! He wanted to work in the mint with the mooo-lahh!
But what? Yes, of course he knew that Gringotts was responsible for producing much of the Wizarding money... Right on top of his top ten list of things not to know. Blah ... blah ... blah... for a goblin, she sure did ramble a lot.
...
UH what/!? His light eyes bulged slightly as he came to awareness with what she was saying. HIM? Track and subdue and unruly dragon?! Did she not realize his past history with magical creatures? A baby dragon was ROWDY and HYPER and ... OH NOES!!! She was trying to KILL HIM!!!
But his ambitious Slytherin side would not get befuddled by some bossy female goblin. NOPE. He was going to go in there with pride and do this thing. "Right. Got it. Catch and subdue a dragon." He could do this... maybe.

Skye walked in. She was scared because she never did anything bad before. She didn't know what to do. She walked in and loved the look of the area. It was pretty cool she thought. She was scared. "Hel-Hello. Um..One of the goblins told me to come here because I said I wanted to exchange $4000 USD. I came to Gringotts before and exchanged money. I found the money (which was hiding behind my school supplies list.) It's actually $400 USD. I didn't mean $4000 USD." She said in a nervous, scared voice. "I didn't to mean to cause any trouble. I accidentally said $4000 USD instead of $400 USD." She was so scared she wasn't sure if they will still let her go to attend Hogwarts because of this incident.

Sturnik looked up as a little witch was ushered into the security offices. He was supposed to be working with the mining team, but this was a nice break from the mines. He pointed to a chair for the girl to sit in. He had the transaction notes so he knew what was going on. He climbed up and sat down on the end of his desk so he was eye level with the girl. "$4,000 or $400 is no matter. You came into the bank and exchanged money. Then you leave and just happen to come back with more money that you found." he said. Nope that didn't sound suspicious at all. "Where did you get the money?" he asked her directly.

Skye was scared. She has this gut feeling she was going to be in big, big trouble. But, she's being honest with all her answers. "It was in my pocket with my school supplies. It's a pocket that I never use yet somehow I put it in there. I...remember my mother putting money in a pocket but she nev-never told me which pocket." Skye said in a tone that sounded like she was going to cry. "I didn't mean any trouble (if she am in any). I didn't know. My parents never told me. They don't care that I'm going to Hogwarts. My mom put all the money in my pocket (and the other pocket that I never use; she knows I don't use it) and they told me to go get my things. I have no other siblings to tell me it was there. I just didn't know it was in there. It's a pocket I never use." She had tears in her eyes and she knows it isn't a good start. She has this feeling she will get in trouble and she won't be able to go to Hogwarts. She apologizes sincerely and a lot because this doesn't look good at all. "Am...am I in trouble?" She says with a quivering voice. She waits for a response....
