| | |  Office and Storage Room [Term 25-38]
BEWARE OF DOGS! A slightly ajar door could possibly be seen behind the rows and rows of wands in the back of the shop; if you ever make it far enough down the aisles that is. Lit only by candles yet bright enough to be like daylight, it was the dirtiest of places in the entire wand shop by far, yet it still well organized and clean enough. Inside the room contains, surprise surprise, more wands! As far up as the eye could see, every shelf and crack was filled with a box that holds a wand for a lucky witch or wizard.
Covered with wood shavings and broken wands, yet neatly stacked with paperwork, was a large desk towards the back of the room. Situated to the side of the desk was play pin, possibly filled with a small child, or possibly not. Depending on the day. Underneath the desk however, lay five fully grown husky dogs and all rather protective of the young child. Whom may or may not be there. If you find yourself wandering back here without a worker accompanying you, you may be playing with your luck. Nevertheless, keep those grabby hands away from the wands!

Corey casually, hands thrust in pockets, worked his way past the late crowds of those still fixin' for a wand. He was too, but there wasn't any way he was about to pay so much wizard money... he patted his pockets, knowing he only had a few pounds, and some knuts that he'd managed to scrounge up. Even that bank place, it was so expensive to get an account and exchange money and what not, so Corentin just figured he'd make do. With his smarts.
And the two big juicy steaks that he had currently dripping through his jeans pocket.
Yeah he was prepared.
He opened the door and casually pulled the steaks out, unwrapping them from the paper.
He held one in each hand as he slipped inside, unseen by the crowds or the shopkeepers.
"Heeeeere doggies!" He flapped the meat at them encouragingly. | |

Dino's ears perked up as he raised his head when he heard the crinkling of paper. Forget the new human...PAPER! Hmmm? He even tilted his head to the side in that oh so adorable way only dogs could do as he stared at the fun stuff.
Fun stuff turned into YUMMY stuff. YUMMY STUFF!!!
Dino leaped up and trotted sprinted towards the boy, eyes gleaming and slobber being flung everywhere as he saw nothing but the juice steaks in his line of vision.
LuLu's ears perked up in the same way as she too raised her head when the door was opened, but instead of focusing on the paper, her eyes were focused on the human. Human boy. That wasn't her human boy. He was too scrawny.
But scrawny boy had something in his hands. Something that could be considered as...YUMMY. YUMMY stuff in the not familiar human boy's hands!
Unlike Dino, LuLu got up and only half sprinted to the boy. Mostly because she didn't want to be trampled over by the big dodo. | |

Corey side stepped one of the giant slobber monsters, a grin on his face as he wiped the meat residue on his jeans.
Now.... the reason he was here....
YOINK!
And Corey hightailed it out of there, not bothering to take a look at the wand before tucking the box under his arm, though he could feel it shake loose inside.
He might have left a slightly meaty bloody hand print on the door frame on his way out. But aside from that, and the meat, all traces of the boy were gone. | |

As the steak was tossed to him, Dino jumped and grabbed a good chunk of it in his mouth, growling slightly as he shook it, more slobber being thrown around. STEAK!!
STEAKSTEAKSTEAKSTEAKSTEAK!!
LuLu, instead of jumping around like her brother was doing, grabbed the steak and moved to the farthest side of the room...only to lay down and gnaw on it. All the while, keeping a CLOSE EYE on that human boy.
Don't take her steak.
Take her steak, she took fingers. STEAK!
But...human boy was gone, taking one of those stick things with him. She could enjoy her pre-dinner in somewhat silence now.

She tossed the two huskies a dog biscuit each, homemade. Maine had made them for her golden retriever back home but she had loads extra. Why not give them to the cute huskies?!

Following the woman to the back, Bryce held the door open for her and gave a quick glance to the front, just to make sure no chaos has happened in those few moments, before following her in. Oh, she brought biscuits?

Tearing her eyes away from the venom and towards huskies, she smiled at them before answering Bryce's question. "Most don't. That one," she stared pointedly at the remains of her wand, "Was my only wand, other than my spare."
Maine didn't mention that the spare was her mother's wand, and she didn't want to break it or anything. It worked okay with her, it just didn't feel as great as her previous wand.

Three months! Connor was already three months. Layla really could hardly believe it. It seemed like only yesterday that he had come to them prematurely mind you and he had given them such a scare, she wasn't even sure he'd have made it to three months but he was definitely a fighter.
Bryce was busy when she arrived so she beelined for the office to wait for him there. Magz was too excited and wanted to go help her daddy but she'd probably get in the way more than help at this point. She sunk into the chair and pulled Connor pram towards her. He had fallen asleep ages ago and would probably be waking up soon.

Having spotted Layla and his children momentarily, he tried to hurry up with what he was doing. Sorting things, more sorting things...more sorting things...for the love of Merlin, couldn't these kids keep these wand boxes on the shelves? Throwing his hands up, he shook his head and started towards the back office. Finish all that later.
For nooooow...
"Maaaags!" He beamed, arms spread wide out. Hugs for daddy? He did so much enjoy when the children got to come to the shop. Children. Plural. Seeing the stroller, and a sleeping Connor, his mouth snapped shut. Ahem. Oh.

Magnolia was all smiles when her when her daddy came into the room. She giggled and squealed and ran into his big open arms."Papa!" She loved his big bear squishes and she loved how he smelled when he was in the shop. Like magic!
"Hi Papa! We brought you sammiches." And she had done most of the work which was why the sandwich was pretty sloppy looking but she had made it with lots of love.
Between Bryce's introduction and Magnolia's squeal, the noise woke Connor right up and he woke up screaming. He wanted foooooooood!
Layla got to that right away.

Falling to his knees, which wasn't such a great idea because ouch, Bryce gave his precious daughter his usual bear hug, glancing over the youngster after hearing Connor wake up. Erm. That...wasn't him. Totally not. Not really able to hold a grimace on his face at the moment though, because LUNCH. Yeeesss. "Yea? Did you help make them?" he spoke quieter, lifting up the toddler as he himself stood up.
Just as long as nothing gross was put into it, he'd be fine.
Taking a few steps over to Layla, he smiled down to the both of them. Jeez, Connor was getting big. "You want a pillow or something?"

Sophie's arms wrapped around her father's neck as he stood up with her. She was soo tall now. This was always cool and now she was looking over her mummy's head. But back to her dad.
"Uh huh..all by myself!" Except not really since her mum gave her everything she asked for to put into the sandwich that her papa was just going to love. "Eat it now papa." Her sandwich had gummy bears and peanut butter and jelly and lettuce because her mum said it had to be healthy and it had chicken. Yum.
Layla smiled and nodded at Bryce. Was he seeing the little bags under her eyes? She had tried her best to hide them but the pillow would be good for comfort. It was for her right? "By the way..." She lowered her voice and hoped Sophie wouldn't hear..." I made you another you know what because I don't think you'll enjoy your daughter's masterpiece." Yuck, Sophie's sandwich looked so gross.

"All by yourself!" He half whispered and half spoke normally. Nooot a shocker. No wonder it looked like...that. Something he'd eat when he was a kid. "Right noooow? I wouldn't wait another second." Taking the sandwich covered with plastic, he winked over at his wife, having heard what she said about that second sandwich. Good. Still though, he did pretend to eat his daughter's creation while heading over to the closet for a pillow.
Nom nom nom nom- o_O
Plastic was sticky.
Keeping that awaaaaay from his mouth, he grabbed one of the pillows and poked Magnolia's tummy while heading back to mother and son. "Delicious, little princess." He could unfortunately taste whatever was all over the plastic though. Peanut butter? Speaking of his wife, "Where's the other one?" | |

Magnolia nodded enthusiastically at her dad. The big grin she had on her face was certainly inherited from him because at that moment she was the splitting image of her father. She watched him take a bite from it and clapped excitedly. "Was it good Papa?" Did he want mooore? She'd have to go home and make him lots and lots of sandwiches.
It was good and he did like it. She giggled and swatted at his hand when he poked her, all the while feeling extreeemely proud of herself.
Layla looked on smiling before shaking her head at both of them. Bryce was only digging himself a deeper hole here and one for sure he was going to have to eat one of Magnolia's not so tasty creations. She handed the bag with the real sandwich over to him. "I made your favourite." She said with a smile. Did she get a kiss for that?

Umm.
Enz was here. Yeah. Was this the right place? With one hand he scratched the back of his neck, with the other he flattened his shirt. Nervousness came easily to him, unfortunately. He had become a lot more confident in the past year, having worked in America with an Australian girl who actually thought he was funny and spoken a lot more English to rid himself of his French accent, though it didn't really work.

It was easy enough, he pulled it off as turning around and nodding hello, but the thought of what could have happened - aka him not looking calm - occupied his mind for a moment. He pulled himself out of the negative thoughts like Vani had told him to and raised a hand in greeting/if handshakes were wanted and all that? "Enz. Enz Rider." His voice almost cracked with the strain of trying to lose his french accent, so wanted was his fitting in, but it didn't. He gave a small smile, not big enough to show teeth, just a little flick of the corners of his mouth. "You arr en intarn too, yes?" Enz bit the inside of his cheek.
That was waaaay to much accent. What if people couldn't understand him? What if people didn't know he was an intern too and kicked him out and there went his chance of working in British government? What if—
An Australian voice spoke in his head, telling him to calm down. He could remember Vani's blonde hair, the way her eyes crinkled when she laughed—
No. This was England now. No time for regret. Only time to panic because what if he was supposed to meet people outside first? | |

Tucker followed the other interns into the Storage Room, a huge grin on his face. This was so exciting! He remembered being there and getting his first wand back in the day - and now he was WORKING here. Was that old cranky dude still working here?
"Hi! I'm Tucker," he said with a smile to the two interns who were already present.
