Cilla headed for the counter with a copy of "Quidditch Through the Ages" in one hand and a toy broom in the other. She had in her coat pocket the correct change to purchase the items.

Whilst many others were on holiday and relaxing or taking off days during the summer, Erica was the busiest she ever was all-year-round at work. She didn't mind though it mean income.

With a smile the shopkeeper beckoned the young looking customer forward. "Hello, dear. May I help you?" She assumed the girl was ready to pay considering she was heading her direction, and if not well then she was more than free to skim and scan some more.

Cilla placed the two items on the counter. "I'd like to purchase these two items, thanks," she replied.

Well of course. Erica observed the two items and then double checked her price list before responding. "Sure. That'll be 20 sickles and 28 knuts." Unless, there was something else the girl wanted? Or perhaps not. All the while Erica's smile was still worn.

Cilla reached into her pocket and pulled out 20 sickles and 28 knuts which she handed over to the shopkeeper. "There you are. I think that's the correct change," she said.

That was the perfect amount. "It sure is." Erica placed the money away and then handed the two items back towards the young girl. "Have a lovely summer, dear." She wished the girl, before she could leave.

Cilla collected her new purchases from the shopkeeper whilst saying, "Thank you. I hope you have a fab summer." She then departed the store.

SNORT.

Bad guys didn't get caught with slow brooms. Lima had to laugh at that and agree that he had a good point. "Yeah, alright. I suppose I can let you use the fast broom then. I don't think housewives often find themselves in high-speed pursuits." Though there had been times where she had to chase the children around the house when they were younger. Thank merlin that didn't really happen anymore.

"Sure thing, dear!" she added with a smile as she took his arm.

Mads shook his head and grinned at her snort. He wasn't sure why his comment was so funny. It was true. He almost wanted to stick his tongue out at her but he was pushing 40 so that probably wouldn't be appropriate. "Exactly. But I will let you use it when I'm off." He winked at her.

He nodded and walked her towards the front counter. He noticed that there wasn't anyone currently here so he rang the small silver bell to let the shop keeper know that they were waiting. "Hopefully they wont take too long. Do you think I should get one broom servicing kit or two? That way both brooms have their own set?" He asked his lovely wife.

The morning had been slightly slow, which tended to happen more so when the students weren't around Diagon Alley. They were clearly the vast majority of her selling audience. Adults would pop by with their smaller children and she'd have some younger adults too, yet nothing could compare to the overbearingly busy shop during the summer. Oddly so, Erica preferred the calmer period of the year, it entailed less pressure on her to do her work sufficiently which rewarded her to have a more relaxed day but, best of all, it enabled her to have a good cup of coffee at least once throughout the day.

As Erica heard the counter bell ring, she paused her coffee indulgence and placed her mug on her desk in the private room. She then headed out to assist the customer. A warm smile surfaced on her face as she patiently waited for a polite moment to greet the customer and ask what she could do for him. "Good day! Can I possibly help you with anything?"

Awwww, he was so sweet. Lima gave him a hug. She just loved giving him hugs and who cared if they were in a store.

Waiting at the counter, she hoped that it wouldn't take too long for them to be seen to. She wasn't really impatient or anything...she just really wanted to see the brooms and try them out. Of course Mads was probably more excited than her.

Oh, servicing kits... "How about you get two just in case our kids happen." Because they were young and could be rather destructive. Just saying. As the cashier arrived, Lima remained silent so that her husband could make the purchase.

Maddox nodded and was about to respond when the shop keeper appeared.

Maddox smiled his heart melting smile at the woman and replied, "Good afternoon! We would like to buy a Twigger 101, a Firebolt 600, and two broom servicing kits, please." He may not be as young as he once was but he was still very handsome and knew how to use it.

Though his wife may not be to excited that he still did but...hey...it had worked basically his whole life so....why not still use it.

It made all the difference to Erica when customers were as warm and friendly as she always attempted to be towards them. Customers that were difficult could honestly turn a bright sunny day into one of cold stormy weather. Hence, the shopkeeper was extremely pleased to be assisting a man whom smiled, not to mention that he was rather handsome, but looks meant little to her in this scenario.

After performing the calculations quickly in her head she responded. "That will be 21 Galleons and 6 sickles." she kept her own smile where it was and then waited for the main to hand her the payment.

So sorry for being slow. :(

Awesome, they were getting their brooms now. Lima was practically bouncing because hey, she was still a kid at heart.

As the cashier listed the price, she waited for Maddox to pay. Then they could try out their new brooms!! She\'d love to do it in the middle of Diagon Alley, but nope. Would have to wait until they got home.
