Lila took the change. "Have a nice day," she said smiling as she exited the shop.

Jessie quickly rushed to the counter. She had read a little about Quidditch and it seemed really exciting. She only wished first years were allowed their own brooms. She waited her turn in line patiently. Once she got to the front, she greeted the shopkeeper politely but eagerly, "Good afternoon! I'm hoping to get a Rule Book, Quidditch Through the Ages, and Quidditch World!"

Maggie gathered up everything and packaged it up. "It's 10 Galleons, 3 Sickles, and 3 Knuts," she said with a smile.

Jessie quickly got out a galleon and ten sickles. She placed it neatly on the counter and said, "Thank you, have a great day! Keep the change!"

She then smiled, picked up her bag, and left the store, careful not to bump into anyone or anything on her way out.

brooms?

Even though the school letter said that first years are not allowed their own broomsticks, Ruby was contemplating. Why couldn't she have one and keep it just to look at? It's not like she was going to do anything wrong. She couldn't decide; she knew for sure she wanted a broomstick servicing kit, though, for when she was able to have her own broom. And since she wanted to get involved in activities, she decided to buy "Quidditch Through the Ages" to read up on the wizarding sport. She headed to the counter with those 2 purchases, deciding she would decide about buying a broom later.

Maggie looked up when a girl came up to the counter. She barely looked old enough to be there by herself let alone buy a broom. "That all, dear? 1 Galleon, 7 Sickles, 28 Knuts," she said, packing it all up and putting it in a bag for her.

Maggie didn't need much thought for the little items so she promptly answered the girl in front of her with a smile, "That's 1 Galleon, 8 Sickles, and 10 Knuts. And please, have a cookie." Heh heh. Maggie sure loved giving her cookies away. And everyone loved them! Genius chef AND shopkeeper.

Alice decided she wanted an nimbus 7003, so she bought that and a Broomstick Servicing Kit and then she went to the counter and paid, leaving the store with a big smile on her face.

As a boy of probably thirteen or so came into the shop, Maggie bustled around to gather up all the items on his list, very happy to do so. As she was wrapping them all, she said pleasantly, "That's going to come to 10 Galleons, 15 Sickles, and 6 Knuts," with a smile to the boy.

Rubiey practically ran through the door of QQS, which was by far he favourite shop in Diagon Alley. She stopped, staring at the brooms that surrounded her. She smiled as she walked past them all. She knew everything about each broom; from the type of wood they were made from, to their top speed. She couldnt wait to buy her first broom, but her mother had forbidden her to buy her own broomstick until she was in her second year.

Sighing, she walked over to the stack of magazines, and picked up all 5 lastest copies.

She strode over to the counter, flashed a smile at the shop keeper. "How much?" She asked sweetly.

Maggie looked over at the girl who approached the counter and counted the magazines in her hands. "For the five? 2 Galleons, 9 Knuts," she answered with a smile as she gently took them from the girl's hand and bagged them for her.

Alexis entered the shop and looked around curiously. She noticed the brooms and different sorts of quidditch balls for sale. There where magazines and books on the sport for sale as well as all sorts of quidditch gear. Alexis saw these things, then turned around and walked out.

Riley reached his pocket looking for his money "Here you go, mam" he gave the shopkeeper the exact money "Thank you for your help and have a good day" he smiled and took the wrapping before he left the shop

Rubiey dug the money out of her purse, which was the shape of a snitch, and handed it to the lady. Taking the bag from her, she smiled, and said "thank you.", and without further ado, pulled Which Broomstick? out of the bag, and wandered out of the shop.

By the end of her sentence, her eyes looked up, a bit perturbed more than anything. She was in the middle of the best part: describing the first and original Snitch. Which of course, was that silly fat freaky looking bird. What a joke!

Closing the book and setting it back on the shelf, she turned to look back at the worker. "Actually, you could." She flashed a cunning & wolfish grin. After all, she did come in this shop to well.. shop. "Could you get me one Beaters Bat & a Quaffle?" The last time she had practiced with her father, the bludger went haywire and destroyed her bat. Now that she was here she might as well get a new one. Taking a moment, she looked at the nearest shelf and picked up a copy of Quidditch International Magazine. "Oh, and also your latest broom. The Twigger 101." Wait.. she needed a permission slip for that, right?

Putting a finger up, as if to pause the scene going on at that moment, she turned around and started to dig her long fingers into her rucksack, looking for the paper her father signed. He was busy finding some Rogue Wizard in Budapest. The things he did for that crazy Ministry, she though. Feeling it slip into her fingers, she pulled it out with a great wide grin. "My father couldn't be here, so I hope this consent form will do justice for me to get the broom." She handed out the folded and crumpled paper to the shop keep.

With all of the girls items in toe, she led her up through the shop to the gleaming mahogany counter, laden with cookies, magazines, business cards, and newspaper clippings. As she wrapped up the purchases, Maggie said, "Altogether that's going to come to 13 Galleons, 15 Sickles, and 5 Knuts, if you please."

Maggie nodded with a smile and headed out to get the broom. She was out and back rather quickly and was soon wrapping up everything for the girl. "Altogether it's 10 Galleons, 7 Sickles, and 11 Knuts," she said with a smile as she pushed the packaged items over.

city_girl_95 08-20-2010 08:43 PM

Okidoki then Amy nodded, pulling out the sickles and galleons and placing them on the counter, she pushed them across and took her packaged items, and placed all but the broom into her madame malkins bag and held the broom under her arm, thank you she called, before exiting the shop

Alexei stood in line at the counter, a Cleansweep 39 in her hands that she couldn't stop staring at. It was so much better than her old broom. She took her money out from her pocket and prepared to pay.

Maggie smiled as she gently lifted the broom from the girl's hands to wrap. As she was doing that, she added, "It'll be 5 Galleons, 6 Sickles," with a smile. After it was wrapped, she pushed the package back over to the girl's side of the counter since she already seem attached to the broom.

Kaytone 08-21-2010 04:53 PM

Kay had followed the shopkeeper to the counter. 'wow there was alot of people.' She thought. It was Quidditch thou. Standing waiting she tried to tell if there was anything else she needed. 'no dont think so.' robes, bat, and the book. Yep that was it for now. She moved along with the line until she made it to the counter. "Thank you for your help with the book." She said. "How much will it cost to have it sent and everything else here?" She asked pulling out her pouch.
