 Want to dress like a super hero or princess, but don't have any materials of your own? Don't worry, we've got you covered. The local kid's shelter has donated a plethora of costumes and accessories for you to wear for the day. Just pick through the many boxes and try things on! There's a shortage of nothing. | |

An event that involved ice cream and dressing up would obviously attract the Summers girls. The older of the two, having ushered her mini-me through the crowd, stopping once or twice to pick up "baby," the toddler's newest favorite toy. "C, how about some ice cream?" That had to win the nearly two year old over, yes? Ella hoped so. She was craving something sweet and cold and it wouldn't hurt to sit. She'd been so tired as of late. Tired and hungry and trying to keep up with her daughter, one who responded with a chorus of no, no, noooooos.
...Welp, on to the next idea.
"Let's play dress up, then. Want to make mama pretty like you, Princess Butterfly?" The toddler nodded eagerly and Ella cracked a smile, relieved. That should occupy Cecelia for at least...ten minutes. She'd take it.
Heading over to the boxes, the Ellaphant stood beside her daughter as the latter picked through them, holding up anything sparkly and pink with her tiny hands. "Too bad daddy isn't here. He'd look so nice in that tutu." Just saying.

Which if he didn't. Well he would have a cranky daughter and would have to explain to Deidra what his better idea was. Which was food. But not really a good answer. Also best not get yelled at. Yep.
"So you want to be Princess Ruby Rose"
All he was hearing was yes and an excited Ruby Rose which made him smile. Shame Mom was not her. This was more her thing. See Ruby Rose all dressed up. Ah looks like they were not the only ones here. Which was a good thing. A younger mother and daughter.
Ruby Rose went right to them and picked through the items with them.
"Ruby say excuse me before going through things they are looking at. Sorry for her"
Takes after her mother.
Cough.

She hadn't been sure what to do first and with all these other people around, Alanna was having second thoughts. Maybe she didn't want to come to this thing at all. Maybe she should have had Mama invite Emma over to the house again and they could have their own superhero and princess party. At least then there wouldn't be....so many people....
So very many loud children, some bigger than her and a lot running around like terrifying beasts about to knock her over. Coming here was probably a mistake, a thought she all but said with the way she gripped firmly to her brothers hand.
The little girl might have asked if they could leave but then she saw it. The most amazing thing in the whole entire place and she couldn't believe they had it. Timidity gave way to excitement as she'd all but insisted they come here because DRESS UP!!!
"Emma, we can be Princesses together, like Juni is!" She insisted excitedly but even then, her voice never went very high for fear of being heard by others. Lulu and Aaron could dress up too. She might have asked her brother to be a Prince and match with her but she'd already been given the lecture about letting her brother choose for himself before they left. It wasn't like she thought Aaron MINDED so she didn't see why she needed that lecture. Her brother was happy to play along with her. "What will you be?" She asked instead. See, not begging him at all. But really she'd like him to be a prince. Please?

If their was one thing that Harper loved it was playing princess and dress up. So today was the best day ever. The four year old let go of her daddy's hand, even though her mother had told her to keep hold of his dad no matter what. She couldn't help it, once she seen on the dress up clothes that was in all these boxes.
She needed a pink dress, with glitter, and big crown. The BIGGEST she could find. Aunt Cinna would be so proud of her. Harper was also going to have to find a Superhero outfit for her daddy. He was a superhero, or that's what her mother always said, before she gave him a big sloppy kiss. Gross, parents were gross, old people were gross and yes kiss was gross.
Being a princess she would have to kiss a frog one day this was terrible news for her.
She was now looking in the boxes. "Daddy daddy, Its gotta be pink." She needed a pink dress.

"It's nice to meet you both," Ella said cheerfully, her eyes on her daughter as she tried to share a wand with Ruby Rose. The sight cause relief to surge through the blonde, as sharing was something Cecelia would have to get used to now that she was going to be a big sister.
Wait, too much? Ella glanced at the man and laughed. "Not at all. My husband has been known to sport one every now and then, too." Alec was kind of awesome like that and tea parties were always amusing to take part in because of it.
As more people joined them, Ella carefully pulled Cecelia away from the boxes, setting her on her lap and letting her play with the items she'd already selected. It was then that she spotted a couple familiar faces. "Chris?"
