Running a hand through her hair she shifted her weight from one foot to the other before looking at her again. "And...if you have any problems or anything just owl me." Yup. There. Now everything woud be fine. And it was a pretty awesome broom.

Nancy couldn't quite stop herself from smirking quite broadly at the girl's excitement. That's the spirit! Taking the money off the counter she just watched her for a moment. Was she waiting for something? "It's yours." She offered with a grin while putting the money away. Well, somebody was excited! Heh.

"Take good care of it." Professor Vindictus was still teaching them how to do that properly, right? Yeah, probably. "Oh and good luck for tryouts again." Nancy added with a nod, almost asking the girl to owl her once the roster had been posted. But no, she wasn't that interested, and Nancy would probably not be top on her list of people to tell that she'd made the team anyway. Even though she should be!

Putting the money away, Nancy offered the girl another smile. "You're welcome. And thank you." Because well she had bought something from her. And seemed to be quite content with her assistance too. So, there, she could totally do this. This whole shopkeeping thing. Go her!

No goodbye? That wasn't very nice of the girl. "Yeah, goodbye to you too." Nancy muttered to herself when the girl left the shop without saying another word. She frowned at the closed door for a moment longer before shaking her head a little and moving back to see if anybody else required her assistance.

Jen takes out the 8 gallons and 2 sickles.
"Thankyou again." She said as she took the broom and left.
Hopefully that wasnt rude....Jen thinks.

So it was hers! She could take it...oh right, that meant now. Reaching up, she grabbed the broom and hugged it to her chest, smiling ear to ear. This was better than Christmas...better than birthdays...better than cand-well maybe not candy.

She nodded seriously when she was told to take good care of it. No worries, Ella would be extremely careful. A smile returned to her face when the shopkeeper once again wished her luck. "Thanks so much. Seriously. I appreciate it! And I'll try my best. Bye!" With that Ella turned and skipped out of the shop, wanting to show her dad her new broom as soon as possible. This was a great day!

Taking the money from the little girl, Nancy nodded slowly when she thanked her again. "Sure." It WAS her job after all. If only for now. But she couldn't just go around be unhelpful to random customers.

Hopefully she wouldn't have problems with the broom. Oh well. There would be somebody to help her if she did. Like...errr...other people. The professors. The Prefects or something. "Goodbye." She didn't even look up, too lost in thought when the girl left and just waved into the general direction of the door.

This girl...was just so adorable. And Nancy would have never thought she'd ever say, or well think this about anybody else. But this girl deserved it. With the way she was basically clinging onto her newly bought broom. Hopefully she would get lots of chances to fly it too. She better.

"You're welcome!" She replied cheerfully, giving the girl a broad grin in return. "Have fun! Bye!" And with that the girl was gone. Out the door. Actually, with that everybody who had needed her assistance was gone. Maybe she should go make sure nobody was breaking anything or well...just try and look really really important standing at the shelves.

Nate walked up to the front counter in need of some assistance. He wanted to get the Moontrimmer, but it was on a high shelf that he couldn't reach, so he waited for the shopkeeper to hep him.

Standing behind the counter with her chin up high (like she always did), Medusa had been observing the customers who walked in inside her shop, mostly students. It wasn't a big question really since the Hogwarts Express had pulled up on the Platform not too long ago.

When a boy approached the counter, she didn't budge a bit. Instead, she eyed him carefully and asked in her usual firm, authoritative voice, "May I help you?"

natethegreat 08-13-2012 11:48 AM

Yes. May I please have som assistance with getting the Moontrimmer 1500?" He asked the shopkeeper. He wanted to use his best of manners because the shopkeeper looked like a person that didn't tolerate people not using manners.

Uh-huh? Okay, this boy seems to be well-behaved and respectful, Medusa thought. She nodded with understanding when he stated his dilemma then she gave him a gentle smile, before exiting the counter and standing beside him.

"The Moontrimmer 1500 you say?" She asked, still with her uptight voice but with a more welcoming tone to it. The shopkeeper then gestured the boy to follow her as she walked towards a shelf, located on one wall of the store. Medusa extended her arms and took out the said broom model from its wooden holder. "Here it is. One of highest flying brooms which is very easy to control." She personally adored its handle's slim but detailed design.

Now, what else can she do for this young boy?

natethegreat 08-14-2012 11:55 AM

Nate followed the shopkeeper when she gestured for him to follow. He then listened to what she said about the Moontrimmer 1500. "Ok, thanks. I would like this one please." He said pointing at the marvelous broomstick. After he said that he withdrawed his index finger, and put it back down at his side. Then he waited for the shopkeeper's response.

Perfect choice. "You can pay for this at the counter."

Nodding, she delicately carried the broom back to the counter. Medusa then wrapped it, quickly but neatly. "That would be 8 galleons and 2 sickles," she told him.

natethegreat 08-14-2012 05:03 PM

"Ok." He said pulling both his gold and silver velvet pouch out. He opened the gold pouch, and grabbed eight galleons, then closed it back up again. He opened up the silver pouch, pulled out two sicles, and closed it back up again. After he was done pulling out the coins he put them on the counter, and pushed them closer to her.

Medusa eyed the boy as he pulled out his payment. Hmm...he seemed to be one organized kid. That was good since most children nowadays do things in a rush.

"I received 8 galleons and 2 sickles. No change." She said after counting his payment and deposited it on the money drawer. With a more pleasant smile, she handed him his purchased item. "Here's your broom. Do visit Quality Quidditch Supplies again!" Accommodating the customers with cheery talk clearly didn't suit her.

natethegreat 08-14-2012 05:25 PM

"Thanks, and I will come back sometime." he said while taking the broom. He then walked out of the shop, now done with all his shopping for his third year.

WitchLight27 08-14-2012 11:27 PM

Elmo Claus made his way to the QQS counter.

His sister's birthday was coming too fast. And he needed to buy her the one thing she wished. Though not really in a good mood because he still hadn't got his paycheck, he tried to give in a smile to the lady located at the counter. The lady seemed so uptight and neat and, ah, what could he say, pretty.

He may seemed weird for what he's looking for but it was all for his little sister.

oh its Erik ok 08-15-2012 12:14 AM

Demetrius walked into the shop looking to get a gift for his nephew Nigel. He forgot to get him a birthday present. So he decided to surprise him and get him a broomstick because he was to be a second year. Money was not a problem. So he thought he would get the best broom they had here.

Demetrius walked up to the counter, crossed his arms, and waited to be assisted.

MysteriesOfFate 08-15-2012 12:40 AM

Carigan opened the door to the Quidditch supply shop. She breathed in the scent that could only be described as 'clean broomshed'. This would be her third year trying out for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. Since she wanted to play so badly she figured maybe she would have an edge if she used a broom of her own over a random broom from the broomshed at school. Some of the brooms veered slightly to the right, and some had handles that bent in awkward places.

She walked up to the shopkeeper and smiled at them, she wasn't nervous of talking to someone new like she knew her sister would have been... but her sister and parents had decided that perhaps the Leaky Cauldron was a better place for them to wait for Carigan.

"Hello there! I'm just going into my third year of Hogwarts... I have tried out for Quidditch every year but a position on the team still seems to evade me..." she explained. "I was thinking I should get my own broom and get used to it before the very end of summer so I may be a good enough flyer to get myself on the team!" she said with a smile. Carigan hoped she could get on the team, anyway. It seemed like great fun! She was a good flyer in general but playing sport on broomstick was still a bit difficult.

"I was wondering what you would suggest as a reliable broom that is great for someone past the beginning stages of flying and ready to get more sporty. Money isn't a problem but I don't want some extravagant broom that is more flashy than practical..."

Having finished selling an item to a customer, Medusa went back to what she was doing earlier - observing the people who had filed in inside her shop.

As she saw a man pulling his way through the crowd of Quidditch-minded people towards the counter, she pursed her lips, "Yes? Is there anything I can help you with?" Medusa asked, trying to sound nice and welcoming (after all, he was a customer) but unfortunately, failing in the attempt.

Can't these people just say what they needed instead of gawking at her and giving her smiles?

Trying her hardest to plaster even just a small smile on her face, Medusa said, "Welcome to Quality Quidditch Supplies. Do you need some assistance?" Because assisting purchasers was her job. "Please refer to this sign.." she pointed the large wooden board hanging on top of the register, "...for any available items that you might be interested in."

Cue surprised look.

The young girl was the exact opposite of those two customers she had dealt with a while ago. She wasn't in any aspect shy and afraid to talk. Notably, Medusa liked her. Not only because she sounded enthusiastic about Quidditch, but also because she approached her nicely and apparently, was also asking her opinion on what broom would be appropriate for her "Oh, joining your Quidditch team." she echoed, nodding. "That's interesting. I think we do have here a broom model that would meet your needs."

Medusa gestured the girl to follow her and they strode towards a large shelf. She opened the glass that protected the brooms inside the cabinets and took one out. "This is the Nimbus 7003. And like the previous Nimbus models, this one is designed especially for speed flying. Its twigs have also been tweaked a bit so it can help in making maneuvers easy and fast, plus its waterproof." And, it wasn't very expensive.

It looked as though she wanted him to talk first and Demetrius had been nice enough to allow her to speak first. He was sure he was being polite. But what did he know. He was only been in this country for a couple months.

That little smile she gave him was not fooling Demetrius. Now it was time to make her feel confused. She was not bad looking for a shopkeeper. That large board pretty much listed all the items she sold, except for the few ones she had at the Private Back Room which was classified by the Department of Magical Transportation officers at the Ministry of Magic as insatiable and somehow, threatening.

She turned her attention back to the man just in time to see him wink at her. Huuuuh?! An eyebrow twitched but she stopped it from raising exaggeratedly. Medusa didn't want to start a scene in her own shop. Besides, he was still a client.

Putting on a poker face, she started answering his inquiry. "Well..the Moontrimmer 1500 is exceptional because it can fly higher than other brooms and easy to control while the Twigger 101 is famous for its agility and comes with a built-in Warning Whistle." Both were outstanding in their own field of expertise. "But you say your nephew is going to be a second year. Is he on their house's Quidditch team? If so, is he planning on playing this upcoming term?" Hmmm.. many youngsters sure loved Quidditch. "In that case, I don't think a Moontrimmer or a Twigger is appropriate for him." Because first, Moontrimmers weren't fast enough. Second, Twiggers are extremely fast for the boy's age. "I'd suggest you choose between the Locketbreaker, Nimbus 7003 or Firebolt 600. They're very fast brooms and safe for child use."

"I see.." Medusa replied, scanning through the drawers for another stub of order sheets. She had been taking inventory of everything she had sold for the day she took on the Shop to know how much her profit was and to also determine the items running low on stock. "A Firebolt 600, 1 Broomstick Servicing Kit and 1 book of 'Quidditch through the Ages'." The shopkeeper repeated for clarification as she listed the items on the order sheet.

"Let me get these. Meanwhile, please help yourself with those," she pointed the two large plates on the counter which housed cookies and jelly beans. Without waiting if he was going to touch the treats or not, Medusa proceeded immediately to the said items' respective shelves and storage locations.

After finding all, she returned to the counter, quickly wrapped the purchased items rapidly though intricately. "That would be 9 galleons, 4 sickles, 28 knuts all in all." Yes, she can calculate mentally.

You can pay now, dearest customer.

Demetrius watched her fetch the items he requested and took a cookie from the tray. They were really good. He had just finished it when she came back with his items.

He handed her the 9 galleons, 4 sickles, 28 knuts and took his items."And here is another galleon for the delicoius cookie". Demetrius said as he gave her the extra galleon before walking out of the store with his items.

MysteriesOfFate 08-16-2012 01:56 AM

Carigan smiled as the woman at the counter took her to the case of brooms and had produced a broom that had a shining handle and an impeccably well groomed bristles. "My I?" she asked before running her hand over the handle. It was smooth enough not to splinter her hands but rough enough that she wouldn't slide right off the sides. The tail of the broom looked rather aerodynamic and in general it just looked like a great model, and not too flashy just as Carigan liked.

She cast her gaze up to the shopkeeper and smiled. "I actually think this one is perfect... and do you sell broom care kits?" She asked then gently removed the broom from the shopkeepers grip and she held it firmly.

Elmo straightened his face and eyed the different magazines in the stand. He won't look as stupid if he already bought one before the actual thing.

"One Quidditch International magazine, please," he replied. Truthfully, he wasn't much into Quidditch stuffs but he'd learned quite from his sisters who's playing them still. And he's a family-oriented man. They're the type of family who would discuss about their days at the dining table.

The woman seemed new. He was sure, he'd gone here before and this wasn't the shopkeeper that time.

Another galleon for the cookie? It was for free! She knew he was smug. It showed quite obviously. But she didn't expect him to be that smug. Okay, let's say he was rich but paying a galleon for a free cookie when there were a lot of children out there who can hardly afford one, now that was ridiculous.

She did accept the galleon though. She was going to make sure it would be able to help those who starved. "Thank you for visiting Quality Quidditch Supplies. We hope to see you again." OR NOT.

Broom Kits. "Yes, we have lots of those.." Lots and lots there at the Stock Room just waiting to be pulled out. "You might want to follow me so you can pay for those items?" Without waiting for a response from the girl (because she never liked waiting), the shopkeeper scuttled off, stopping only to get a Broom Servicing Kit from its canister and proceeding back to the counter. "A Nimbus 7003 and 1 Broomstick Servicing Kit." Calculaaaate. "That would be 8 galleons." These kids sure had tons of galleons! Medusa quickly listed this on the order sheet and turned to the girl.

"Would you like me to wrap it up for you?"

It took him a long time to speak, Medusa had observed. After hearing what he needed, she bent down to get a copy of the Quidditch International magazine from the built-in shelf under the counter because apparently, there was one and she was using it. Moreover, she wasn't going to trudge out of the counter when she didn't have to. Yes, that was a pretty cool place if you knew where the secrets are hidden.

"A Quidditch International. 6 sickles and 25 knuts." Medusa declared with her signature stern-look.
