Reaching deep into his jeans pocket, Jake found his muggle wallet and opened it up to place it on the counter. On each side he had a card for ID. On the left was his muggle provisional drivers' license (which he'd JUST got that very day) and on the other was a specialised ID card from a Duelling event, where he'd had to put forward his date of birth, and now he had this uber cool Dark looking ID card for wizards. Impossible to fake.

"I turned 17 today, in fact," he pointed out, drawing the lady's attention to the date even further. He smiled widely at the broom she was wrapping up, and then looked around. "Could I grab a broomstick servicing kit as well, please?" Jake added, jerking a thumb over his shoulder to imply he'd forgotten to grab one on the way.

Alex made his way to the counter with a content smile on his face. He had just bought the fastest broom, heh that was going to be loads of fun.

Wondering when he would be able to try it out he reached in to his backpocket to pick out his wallet. Ohh, he didn't know how much it cost... Not that it really mattered anyways.

Maggie put the coins in the till and headed back into the back room. Gosh, why was she so annoyed today? Oh, well. The girl paid and now she'd leave. Maggie had more important things to do.

Wow, that was far more than Maggie expected! But a sale was a sale - and from the sound of it, it would be good for the girl and her brother too. "That's 14 Galleons, 16 Sickles," she said as she wrapped everything up.

Maggie smiled as she read over the two ideas he produced. "Of course, and Happy Birthday," she said as she grabbed a kit off the back wall as well. "That brings your total up to 12 Galleons, 13 Sickles, if you please," she added.

Maggie wrapped up the broom as she came up to the counter. Finally, she said, "That'll be 7 Galleons and 14 Sickles, please," as she slid the broom back across the counter.

Alex nodded and put 7 Galleons and 14 Sickles on the counter with a wide smile. "Thank you, madam." he said happily. Aaand he had just gotten his broom for Hogwarts. Score!

"Thanks ma'am," Jake grinned, watching the lady look at his IDs and grab the servicing kit. This was so cool... he'd tried to save up the money for a top of the range broom and had been bitterly disappointed when he didn't manage it.

But then he'd seen the new prices.

And now he was ecstatic.

The young man fished out a handful of galleons from his jacket pocket and counted out fourteen galleons. "Here y'are. Keep the change," he grinned at her as he held out the money.

Awwwww, Maggie smiled as the boy handed her the coins. "Why, thank you dear. Have a lovely day," she said. My, my. First impressions were quite deceiving, eh? Maggie chuckled to herself lightly as she put the money in the till.

Evelyn stared as the woman left...without giving her change. WHAT?!

Her eyes widened for a moment before a look of irritation crossed her features. Well this was just brilliant now wasn't it. Now she had to wait for the woman to come back before complaining. Ugh. Pushing the paper bag to the side, the Slytherin crossed her arms on the counter and leaned her head down gently on them, a small sigh escaping her.

Shop lady wasn't getting rid of her yet.

Sheesh. Good thing her mother had given her extra money. She pulled out her money and handed them to the shopkeeper. "Fourteen Galleons and sixteen Sickles." She said with a smile and watched her wrap them up. "Thank you very much!"

Woohooooo! Broooooooom.

"You too, ma'am," Jake grinned, taking his purchases and wallet before pushing his sunglasses down over his eyes again. That done, and with everything with him that he owned, Jake left the shop. Time to go home, drop off his broom and then come on back.

Maggie came back out from the back room and frowned as she saw the girl still standing there. She did a few more things, just because she could, and reluctantly headed over to her. "I'm sorry, did you need something else?" she asked in a fakely sweet tone.

Maggie wrapped up the broom and carefully slid it towards the woman across the counter. "That'll be 8 Galleons and 2 Sickles, pleas," she said with a small smile.

Oh goody, there she was.

Leaning to the side so she could get a better view to stare at the lady, and hopefully make her walk over here faster, Evelyn smiled widely and stood up when she finally did. THAT took longer than she expected.

"Yes, I do." she said in a just as fake sweet tone. "Those four little bronze coins you owe me." Hmm yes, did she know what Evelyn was talking about? Otherwise the Slytherin was going to be here for the rest of the day! Teehee.

"Thank you very much," Elinor smiled, passing over Nine galleons. Gingerly lifting the broom off the counter, her eyes flitted to the crowd of students, then back to the shopkeeper. "I know I couldn't do it," she laughed, then bid the woman good day as she turned from the counter, not bothering to request her change.

Nimrodel smiled and said Okay thank you and have a flighting day!Nimrodel loved to add those funny words at the end of each bye it was so much fun.

Maggie pulled the broom over the counter to inspect before looking up at the girl at her question. "Yes. Altogether the best I can give you is 10 Galleons - will that be alright?" she asked, waiting for her response before she set to engrave it.

Maggie rose and eyebrow at the girl without breaking her composure before saying coolly, "Apologies, I didn't realize you couldn't count," she said as she slid four knuts across the counter and turning away from her once more.

Maggie looked at everything on the counter and totaled it up as she red the note and set it aside. "Altogether that'll be about 15 Galleons and 10 Knuts - is that alright?" she asked. Usually she didn't ask if a price was okay because they were posted, but since engravings were a new, up-and-coming fad they didn't yet have a set price.

Yes thats alright she paid 15 Galleons and 10 Knuts.your cookies are very good joey told the shop keeper.

Evelyn kept her mouth shut. It was a very, very hard task to do but nothing good would come out of it. Taking the coins, once the woman turned around the girl made a face at her before rolling her eyes and heading straight towards the door.

She seriously hoped the rest of the woman's day was terrible. Pffft.

Maggie took the mmoney and put it in the till before setting the machine with a flick of her wand. "Thank you, my dear," she said with a smile as she packaged everything else up and then finally pulling up the finished broom. "Look okay?" she asked holding it up.

It looks wonderful she said with a smile.She took the bag and walk out the door.

Kay followed Maggie up to the counter and layed her other things on the top. Her two magazines, Bludgers and Broomsticks and Quidditch International, and the beater's bat. Smiling at Maggie as she watched her.

Sheridan nodded, yes she nodded, tis perfect she grinned, counting out the money for the engraving, so she nodded again, could I have "Sheridan Smith" engraved apon it in a cursive script she said, looking at her father who had just appeared. Stupid man. He nodded curtly, before taking out his own wallet and counting out the coins, he took her purse out of her hand and put it back in the bag, so how much will that be in total? He asked, looking at the other stock the woman had behind her

"So you're a beater then?" Said Willow to the girl at the counter. "I'd love to be a chaser though I've never played quidditch before... Do you know how much those magazines are? Please say it's less than a galleon. That's all I've got before I go to Gringotts. Oops, I'm blabbering on now aren't I?"
