Because Ethan was the only boy of the triplets, the six year old often got his way with many things. Including eating whatever he wanted which was usually way more than his sisters. He also had a keen desire to explore bugs and guts, particularly if it involves tormenting Adrienne or Allison.

Looking up at his father with the same hazel eyes and tousled hair, Ethan smiled. "So I can have whatever ice cream and toppings I want??" The young boy said enthusiastically, eyeballing ALL of the deliciousness. What he really wanted was to put the dinosaur shaped chicken tenders on top of his ice cream too. Wherever his sisters and mum were, didn't matter cause the more for him!

Dominic just stared at his son. Was this really his child? Absolutely yes because about 25 or 30 years ago, the former Hufflepuff probably would have done the same thing. Now however, after being a father of four, he is more than willing to share with his children and wife first. "Save some for your sisters, Ethan. But yes ... Whatever you want" he nodded, sitting down besides his eldest boy, with his youngest bouncing on his lap... He's make one for the toddler, as he was unable to make one for himself yet.

Right. This was a thing that parents did. Lucas was feeling uncharacteristically out of his element as he arrived with Aiden, even though the boy had been so excited to pick out a costume. He didn't quite know how it would go with strangers and crowds and... merlin, parenting, ok. The man took a deep breath and headed into the area where the party was, hand grasping Aiden's. The fact that the boy's birthday was soon was in the back of his head. A five year old. He was parenting a five year old. Merlin. Lucas felt like he'd done quite a bit of... 'on the job' learning over the last few months. This was just another step. Right?

Wearing a thematically appropriate tee-shirt to match Aiden's costume, Lucas steered them both toward the table. Snacks. That seemed low key enough. "What do you say, big guy?" he asked, looking down and ruffling the boy's hair. "Let's get us something to eat?"

Lenora DID move over to the food area to grab a drink and watch Iselda attempt at mingling with her fellows. The child was hopeless, so far. Sweet, but hopeless. She supposed she had herself to blame for that; Seldy had no idea how to talk to other children. Arnall had always said she was too uptight with her.

WELL.

The older woman attempted not to sternly stare at all of the adults...and their children, here. It'd been years since she had stepped foot in Diagon, and as she glanced down at her pristinely clean shoes, she scoffed at..ugh, this place.

This place.

She should have let Iwin take the girls and Seldy to this thing. But honestly, she didn't trust her grandson with her. She trusted no one with Seldy at the moment. She absentmindedly thumbed the candy necklace the girl had made her and sighed. Durmstrang would set her right, when she went. She could hope, at least.

The excitement of getting to pick his own costume, coupled with the big fluffy Angel wings that were attached to his little blue X-Men jumpsuit, was enough to distract Aiden - if only temporarily - from the crowds of people and children that filled this merry space. The small boy wiggled his shoulders happily, more than amused about how the wings moved with the motion; The fluttery feathers made the small four year old grin, and he even tugged a bit at Lucas's hand to make him look at them too.

He held onto the hand a little tighter when he realised how many people were about, though, and the grin fades ever so slightly as he walked a little closer to his guardian's side. There were lots of other kids... other small people his size, in many other costumes. The little boy looked at everyone curiously, shying away whenever someone passed too close, and looked up at Lucas when the man ruffled his hair.

Nod. There were people carrying cupcakes and sweets. He definitely wanted some of those.

Just because the two little superheros Hady had chosen to bring to this thing were babies didn't mean she would deny them anything. She was the best big sister in the entire history of big sisters which meant the kiddos would be getting ice cream. Maybe not all that much ice cream and probably not chocolate but they would be getting a little. Along with some other little finger foods that would be easy for them to nibble at what with them being babies and all and not having all that many teeth yet.

The three weren't alone however. Along with them was Hady's cousin Koen, the almost ten year old boy having changed his mind about dressing up last minute. Well unless it counted that he was currently wearing a blue shirt with the Superman symbol on it which also matched the one Hady was wearing expect hers was pink. "Most of the kids are really young Had, maybe I should've stayed home..." he muttered frowning slightly as he took in the people around them.

"I'm sure once we hit the other activities we'll come across other kids your age. Don't worry about it," the brunette assured the younger boy lightly ruffling his hair. "Let's get some ice cream and then we can check out everything else. Is that okay with you?" It had better be because right now she was the one in charge. Pushing the double stroller containing her baby siblings forward she made way for the ice cream area expecting Koen to follow her and knowing that he would.

"Ready," Hadley said. She was currently ice cream-less, though she had gotten one along with her young charge, Octavia. Hadley went with her old favorite, mint chocolate chip, so naturally, Octopus had gotten that too. At the moment, her ice cream cone was in the six year old's hands, who insisted on feeding Hadley her ice cream. Kids.

She wasn't ready. The kid jabbed the cone into her mouth and nose a bit too eagerly, getting ice cream all over Hadley's lower face. Kids. Octavia pulled it away, giggling like mad. Hadley was laughing too. She wiped her face clean with a napkin and took her ice cream back. "You did that on purpose."

"Maybe." Octavia giggled more.

Hadley pulled the girl's hat off her head, and released it. The elastic strings holding it to her head pulled the hat back with a gentle thwup. Then Hadley saw her. Hady. She leaned in and whispered something in Octopus' ear.

Octavia looked back at Haddie, who smiled and gave her the thumbs up. That alone made the little girl smile. She loved being a part of Haddie's jokes and such.

The little girl turned back around, circling the table until she passed by the other girl with two babies and an older kid. "Hi, Hady!" She stopped and waved and stood there awkwardly for a moment, swinging her arms side to side. "Okay bye." The girl waved again and rather than continuing to walk past Hady like she was supposed to, turned and ran back to Haddie.

At the tug on his hand, Lucas looked down, watching the wings flutter behind Aiden. "Liking the wings, kiddo?" They'd gotten better at this communication thing, but even so, Lucas quite often asked Aiden questions that could be answered with a nod or a shake. He crouched down, though, as the boy drew nearer whenever anyone came too close, even as he nodded about wanting food.

Getting himself on eye-level, he smiled supportively. "I'm right here and wont' go anywhere. And if you want to go, all you have to do is let me know, ok?" This was a lot of people and Lucas was worried about Aiden getting overwhelmed. But, well, they were going to have to do stuff like this at some point. Might as well start now, while Lucas had the full attention to devote to Aiden.

December would... change things.

Standing again, Lucas started over toward the food. "Why don't you go and pick out something for us both?"

The wings were rather comforting, all in all. Aiden liked how big and fluffy they were, and how he could make them look like they were flapping. And he could totally fly away if he needed to, cause that was what wings were for.

Okay, not really. But he could pretend. He nodded, the nodded again, looking directly at Lucas as the man knelt down to talk to him. The reassurances made him a lot more comfortable, but he still reached for Lucas's hand again as soon as the man stood. He bounced a bit as they moved closer to the tables of food, and he stretched up on his toes to try and better see everything they had to offer.

...ICE CREAM. SO MUCH ICE CREAM. The little boy's eyes went wide and he looked up at Lucas before letting go of his hand and gripping the edge of the table with both of his own, trying to give himself just a little extra height to see all the different ones that had been set out. It was all so colourful and pretty and yummy looking, and his wings flounced a bit on his back as he bounced on his tippy toes and pointed excitedly.

ICE CREAM PLEASE.

Lucas stood back half a step once Aiden had let go of his hand and approached the ice cream. The man allowed himself a small smile as he watched his charge's enthusiasm grow. Maybe they could make this work, long term. He hoped, at least.

"Alright," he said with a chuckle, stepping up next to Aiden. "How about this..." he added, after a quick moment's consideration. Scooping up the boy, careful not to get a face full of wing, he was able to give Aiden a better view of the options. Sure, it meant that Lucas only had one hand, but he'd only have one with Aiden holding on, anyway, and this way, the boy could whold his own bowl.

He picked up a bowl that seemed large enough to share, and got two spoons. "Toppings?" He looked at Aiden as he moved toward the little bowls. "Point out what you want."

He had gotten much more comfortable with being picked up. The small boy held onto Lucas with one hand, eyes still on the ice cream as his wings rustled excitedly. There were so many things... He wanted all of them. He leaned down a bit, tugging absently at Lucas' shirt as he pointed with the other hand.

Cookie crumbs, and something he was pretty sure was chocolate, and the brightly coloured sprinkles, and GUMMY BEARS. Those he pointed especially emphatically at, because he wanted those LOTS. He liked them on their own, but they were probably just as yummy in ice cream, right?

He wanted all of the things please. All of them.

Lucas could not help but chuckle as he leaned with Aiden, careful to make sure he didn't tumble onto the toppings. Such excitement! "Ok, big guy, we're going to need to work together," he explained, handing the bowl to Aiden. "Hold tight while I scoop." Lucas had the boy held securely enough that Aiden could use both hands if he wanted.

One by one, Lucas spooned and sprinkled the toppings onto the bowl of ice cream, every so often sparing a glance at Aiden's face to see how he was faring. When he got to the gummy bears, he made sure to put on extra, since Aiden had been extra pointy with those.

"How this?"

He could totally hold the bowl. Totally. Aiden held it with both hands, looking at the ice cream in it and then at Lucas. The second Lucas looked at the toppings however... the small boy's tongue poked out and, giggling, he lightly licked one of the mounds of ice cream. Just a tiny little 'boop' with the tip of his tongue before he was innocently holding it out for toppings.

He was good up until the gummy bears. As soon as the first few hit the ice cream he wiggled a bit happily, little mouth half open as he watched. LOTS and loooooots of gummies. When Lucas put the scooper back, Aiden held the bowl against himself and picked one out, looking at it for a moment before squishing it between his fingers and holding it up for Lucas to see. The little green near them went right in his mouth, and he chewed it up happily and nodded. That was good!

Now they had to eat it. Aaaaall of it. He pointed at the spoons and looked at Lucas, all big eyes and excitement. Sugarrrrrr.

The tiny lick did go unnoticed, preoccupied at Lucas was with balancing a child who was himself balancing ice cream. But as the toppings were done being added, Lucas did see Aiden pick out the one gummy. The man chuckled, which bounced the boy a little. "Taste as good as you hoped?"

Following Aiden't pointing toward the spoons, Lucas made sure they had two, plus some napkins because this was going to get messy, and then made his way over to a table to sit. Since they were sharing, he rested Aiden on his leg, though the wings occasionally poked him in the face. Parenting, right?

With a quick ruffle of Aiden's hair, Lucas picked up his own spoon. He had to eat at least half of this, because if Aiden ate more than half.... Lucas was going to have to answer to Tala when Aiden didn't eat dinner tonight.

Lucas was going to find himself in a race against time, because Aiden was so ready for this ice cream. So ready. The tiny taste and the yummy gummy bear had only made him want more, and he was determined to have A BUNCH. He settled comfortably into Lucas' leg, giggling when his wing breezed across the man's cheek. FUN.

The small boy picked up his spoon when Lucas took his own, and without a moment's hesitation he stuck it right into the bowl, burying it all the way into the center of one scoop. It wasn't a particularly well thought out move, because when he pulled the spoon back... most of the scoop came with it. Aiden looked up at Lucas, blinking in surprise, then leaned in and bit it, getting a nice big mouthful and some chocolatey mess on his face.

Yum.

Hadleigh gently rested a hand on her cousins shoulder guiding him ahead of her, her other hand being used to push the stroller. "Get what you want Ko, just don't go completely insane of you mom might have my head," she laughed softly giving the kid a smirk. He knew when he was with her all rules were off unless it had to do with him getting into major trouble or injured. This was the main reason he hung around with his older cousin all the time. With a nod of his head he slipped away from her to get what he wanted.

The brunette was still behind Koen carefully selecting the ice cream of her choice for the twins. Granted they were babies so she was being much more careful about the items she choose. Finally having them all seated down she took turned giving the babies a small spoonful of her ice cream laughing quietly at the happy looks on their faces.

Hady didn't even notice the smaller child until she was right there and saying hi to her. Lifting her head she eyed the little girl curiously but gave her a smile. "Hello?" How the kid knew her name she wasn't sure but she wasn't going to mean to a little girl. When the child suddenly left her hazel eyes followed watching who she went towards. Haddie. Haddie?! A larger smile formed on her lips and she waved them back over. "Hey Haddie!"
