Just as you enter the shop, in between all the chaos that may or may not have been going on, is a rather open area with a measuring tape that seems to be hovering in mid air. It wiggles and flies around, ready to measure the next customer to walk into it's range. The measuring tape will eagerly measure your height and the reach of your arm to help the wandmakers find the best fitting wand. Whether you'll be receiving your first wand or are in need of a new one, step on over to be fitted and measured!
Instructions
⌦ In order to receive a wand, please take the WAND QUIZ ONCE for each character you wish to receive a wand. Then, post your character being measured by the "hovering measuring tape" ONCE in this thread. See the example post below.
⌦ You may role play the Magical measuring tape, but you may not role play for the shopkeepers.
⌦ After submitting the wand quiz and posting in this thread, please wait for your post to be edited with a link to the 'Counter and Wand Fittings' thread where a shop worker will assist you and your character in finding their perfect wand match. You must RP to get your wand.

Jessica went into Ollivanders with more than her share of nerves, it was time for her first wand! The eleven year old made her way over to the measuring area and waited for her turn. Soon enough the measuring tape reached her and began zipping about, straightening with a snap and measuring out her height and, when she held her arms out, she watched it take a measurement of how long they were too. Fun! Did that mean her wand would be as big as her whole arm?
The girl stepped away from the measuring area and she eagerly headed to the front for the shopkeeper to find her wand.
Thornton shuffled his way into the measuring area, thankful to be rid of Seren's hovering. In some ways, he understood his parents sending the nanny with him on his school shopping but in others, he was upset that his parents would not be making the trip to prepare him for school, nor to see him off.
He sighed, clinking coins together in his pocket. At least Seren hadn't insisted on following him into every store. Her fussing would have certainly been a bother.
He looked around to try to get someone's attention.
He felt something tickle around his ankles and when he looked down, a measuring tape shot up toward his face and measured the length of his arm. He laughed a bit, now that the shock had passed as the tape did it's work.
After a moment, it rolled itself up and floated away. He bit his lip and looked around, wondering where to head next. Maybe Seren should have come with him...

Anthony Hunt walked into the store, he was lucky that it was empty, it was an embrassment that he a 24-year-old broke his own wand. He really loved the one that he had before, but with a new town, a new wand he guessed.
Grinning and feeling happy to finally get her first wand she stepped into the shop, she had DREAMED about this day, the day when she finally would be able to get her wand and to use magic! The only downside was that she actually couldn’t use magic until she was at Hogwarts but... A girl could dream right? Looking over her shoulder she saw how her dad walked away from her, he needed to do something else while she was inside but that wasn’t a problem at all, she wasn’t a stupid little child who always needed to hold the hand from her daddy! No, she was already eleven years old and she was big enough to get her own first want all by herself!
So when she walked closer toward the others she saw how they were measured by a magical lint! Impressed she stared at the measuring lint, wondering what spell had been used to let it move like that… Looking down at the rat she just had bought, save locked up in a rat carrier she grinned again!
When it was her turn to be measured she looked curious at what the measuring lint was doing and what was going to happen next, was the measuring lint also going to give her a wand? But how? Or was there somebody else who would help her after this and was the measuring lint only a tool to register a few things? Hmm…
Emilia walked into the store, not exactly sure what to expect, scared but excited. The wand was the thing she was most excited for. She looked around and it seemed nice. It looked fairly normal. Well, until the measuring tape started...flying? You couldn't blame her for being shocked. Growing up around muggles didn't exactly prepare you for things like this, and her mum was definitely not going to explain things. The last thing she wanted to do was annoy or anger someone with her clumsiness, which she, sadly, had a knack for. So she just stood there and let it measure her, jumping with shock when it shot up from the floor, up her arm and almost hit her face. It weirded her out to be honest, but at least she got a wand out of it.
