| | QQS Back Room
Only our most privileged customers are permitted to enter the back room of the shop. Here we hold unique items on sale for those who are able to afford them. Here the best and most dangerous brooms are kept in-stock as well as private collections from famous Quidditch players and antique Quidditch equipment as old as 1978. All these items are displayed across the side walls in glass cases that are locked very well so. At the back of the room is a desk, this is where the shopkeeper does her admin work and this is where she will trade with you for one of these special items.
Beside this desk is another table, slightly smaller yet more filled up than the desk. On this table there are snacks such as crackers and mini sandwiches that are complimentary for the customers. Feel free to grab a snack whilst looking around.
All artifacts in this room are for sale - it all depends on your budget. Feel free to ask the price of anything in the room and, please, no bickering; auctions will be set up for those items which are most pursued Items for Sale- Silver Arrow (Original)
- Shooting Star VI (Made 1978)
- Nimbus 2000 (Made 1991)
- Log of Holyhead Harpies 1996 Season by Captain Gwenog Jones
- Wimbourne Wasps' Beater Ludo Bagman Quidditch Robes (Used 1980)
- Viktor Krum Miniature (3 in Stock!)
NOTE: No school-aged student is permitted in the Back Room unless otherwise noted by Brad Davidson (Charely Potter), the shopkeeper. Any student of school-age caught within the Back Room will be subject to criminal charges of trespassing. Ooc: Please do not RP for the shopkeeper. The Diagon Alley Rules apply at all times. If you have any questions, you can ask them in the Diagon Alley Questions thread.

Jackson walked with the Shopkeeper to the Back Room. He looked at the Immaculate broomstick in it's glass case and smiled. He really wanted this Broomsick.

| ♫ ♥ Where are my garters?! / hyphens-are-cool / THE NORTH GATE ♥ ♫ After holding up the heavy drapery for them to get through to the back room, Maggie followed the man over to the case holding one of her favorite (and most expensive) artifacts. "What would you like to know about it?" she asked, glancing over at him as he eyed the broomstick.

"Who was the original owner and what did they use the broom for? Was it for general transport or harder use such as Quidditch?" Jackson asked. "I'm interested in keeping the broom as a collector's item and that information would be helpful."

| ♫ ♥ Where are my garters?! / hyphens-are-cool / THE NORTH GATE ♥ ♫ Heh heh. Fiiiiiinally! The history aspect of Quidditch was what enticed Maggie most about it, so being able to answer the man's questions was an added bonus for the day. "The original owner was a man by the name of Hoover Hooch. He owned it when it first came out in 1917 and it was actually used by him for a few years to play Quodpot when he lived in the United States. When he moved to Britain however, he did play Quidditch on it for the Tornadoes for a few years, but he then suffered a head injury that put him permanently out of the game," she said knowledgeably with a nod. Ah how she loved this job.

Jackson smiled. "I love it." He said softly, lovingly. When he listened to her story, he smiled. "I've always wanted an original like this. He said, with true love in his voice. "You know, I was a seeker on my house team when I went to Drumstrangg. Oh that reminds me, I'm interested in one of those Krum Miniatures too."

This guy seemed pretty committed to buying the broom but as much as Maggie wanted to make the sale, she didn't want to push him into something he would regret later. "Of course," she said with a nod to him when he mentioned the Krum miniature. "But, please, take your time," she added, backing off slightly.

| Interns :D Paz was, of course, bright and early her first day babysitting at Quality Quidditch Supplies. It would be an interesting experience to say the least. Retail wasn't exactly her idea of bliss, but helping out the Dischells was an acceptable enough reason to put up with it. She was intending very much to put these interns that Orcus had acquired to work. Hard work. Possibly fun work, depending on what the children actually expected.
A new shipment of Broomstick servicing kits had arrived that morning; the trouble was that they were not complete kits. There were large boxes each with dozens of each individual item, and they were to be put together into the kits. Busy work. Intern work. She'd put someone to that task soon.
Pascaline also wanted inventory to be taken, so she knew exactly what was in stock, and what would need to be ordered. There were flyers to hand out too, all in all plenty of things to be done. She sat at the desk and went through the books in silent as she waited, interested to see when these interns would make themselves known to her given they had all been owled regarding her temporarily taking over. Hopefully they wouldn't ask too many questions.

Starting his interning at Quality Quidditch Supplies, Wade wasn't too sure on how his experience there will be. He knew however that it wasn't going to be cozy, since it was work after all. Heh. After he was owled, he got himself ready to arrive at the shop wondering what he will be asked to do.
Whistling his usual tune, Wade entered in the shop, before heading towards the open back room, he saw a lady behind the desk looking preoccupied with the books and around her.. Oh boy, look at all these boxes. Looks like he will have his work cut out for him, heh.
Wade ran his hand through his hair trying to keep it looking tidy, before lightly knocking on the door, letting her know his prescence before stepping in. "Good morning, ma'am." He gave his brightest smile, "I'm Wade," Time to try being impressive. "an eager Intern, ready to work." Well, at least he was being honest. "Is there anything you'd like me to do?"

Ariana was still not use to this early during summer thing, and she was still very upset at her mother for making her do this. Though she was lucky she got into QQS or else ariana wouldnt put up with it as much as she did. Walking into the back room to see what was on the agenda for the day she gave a faint smile to wade, "morning. she said stretching slightly before she noticed the strange woman.... well talk about awkward. She straightened up and tried to look awake as best she could "Good morning!" yeah she was a little suprised not to see whats his face here this morning "I'm Ariana" she said giving the stranger a smile... but ariana was suspecious...always suspecious.

An eager intern ready to work? More like an extremely good looking manchild who had to do her bidding. How old was he? He looked to be of age....Ahem.
"Wade. Pleasure. I'm Pascaline. Call me Paz, it is less of a mouthful. I'm helping the Dischells out: you do not need to know why, but I assure you, you'll have an enjoyable summer." Hard work mind.
"You can start with these boxes: they contain all the individual elements of the broom servicing kit that we stock here at QQS. The cases are in the largest box. Please check all the items are passable and working, assemble the kits, top up the supply in the shelves, put them back in the boxes when you are done, and stack the boxes neatly out here." She indicated the storeroom shelves. One of the other interns can help you when they arrive..."
She looked up, seeing the next one arrive. and held one finger up to indicate the girl wait a moment. "But not that one. I have other tasks for her." And back to Wade. "Do you think you can handle that?" She stood up and came around the front of the desk, leaning back to close the financial books. Quote:

"How are you at working a cash register?" It was an important question and Paz fully intended to chuck the girl in the deep end, regardless of her answer.

Wade did also wonder what happened to Mr. Dischells, but well, there was work to be done. He tilted his head at the boxes, well, it was definitely no surprise that Wade's stocky built from Quidditch playing made him a good candidate for the manual labour. Heh. It didn't seem so bad- hmm?
Oh hello there. Ariana greeted him, though since Paz already had Wade's attention, the most he could return her was a quick smile and nod before turning his head back. " Sure, I can do this." It was also cool that he wouldn't be left alone as well. So without futher ado, Wade went to one of the nearest boxes before opening it to begin.

The dark haired woman watched him get started, knowing it wasn't too difficult of a job, even if it was an important one.
She checked her watch, wondering where the others were. Had they decided to just not show up? Well, Pascaline WOULD NOT be writing them any sort of good recommendation if they weren't here soon. Goodness, did they not realise how many children would have killed for the opportunity?
Wade here though, she'd write something for him if he wished.

This wasn't so bad, for Wade. Just sit here, look through the stuff in the kits. If they worked, cool, if not.. well, they got taken care of. Let's see, handle polish.. check. Tail-twig clippers.. check. The clip-on compass.. *rubs the smudge off*... check. Oh lookie, the handbook's here. This was one of the lucky ones to go straight to stock. He put them back in the box before going to stock them and then coming back. He went through a few more of them before Paz spoke with him. Quote:

Wade here though, she'd write something for him if he wished. He looked back at her as she asked him. " Yeah, I love it." Was he a Quidditch fan.. The question got him to beam back, " Just the thrill from getting on the broom gets me going, " Adding on to why, " I also.. was on the school team the last two years and well, I've been thinking of going professional next year if possible." Since well, Wade still had to try out to stay on the team for next year and even then.. It was up in the air, literally, on whether he'll be given the shot.

| Paz! ❄Suaviter in modo, fortiter in re❄| ⚕=equivalent exchange=⚕ | pinned ya! Guess who's back? That's right. This man. And he was excited to hear all about how his kids - yes, the Interns are his kids, no one complain - had been while he was away.
He was hoping Paz didn't made them do anything....... inappropriate for their age....but knowing the woman, slight creases of worry lined his forehead as he trudged inside the shop that late afternoon.
There was no one at the counter. FROWN.
That was the most important part of the shop. Why was Paz not manning the counter? Where was this woman?
.....He was hearing some noises coming from the Back Room and instinctively, he made for the door, frowning.
"Holy hippogriffs. Pascaline?" Orcus was usually suave when it came to women. But this was his childhood friend and they weren't exactly the best of friends - it was his sister that was closer to Paz - so it was a completely different thing with her. "PASCALINE GASOLINE?" His pet name for her. |

| Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Dragonhide-bound folder full of paperwork tucked under one arm, Mariel took a brisk walk through Diagon Alley headed towards purposefully towards one specific store. Quality Quidditch Supplies. Of course any store with the word Quidditch in it had the potential to be one of her favorites, but she was not here for shopping today.
The 28 year old did not even pause once she reached the door, simply pushing it open to allow her access as she continued her intent gait. Her footsteps did start to slow, however, as she walked further into the store, green eyes scanning her surroundings. Good, it was virtually empty, she noticed with the hint of a smile on her face. She did like shopping in Diagon Alley much better after the students went off to school.. even if this wasn't a shopping excursion. It was just better that way.
Now.. where was the shopkeeper? Mariel had a few things to discuss with her. And, if it all went quickly enough, maybe she would have some time to do a little shopping before she was expected back in the office. That might be a miracle though. Her steps slowed to a leisurely pace now, the brunette headed into the back room, her eyes falling on the Silver Arrow just inside. "Vintage," she murmured to herself. Of course she wouldn't ride such a thing, but it might be suitable for decor.. a collector's piece. Business not pleasure, she reminded herself before opening her folder. Now what was that shopkeeper's name again? Green eyes scanned the paperwork inside. Ah, yes.. "Miss Dixon.. ?" she called out.

It had been a rather quiet morning and Erica had taken that as an opportunity to do some paperwork, particularly some costs to do with the shop that she needed to be taken care of. Her reading glasses were perched up on her face as she scratched about with a pencil calculating here and there.
Midway through, her backroom door had opened. A customer. Or so it seemed, yet a customer wouldn't have known her name as easy as that. That made her slightly cautious, yet she smiled never mind the matter. "Yes, Ms?" She reached for her glasses and softly placed them on the desk along with the pencil before standing up. "Are you interested?" She asked looking over at one of her most prized brooms. That one was really something, she'd definitely be capable of making a lot of money out of that one. "Or may I assist you in any other way?" She walked over and continued with her warm smile, it was the key to good service.

But she quickly closed as she heard a voice answer and her green eyes shifted to find the location of the voice. Ah.. there was Ms. Dixon at her desk. Mariel gave her a faint smile as she walked towards her.
Interested? Green eyes drifted back to the Silver Arrow. "Possibly," she murmured to herself before looking back up to the shopkeeper. "But that's not why I'm here today." Although, she could negotiate things after her business was completed, seeing how things went. The 28 year old looked through her papers, pulling out one report to leave on top as her eyes quickly scanned it. Giving a professional smile to the other woman, the brunette stuck out her hand. "Mariel Morgan, Quidditch Regulations for the British Ministry of Magic." Best to get the niceties out of the way first. she glanced at the paperwork on the woman's desk. "You do keep good records, I hope?" Maybe it was convenient that she already had her things out. She'd be needing them.

Yet those feelings never had bothered her much, she'd been one to cope with them in no time and today was no different. She pushed the cloud of anxiety aside and focused better on the conversation of her company.
Hand extended, and white teeth glimmering, Erica returned the shake. "Erica Dixon, but you appear to know that." Which now made sense considering this lady worked in the ministry. With the lady's glance moving towards somewhere else Erica's eyes followed looking rather puzzled inside. "Records?" She hesitated then nodded abruptly. "Yes of course. Just a check up, or is there something going on?" |

Just a check up, or is there something going on?" Shaking the other woman's hand firmly, Mariel gave the woman a disarming smile at the introduction and withdrew her hand. "It's a pleasure, Ms. Dixon." Yes, she was here on business which could be potentially distressing given the situation and if proper procedure had not been followed, but she would hope that Ms. Dixon wasn't too troubled over her visit. Though if she was, Mariel wouldn't be too bothered by it. She was only doing her job after all.
Good. Hopefully everything was in order then and this wouldn't be too painful for anyone. Smiling lightly, Mariel glanced down at her paperwork again before looking back to the shopkeeper. "I've received some reports about minors in possession of bludgers." And of course Ms. Dixon would know that sale of said equipment to minors is prohibited without parental consent. "I'll just need to see your records of sales to make sure they aren't coming from here illegally." And accurate records would help that.. as long as she was following proper procedure.

A firm handshake indeed, not that it really bothered Erica how strong a person's handshake was. She was never really one of those people to believe in things like that. "As to you." She replied politely, that was one thing she did believe in. Manners.
Minors in possession of bludgers. Strange, yet Erica would never do so on purpose. She was surely the responsible type and even so it was foolish to let a child handle something as dangerous as those flying zoom balls on their own. "Alright." With her feet barely peeking out her skirt, she neared her desk once more and opened a cupboard to reveal record files. "I've been here only a few months." She said plonking the one of the current year on the desk, that was the only one she had dealt with.

She said plonking the one of the current year on the desk, that was the only one she had dealt with. Mariel watched the other woman carefully. It didn't matter much to her whether or not she was the one to illegally sell said bludgers, but it would make her job a whole lot easier if Ms. Dixon had all her paperwork in order. Being frazzled would do nobody any good and the brunette was mildly pleased to notice that the shopkeeper showed very little distress to the situation.
Green eyes landed on the files set out and Mariel approached the desk, lifting her eyes to Ms. Dixon's face. "But you do have records that go back before you started?" What was that idiot's name that ran the place before her? She glanced down at her paperwork again. Oh right.. "Mr. Dischell left his sales records though.. didn't he?" Mariel asked with a raised eyebrow. This made it a little difficult if there were only a few months records. And it would be unfortunate for her to be liable if she couldn't find them.

Although she did wonder if there was something suspicious within those files that she herself had missed. She did remember vaguely scanning through them when she first bought the shop. Maybe her searching skills weren't as badgerly as they needed to be. "They're in there." She pointed towards the cupbaord. "I've skimmed through them once, but I didn't see anything too suspicious." There was a shrug and then she began reaching for them to place them on the desk for the Ministry lady.
