Ava Jade approached the counter. This was definitely the purchase she was looking forward to the most for this term: a new, upgraded broomstick. "Hi," she said, smiling at the shopkeeper. "Could I get an Oakshaft 2010, and also a broomstick servicing kit for it?"

Jake had been waiting for this.

WAITING!

He was old enough now... to get the Twigger 101 broom. The perfect broom for him. Now he was taller and had more muscle on him, he had to have a fast broom to make the seeker position in Quidditch again. And he had to get it this year. He had to make his whole time at Hogwarts that of a seeker's school life.

And then they had to win the cup.

With a soft smile on his face, Jake strolled into the shop and straight to the counter. He hung back a bit whilst the girl before him made her request, and brushed his hair off his forehead. Maybe Jake's sunglasses should come off... but he'd wait until he was being served.

A broom. This was the other thing, besides her wand, that Lizzie was really excited about. She had browsed through all of them around the store, read books about Quidditch, and she was pretty sure she wanted a Nimbus 7003 - the best broom she could afford. She'd picked up a Rule Book, a copy of Quidditch Through the Ages, a broomstick servicing kit, Quidditch goggles, and some practice robes. She placed them on the counter and smiled up at the shopkeeper. 'I'd like a Nimbus 7003 as well, please,' she said chirpily.

Emma walked into her favourite store in the whole of Diagon Alley. The Quidditch Shop. She really really really needed to get a new broomstick because her old one broke over the summer. Luckily it had only taken her a few minutes to find the broom that she wanted. She had a Moontrimmer 1500, she would have to wait three more years until she could get the Twigger 101, she sighed. She waited in line patiently, waiting to be called up when the next assistant was free.

Selina walked up to the counter. Her first year status prevented her from purchasing a broomstick, but she had to study up if she even had a shot at the Quidditch team.
She quickly gathered all of her purchases in her hand and went to the front counter. The sale clerk seemed quite nice, but looked wearily at the young girl as if she was questioning what the girl wanted to purchase, namely a broom.
With great Gryffindor courage Selina peeped up, "I know I cannot buy a broomstick due to my age. I just wanted to ask you some questions and buy some supplies."
A deep intake of breath and Selina pressed on, "I'm a first year, can I go out for the team? I've been home all summer practicing up for the tryouts. So can first years even go out for the team, to your knowledge? And if they can, does Gryffindor have a spot for another Chaser? I'm wickedly dedicated."
Selina stopped herself and laughed.
"I'm sorry, you're not even the coach and I'm asking you all of these questions. I'm sorry if I was an inconvenience. But if you know the answers to my questions it would be greatly appreciated. Plus I have some supplies to buy."
With that Selina placed a Quaffle on the counter, Quidditch goggles, two pairs of practice robes that resembled the Gryffindor colors, a broomstick servicing kit, a rule book, and a copy of Quidditch International.

Nerida walked into Selina Oh sorry Selina! She picked herself up and walked towards the counter, Hello, sir could I ask you some questions, Are first years allowed to tryout for the qudditch team? Cause if we cant I dont find it fair that a boy got to be on it when he was in his first year? Oh and can you tell me anything about the Raveclaw Qudditch Team? She picked up the stuff that she had placed on the floor, and said Yes I know I am no allowed a broom.But I have some supplies to buy.Which included Rule Book,Quidditch Through the Ages, Quidditch International, Broomstick Servicing Kit, Quidditch Goggles,Practice Robes,and a Quaffle.
Heres what I have gotten Rule Book,Quidditch Through the Ages, Quidditch International, Broomstick Servicing Kit, Quidditch Goggles,2 Practice Robes that were close to the Ravenclaw colors,and a Quaffle the total price is 7 galleons,7 sickles,21 knuts. She then handed him 7 galleons 7 sickles 21 knuts. Oh and everyone has been telling me that I should look here for protective gloves, its on my list and I havent been able to find them, are they here and if not where can I find them?

Maggie looked up at the girl who approached the counter. "Of course," she said, waving her wand to get the items from the back. She then started packaging them up. "That's going to be 9 Galleons altogether."

Ooooh, somebody thought they were Mr. Cool, now didn't they? Maggie chuckled and then beckoned the boy forward with a smile. "Something you need?" she asked politely.

Nodding, Maggie headed out to grab one of the broom the girl wanted from the shop and then brought it back to package it. "That's 7 Galleons and 4 Sickles. And feel free to take a cookie," she added with a smile.

"Yes, dear?" she asked the next girl in line as she motioned for her to step up to the front of the counter.

Wow, these girls had looooooooots of questions. "How about I answer the two of you together, okay?" She gave the two of them a brief smile. "Yes, first years can try out for their house teams, of course, I'm not sure what the state of each of the teams at the present time. Now as for you---" she motioned to the first girl with the Gryffindor-themed robes "---the total of all of that will be 6 Galleons, 12 Sickles, and 22 Knuts. As for you---" she motioned to the other girl "---the total you gave me was correct," she said with a small smile at them.

Ava Jade handed over 9 Galleons. "Thanks!" she said and left the shop.

Nerida said Fine with me... As soon as hearing that they could be on th teams she scream we can!!??yay! She took out the money she hd said and gave it to her and went back ovr tothe broom selection and looked There all good, but some are a little to slow...I have a firebolt at home but its almost broken She went back up to the counter with her choice of broom and said I would like to aslo get this Oakshaft 2010She then took out 8 Galleons, 4 Sickles and got ready to hand it to her.This had made her day!!

Uh-oh. Screaming.... Maggie treaded carefully as she put the money in the tin, then she had to let out a sigh as the girl returned with a broom. "Errrm.... dear? You're more than welcome to try out for the team if your house is holding try-outs, but as you are a first year, I can't sell you a broomstick to take with you. First years aren't allowed." ....Duh duh duh....

Selina let out a sigh of relief. Had all of her work on her chasing abilities for four summers not been a waste? Did she have a shot at actually being considered? It wasn't possible, the joy that that fact had just given Selina was immense.
She felt the pure and untouched happiness radiate off her skin, surely the shop was suffering from sun burn from her happiness.
Then Selina remembered, perspective. Now that she had a shot she had to realize she was small and toned for an eleven year old, but her athletic body wouldn't be enough. If she wanted this, really wanted it like she knew she did she would have to work hard, really hard.
She decided. Throwing her hand into her small side bag with her mother's expansion charm on it, Selina reached inside where all of her previous shopping purchases were and fished out her change purse. In a hurry she yanked out the appropriate change for the clerk plus an extra two knuts for the happiness she had anointed Selina with.
"Thank you so much! You have no idea- I really am grateful for your intel. Um if I make the team I'll come back and tell you. And if I don't or if I do I will be back to buy a broom from you. Just gonna keep trying 'till I reach my goal. Thanks again!"

Neridas smile turned to a frown...then how do they expect us to tryout there better be a good broom there. She walked out of the store hr day suddenly wasnt so bright... at least she could try out....

Nimrodel walked up to the counter and looked at her mums elegant handwriting again highlighted was the Qudditch Supplies, her father must have done that, he was training her to be the best Seeker ever, she would love to be as good as the boy who lived, Harry Potter... She looked up at the shopkeeper and gave him the look yes I know I cant buy a broom and said Hello sir, I woul like to purchase Rule Book, Snitch: The Magazine, A Broomstick Servicing Kit, Quidditch Goggles, Hufflepuff like Practice Robes, and a Snitch, and is this Quidditch through the ages book *holding up book* the same as the one on the first year list.

Maggie listened to the girl as she went on about what she wanted and nodded finally at her question. "Yes, hun, it sure is," she said with a small smile as she packaged everything up. "If that's everything it'll be 5 Galleons, 5 Sickles, and 20 Knuts, please."

Ellie walked up to the counter just ecstatic. "Hi, I have a question. I'm going to be trying out for a Chaser position when term begins... What broom do you recommend for me to purchase?" She inquired with a grin.

Having decided it was time to leave, Evelyn moved over to the register, staring at the few people who were there and trying to straighten out the wrinkled magazine she held just a bit more. Ugh, she had to wait? Why couldn't there be some sort of spell to make the line move faster. Or make the people in front of her disappear.

Well, she now knew what the first thing she was going to look up in the library was once she got back to Hogwarts.

Nimrodel smiled and got out the amount said and she asked Did you add the book amount mam?She gave the money to her but still had her hand in her purse..

Jake grinned and stepped forwards, pushing his sunglasses onto the top of his head and blinking slightly in the natural light of the shop. He lay his hands on the edge of the counter and drummed it with his fingertips. "I'd like to buy the Twigger 101 broom. I have ID if you'd like to see it."

GAHHHHHBROOOOOM.

Maggie thought for a moment and then considered it best to try and be absolutely AS helpful as possible. "Well the Oakshaft is pretty heavy-duty and good for keeping where you want in the air. Of course, the Cleansweep is a little faster and also a bit cheaper, just not as long-lasting," she offered helpfully.

"Yes? Can I help you?" Maggie said to a girl who was looking disgusted with having to wait. Of course, because she was more important than anyone else how silly could she be.

Maggie smiled, "Yep, you're good to go."

Yesss! Even Mr. Cool was prepared - unlike most students she had come in to buy age-restricted merchandise. "That would be great," Maggie said with a smile as she hurried to grab a broom from the back and came back to wrap it up.

Wooot! That actually, took less time than she expected.

"Hi." she smiled sweetly, figuring that she had enough annoyance and emotional roller coasters for one day already. Lifting up the wrinkled "Bludgers and Broomstick" magazine, she placed it on the counter, staring at it for a moment. Yeaaaa.

Well, just a few wrinkles wasn't going to change the words on the page right?

Maggie payed little attention to the girl herself, not being sold on the near-sickly sweet smile she wore. She looked down at the----GASP! Was that one of her magazines all crinkled?? Ooooh, she better be buying it! "That all?" she asked glancing up at the girl.

"Yes..." She had to refrain from rolling her eyes or continuing on with her sentence, but she managed it in the end! Short and simple answer. Obviously. Since the magazine was the only thing on the counter and she wasn't asking questions, Evelyn was ready to leave.

Pulling up her small coin pouch, the girl waited for the price. Actually she was more trying to read it from the woman's mind, no matter how much that wasn't working out, but it'd move things on tiny bit faster.

....Wow, brat much? Maggie pressed her lips together to keep from speaking and put the magazine in a small brown paper bag. "6 Sickles, 25 Knuts," she said sliding the bag back across the counter without much emotion.

This lady, she was like one of those muggle gray box things that spoke in monotone, had no emotions, and took over the world. Rowboots? Eh, the Slytherin had been spending way too much time secretly looking at that muggle box, or which she finally found out, was called a telemition. Or something...

Taking out seven silver coins, Evelyn placed them on the counter and scooted them towards the blond lady, the smile still stuck on her face. Woooot! Magazine was hers!

Ellie pondered this for a moment. The Oakshaft would last longer... but the Cleansweep was faster... But it wouldn't last as long... She went back and forth in her mind. Suddenly, she had a brilliant idea. "I'll take both of them." She said confidently. "One for me and one for my older brother for Christmas. Then I'll go home and test them both out to see which one I like best." She said with a wink and pulled out her money purse. "Oh, I'll also take two broom servicing kits."
