Gleaming Gytrash https://i.postimg.cc/pddZQ7KP/gleami...ash-banner.jpg The Gleaming Gytrash is where you'll go if you happen to be a dark wizard in need of potioneering or herbery supplies. There is a herbalist and an apothecary here in this dark and ominous store and much of what is for sale is poisonous or highly dangerous in other ways.ooc: Remember that Snitchseeker site rules and the Diagon Alley rules apply at all times. Be careful how you play here. Be respectful of others and understand that measures might just be taken IC if trouble erupts. If you have any questions contact the mod in this forum: DaniDiNardo |
If she was worried about being spotted down in Knockturn Alley and it being blown up into a whole thing, it didn't show. Jessa walked into the shop, arm linked around V's, with the sort of ease that came naturally when he was around. She needed a few more potions, a few more ingredient, a few more of a lot of things to replenish her supplies and a trip out with her husband was just what she needed after a day locked away in her lab. Sure, she could have gotten these things up in Diagon Alley--some of them at least--but then she risked running into people she knew, the questioning look of the shopkeeper should he pay attention to what she was buying and above all it made no sense to hit two shops when one could sufficiently get the job done. "We should stop by the butcher's on the way home. The meat's running low." Faster than she'd anticipated when she first began animating her latest project. It stood to reason a werewolf would require more than a pair of undead cats. Didn't take a genius to figure that correlation. "The market, too, for Barnaby." Fresh veggies for her jackalope baby. "I never did ask where you got my latest experiment." Where [i]had[/u] V found that corpse? It was in quite remarkable condition and wasn't the sort to be easily accessible. |

"If you like." Valko didn't mind running what were essentially mundane errands as long as it was either for or with Jessa, and preferably the latter. "We can get something for ourselves too - I'll cook." He liked cooking for her, since she was so willing in general to get to know Bulgarian cuisine. He held the door for her, one hand still on the small of her back, and glanced down at her as she mentioned her latest experiment. "Romania. Apparently it died in a cave with naturally occurring magical resonance which caused it to remain in its transformed form despite the moon phase no longer being full." It had only taken a few other measures to make sure it would stay as such. "I suspect the cave was obsidian-lined." Obsidian held the right kind of magical resonance for such things. When he'd heard about it he'd immediately arranged to acquire it for her, and he was entirely too pleased by how excited she had been. There wasn't anything better than making Jessa smile and show the kind of excitement that was usually associated with small children on Christmas morning, so Valko tried to do it at any possible opportunity. |

"Romania." Jessa repeated, walking into the stop and tugging him along with her. "Reckon I'd have guessed a few places before there but it makes sense." She gravitated toward the first set of shelves, ignoring the shopkeeper's gaze. Here, at least, she knew better than to take the suspicious looks personally. It was Knockturn Alley, they had a different reason to be suspicious and it had nothing to do with her. "I don't suppose you could get me a live one, just for a little. To study and recreate the behaviour in mine." It went a long way with realism when she animated her experiments. "Won't need it to guard anything specifically...so I suppose I'll have to find another reason to justify it's violence but it's not a puppy and shouldn't have to act like one." V likely didn't have anything to guard either. Not because he didn't have valuable things but because his magic was sufficient on its own. |

"I could put an advertisement out for someone. Hire someone to come work with you during as many full moons as you require." Money was no object, especially not for something that made her happy, and that way he could vet any applicants to make sure they were on the level. "I am not sure you need to justify anything. It is what it is." And as long as they kept to themselves it would remain nobody else's business. Leaving her side, Valko continued along the shelves himself, while he was here, might as well pick up some lodestones. |

"And you'll be there? Through each session?" It was one of those "just in case" things. Scientists and researchers worked on teams for a reason and while she was fine doing a lot of it on her own, sometimes you had to make use of that team. "Let's get the ad out as soon as we can. He'll be in peak form soon and I'd hate to have him sitting around doing nothing while I wait." Perfectly good waste of a specimen right there. She smiled some, having nearly expected that response from him. With V, she never had to justify things unnecessarily. He was there, regardless. Jessa drifted over to another shelf, making a mental note of everything she was currently running low on. "Grandmother was asking when we plan to be married." This was as good a time as any to bring this up, while she was out and distracted. |

"I'll write it tonight and send it out first thing." Valko suggested. That would give enough time for revision and also to make sure he knew exactly where it would best suit them to place it in the first place. And he was sure that she'd prefer a werewolf that wasn't constantly dosed up on potions too, which meant going a little outside of the more mainstream hob listing methods to reach the ideal candidates. He collected a few lodestones of various sizes from the shelf, eyeing one up critically and returning it when he noticed a tiny infinitesimal hairline crack. With the kind of work he did that could be the difference between life and death, so it was best to be cautious. He looked up at Jessa's next comment. "Are you going to tell her or do we want to do the whole thing again as a farce just to satisfy interested parties?" Or partially satisfy, at least, since there were other things that would soon follow, demand-wise. |
