 Visiting Florean Fortescue's for a tasty treat? In the shop just to meet and greet with friends? Either way, you'll probably be looking for a place to sit down. If the weather's warm enough, or you're just looking for some fresh air, you'll love to sit at one of the many outdoor patio tables the parlour has to offer. Each table is circular in shape, with a number of comfortable wooden seats surrounding it. Depending on the time of year, you just might find a bouquet of fresh flowers sitting in the middle of the table you're seated at.
If the sun is too bright, you'll want to open the umbrella-style top mounted on your table. Otherwise, leave the umbrella closed and pushed down to enjoy the sunny day. At each table, you'll find a menu showcasing all the tasty flavours available at Florean Fortescue's. A napkin dispenser can also be found at every table, just in case you have to clean up any ice cream accidents that do tend to happen.

Laila waited for her sister to get back from the counter. She didn't want ice cream, but her sister and her new friend wanted some. She played with her hair carelessly as she sat there at the courtyard seating.
Kaira had gotten her ice cream and couldn't wait to get back to get to the courtyard. She and her sister had this thing where they never took a bite of their own food without sharing it with each other, if they were with each other. Mmmm..Nacho cheese and Jalapeno! She waited for her new friend to get his ice cream. |

He looks up at the two worried faces and gives them a small reassuring smile. "I’m fine, not the first time it’s happened and probably not going to be the last." He chuckles a little, hanging out with these two makes him feel like maybe Hogwarts isn’t going to be so bad after all.

Summer. The season was for sure one of Liliane's favourite. Ice cream, hot weather, and U17 quidditch. There was literally nothing that could be better than the summer. It made the last year so worth it. It had been hard, and emotional, but she's survived. And she knew that she was in a much better place than she had been this time last year and she was just looking forward to spending some time with her friends. Since she had been home schooled over the last year she hadn't really seen much of her friends, so she knew it was going to be a great summer.
The first person that she had planned to meet up with was Derf, and Lili was super excited to see him. They'd had some kind of letter contact over the last year, but she couldn't wait to actually see him properly. Lili had collected her ice cream, and was currently sat waiting for him. Soo excited!

Not to mention the tattoos that he had earned himself last summer...and he was looking to add upon this summer. The sun on his shoulder in particular serving as important reminders.
Resets that included seeing friends and just, well, being a teenager for once without feeling like someone was breathing down your neck waiting for you to slip up. So he had been more than delighted to hear from Liliane and even more so that their U-17 schedules allowed them to meet somewhere that wasn't on the pitch.
His final summer as a beater for Wales...that thought hadn't entirely sunk in yet either.
Spotting her easily, Derf waved with a grin as he approached. "Long time no see," he smiled, taking her appearance in. "You look...really good, Liliane." He was very pleased to see. A year away from Hogwarts and everything and really done her well.
Now she needed to stand so he could give her a hug. A good and proper one.

It amused Liliane that some of her best friends were on opposite U17 teams to her. It was amusing, but it didn't stop her from playing her very best. There was a big chance when she was a professional player she would be playing against some of her friends too. That meant that she really could not be worried about not hurting them. She was a beater. It was her job to try and direct the bludgers at people. She did it, but it didn't mean she liked it. But if England won, then that was okay. Or at least it was a little bit okay.
But today she was seeing Derf off of the pitch, and that was much better. Derf was a beater too, so she didn't often end up hurting him. But it was still much better to see her friends when they weren't playing quidditch. She adored the sport, but it was so much better to have a conversation off of the pitch. It had been such a long time since they had had a proper conversation anyway. So this was going to be good. And since she would be at Hogwarts again in September, she knew that it was not going to be as awful as it had been for the last year.
"hiii!" Lili beamed as she saw Derf. She had to admit to herselft hat it was a nice feeling to know he thought she looked good. Though, of course, she knew he only meant it on a friendly way. It was only her that could not stop having feelings for someone who didn't feel the same way. "I feel really good..." She murmured as she stood up, and opened her arms.
Could she get a hug now?

"hiii!" Lili beamed as she saw Derf. She had to admit to herselft hat it was a nice feeling to know he thought she looked good. Though, of course, she knew he only meant it on a friendly way. It was only her that could not stop having feelings for someone who didn't feel the same way. "I feel really good..." She murmured as she stood up, and opened her arms.
Could she get a hug now? Even BETTER than him thinking she looked well was HEARING that she felt well, and thus his smile widened into a toothy grin as his arms naturally opened and he closed the remaining distance between them. "You have no idea how glad I am to hear that," he said sincerely as his strong arms wrapped around her like a boa constrictor, only not as tightly seeing as he didn't want to suffocate her or nothing. He had much better control of his body these days, understanding how he had bulked up and all that. Less awkward. It had been a process.
Being a teenager was hard, you know?
Pulling away a bit, Derf tucked some of her blonde hair behind her ear before speaking. "I gotta get myself some ice cream too. But I'll be back soon, yeah?"

He knew that Diagon Alley would busier during this time of the year - everywhere was, including both home and Stemp House - but still, Jude was happy to sit down at the ice cream parlour and stop dodging louder, bigger kids.
Which everyone seemed to be - louder and bigger than he was. Even Jorgie was, but he didn't mind her version of bigger and louder. In fact, it was the only version of bigger and louder her liked, and he smiled at her, very glad that their parents had given them the money to come and sit at Florean Fortescues before meeting them later.
Of course, they'd probably forget he needed his wand. But Jude didn't really mind that, too much.
