Front Desk [08/19/2010 - 07/07/2012] As you approach the front desk, you see your own reflection on the dark shiny surface of it. It's sleek form fits in well with the Head quarter's entrance. The warm smile of the Prophet's secretary though, washes away whatever sense of intimidation the place could give. If you need anything, don't hesitate to let the young man know. |
Enya walked into to Daily Prophet office, wanting to set up a subscription. She waited politely to be noticed. |
And there she was. Sienna was finally arriving to the office when she actually thought she's entered the wrong Headquarters...was this child care now? Where was the Prophet? Oh, no, wait, this was the Prophet, and who was the girl in here? Most importantly, where was their secretary?! Oh, that's perfect. Miss Knoll was always in a good mood, thank Merlin she was the one to find the little girl, can you imagine if it was Ian instead? "Oh, hello little lady" she said, taking her sunglasses off, "Are you waiting for someone?" she asked, thinking that the most likely thing was that either one of the girl parents or guardian worked here. |

Oh! Not a parent or guardian. This was business-related. Sienna liked that. Actually, the girl was waiting for the person that was nowhere to be seen, "I see, well, we do have a secretary around..." she started to say, trying to look inside the Prophet, "...but apparently is not here" stating the obvious was slightly painful, simply because Sienna as Managing Editor should know a bit more about their employees. However, she took a list (that looked more like a book) from behind the desk. "I believe I can help you with that..." even if it wasn't her job, "...you could tell me your name and I'll sign you up in the newly subscribed list" she nodded, and tried to find a quill around the desk. That shouldn't be a hard job, this secretary was going to be fired soon. "It should take about two days before you get the delivery, we send this list to the Post Office and you'll get the Prophet by owl" that's something the girl should know by now, "I do have to ask...do you only wish to receive the Daily Prophet or the Evening and Special Editions as well?" fair enough, that was a good question. |

And no sight of the secretary, well, Sienna checked two little boxes, one of them being the Daily Prophet and the other the Evening and Special Edition Prophet. Oh! The girl wanted to be a writer! Truth be told, Sienna was more of a Photographer, even if she often wrote a couple pieces for the paper, "That's great, though I'm not really a dedicated writer, I'm more of a photographer myself. But I could recommend you to keep a journal, it's supposed to help" she smiled, the girl sure was sweet. |
Erik walked into the Daily Prophet office and looked around with his mouth wide open like some tourist. Well he'd never actually been inside this building after all. Rubbing his still sleep riddled head he yawned and placed the box he'd been holding more securely under his arms. He felt bad for acting the way he did at the Leaky. Really really bad and he wanted to make it up to her. Standing behind the girl talking to the lady at the desk he yawned. The nap had been much needed though and he didn't feel as cloudy headed or anything so it was a good thing that he had gone home. Now to hope she wasn't mad at him. |

Walking over to a filing cabinet, she opens the second drawer, flipping through a couple files, she finds what she was looking for. Closing the drawer, she starts looking over the paper. |
Luna stepped into the Daily Prophet headquarters. She wanted to set up a subscription to the Daily Prophet news paper, as she knew her mother and father wouldn't bother to send it on to her once they read it. 'Hello, I'd like to subscribe to the Daily Prophet' she said as the receptionist waited for her to say something. |

A smile appears on her face, as she realizes who it was. Glancing over at Sienna, she realizes that she is helping the person with setting up a subscription. "As soon as Ms. Knoll is finished here she can help you as well." she replies to the young girl. Placing the paper she had in her hands on the counter near the door she'd come through, she steps out from behind the desk, and walks over to Erik. "Hi." she says softly with a smile playing on her lips. |

As she walked over to him he smiled and moved the box from one arm to the other. "So...upon wakin' up I realized that I might have acted a bit...inappropriately, the water all over the place being a hint...and have come bearing a piece offerin' in the hopes ye aren't mad at me and if ye are this will make it better." He held the box out to her containing some gender neutral baby stuff that the clerk had suggested since he knew nothing. |
baahaaaa still can't stop giggling about the water Quote:
Her curiosity however, getting the better of her, she wonders what might be in the box. Taking the box he was holding out to her, she puts it on the small table near them, looking up at him as he does so. Instead of opening it right away though, she walks back over to him, though so wanting to know what was in the box at the moment. She was more concerned about him. He must have really thought she was mad at him for what had happened. Wrapping her arms around him, she looks up at him and whispers "I love you, and really I'm not mad." |
Erik watches in surprise as Kenzie took the box and set it down on the table. "Aren't he goin' ta open it?" He looked at her as she came closer again and he wrapped one arm around her, "Well good I don't want ta ye ta be mad. I love ye too. And I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. It was, fer lack o' a better word, immature." He smiled at her and kissed the top of her head. "I really am very happy." Smirking he whispered in her ear, "We're goin' ta be parents." |

Turning back to the box, she looks at him curiously again, then goes to open it. Her mouth forming an "o" as she looked inside, tears formed in her eyes, this time not out of frustration, just out of surprise, love and happiness of what he had done. Lifting out one of the tiny sleepers, she fingered the soft material her eyes lifting to his once again. Words left her, she just didn't know what to say other then a small whisper "Thank you." |

He watched her with a smirk on his lips and his hands back in his pockets. His smirk turned into a smile as she lifted up the small material and met his eyes. "I just really wanted ye ta understand that I was all in this. Without a shadow o' a doubt." Not taking his eyes off of her he couldn't have been happier even if he tried. "I'll let ye get back ta work. I just...wanted ta give ye that." |

Looking at another item in the box, she giggles, a little set of robes. Lifting it out she grins at Erik. "Perfect." She couldn't wait to start shopping together with him, for their little one's room and clothing, but they had months to do that. Placing the robes back in the box, she decides to finish going through it with him at home. Walking back over to him, she puts her arm around him, reaching up she kisses him on the cheek. "Thank you, sweetheart. I truly love it." Nodding she understands he really needed to get back to work as well. "I'll see you tonight then." |

Watching as she walked over to him he wrapped his arms around her and smiled, "I thought ye might." He kissed her lightly and smiled, "Yeah..oh...dinner at the restaurant by the ministry. I don't feel like makin' anythin'. Meet ye at...seven?" |
Quote:
"I'd love to" she replies nodding, wrapped up in his arms. She couldn't imagine being any happier then she was at that moment. |

Yes, it seemed that Miss Knoll was now in charge of this thing. And to think she only wanted to head to her office once and for all, "Sure, I'm already doing that" what's another name on the list? Same goes to the secretary and the 'let go' list. "Do you mind telling me your name?" she asked the little girl, "And I also need to know if you'd like to receive only the Daily Prophet or the Evening or Special edition as well" yes, now she knew exactly what to ask. |
Touz = fail. haha Sorry for sucking. *posts now* Plymouth Morgan was usually at his desk. He usually was. Really. Well mostly. Okay so sometimes he got distracted.... ... oops. He slipped back behind the desk and straightened his tie. "Hehe. Sorry, Miss Knoll. I had a... thing." No, he hadn't been back in the offices, looking at pictures and touching things he shouldn't. Never. "I can take it from here?" Plymouth smiled for her, then each of the waiting customers. |
Touz will take it from here XD Quote:
Hmmmm...where had he been? Wait a minute. Who was this man? And why did he know her name? Thank Merlin for tags, otherwise Sienna would've never known what his name was. Surely Ian mentioned some time ago about their new hire, correct? Surely. Yes. At least he was easy on the eyes, but very young...Sienna didn't precisely like that, what ever happened to the old lady who used to be their secretary? Oh, dear Merlin, hopefully she isn't dead. "Oh, why yes you can, after all it is your job, Mr. Morgan" she said, a tiny hint of a smile was on her lips, but that was there for the girls who were standing inches away. "He'll take it from here, girls" she nodded, with a smile, "Good luck at Hogwarts, Enya" after all Sienna knew her name. The woman left the quill on top of the list and took her sunglasses from the table before she started heading towards her office. Finally! Her office. But wait. She stopped, "By the way, Mr. Morgan, I may ask for you to come to my office soon" haha, a smile, but not a nice one. And then she was off. |
Enya, Luna, Kenzie ..? yes. Plymouth watched Miss Knoll leave with a rare grimace. To her office? May ask? Was that like saying he SHOULD come? Sigh. "Ooops. Think I might be in a bit of trouble." Though, of course, when wasn't Plymouth in a bit of trouble? He turned the grimace to a grin for the girls. "So ... you were getting subscriptions, right? Want some candy off my desk? hehe." You know, to make up for him being a weeeee bit tardy and all. |
