Who wants to walk around eating ice cream when you can sit inside a nice, comfortable, temperature-controlled building to do it? The tables scattered throughout the interior, with their matching soft blue leather chairs, can be moved together or apart depending upon the size of your party. The blue leather booths that line the wall, while traditionally sized for seating four, are capable of magically extending themselves a bit more to accommodate up to eight should you have a large group. Have a seat, enjoy your ice cream and friends, and while the surfaces in the shop are charmed to resist staining, please do make sure to clean up any messes you might make before they set in! A napkin dispenser can be found at every table, along with a small wooden stand bearing spare plastic spoons and a bunch of small, prepackaged wet-wipes to help clean up those sticky hands.
Hadley scratched her head. That was a tricky question. "Um, well...My Mom's really supportive, but my Dad...He kinda freaked out over it. Tried to keep me away from anything related to Hogwarts or the wizarding community after my first year..." And yeah. It hadn't been a pleasant summer. "He's back living in California again," she added after a minute.
It made her think of California and Los Angeles and how much she missed it there. She loved Hogwarts, and her friends here, and wouldn't give either up for anything, but she did miss LA. And beaches. And surfing.
"Thanks. I'm glad to be in Hogwarts too. My Dad wanted me to go back to a muggle school, that would have been horrible. My Mom and sister basically snuck me out and onto the Hogwarts Express." She shrugged. It was over, and she was still in Hogwarts, that's what mattered. Focus on the positive, that was what she was learning in therapy.
"I don't know." She honestly doubted Hirsch was in Ravenclaw. And if he was, he was probably like her: fit, but also didn't fit. "Does it matter if they weren't in the same house?" Not that it really made a difference. The more she thought of it the more she was sure Primeaux would be the HoH. Hadley vaguely wondered if that would make detentions with him better or worse? "Seeing that side of your uncle will be interesting. I wonder what kind of fun thing he'd have planned for us."
Chocolate frog with cookies crushed on top? "That sounds really good. I might try that today instead." She gave him a nod of thanks. "After you."
Mel’s eyes lit up with laughter when he said he was scared, still, yes she was sorry she had scared him but still he was fun. “I’m sorry I scared you,” she grinned at up at him because really EVERYONE on earth seemed to be taller than her….well not Melody but she was a baby and she’d only known her for like a day?
Turning her attention back to Carl she just grinned. “Really? You mean that! I’d love it…I mean I love movies…muggle action movies are my favorites” she admitted with a beam “oh….no that’s a lie its anything funny usually especially funny action movies” she beamed at him. “The only sport I really know is quidditch…oh like water polo and and volleyball?” She grinned up at him.
Puppies were the best, “you should visit them with me…next year I’m going to try and either get a job there or well…dog sitting? We could do it together make money for fun things when we’re at school?” She shrugged her shoulder and beamed at him. “I tried to, he didn’t give many answers he was all” she paused for a moment before trying to deepen her voice to match Shep’s “that is a personal question Melbourne…it sounded very scold-y?” She looked up at him and felt her stomach flutter nervously as he had said he was touched by how she didn’t want him to change. That was good. She was glad of that.
“Well…I meant it, I still do…but change is good right?” She beamed at him she cared about him, really, and that made her all nervous at times…like telling him not to change nervous. “Um…it was nice I got to meet my absolute favorite quidditch players!” She grinned and then added, “And Mika’s best friend is like this totally wicked witch…really…I’m surprised they’re friends even? She was all…dark and mysterious and I’d love to be like her one day all strong and sure of myself?” She grinned and then flushed at the ice cream comment. “Sure…um…what kind are you getting?....the butterbeer one is pretty good” she grinned.

She was still debating between her two usual flavors, and would have been amused to know that Kat had an aversion to blueberries as well, but the younger girl's mention of chocolate helped her seal the deal. "I think..I'll go for a scoop of cherry chocolate chip," she nodded, tapping her chin with her index finger to see if the words tasted as good as the memory of the flavor did on her tongue.
"It is...but the more I do it the more it just feels right," she nodded. She had been incredibly divided on where to shift her focus, writing or healing. University offered great courses in both, but there was the lingering fear of picking the 'wrong' passion. Picking the one and it turning into something you came to hate because of the pressures of success. It was one of the things she had come to admire about Noel so much, and why her cheeks were currently rising in color at that moment, his passion and his drive for his craft.
Blushing ceased when she heard THAT, however. "Hospital stay?!" You can't just casually bring that sort of thing up like it's no big deal, Katerina!
Katerina considered Paige's choice in ice cream, strawberries had always been her deal breaker, strawberries was just no. And so was blueberries a no. But cherry she could handle. She loved chocolate covered cherries at christmas time. " Now that is something I could also enjoy." She pretty much had her at chocolate. She titled her head watching Paige thoughtfully. Was she having second thoughts on ice cream flavors, because this happened to the third year ALL the time.
Beaming eyes because Paige get to be all grown up, Luckily did she know that? "That's great its like you were meant to do it" Katerina was probably getting ahead of herself. But if Paige was enjoying what she was doing at her internship then Katerina was happy for her.
The third year blinked, was that Paige blushing? Did Kat do that a lot too? blush hehe. "Oh My horse I fell off of my horse. Broke my arm and got a pretty nice concussion." She looked at Paige, She was okay, alive and breathing now so she was all good,

"I don't know, I could maybe hint for some things if you want. I should be seeing him soon." They were always having family dinners and things.

Hads nodded. "Yeah, I told Kitridge about it when I got back to school, after I got into trouble for not having my robes during the feast." Yeah, that had been an interesting conversation. "But I really didn't tell Primeaux..." Unless you count that time she broke down during detention, at which point he probably figured out a bit of it on his own. "I'm glad I'm not in muggle school either." That would have been horrible.
"Yep, from Los Angeles. Born, and mostly raised." She did move to England when she was 10. "It's a great place. You should try to visit sometime. The amusement parks are a must!" Canada, eh? "Have you ever been to Canada? Visit your family there or something?" She'd never been to Canada, herself, but it looked pretty.
Hadley shrugged. "I don't know. I think they'd have house pride in the house they head would kick in." She knew it would for her. Probably. Maybe. "It'd probably work out well, I think." Or maybe not. "What house was Myers in?" Hint something? That'd be cool, but she really didn't know what to have him hint. Oh! "Maybe something like that first Charms class when we got to climb the walls and everything! That was fun."
Oh. Hadley reached into the her pocket and pulled out a handful of coins. "Sure. This should cover it I think. Thanks." Hadley turned and sat down at the nearest vacant booth and waited.

Laughing, Carl also ruffled Mel's hair. He hoped she did not mind - he knew a lot of girls hated it when people touched their hair (not that he had done it before). "It's okay! I'm glad to see you." He said with a grin.
The Badger nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, I do. I love movies too! You like Star Wars as well, right? I have all of them at home." They had talked about movies in their First Year and had discovered their mutual liking for them. "Oh, so do you play Quidditch now that we are not at school?" He asked. Muggle sports were fun, but he thought Wizarding ones were much better. He could not play Quidditch well, but he knew he would enjoy watching and cheering in a game.
He listened as Mel spoke about puppy plans. "Wow, that would be great! I have never considered it, but it would be really nice to get a summer job relating to animals." Dog-sitting would be a lot of fun. And the money they earned could also be used for fun things! "Yeah, like Hogsmeade trips!" Oh... and Mr Werewolf did not give many answers. "Of course. It must be super personal." He nodded, trying to sound serious as well but grinning at Mel's imitation of the man.
"Yep. I will change if it's a really good change." Carl said, smiling. He was genuinely grateful that Mel cared so much about him. "Really? Do they know Quidditch players?" That was so cool! And apparently Mika had another cool friend. "Dark? Like... she is a Dark Witch?" If that was the case, she would be cool but a bit scary. "Oh, I was thinking of Chocolate Frog. And a scoop of Butterbeer! Are you getting the Butterbeer flavor as well?" He grinned. The smell of ice cream all around him was really tempting.
"I de pwetteh pwincess!" she beamed up at Mummy, pulling her curls over her shoulder and well out of her brother's reach. He was growing MUCH too quickly. She was the bigger one! HMPH. Maybe she'd get Mummy to braid it when they went to sit down. That'd serve Dom right!
But for now, more decisions needed to be made. Daddy needed ice cream too, and Mummy asked HER to choose! This was a very important task indeed. She pressed her face up against the case again as she chewed on her lip thoughtfully. What did Daddy like that she also wanted to try?
"What's dat one?" she asked, pointing to a green one. Daddy liked green cos he worked in a greenhouse wiff all his plants!
"You can choose me a scoop each," Spike confirmed, not the least bit concerned about his kids choosing for him. He'd never come across an ice-cream in the cabinet he didn't like, save for a couple of unfortunate Bertie Bott's encounters. Instead he just grinned at his wife. Was this a ploy to get him to hurry up with choosing? Or did she think Sephi would choose him something a little less weird?
...if the latter, it had clearly already failed. "Jalapeno," he replied with a glance as his wife, clearly amused.
He'd let Addy explain though, since Dom was giving him the biggest, most excited smile ever which just couldn't be ignored. "Chocolate with sprinkles and syrup? Awesome choice!" Spike said with a grin, bending down to his youngest. "With the chocolate frogs?" He pointed to the tub through the glass. "Or the plain one?" Nope, he wasn't even giving the sugar-free one as an option. They were having the PROPER ice cream experience.
Dom poked his tongue out at Sephi again, but quickly turned his attention back to his dad. TALLEST DAD IN THE WORLD WAS TAAAALLLL! OH!! But he came down to Dom's level! Daddy was awesome like that! And it just got serious again! OH MAN!
Important question was important!
Dominic took a moment to think about that one.. and then held 2 fingers up at his dad and giggled before saying, "BOFF!" He wanted ALL of the chocolate! And the fwoggies! Was that okay? Dad got a hug just in case!
Addy didn't have a plan in mind, actually. She just thought the kids would have fun with it. "Jalapeno ice cream it is, then!" She exclaimed to Sephi before stroking her hair again. HEHEH. Spike was such a good sport. "Now, which color do you want Mummy to have?" This should be interesting. But really... Seph would probably choose PINK. And Addy was okay with that, too. Hehe.
"Both?!" Spike gave a fake gasp at his son, mouth aghast. "Well, let me think about that..." He scratched his chin thoughtfully as Dom wrapped him in a hug. "Well, with a BIG hug like that, of course you can. All the chocolate and froggies for you, lil fella!"
Spike grinned, still squatting, and ruffled his ickle's hair. "And what do you think Daddy should have?"
"Hal-o-pin-oh?" Sephi repeated, looking doubtfully at Mummy. She hadn't heard of that one before! "Dat's the gween one, yes?" It HAD to be the green one for Daddy and all the pwants he grew! "I fink he have spwinkles too."
And then ANOTHER big decision! It should be pwink for Mummy, yes? But which one? Stwawbewwy? She tiptoed along the edge of the freezer, nose still pressed against the glass. It had to be a different pwink for Mummy, not one of the ones she had chosen.
...and then she saw it. "WAINBOW! Mummy has WAINBOW!"

Yup. Still tasted as good on her tongue which meant she had made her decision in full. So much thought going into the selection of something as simple as a flavor of ice cream...maybe Paige needed to figure out a better stress outlet than the methods she was currently utilizing. "You've never had it before?" Her word choice implied perhaps not. "It's my step father's favorite. I hadn't ever considered it prior. Had been more of a sherbet person really."
Blushing a bit, because Kat's enthusiasm was not only contagious it was also flattering, she tucked some of her mousy brown hair behind her ear and smiled. "Feels that way," she nodded. The younger girl's choice of words resonating with the seventh year in a very ironic manner.

One would have thought she was a Gryffindor the way she casually spoke about her battle wounds. Meanwhile Paige was looking somewhat mortified that the little Hufflepuff had gone through all that. But then her thoughts became distracted because... "You have a horse?"

Melbourne’s smile expanded until it wasn’t clear if she was simply smiling or beaming at the Hufflepuff boy. “Is Polaris a triple star system?…I mean yes yes I love it” Melbourne flushed as she let her love of the star systems and well…more her admiration of Airey Flamsteed out on her Hufflepuff friend. She was going to be so happy to talk to Flamy again. “You have ALL of them? That is so cool!” She grinned at him as she shifted closer to her friend.
“Oh it would wouldn’t it? I’m already planning on owling my brother about it” she admitted with a small smile and nodded at the hogsmeade trip ideas only to frown at the comment about Mr.Wolf “he’s boooooring I mean like sure he has a lot of dogs and I like his dogs…but he’s like like watching paint try Carl.” She sighed at him and then laughed “and usually I really like Hufflepuffs…oh yeah he was a hufflepuff…he was an alright hugger though? Not great…nothing like well you” she felt her cheeks flush a bit at that comment but it was obvious she liked Carl’s hugs they were the best ever.
Melbourne grinned over at Carl and nodded. ”yes! I got to meet Alec Summers and and Wade Potter oh and West Odessa but I like Alec and Wade more” she admitted with a little grin. After all West was more musician than Quidditch player in her opinion. “Yeah…she’s super cool and kind of scary but she’s cool” Mel grinned at Carl. “Oh that sounds delicious…actually…I might just get the same? I don’t like making things tough on well people working the service industry I always get all nervous and panick-y whenever I want a complicated thing” even though ice cream was probably far from complicated.

She was more than happy for her niece, however, even though the shock of the news had been rather WOW. At least things seemed to be going well with Kyle despite their rather rocky relationship that was rather hard to keep track of. Finally some stability because things had been rather headache educing.

It wasn't his fault that he had gotten distracted by the beautiful owls as he was walking towards the ice cream shop. It was rather strange that he was even considering owls as beautiful right now, even if it was just in his head. Dragon are the most beautiful creatures on this earth. He really wished that there were a dragon shop. The plus side was owls hadn't distracted him as much as if there was a dragon shop.
Warren Duchannes ran down the street towards Florean Fortescue's ice cream shop. As soon as he made it to the door he began to catch his breath. He didn't want to see like he was out of breath and in a panic. Warren opened the door and stepped into the shop. He looked around for Arielle and Kyra, his green eyes scanned around the room. After a moment or two of searching he finally spotted the both of them. He walked over to the booths and slide in next to Arielle.
"Howdy ladies." He tipped his tan cowboy hat and smile at the bother of them. "I'm sorry I'm late, I was stuck at work." The Southern man shrugged but still had a smile on his face as always. He was a happy person. Nobody was going to bring his sunshine down. Nah uhhhh! "I have some news!!" He paused for dramatic affect! "I'm a dad!!" Kyra was tired, but she tried her best not to show it because she wanted to be excited about her little date with Auntie Ari and Warren. Between growing a little human inside her and still doing shows in New York, it was finally starting to wear on her. She knew that she was going to have to take maternity leave at some point, but she was not ready to face it yet. She still had a few more weeks to go before she started to really show, right...?
She sat down in the booth that her Aunt had chosen and scanned over the list of ice cream flavors. "Anything with strawberry in it," she answered. "No chocolate." The thought of chocolate made her sick. She placed her big purse between her and the wall as she looked around. "When is Wa -"

She smiled when her friend... ahem, possibly future Uncle, perhaps? ... entered the shop. "You got yourself a good one," she whispered to her aunt before Warren arrived at the table. She was not even certain whether the two were dating or not, but if they were, she wanted to be the first one to note how CUTE they were! "Hey, Warren!" She exclaimed as she turned her attention to the man. "A... baby? You don't mean a human one, right?" Merlin, help them all if that be the case.

No surprise that Kyra had wanted strawberry ice cream; Arielle had expected it.
Nodding, she was about to head to the counter and place the order when Warren arrived. He was slightly late but that didn't matter. She was just happy that he was here now. She laughed at what her niece said because it was true that he was great. He was also a father apparently. Clearly a dragon had been born since he DID work with them for a living. Now she was laughing for real. "Not unless dragons are human." It really was great news though; she was happy for him. "Well, I guess this is celebratory ice cream! For human AND dragon babies." Seemed like a great idea to her.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

He shrugged to himself as he stood by an open booth and waited for the remaining party to arrive. Did he mention that one of the three coming in was Agatha Hapgood. That was Terrifying.

Agatha was excited, it was true. That didn't mean she would let it show, though. Especially not until Messer got there himself.
She didn't show up too early because she didn't want anyone thinking she was too keen. She was, however, a little early, but at least it gave her the opportunity to fix her hair and make up again, what with all of the traveling to get there. Muggle means of transportation were disgusting, but at least they didn't ruin her hair too much like Apparating and using Floo Powder. Good thing that she didn't have to come all the way from Austria that day, though. That would've been a problem.
Once she was near the Ice Cream Parlour, she made a face. Aegis seemed to be the only one there for now. Great. Just great. Not only was she early when she didn't want to be, she would have to 'mingle' with him.
Urgh.
You know what? No, she didn't have to mingle with annoying Aegis. She would stay far from his sight for now. Two shops down the road seemed far enough to keep herself from being spotted by him. Yeah, that seemed to be the perfect plan.

She didn't wait long before she saw the siblings coming. She took her time looking at the shop display window to make sure she looked perfect - guess what, she did. After making a few attractive faces at herself, she flipped her hair and solemnly made her way to the ice cream parlour.
Not in a hurry at all, Agatha also took her time getting there. It amused her how Messer was acting towards Aegis and she couldn't help but smirk. Another thing their shared: annoyance towards Aegis. See, Agatha and Messer went meant to be. Ballet dancers and... you know, not liking Aegis to a certain degree. Perfect.
She approached the group slowly and solemnly, waiting for one of them to acknowledge her instead of speaking up first.

Maybe she got cold feet and just bailed on them. Something he could hold against her in the near future now. That gave Aegis an small smile on his face.
Which turned even larger when the Messers showed up.
ummm....Did Ed just spat his Last name out? Kinda rude sounding too. Should he do the same? Would that be wise? Maybe he hadn't meant for it to sound so rude...you know Hufflepuffs and their instant regret for how things come out.
Buuuuuuuut. Also, Ed had all right to probably speak his last name the ways he did...soooooo. "Messer." He responded back, with a less rude tone, but enough to match his calling him by the Last Name. The he peeked behind the Former Badger to his Date. "Candice." he said with a smile. He did a head movement to see if he could get her to poke around her older brother so he could give her a more appropriate greeting a lady such as herself deserves.
His Eyes wandered behind Candice and spotted. Agatha making faces through the display case outside. He rolled his eyes and was just happy she didn't ditch them. Good thing she came in too, but he wasn't going to greet her. She probably would rather he not speak to her.

I think it's that time of the month." Oh. And look who decided to join them. "Agatha." She gave her a Hello nod. She was waiting for her brother to say something to Agatha but it seem he's to busy glaring at Aegis. "Look Teddy, Agatha is here." She told him. She pushed her brother aside and went towards Aegis to give him a quick peck on the cheek.
That greeting sounds rude. But he deserved it. Messer was thinking to hex him into oblivion but Dane was not worth the effort. He was too busy glaring at the former Gryffindor to notice Agatha arrival. And he's not too happy that Candice pushed him aside to get to Dane. WTH! But, "Hello, Agatha." He gave her a small smile. "Its good to see you again. How are you?" And he did notice the weird atmosphere between Agatha and Dane. Did he miss something? So this mean he and Agatha were in the same team today?

Agatha could tell Aegis had noticed her - he was not a discreet person at all - and she narrowed her eyes at him for a brief second because he had chosen to ignore her. So rude. And then he wondered why she wasn't that fond of him. Hmph. Good with the ladies, yeah right.
She did overhear Candice calling Messer 'Teddy' and gave them both an odd look. Teddy? How did that relate to... Edvard? That was his first name, right? Maybe it was a sibling thing. How weird. "Candice." She politely replied to the girl and immediately looked at Messer when he acknowledged her, her face slightly more lit up. "Hello, Messer." Agatha was not going to lose her cool, even though she was really excited to see him again. It was not lady-like to appear too eager. "I'm fine, thanks for asking. How are you?" And gross, Candice gave Aegis a kiss on the cheek. Agatha gave them an unimpressed look before turning her full attention to whom really mattered: Messer. "Long time no see, how has life been treating you? Still dancing?" Most important things first.

Days like today were the best thing about summer, Lilah couldn't help but think, absent-mindedly licking chocolate ice cream off the end of one of her fingers. Mornings spent at Stemp house crafting with Nana Stemp and the littlies, and afternoons with Ringo eating ice cream. She was smiling without even realising it, the thought of being roped into Saffron's "let's punish Corbin for existing" plans pushed to the back of her mind.
For now. Of course, she did want to meet Lucy properly, but couldn't imagine how awkward that was ultimately going to be, so hadn't brought it up to her eldest brother just yet. Instead she was focusing on her second eldest brother, who she got to see a lot less than she would have liked at school: it still hurt her slightly that she wasn't in Ravenclaw with him, even if apparently she was the perfect Hufflepuff.

His mind had been with the stack of textbooks he had yet to buy as he left his ice cream to melt and drip over his wrist. Ringo had chosen a simple vanilla ice cream, after learning that he was allergic to more than one flavour last year. The boils on his neck were enough to put anyone off, but Lilah and he had a tradition and he would not let those boils interfere with it. Vanilla it would always be. At the call of his name, he snapped out of his distraction and raised an eyebrow at his younger sister. "Hm?"
Had she been talking at him again? Lilah did that often and Ringo was privy to being on a different planet at those very times.

Sam waited for Junia at one of the booths in the seating area. It was somewhat torturous when you were a growing boy watching everyone else in the shop order their scrumptious scoops of Florean's ice cream before your eyes... and whilst on an empty stomach. But the Gryffindor's outward appearance showed no semblance of jealousy or eagerness.
He simply sat at the table with his hands in his pockets and waited.

It wasn't that Aegis was ignoring Agatha on purpose. He knew what her true intentions were for even being here. So if she wanted to focus attention on Edvard Messer more than himself she shouldn't even concern herself with how he's giving her no attention. So he just gave a smile and a nod.
and when Candice successfully pushed Edvard out of her way and pecked him on the cheek. Aegis leaned downed and kissed her cheek too. Then he raised her right hand and planted a kiss on the back of it. "It's no problem." He side-eyed Edvard. At least it shouldn't be. This was going to be a chance for recovery in his eyes. Now 'Teddy' just needed to see it that way too. "We're all here to enjoy ice cream so why don't we get right to it?"
