Lauren wheeled around, seeing Orchid at her shoulder. "Orchid! Smell this! You have to smell this!" she thrust the bottle of Butterbeer Bubble Bath in the general direction of Orchid's face. Oh, Merlin, if she knew that all this girly stuff smelt so amazing, not even wild Hippogriffs would have been able to drag her away from it all.

"Oh," Lauren heard Orchid's question and then repeated the rehearsed mental list she'd devised "Shampoo, Conditioner, Eye Shadow, Eye Liner, Mascara, Blush, Lip Colour... and uh, probably some hair product. To smoothe. Or something. Anything else you think I need?" she asked in return with an awkward smile.

As a general rule, Amy never went into beauty shops. Her mum brought her some make up for the begining of the term, but that was only mascara and lip balm, so that wasn't much. As for shampoo's and shower gels and facial scrubs, her mum gave her that for birthdays, the begining of the term and she got given it by her friends.

That said, it was coming up to her mum popping, and she'd been told she had to get her own stuff this year, and her dad had point blank refused to go into a beauty shop, afraid for his masculinity. And so she was on her own, sniffing perfumed air and feeling bloody nervous. She didn't do girly or pretty, she just didn't.

Shrugging with her fate however, she headed down the aisle, looking either for someone pretty, or a shop assistant to help her. Plus, she had to get a present for her mum for the "baby shower" ewww. So this was even more important. And that was a bad idea with Amy, who got distracted by everything, and hated beauty products

Dani looked around and picked out a few things to put in Mizuki's hamper- well, she was having her new cousin, that baby was getting treated! She moved and picked up a cute and rather nice smelling scrub as she pushed back her blonde curls and smiled to herself.

She looked up and noticed someone nearby, who looked kinda... lost. "Are you okay?" she asked the girl softly.

Amy looked up. OHTHANKLORDY. Dani. The girl whose name she liked, but she hadn't seemed to like and complained of it being masculine, Dani, she said, letting out a huge huff of breath, you're a girl, you have to help me. I need make up for me and stuff for a pregnant woman. Any ideas?

No pressure on her or anything, but Amy was desperate

Oh it was Amy! She thought she'd recognised her before nodding- "I'm doing that too! My Uncle's fiance is pregnant and I'm making her a hamper- of course I can help... and with your make up too!" she said softly before pointing Amy over to the bath stuff and walked with her. "These fruity scrub things always work, and these magic ones are amazing!"

Oh thank goodness. Someone was in the same boat as her. Although Dani looked as though she was enjoying it, whereas Amy would much rather be in the carnival or stuffing ice cream in her gob. Even daring to go to knockturn alley, because she knew those things, but she didn't know this...beauty stuff.

Okay, Amy nodded, grabbing a basket and following Dani over to the bath stuff. Really, she should be able to work through shampoo, but Amy didn't do sainsbury's, let alone Primpernelle's, where extorianate prices were the norm. Still, she had up to 50 galleons to spend, so she should of had enough. Again, Amy nodded, briefly debating what to get, before picking three of them, and chucking them in and looking at the magical one.

When's your uncle's fiancee due?

Dani smiled and put a couple things in her basket before turning to Amy again- "October 12th" she said softly as she brushed back her curls and watched Amy- "Is it your... Mum that's pregnant?" she asked, before looking over and spotting a shade of eyeshadow that would look amazing with Amy's eyes, she moved over and grabbed it- "Try this, it'll look lovely!" she said with a little nod.

Amy nodded, so not far then. She picked up another thing, a exfoliating mitt thing, and stuffed it in the basket, are you looking forward to it? She asked, looking up to see the eyeshadow. She bobbed over to her and put a little bit as a tester on her eyelid. Hmmm. Her eyes had taken a slightly more grey look. Good grey though and slightly bluer grey. Yeah. She would get this one. She looked at the special offer and debated whether or not to get it.

Unfortunatley, yes Amy nodded, looking to Dani. I can't stand the idea of....she trailed off with a shudder

Dani nodded excitedly- "I am beyond excited. I can't wait to meet her, yeah- it's a baby girl! I can't wait... I just... I guess I'm happy for Uncle James. He's been so good to me and my brothers, and now this has happened to him and it's just... really good" she said softly as she picked out a cute perfume style thing and took a quick swab to smell it before moving and putting one into her basket.

"Ahh... so you're not so excited?" she smirked a little.

Amy turned from the display, awww, thats cute Amy nodded, I don't know what mum's having. Hopefully, not an alien she shrugged, but as long as it's human...she trailed off. Yeah, she smiled, she didn't really keep in that much contact with her uncles and aunts. Mainly because they all lived in Yorkshire or the South of France.

Amy moved away from perfume. That was one thing she didn't do/needed. She'd spent all her money on posh Jo Malone, just for the occasion.

Not exactly. It's sort of the thought of my parents...you know..I mean they're OLD. My mums 46 and my dads 47, it's just....wrong! She shuddered again. I have nothing against the sprog, but I don't want another brother or sister. I had one, she looked to the floor, and that didn't work out. Why they wanted a kid, I will never know...she shrugged again, before adding a blusher that she was attracted to

"Yeah, it would be pretty strange if the baby was some form of creepy alien" she laughed as she brushed back her hair and adjusted the pretty pink blazer jacket that she had on.

"Ahh yeah, I get ya. Aww... I'm sure it will all be fine. That baby will love having an older sister" she nodded as she picked up some form of face mask, she was always a bit touchy about putting magic stuff on her face but decided to get it anyway. She smiled at Amy- "Do you wanna have kids one day? I definately do" she said softly, maybe that's why she was so excited about her cousin, maybe she was slightly broody, ahh well- it was a good thing.

Entertaining though, Amy shrugged, if there was some green squealy thing in a crib she laughed at the thought, running a hand through her hair and picking up the mascara that she was looking for.

An older sister that thinks it's a purple dinosaur....Amy shrugged, I don't think so, I think she or he, would rather I dissapeared for long periods of time. Thankfully, she nodded, thats what I plan to do. Amy looked at the face mask Dani was holding and wrinkled her nose, before picking up a daily facial scrub.

I think so, Amy considered, but I want a career first she nodded, so yeah, kids, but not for ages. Frankly though, she said, turning her head to face Dani, I can't see myself as a mum, I haven't got a maternal bone in my body. But you, you seem much more into that than me. You'll be a good mum, I'd be a crap one probably

"Oh my god! That smells amazing!" Orchid squeeled. "I have to get some myself!"

"Sounds good, I don't know of anything else you might need." She smiled and stole another quick sniff of the Body Wash.

Dani laughed a little- "Yeah... I want a career. I wanna be a designer" she said as she turned to Amy again and smiled reassuringly- "Nah, you'd be a fun Mum I'm sure" she said softly as she brushed back her curls and grinned.

"Looking forward to getting back to school?" she smirked a little.

Amy nodded as she plucked another shower thing from the side and inspected it. Oooh. She'd keep this one for herself. The selfish moo she was. But to be honest, she'd spent about 10 galleons on her mum so far. Which actually did seem quite cheap...Designer? Tough call, but I bet you'll be really really good, Amy nodded, you're already like reaaallly pretty and stuff Amy shrugged. Next to Dani, you could feel like a paper bag, and it sucked sometimes, not that you could hold it against her. She was too nice.

Only if the kid would like running around like a maniac. I don't want to pass that madness on Amy nodded with a laugh. But yeah, I can't wait to get back. My own space again, she sighed at the thought of that. Her own space. Away from baby clobber. Damn, it sounded so good

"I know, right?!" Lauren responded with a massive grin.
She then started gathering her goods, deciding on the Melon scented Shampoo and Conditioner, the Butterbeer Bubble Bath, Sleekeazy's Hair Potion, some Unwanted Hair Remover and then an assortment of makeup. Deciding to keep it simple she chose a Bronze and Lavender Eye Shadow, the Natural 1 Blush, The Rose 1 Lip Colour, Natural 1 Lip Colour and the Dark Brown Eye Liner and Mascara.
Frowning, she looked over the products, hoping it would be sufficient. Surely it would though, it was just so much stuff! Lauren was now appreciative of never having spent much money in the past as by now she had accumulated a fair amount of pocket money. Plus, her Dad was always generous.

"I think this is it," she told Orchid.

Brody giggled, looking up at him. "Never." They could always have this argument, but it really wasn't an argument. Not the fighting type anyway. They were too perfect to fight. Brody never wanted to fight with Fyo, she never wanted to upset him. "We're both lucky." She settled on with a smile. That sounded about right.

"Thank you handsome." She smirked, leaning up to give him a quick kiss on the lips, before she wandered into the shops. Now she needed to figure out what she actually needed. Brody tended to buy many things she didn't need, but right now she was going to try and just buy the stuff she needed. "I think I need new shampoo..." She mused, smiling at him.

"I think I could agree to that," Fyo grinned, his tones still a little teasing. He was glad they'd decided to come to Diagon Alley, today. The massive crowd of students seemed to be keeping all the cameras and photojournalists at bay, at least for now.

His hand rose to cup her cheek as she kissed him, before he followed her inside the shop. The door closed behind them with the softest thud. New shampoo? "Where have I heard that before?" Fyo grinned. He had an almost extensive knowledge of shampoos now, considering how often Brody bought them.

Brody eyed him carefully, before giggling. "You'll agree with me or else..." She was totally teasing him, because she wouldn't do anything to hurt him. Brody was glad they were inside a shop now, at least if the cameras appeared they wouldn't get attacked in here. It would be a different thing outside, but they'd face that when they got outside. She knew Fyo would protect her none the less. He was lovely like that.

Brody rolled her eyes, dragging him over to the shelves with the shampoo on. "Don't imply that every time I come here we buy shampoo." It was only most of the time. "Strawberry?" She asked, glancing up at him. It was her favorite, but she wanted to make sure he liked it too.

The way she was eyeing him made him want to grin all over again. "Or else?" Fyo asked, amusement reflected in his eyes as he smiled at her.

"Are you implying that I would imply something like that?" Fyo asked. "I wouldn't dare." It was true, though, that more than half the times they passed Primpernelles, Brody went in and bought shampoo. It was cute. "Whatever you want, love," he said, his smile light. "But I do like this." He glanced at one of the strawberry-scented shampoos. She bought that one pretty often.

"Or else." Brody nodded with a grin. She couldn't actually think of anything to finish that threat with, so she just left it like that. It was more impressive, and mysterious like that? Brody had a feeling that it wouldn't really affect Fyo though. He knew her too well.

"I am imlying that..." Brody grinned at him, as she swung there hands a little. "Good." Although she did know that most of the time she did buy shampoo in here. But she loved her hair, and made it look very good. Hence why she loved buying shampoo. "I know you do..." She grinned at him, because well she brought it all the time, and he never complained. She picked a bottle of that up, and then her eyes fell on something else. She giggled and nodded towards the bottle of red hair dye on the shelf above the shampoo. "How about I dye it red?"

"Sounds good!" Orchid beamed at her. "Time to pay then?" She asked still smiling but a little unsure whether or not she was wanting and ready.

"I think this is it," Lauren return Orchid's smile. "How about I go up to the counter and then I'll meet you in Madame Malkin's for Robes?"
Robe shopping! Ew! At least Orchid would be there to help and with that thought Lauren could not feel more grateful for her friend!

"Aww thank you! You're super pretty too" she said honestly, nodding in reassurance as she checked out some curious looking bottles nearby. "I remember when I was little, my Mum had rows and rows of these things, and this one time, I knocked them down and blamed my twin, I swear that was the naughtiest thing I did when I was a kid" she laughed as she remembered those times, when she'd been young enough to not see how much her older brother was more her parent than her parents.

"Ahh, yeah- space. It's precious" she laughed with a little sigh as she thought about the new baby coming into the world- "I wonder if those two little ones will bump into each other at Hogwarts one day" she said curiously as she smirked at Amy.

SOOOPEEER pretty? No. Semi pretty...well, yes Amy could go with that one. Just. Because she'd got her fair share of attention this holiday. Not that she'd enjoyed it. You know, that much. Because it was always nice to get a little attention. God. That was the worst thing you've done? Amy said, flabbergasted, have you ever had a detention? She said dubiously, because she would have a stab at guessing...

No.

Dani didn't seem like the type. Was that fair? Probably, you know, statisticly, if they live in the same part of the country, they'll see each other at some point, even just brushing past each other, and if they're both magical, which Amy didn't care about because she wouldn't be there when the time came, and they choose to go to the same school, it's highly likely.

Yeah. Amy liked her boring/random/stupid statistics
