Rene stepped to the back of the store to the counter and waited for her turn. She had her new broom and service kit and was going to have her pads owled to her after the store was restocked. She looked back at Rex to see If looked like he was thinking about what to do next.

"Thank you," Maggie said with a smile as she pushed the packages over the counter, "Have a good day."

It really was beautiful.
"That's all, 10 galleons and 5 sickles, right?" he smiled at the shopkeep and grabbed some money out his pocket.

Wow, this kid was good. Internship, maybe? JUST KIDDING. Maybe one day. Sigh. As Maggie began wrapping the broom, she nodded with a smile. "Yep, that'll be it," she said as she slid the packaged broom across the counter.

Maggie brought everything up to the counter for the girl and started packaging it. "That'll be 12 Galleons, please," she said as she factored in the ordering and delivery in her head.

Simon nodded in acknowledgement and acceptance of the amount, reaching a hand into his pocket to pull out his collection of coins. Quietly counting out 8 sickles, he handed over the money before taking the wrapped package and one of the offered cookies. "Thank you," he replied with a smile before turning and leaving the shop to continue his errands.

Kyle walked up to the front end, stopping at the counter, she smiled.

Kyle had no idea what it was going to cost for the new Twigger 101, the rule book, quidditch through the ages, practice robes, goggles, and broomstick servicing kit as well. She walked, arms ladened towards the front of the store. But she was glad she was seventeen years old for one.

Selina went to the front counter and all of the things she was going to buy tumbled out of her hands and on the counter. She started to apologize and gather everything into a neat pile. "Sorry, I'm just nervous. I'm getting my broom today and I'm just anxious."

In the pile sat a quaffle to replace her old one, a broom servicing kit, Quidditch goggles, and two sets of practice robes in Gryffindor colors. She then put up the Firebolt 600. It would be her pride and joy. She was so excited.

Luna_Midnight 04-13-2011 07:19 PM

Sky grabbed a Twigger 101 and a broom servicing kit, and walked over to the counter and said Hello! I have a Twiger 101 and a broom servicing kit... She set them onto the counter and asked How much will that be? Pulling out her wallet from her purse...

With Josh's seventh birthday less then two months away, Simon had been debating what to get his best friend for it. It wasn't like the other boy would be interested in books or anything remotely similiar that he himself might be interested in. Then thinking of their mutual love of quidditch, the newly made seventh year found himself in the shop having to do all with the sport. After some deliberation, Simon had opted to get Josh a new beater's bat, knowing the one he used had seen better days before had been used for a few years and with the item in his grasp walked up to the counter to pay for it.

Hearing a familiar voice of appology, Simon looked up the gathered line to see the voice indeed coming from Selina, the form of Kyle just in front of her and he couldn't help but smile at the both of them. "Hey Selina...Kyle," he greeted them both as they waited patiently to be helped.

Selina tried to regather all that had tumbled on the counter so she could wait for her place in line behind Kyle. Her new broom in hand made all of her reflexes that usually were upheld on the Pitch fall away. Only one other thing made her fumble like she just had- Simon.

Then she heard a voice say her name... Oh Bugger. It would be just the little second years luck that her Captain or old Captain depending on what the turn out was in the following year for Quidditch was would call her name. She had just started to become a fully functioning human being around him toward the end of the term. Now he had seen her fumble and he was sure to think that she was once again the klutzy little girl she had tried so hard to erase.

Turning around with a blush that matched her shade of red hair Selina said, "Oh, um, hey Simon. Enjoying your summer vacation." Maybe he wouldn't notice the trip up.

"Have you done anything - er - fun this summer yet?" She asked both Simon and Selina smiling over to them cheeks reddening slightly.

Simon hadn't noticed the fumble, only heard what came after so he wasn't fully aware of the reason behind the blush that crept across the younger Gryffindor's face. Or the pale rosy coloring that graced the Ravenclaw's complexion as she turned towards them as well for that matter briefly forgetting the moments of uncomfortabilty the last time they had been in the same place.

"Actually its been kinda nice so far," the captain admitted to Selina's question, the slower pace and ability for more freedom did have its perks at times. Not to mention being almost of age did give him other options for things. "Nothing too overly fun or big plans just hanging out and flying," he added in answer to Kyle's inquiry though flying was exciting in its own way. "What about you two?"

"I would love the ability to just fly, and hang 'round really sounds brilliant." She kept smiling when she explained where she would have to go that summer. "I've got to go to a family reunion in France sometime - but other than that, just staying 'round Diagon Alley area..." she smiled softly, looking over to him.

"Oh nice er - beaters bat." she commented still smiling over to him.

Ahhh, what a crime to be as old as Maggie was. Not that she was that old, but old enough to go on. "Can I help you with something, sir?" she asked, her pale blonde eyebrows raising ever-so-slightly.

She smiled gain as he said the bat was a birthday gift. "Well, I hope that the birthday goes well," she smiled happily. She couldn't help but smile at the fact that he looked a little taken aback by the fact he was called sir...she would have been taken aback if she were called Ma'am. So she understood full heartedly.

Selina looked between the two older teens who had fallen into conversation. She had no idea where to even begin with the two. Being that she was twelve now she was certain that she should have at least something profound to say. Yet nothing came to her lips. Why was she so quiet? It wasn't in her nature to be so quiet.

Finally finding some lion courage she said, "Just flying a lot at our Pitch. Getting ready for tryouts for next term. Nothing too exciting."

Serena stood by the counter, she had to get out ASAP. She was supposed to be meeting her parents 5 minutes ago. They were going to kill her. She drew out the Tutshill Tornadoes poster she wanted to buy and waited, hoping the queue would move fast!

Selina beamed at the shop keeper. Handing over the correct change Selina could feel her excitement bursting at the seams. She finally had her own broom. Not her father's old broom for practice, not the school's rental broom, her own broom. The feeling was like non other in the world. Selina could finally be a true Quidditch player because she had her own broom. The broom that was in her hand was going to be her closet companion. Like her wand they were going to know each other inside and out. They were partners.

"Thank you so much ma'am. Here you are!"

"Thank you," she smiled handing the shop keeper the 15 Galleons and 11 sickles she smiled. In her mind she was still thinking that it was indeed a steep amount, especially since her bag felt significantly lighter. But not to a point where it would feel too significantly lighter in the least bit.

Kyle almost missed what he said and smiled over, "No plans so far - I was considering heading over to Florean Fortescues and you know getting a spot of Lemondrop ice cream" she smiled over to him.

Kyle as most Hogwarts students knew, was a lemon-head she loved all things lemon flavored for some odd reason. Then turning to Simon she smiled again, "if you don't have any plans you can join - really its no problem besides its awfully warm today." she offered as she stepped closer to the exit.
