OOC: Your post will be deleted if you play here without permission. You must have applied for a spot in the seminar and received a PMed a letter of acceptance to post in this thread. Please also note that if these rules are not followed, your character may be eaten by a dragon. Beware.
Deep in the bowels of Gringotts' underground vault system reside the most dangerous of the numerous creatures within the bank. This danger comes in the form of two dragons, both deathly if not handled correctly. The larger one, Bunny, is a rare hybrid of a Chinese Fireball and a Hebridean Black, measuring about 28 feet long from the end of her snout to the tip of her tail. She closely resembles a Liondragon, save for the fact that her scales are colored black, making her doubly hard to see in the gloomy lair. Her eyes are bright purple, and her tail is tipped with an arrow-shaped spike.
Like a Chinese Fireball, she tolerates other dragons in the tunnels; the Hebridean Black's desire for a large range has been bred out of her. Due to this, it hasn't been difficult for Bunny to become used to the newest addition to Gringotts' agglomeration of creatures. He is a young cross between a Chinese Fireball and Ukrainian Ironbelly. The little guy is rather cute, possessing a snub-snouted face, rough, metallic auburn scales, long talons and golden eyes. He shares the space with Bunny, his pseudo-mama, and the two get along quite well (it's probably their Chinese Fireball blood).
These two are quite the force with which to reckon, especially if you haven't received the proper training on how to work with them. Fortunately, Gringotts Wizarding Bank has worked in conjunction with the Ministry of Magic to bring a seminar on Dragonology to the Wizarding World. Students accepted into this program will be granted special access to the Dragon Lair of Gringotts and permission to work with these two dragons.
Be careful, and please do your best not to get eaten. After all, that would be an awful lot of paperwork for the manager.

As Leo sat down Charlotte smiled at him. All the things that had happened made her a be nicer to people. Cause in the end everyone needed a shoulder to cry on or a person to laugh with till it hurt. " Do i look professional enough?", she whispered,"cause i am bursting with excitment." Hopefully that didnt show, cause that wasnt professional...and this was a seriously big chance. Jesus. Thankfully she hadnt thought about that too much, otherwise she'd be freaking out.
And then it started. The seminar finally started. Listening to the other students introduce themselves she let her eyes wander through the room. Maybe she could find a way to remember all of their names....doing that she almost missed her turn." I am Charlotte Erikson, WU Moscow", the brunette said giving her best smile,"a harness is used for secure flying on the dragon, if one cant secure the harness they cant fly on it. Also i might be wrong but as far as i know harnesses are part of young dragons training. It gives them freedom and it gives the trainer control at the same time. " Something like that.

Bryce followed Mr. Williamson's (or Willy?) instructions, sliding on his dragonhide gloves. Most of the people here seemed to know the leader from somewhere. Maybe he taught at their uni or something. He turned his head to the man introducing himself as Mordred Mordaunt, nodding in acknowledgement that he made the mental note, and listened to what his response was. Right, he was. Placement charm was the way to go when putting on a harness on practically anything, yeah? "Er...Bryce Taylor, sir." He spoke up after his peer did, raising a hand halfway. "I agree with Mr. Mordaunt's response, here, but could a levitation spell work just as well?" Just for info, you know?
Jake was here. He was. Just running a bit late... but that happened sometimes. He was a busy man and had quite a few things to do around this place, and he had simply lost track of time. But anyway - he was here. He made his way over to the group as quietly as he could, trying not to attract attention to himself, and stepped up beside Colin.
It seemed like he hadn't missed much, anyway. They were talking about why dragons needed a harness, or something. So they're less likely to eat you, Jake thought, but he kept quiet and instead scanned the crowd of students (they were all students, right? He couldn't remember every application now that he was trying to). He recognized a few familiar faces before turning his attention to Williamson, who seemed to be commanding most of the seminar-goers attention.
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite
Oh so they were working with him--er William?? No complaints here at all. Freya simply sidled closer to the man, closer than she'd first been standing and she might have gotten even closer after he mentioned having worked in Romania. She and Felix visited there over the summer, it was brilliant. Did he know people there even now?? People who'd be taking interns for maybe the winter or summer? Yes? YES?
"Freya Sanders." She offered, slipping her dragon hide gloves on. "Bunny'll need a harness so it'll be safer to work around her and that guy will have a harder time making us dragon bait." Some people could do that all on their own. The harness was for the best.
"The younger they are the easier it should be the harness them, so long as they still have that appearance of domestication.".....Appearance, considering you couldn't really domesticate them. It was after they fully grew into their scales and felt BIG and GROWN that you had to really put your back into it...and a couple fingers....toes too depending on how dense you turned out to be around creatures.
Would everyone get dragons eggs as a parting 'thanks for participating'? She would suggest that.

Zoe/Tancred post coming a.s.a.p but Harmony is here to assist!

Just look at William, jumping right into things! Harmony smiled to herself, wondering if he missed doing this sort of thing. He had been a Professor at Hogwarts, after all. She could tell he was gifted at getting his students attention. What she wasn't sure about was how well Tancred got on with the youngsters. Perhaps she could help forge bonds? Why not! She certainly wasn't going to spend her time here on the sidelines.
Following the Dragon Commissioner's lead, the red head stood by his side and smiled. "I think I'll help with Bandit too, hope you don't mind!" Surely he wouldn't say no to a helping hand! "And why not start by having the kids introduce themselves!" What a wonderful idea, yeah?
"Those first and second year students, over here please!" In case they'd missed Mrs. Clark's assignments due to excitement. "Please, let's start by introducing yourselves. I'm sure the dragon commissioner wants to know who he has the pleasure of working with! Besides Bandit, I mean!" Harmony let out a little giggle!snort and then looked at the students cheerfully. Go on!
...
She didn't have to call him Professor? Ella smiled sheepishly and nodded her head, not knowing what to say about that. Should she thank him or? Oh gosh. Stop being awkward, Ella. I yi yi.
But wait! She wasn't working with him or Chris or Mordred? Not that this was the end of the world but still. She was going to be on her own. Well with Nigel which was nice but the guy had distracting hair and Williamson was going to be all the way over there. Sad days. Sad days indeed.
Eyeing the dragon commissioner curiously, the twenty year old headed over to stand by him. She was looking forward to being around such influential people and really, the thought of working with a younger dragon was quite appealing to her. Just thinking about it like that put her in a better mood, even if the red head was making her a bit nervous. Just a bit.
"Hi! Um...I'm Ella Bishop. I'm a second year student at Edinburgh and I'm just happy to be here." ...Oh gosh, that sounded so lame. Somebody else go, please.
So Nigel would be going with the Adara guy and not Williamson. At least he would know Ella in his group. He was fine with that. Just he did want to be in the Bunny group. At least he knew a tiny bit about that dragon. And was that Mordred there. Man this was nostalgia station right now. Well after seeing that Colin and Jake were here. Probably just watching in amusement and hoping we got burned or something. Which Nigel would so be doing also. He walked on over to the Adara guy.
"So Mr. A. What is the first thing we have to do?...and i am Nigel Barrington."
Nigel was not pursuing Dragonology like Mordred or some other people. So questions will be asked.
He does not want to be Colin's amusement for the day.

Chris gave Ella a little nudge and thumbs up before heading over to the dragon named Bunny. Horrible choice of name. Although, Chris did appreciate the irony. "Chris." he said introducing himself with a very slow wave. No sudden movements, right? "Third year at Edinburgh specializing in domestication of creatures and creature behavior." Which mostly involved him making faces and taking them on walks.
And being awesome. He was 'specially good at that too. But now was not the time for the New Yorker to brag about that. He'd save that for later. Or perhaps let everyone figure it out on their own. It didn't take Sunshine over there very long to figure it out.
"So it doesn't get away." he suggested in reference to the harness question. "Unless Bunny here likes long walks along the cavern halls, which is another possibility." Just sayin'. Bunny could like walks if she wanted to. He didn't judge.
-------
Ah. There was the kid. Colin gave Jake a little nudge and whispered "Whose idea was it to have the younger kids deal with Bandit?" Because it was either a really good or a really bad idea. He glanced between the two dragons. Good thing he brought the clankers, just in case. He'd just rather not have to use them when they were playing nice.

Léo plopped into the spot she'd patted. It was better than being completely alone here. Even if he hardly knew this girl. Was still better than nothing.
"No problem 'ere. Was just going to ask you the same thing." At least they were on the same page on this one.
Léo looked away from Charlotte as the seminar started. His eyes lit up as the woman (he'd already forgotten her name) talked about the kinds of dragons they had. And they were crossbreeds. Now he was even more excited. Just dragons.
Then there was a pretty red headed woman speaking. Now that he knew where he was going, he just wanted to go see the dragon. Also the fact that he was in the group with the juvenile meant it would be more likely to be able to pet it. Maybe even scratch it's belly. Avery would kill him if she knew what he was thinking. He had no intentions of getting eaten...but his current thoughts might lead him down that route.
Léo turned to Charlotte, knowing that they would be in the same group. "Let's go then." He got up without even waiting. Yes he was excited.
He walked over to where Mr. Adara was and gave him the most excited, dopiest grin...mainly because it was permanently stuck on his face at this point. "Bonjour monsieur. Léopold Bouchard but you can call me Léo." He felt an introduction was necessary.

The dragon commissioner was glad that Harmony decided to tag along with him and the younger kids. Already Tancred could tell that William would be just fine on his own with his group of students. It made sense; his friend had been a professor at Hogwarts. He, on the other hand, had no teaching experience. But he did have years and years of experience at the Welsh Dragon Reserve under his belt. The man gave his boss a smile when she joined the Bandit group. An extra pair of eyes to make sure the students didn't get eaten by a young dragon.
Speaking of students, Harmony had already called them over and got them to introduce themselves. Excellent. Now for the task of not forgetting their names. There was Ella, Léo, Charlotte, and Nigel. Easy enough to remember, right? Hopefully.
"It is a pleasure having you all here today. There can never be enough dragon lovers out there," Tancred responded, pulling on his dragon hide gloves. The students were old enough to know that they needed to follow his example, right? "My name is Tancred Adara. Feel free to call me Tancred if you'd like. I am the current dragon commissioner at the Ministry of Magic. Before that, I worked at the dragon reserve in Wales for thirteen years. And this is Harmony Skylark, head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures."
He paused to let that sink into the young minds staring at him and then got around to answering the question one of the boys (that was Nigel, yes?) had. "Well, we can all start by putting on our dragon hide wear if you haven't done so already. We don't want any of you getting any nasty cuts or burns. When we get closer to Bandit, remember not to make any sudden movements or loud noises. Try to avoid his head or anything pointy." Common sense, right?
"Our first activity with Bandit is giving him some much needed exercise. From what I hear, he's a rather hyper young dragon. We will need to get a harness on him first, though. So, how do we get a harness on a dragon? Any good techniques that you know of?"

Mordred watched as Nigel and Ella made their way towards the other dragon named Bandit. He did not want to admit it, but he wanted to work with the two since he’s familiar with them. But then again, he gets to work with William so all was well. Merlin, he was hoping to see Kurumi around…it’ll be more fun and stuff.
The young man’s attention turned to the woman who introduced herself as Charlotte Erikson. Mordred didn’t know that Magizoology was being offered in Moscow, and thought that it was a major only offered in St. Petersburg. Nonetheless, he was thrilled to see somebody from the same country. Should he introduce himself to her? Maybe he should, but probably not when there are dragons around. His eyes then shifted to the other guy in their group. Bryce was it? Mordred gave him a nod to show his acknowledgement.

But now they were getting instructions, so with quick nod of the head, Tiberius moved over toward the group that would work with Bunny.
Léo nodded and gave Tiberius a quick wave as he walked off to join his own group. Now to go play with the baby dragon! And not get eaten. Yeah. That was a good plan to have.

Léo gave Charlotte a slight laugh. "You look perfect, mademoiselle." No need to be super dressed up when dealing with dragons. He was dressed a little better than he probably should be himself, but they were old clothes and he could always replace them if they got burned.
And now the pretty red head department head said she was going to be joining them. What was her name again? Léopold really needed to work on learning people's names a bit better...or paying attention. Which was really hard when he was excited.
He listened as everyone else introduced themselves. Charlotte, Ella, Nigel. Got it. For now at least. Well at least he would be going to school with Nigel so he might see him around more. Now onto the more important things...the dragon. Little Bandit.
Oh good. Tancred reintroduced the red head. Harmony. Simple enough to remember. Hopefully. And man. Tancred sure had some experience. He was definitely glad he would be learning from him today. Léo did as he was told and pulled on his dragon hide stuff. No burning needed to occur today. Avs would have a fit if she heard he was being irresponsible. She was already mad at him for wanting to pet the dragons.
Simple enough instructions. Basically don't spook the young dragon. Same as with the horses on Avery's farm...which had tried to kick him at least once while he was there. "Per'aps a placement charm would work or another way using magic so we don't have to get too close at first." Or Léo would gladly volunteer to distract the dragon so someone could go strap a harness on him. That worked too.
After giving Leo a wink Charlotte got up to put on her dragon gloves and make her way over to Mister Adara. Who was....good looking to say the least. Another reason do good today. Motivation was on point. Looking around to see who was in her group the brunette noticed a guy looking over....Mordred, wasnt it? Was he looking at her? Just in case he did she gave him a smile.
Oh another question....okay Charlotte, time to think. Hmmmm...."I would say a levitating charm could be useful. Since getting close to the dragon can be dangerous and you can cast the charm from a distance."
elephant-astic•wanderlust•stay in the ninedaaays the original Taco Belle•look at the flowers✿
Ah see? Tancred was already doing a lovely job with the kids. Harmony stayed off to the side but remained within ear shot in case she was needed. For now she was trying to memorize names and faces in case any of these lovely students ended up in her department one day. Little recruits, they were!
...
Ella listened carefully to Mr. Adara-err Tancred while he told them what they'd be doing. The blonde also made sure to tug on her gloves securely, being careful to have her sleeves tucked into them so no skin was exposed. She'd learned from Williamson that baby dragons could attack when they felt threatened and the blonde didn't want to take any chances.
"I also think the placement charm would be useful. Mostly because it'll allow us to both move the harness and fasten it to Bandit without getting too close. " Where as the levitation charm would just make the harness fly, yeah?
Well before even putting now his gloves and calling him Tancred. He was going to make sure his hair was up tight in his ponytail. Don't want a hair catastrophe nope. That was second worse to getting burned. A quick check to the hair had calmed Nigel. His hair was still perfect. Now onto putting on his gloves. Did not want any cuts or burns on his perfect skin. Just look at it and his hair while you are at it.
Oh question.
"Placement Charm. To much risk with the levitation charm. Bandit could move or sense the harness and try to destroy it"
That is if Bandit hated harnesses or just likes destroying things and who doesn't

Mordred returned William’s grin with his own, and added a nod to acknowledge his mini-speech. Yep, he was one of those students who was lucky enough to be under his tutelage during his short stint at Hogwarts. It was a short one, but it had a very strong impact on the young man. Who would have thought that he’d pursue Dragonology over being an Auror?
The former Slytherin retrieved his own dragonhide gloves and donned it as William proceeded with some friendly reminders. Tucking his hands behind him, Mordred listened to his former professor as he asked questions. Well, would you look at that? It feels like he’s back in Hogwarts, only this time, he’s with overgrown students. “Mordred Mordaunt.” Future dragonlord, thank you. “One can use a Placement Charm to apply the dragon’s harness around its body,” though they do have to work as a group to do that, yeah? “I’m not sure though, as to why a particular dragon, Bunny, would need a harness, but in general, it is used by dragonkeepers to ride on the dragon's back and safely observe the beast while in flight.” Mordred wasn’t sure if it’s common practice in other reserves to ride a dragon, but it is being done in Russia. Not as much as he wants to, though.

Tiberius pulled his gloves from his back pocket and slipped them on quickly. He watched particularly carefully how the man offered direction and instruction. Tiberius had been told he'd be expected to teach a section when he returned to Cairo, and so he was making mental notes about teaching style in addition to anything that would help him survive his fieldwork. So the man had taught at Hogwarts... interesting. It had clearly been after he'd left.
So far, the instructions had seemed similar to those Tiberius had observed with most creatures of a more dangerous persuasion. Quiet. Slow.
"Tiberius Pryce," he offered by way of introduction. "Advanced studies at Cairo, though first time with dragons" he added, providing some context to why someone his age was at what was clearly an introductory seminar.
But when it came to the question, Tiberius kept silent. It was more important for the others to interact. He would observe.

Which mostly involved him making faces and taking them on walks.
"Okay, yes, you're all on the right track," William was pleased as a sunbathing kneazle that his former student had answered first and most correctly. "One of you said something about domestication... Freya, was it?" He gave her a nod. "Bunny here has been with Gringotts so long that she is about as close as it gets to a domesticated dragon. And since we can't take her outside the bank, she has to get her exercise somehow. Thus... the need for a harness."
He stepped back into the gloom, lighting up his wand to point at the well-worn harness just to the side. Only a little light was needed to see it, and again, they did not want to disturb the dragon by having everyone light up their wands at once.
"Now, out in the field, as those of you who have been working with dragons know, we generally use ropes and chains, those kind of restraints to capture dragons. ESPECIALLY dragons who are on the attack. But with Bunny, we should be able to get along fine with a harness and some leashes, or maybe even reins for a ride." He glanced at the two whispering Gringotts workers to see if they even had permission to do that.
But for now, back to the students. "Tiberius," that had been the older lad's name, yes? "Why don't you and.... Bryce do me a faovr and try to lift the harness onto Bunny? I prefer the placement charm but if you're more confident with levitation, then by all means, have at it." He took a step away from the harness to allow the young men room to operate. Heh. Go on then.

Mordred took mental notes as William explained some things to them. So he was right, and that made him feel really good because his voluntary work in the Russian reserve was paying off. The third year dragonology student looked around to look at Bryce and Tiberius, but his eyes caught the woman named Charlotte look and gave him a smile. He gave her a polite nod to acknowledge her smile, and followed William to give room to the other guys.
As he stood by his former professor, Mordred crossed his arms and leaned closer to the man to ask his question. "When you said about domestication, does that mean Bunny's environment has a direct effect to actually tame the beast?" Oh yes, questions. He's got 'em. "You can't actually tame one, right...sir?" Awkward. Mordred felt like he was back in Hogwarts, only this time he was getting close to having William as a colleague. Nonetheless, the awkwardness and the respect remained.

questions for Bryce & Williamson (also is there a desc. of placement anywhere?)
Granddaddy Ravenclaw | | Jermione Granger
Tiberius was, admittedly, a little startled when Williamson asked him and Bryce to put the harness on. He told himself he probably should have expected it. Even if he had no experience with dragons, it was obvious that he was older and might be assumed he had some skill with creatures in general. Slipping his wand from his back pocket, he held it loosely in his right hand.
Stepping forward, he looked at the harness, then at Williamson, then to Bryce, and then finally to Bunny. Brow furrowed in concentration, he spoke, directing the comment to Bryce. "I'm fine with either, but since we were asked to do it together, do you have a preference?"
If the placement charm was what Williamson preferred, then that's what Tiberius wanted to experience, as it was likely preferred by others, as well. BUT, if a levitation charm was more comfortable for Bryce, well, Tiberius preferred that Bunny not snack on him, so a levitation charm it would be.
Turning back to Williamson, Tiberius grinned. "Any advice for not ending up on the lunch menu?"
Charlotte just listened to the older students speak and made mental notes....well it was definitely showing that dragons werent her major...but thats what she was here for. To learn more about them and how to handle them.
Hopefully she wouldnt look to stupid through out this seminar but not voicing an opinion wasnt an possibility either. Oh well...there were loads of questions to give answers to that made her shine. Or something.
Watching her good looking guide she waited for further instructions.
Jake laughed lightly and shook his head. "I have no idea," he said, his voice also a whisper. "Should be fun to watch, though. I mean. As long as none of them get eaten. Or blow-torched." Both would be bad. Good thing they were unlikely.

Oh. They were going to ride them now? He looked up when he heard that, catching the man's look over toward him and Colin. Jake nodded, half-smiling. Sure, they could ride Bunny. Why not. Everyone signed waivers, so...
Plus, Bunny was usually a relatively harmless dragon. She'd eaten this morning. And Colin had clankers.
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite
As close to domestication as they'd ever get her, huh? Spyro was domesticated too...sorta....except that he bit when he wasn't meant to...and charred her hair on the odd occasion but even then, he could have grown to be a FINE dragon if they hadn't taken him away from her before he could get very big. You sneak into the mountains, bring back and egg then suddenly you're the bad guy. Pfft.
Freya watched William light his wand and move closer. They...they were harnessing Bunny now? Before she could so much as give a vowel in her sentence, he was asking the men to do the harnessing. Sure. She saw how it is.
The 20 year old folded her arms and watched because that's all she'd be doing for now apparently but don't get it wrong, t'was an eager sort of look as she waited for them to go ahead. "I'm just as curious as Mordred." THAT WAS HIS NAME RIGHT??? "They say you can't actually tame them but....yeah..." She wanted a dragon dammit and the boyfriend would hardly let her move one in with them if there was NO WAY of proper domestication.

Chris listened and was honestly curious as to how well the harnessing worked. "I'm guessing it's like other wild animals. You can be there enough that they're comfortable with your existence, but the relationship will never be more than that. They won't bond. You won't be able to be... one hundred percent safe around them." That was just his opinion though. Was the ministry dude even taking opinions? He wasn't exactly sure how this all worked.
He glanced over his shoulder at Ella. He'd feel somewhat responsible if she got eaten so he wanted to just take quick peek in her direction.
"So, if she's used to a harness then we should be relatively safe?" He posed that last bit as a question and glanced at the Bank's people. They didn't look like the type to ride their little bank pets around. Hm. Still worth it. How often did you get the chance to ride a dragon around a bank.

WHAT?!
Bryce felt like his eyes grew ten times wider when Mr. Williamson asked him and the Tiberius fellow to levitate the harness onto Bunny. He's usually the one to stay back and observe! This is what he gets for trying to contribute to the group. SIGH. He shifted his head towards Tiberius, "Honestly," shifted towards William, "Honestly," back to Tiberius, "Honestly, I was just asking a question! I didn't actually mean that I liked using the levitation charm for things like this. The placement charm is-is the way to go." Also safest way to go!
... And above that he had to do it in front of all these people???
Kid looked scared. Tiberius took a step back toward the group and turned to Bryce. "Whoa, whoa," he said, holding his palms up toward the (slightly?) panicky young man. "It'll be fine. We can do the placement charm." But not if you're going to wig out, he wanted to add.
He made no movement to start the process, though. He was not doing this on his own or with someone who could freak out mid-placement and get them eaten. Or burned. Or stomped underfoot. Or sliced open. Or... yeah. Best not to mention any of these things. For his part, Tiberius appeared rather cool and collected, though there was the tiniest hint of perspiration beading at his temples.
Turning his back on the group, he looked to Williamson expectantly. Give us some instruction, dragon-expert man.

"Yes....you're all correct," William replied quietly to Mordred, Chris, and Freya. "Look at the creatures that live in the dark... moles, voles... they don't need eyesight because they have adapted to their environment and developed their senses in other ways. Think about if you lived in a place with higher elevation; you too would adapt to the air pressure over time. Likewise, Bunny has adapted to her environment and lifestyle and all the humans in Gringotts. She hasn't exactly had to hunt for her own food in recent years..."
That probably wasn't encouraging to the lads putting the harness on her, was it? Oh well, they would be fiiiiiiine. But back to the other two, because he just had LOADS to share on this topic---
"No, you can't actually tame a dragon. Bunny has lived around humans for a long time but she's an exception. It would take years of breeding and hatching and training to domesticate a breed, and that is NOT what we want for dragons." There were few enough left in the wild as it was, even IF the idea of a carefully breeded lap-dog-sized dragon pet was tempting.
Now, was the harness going on today, or...? "Come on, Tiberius, Bryce. You'll be fine. I'm right behind you with backup." He even pointed his (still lit) wand at them to show his support. See? Backup. "Just keep your distance, remain calm, and stay focused. It only takes a minute to do." Plus, Bunny had a thick hide. She wouldn't feel a thing ...if they did it correctly.

Okay, fine. There was a change the he was about to become dragon chow and apparently, that's just fine. Levitating instead of placing, for some reason, was going to happen. And it had to happen soon because Willy over here was getting impatient, it seemed.
Bryce took a deeeeeeeep breath, exhaled it slowly, and then sent positioned himself rightly. He pointed his wand at the harness and then sent a nod over to Tiberius. Let's do this thing.

That’s actually true. Rugarth, after years of being escorted every migration month didn’t mind having witches and wizards flying with him on fast brooms. It sort of, became a tradition already actually. Mordred kept in mind the clarification that William told them, and proceeded to watch the two men hesitate. He wouldn’t blame the two if they did, because it’s not every day that they get to harness a full grown dragon. He personally hasn’t experienced putting one on a 20+ feet beast, not even Rugarth.
Mordred slowly, and discreetly got his wand out too to back up William. He may not be as experienced as the man beside him, but he will jump into action if needed. The former Hogwarts student folded his arms across his chest to hide his wand, and continued to watch.
