| | Break Room Although the coffee inside the metal tins on top of the counter isn't as premium blend as the stuff in the work room, it's still good enough to go for a second cup. Right next to the black metal tins of coffee are silver metal tins full of decent tea. It's quality isn't very good, as coffee, somehow, seems to be the preferred drink for the journalists of the Daily Prophet.
A small fridge is in place opposite of the counter and sink. Amongst the items inside are bottles of exploding lemonade, most likely belonging to the journalist always too eager to take on dangerous assignments. He never notices when one goes missing. There are also small lunch bags possibly from those who are low on cash or simply have a taste for homemade food. Occasionally, the small round table is graced with a box of donuts or pastries.
The pair of dingy yellow couches look worn and old, but they're actually a great deal more comfortable than the chair at your desk and good for gathering with fellows for gossip. Too much time shouldn't be spent gossiping in here though, there's work to be done after all.

| Anyone? Prague and Paris had been wonderful... and the company even better, and he would be lying if he said it hadn't been difficult to tear himself away from Garrett and return to work. Ugh. BUT he had dinner to look forward to so that was something. The former Slytherin had also gotten past his writer's block and found some inspiration while he was away. Needless to say, it had been a perfect getaway with a perfect guy.
Not that he would be sharing this with any of his coworkers... in fact, he had not taken much time to get to know them all that well. He was in and out of the offices so frequently that he barely exchanged greetings with most of them. Wow... perhaps he should remedy that.
But probably not...
Smiling to himself, the Scotsman went about starting a pot of coffee and staring at a spot on the wall. Yep. This was his break time. |

Smiling to himself, the Scotsman went about starting a pot of coffee and staring at a spot on the wall. Yep. This was his break time. Things either were up or they were down when it came to Jorge and the Daily Prophet today was one of those days he was struggling with his paranoia and the building. When the thing burned to the ground right there should have told them to move it from the spot, but no they kept it and rebuilt it right where all the problems started. He had a dream the night before of that office and that night, poor Basil, but now he was at work and he had to get it out of his head.
Moving into the break room he wasn't really expecting anyone so when he saw a man standing there it took a moment, "Oh hello, how are things?" He wondered if he had just gotten back knowing his employee traveled for articles he didn't really keep track of when they were in the office and when they were out. Jorge liked to believe they were all adults and could handle themselves and as long as articles were being written and the paper was still moving that's all that mattered. "Is there enough coffee that I could possibly get a cup." That's what he really needed at the moment.

Jorge liked to believe they were all adults and could handle themselves and as long as articles were being written and the paper was still moving that's all that mattered. "Is there enough coffee that I could possibly get a cup." That's what he really needed at the moment. Pulled from his thoughts of his boyfriend, Simon offered the Editor a smile and a nod. "Things are well, thanks for asking. Just back in from Tortola," he added the latter as an after thought. He was sure the man didn't really care where he had been or what he had been doing so long as he cranked out articles when asked for them and the bill for his travels didn't get too lofty. Since he was a travel writer that meant he had some perks, after all.
"Yeah. I ain't gonna have the whole pot. How are things with you? Anything good been published lately?" He was not good at idle chit chat, never had been. Also, he had been too wrapped up in his company to really follow the paper. Heh. "It's getting close to summer time and the horrible kids will be running about the alley... that's the pits innit?" The man could interject anytime... else he would continue talking about random nonsense. |

I love to travel, but don't do it much anymore with the kids and the responsibilities here." Plus with the magazine he had taken on between when he worked her before and taking the editor position. "Got some good material I hope?" He figured he did though, he knew his journalist were all very good at what they did, which made him even more proud to have taken over here and seen the Daily Prophet go back to what it was.
Good, good he could get some coffee, that was needed to get through the day. "We've had some school things going on, but I think there is always something with that school." He had never been a fan of Hogwarts, but even Jorge had to admit he liked what was going on lately with the more strict policies coming out. "Not a kid person?" He gave a little brow raise at that, maybe this was a good time to warn him about the youth writers thing that would be going on this summer. "I don't mind it too much I guess. My daughter will be back from school, plus we will be hosting a youth writers night this summer." He had been working on that for a bit.

| Tortola had been magnificent since he had taken the boyfriend for a getaway... but he had also gotten some good material, yes. So the many nodded as he grabbed the coffee pot and poured himself a cup. "It was a bit for pleasure and for work this one. Needed a break after Christmas. Me parents came into town and me little bruvver tagged along. Stressful." Not that his little brother was exactly little. Just younger than he was by about 5 years.
School things. This gained an eyebrow quirk from the writer, but not much else for the moment. He, instead, sipped his coffee and thought back to his days at Hogwarts. Sure it had been crazy... but none of the nonsense that seemed to have been happening there the past few years. And then he mentioned his daughter would be coming home and his brows nearly shot up to his hairline. "She doesn't go to Hogwarts, does she?" That was a frightening thought, really!
And now the coffee nearly shot from his nose when he mentioned youth writers night... "Jorge... no. Please don't make me participate in that. I really don't care for kids. Especially teenagers." |

He nodded as he listened about the trip and smiled a little, "Aren't all business trips a little pleasure? If they weren't they wouldn't be fun. Plus it's the bonus of traveling for work." He knew he had some fun on trips for work and didn't expect anything less of his employees. "Do you have any recommendations for things to see there if I'd like to take my wife?"
A laugh was released as he spoke about his family being stressful, Jorge had a bigger family so he was aware of how it could be, though he didn't mind his family that much and now that his younger brother was living in London now too, it wasn't too bad. "Family can change the atmosphere a bit."Though he wouldn't say no if his would come from Spain. "No, no Regina goes to school in Brazil where our other home is." He would never send his kids to Hogwarts, though things seemed to be turning around there lately.
Stepping back so coffee wasn't spat on him he couldn't help but laugh. "No you don't have to be here." He could always head on another trip or something.

| Simon didn't used to mix business and pleasure, but it was very different now... being in love and not wanting to be away from Garrett more than he had to be meant he traveled with him often. And that had made all the difference in the world. They were both busy with various things, so it was vital to make that time work for them. "I have met so many people whilst traveling around the world, that's the biggest perk for me." And going to the prophet meant he had moved to London and met his love and yeah... timing. "I'll email you a list of places to see. Hell... maybe I'll write a piece on The British Virgin Islands," he added as an afterthought.
Simon nodded as he sipped his coffee, a smile tugging the corners of his mouth. Family was indeed stressful, but it was a necessary evil. Heh. "Well. good that. I wouldn't dare send a child to Hogwarts in this climate. Always something terrible happening," he said with shake of the head. It was a death trap. it was. But really, Simon didn't have to worry about children.
Nope.
"Praise be to Merlin. I will find a reason to be out of office around then," he laughed, dragging his free hand through his wild hair. "Any other plans for summer?" |

"Praise be to Merlin. I will find a reason to be out of office around then," he laughed, dragging his free hand through his wild hair. "Any other plans for summer?" There was some amusement Jorge could see with this conversation. Simon reminded him of himself in some ways. Trips for work were always something he looked forward to and did very often until he settled down, something he never thought he would do either. He had enjoyed the single life, but now looking back he didn't know how he lived without his family. His wife was one of the best things to ever happen to him. "I look forward to see it. It might not be a bad idea with summer coming to write an article about the top most romantic places to visit. Our young readers might enjoy that." He might take some notes for his own trips with his wife. "I just hope the new ways stay. All the firing and hiring these stricter professors. It seems that Hogwarts might actually get their stuff together." He knew his wife was an alumni there and though he never went to the school and didn't want his children there he had family there and things seemed to be getting better.
How could he not laugh, "These will be teenagers that are looking for writing role models, it won't be that bad and it wouldn't hurt you to be there. I bet there will be a few that look up to you and your travels." Though he wouldn't get upset if he wasn't there either.
