| | Office of Erik Vinteren, Editor-in-Chief
Not far down the hall from where the writers and editors work is the Editor-in-Chief's office. Like the occupant before him, Editor-in-Chief Erik Vinteren’s office is modern in design. Unlike the previous occupant(s), Mr Vinteren has installed a door, and replaced all of the room's glass walls with reinforced real walls, two of which contain authentic, stylish built-in shelves. Not only are these walls solid in build and useful in design, they also have heavy enchantments placed upon them for Mr Vinteren's safety and peace of mind. The large window which overlooks Diagon Alley, which often has the shade down, is strategically placed so Vinteren can observe the happenings in the Alley when he so chooses.
The office itself appears to be professionally decorated with everything within being black, white, or grey in colour. The desk is a sharply designed glass table with rounded corners; the desk chair is off-white with a thickly padded seat and back; there is a fresh vase full of different white flowers of some kind each day; and the couch in front of the window is also a handsome grey colour, with a soft, suede surface and a unique emblem sewn into each pillow. Each shelf of the surrounding built-ins appears to contain either a book with no title on the spine or carefully cataloged issues of the Daily Prophet and other relevant news publications. No personal items are immediately visible upon the desk, save one silver lamp, nor are there any other indicators that this desk belongs to a certain Hogwarts Governor named Erik Vinteren. The only certainty that this man even exists is the handsome black and silver-etched nameplate outside his door.
When one enters, one immediately realises that this is the office of a professional, and despite the cool colours of the room, it is not the least bit chilly or unwelcoming. It is simply...efficient.
Do be warned, however. Misfortune has been known to plague those who attempt to enter Erik Vinteren's office without at least knocking first.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Erik Odin Vinteren Graduated | Vinteren, Erik Vinteren It felt good to be back.
Strutting into his new office, which at a glance was set up exactly the way he had directed it, the Daily Prophet Editor in Chief casually tossed his keys onto his glass desk and then pulled his partner in an embrace, leaning her against the desk for one small, celebratory moment. He broke away just as abruptly as he had begun, for he was now wearing quite a devious smirk.
"Are you ready to begin, Ms. Knox?" |

| Sardines ♥ BHB ♥ Dallie ♥ Grumpy ♥ MY SUN AND STARS ♥ i love julia Those "embraces" were always so short and to the point. Hardly embraces at all, but she wouldn't complain this time. She had other, more exciting things on her mind. The office was perfect and represented Erik in every way. Clean, precise, professional... stiff. It was indeed good to be back. And not in that castle, but in a new department. It was... thrilling.
Ivy's multicolored eyes scanned the room as she fixed a wrinkle in her blouse. A faint twitch turned her lips up into a smirk, just as devious as the one on Erik's face. Her eyes landed back onto his cold, icy blue ones. "Quite ready, Mr. Vinteren. |

He took a quick seat at his desk and flicked his wand out of his sleeve and toward the door. It locked smoothly, telling him that his spells and enchantments were already at work.
He smiled at Ivy, though the smile didn't quite reach his eyes, and gestured for her to take a seat. She could sit on the desk, for all he cared; actually, a seat on the desk might be preferable. Then they could talk without raising his paranoia of eavesdroppers. His office was guarded against such elementary means of spying, but even that could not offset the Norwegian's nerves.

The woman took off her jacket and hung it neatly by the door. Then she returned to Erik's desk and did indeed sit on it, by the corner, and crossed one leg over the other. She examined her lover's face carefully, knowing it just as guarded as the enchantments on his office.
All was safe now, though. Erik (and not to mention herself) was an excellent spellsman. "Where would you like to start, dear?" she asked him, an amused and smug smile playing on her lips. Oh, this would be truly entertaining. |
