Listening carefully to the man, Tatelyn's head nodded along as she took it in, and protectively touched her wand as it sat in her wrist holster. "Sounds fine to me, Ben. Go ahead..." She gave permission, but knew he'd already gone ahead as his wand was waved above his head and her drawers and filing cabinet began to glow. Oh, oh OH. See, she'd always liked this spell. Glowing was pretty.
Ah, password changing. "Will do, I have backups." What woman didn't?
She decided to be quiet now, and just waited for Ben to finish up. Best not disturb a man at work? No. Best not. Seeing as the woman had nothing to say, Benjamin began with a bunch of protective spells. First he made sure that anyone outside of this room would not be able to hear inside with, Muffliato. Then he set a large shield around the office with Protego Horribilis. Then some anti bugging spells, a trip wire; for enemies, anti apparating/disapparating, and finally after about a minute, a modified taboo. "Okay... You are set to be protected for about 50 years." The man started. "There's just one thing you need to know. I've set a modified taboo on this room. When you reset your charms; and change your password, or if you add any new spells, should anyone mutter the password or deactivate the charms that isn't yourself, you will be notified." He nodded and remembered one more thing. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a sneakascope. He placed the object on Tate's desk. "That's a sneakascope. If anyone unfriendly approaches your door, it'll show there." That was it.... Pretty much.

The canvas picture of she and her stepmother caught her eye, as she caught Odette ruffling her hair in it, and Tate spent a minute or so watching that, with a smile. She wasn't oblivious to what was going on in the room. Sure, the enchantments were made nonverbally, but Tate knew as she caught the wand movements out of the corner of her eye.
As Ben spoke once more, her full attention fell back on him, and she nodded. "50 years? Wow." Not that she'd be here for fifty years, really? Heading at Department at eighty years old? Heck, maybe if she used a de-aging potion, perhaps. Haha. A modified taboo?! Tate's eyebrows furrowed as he mentioned it, utterly confused, and awaited him to explain it. Which he immediately did anyway. OH. Right. "Okay. Thank you. Really." From the bottom of her heart.
She watched him carefully as he pulled something from his pocket, and nodded slightly. "Sneakoscope, right, okay. That's brilliant." It was kinda pretty too. "Will that be all?" She asked, pretentiously, as she took a few steps in the direction of her desk, and stood between it and her filing cabinet - almost.

He smiled. Benjamin loved helping people. That was his goal in life.
He watched her moved towards her desk and the filing cabinet and he wondered why. Probably a subconscious response to all my spells, knowing she has files and secrets in there. Ben's mind whizzed as he needed to respond to the question Tate asked. "I am finished here. Just gotta help my partner with the rest of the office. He waited a moment and pondered about how Dacs was doing. "Do you need anything else?" Benjamin, was of course, there for her.

She smiled, and then nodded giving him a nice nod. She appreciated it when people just 'did their job' and it helped her. It did reassure her there were good people out there in the world. And that not all men were like her ex-husband.
Tate's mind subconciously glanced back at the canvas and smiled at Odette. She hadn't needed the spells, she told herself, well she had, but when she was at home she could see into the office anyways. The canvas shared another at her home, and of a night the people in the picture switched between her home and her office. No charms on it. It was just made that way. "That's fine." Yes, she was sure she'd heard someone else pass by the office while Ben had been placing the charms on the office. An employee, she was pretty sure. "No, i'm good, thank you Ben." She nodded, and then spoke once more. "If I need anything else, I'll be sure to come find you?" Or his partner. Possibly even Mr. Bole.

At the canvas with the picture on it. There was something curious about it. But, Benjamin placed enough protection on the room that there seemed to be nothing to worry about. He looked back to the Woman. "Of course, Ma'am. I am at your service." A comforting smile was given as to make sure that she knew that Ben was someone that can be counted on. "Have a great day, Ma'am." Benjamin stepped by the door, giving one last look at his work, before leaving the office to join Dacs...

Tate noticed her company looking at the canvas and smiled softly, before drawing her gaze away from him and back to him.
He was at her service? That was actually cute. Haha. "And yourself, Ben. Come by if you need me!" Or anything, actually. She watched as he left the office, and removed her wand from her holster before glancing at the filing cabit and non-verbally casting the charm to lock it before speaking the new password aloud. Of course, with the muffliato charm cast outside, no one walking past would hear it. Which was good.
Once she'd done that, she moved onto the drawers and cast the modified permanent sticking charm, then joined the key once more with the drawers, before placing it back into it's hiding place.
There. Her office was back to normal, plus a load of other protections.
She'd go see the work area in a bit, first off, she needed to finish something up. Besides she'd been told she wasn't needed out there.
Tate resumed her seat behind her desk and started to write.

It had been a while since Lyra had set foot in the big, bad Ministry area of Education. She and Christian had several things happen over the year yet all ended good. They were now married with a baby on the way. Things were excellent and her uncle was happy, as were herself and Christian. This time around, things were going to be different and in order for that to happen, she needed to speak to her Department Head as soon as possible.
Once again, it seemed there was a new name on the door or at least one she didn't know. Though if it wasn't about herself, Christian, her uncle or the baby on the way, she didn't really pay attention. It was hard enough being Lyra Noir Miles much less to keep up with someone else that she hardly knew. She lifted her hand and tapped lightly on the door, waiting on someone to appear.

In polar opposite fashion, to usual, Tate wasn't sat behind her desk working. She was in the middle of painting a flowerpot into bright stripes, when there was a knock on the door. She stashed the paintbrush into a pot of water, for the moment, and pulled the apron she had on, over her work robes, off. She wasn't miles from the door, it only took her a few second to get there, and as she opened it, as smile was set firmly on her face.
Aha. Someone she hadn't seen around before. "Hello there, and how may I help you Miss...." This was the downside of not knowing a lot of people. A pretty big downside.

Aha. Someone she hadn't seen around before. "Hello there, and how may I help you Miss...." This was the downside of not knowing a lot of people. A pretty big downside. Lyra was dressed to the nine's in her stylish robs. Sarcasm. She was not fond of dressing in wizarding robes as it hid her stylish figure to what she was use to showing off, though it wouldn't be around for long. Her fingers were fluffing her hair, something that kept her looking good, at least, when the door opened. A new boss.
"It's Mrs. Miles," she chimed in, allowing her new boss to take in the moment that she was NOW MARRIED. After all the years of pining over Christian, they finally met back up and he belonged to her. After fluffing her long golden locks of hair, she pushed the strands behind her shoulders and smiled. "It's been a while since I've been here but I did work in the education department before becoming sick." And sick was not the worst part of it, that was a long story all on it's own.
"But, I came to visit with you in hopes of returning, though with restrictions of course." There were certain things that were going to happen this time and she was not going to become what she was before.

"But, I came to visit with you in hopes of returning, though with restrictions of course." There were certain things that were going to happen this time and she was not going to become what she was before. Ah, it was 'Mrs', which meant the woman was married, or atleast too old to not want to be called Miss, in which Tatelyn would have suggested using Ms. But she didn't look old, anyway. Her early twenties, the older woman presumed upon first glance. "Well then, Mrs. Miles; lovely to meet you. As the door says: Tatelyn Beauchamp, Department Head. But feel free to call me Tate, i'll answer to most, really." She nodded, before brushing a loose strand of her now-growing hair behind her ear.
So, a returning employee. Interesting. Tate nodded, and pushed her door open fully, taking a step to the side. "Well, I do hope you're feeling better, indeed. Do come on in." At least that way they could get comfortable, and talk. Instead of being on the 'doorstep', so to speak. "Would you like a normal chair, or a bean bag, you never know everybody's personal choice, so I store both." That way everyone was happy, right? "Well, you can return, by all means! Another person around, just means all the more fun. So what restrictions do you have in mind?" Fun, quite possibly, couldn't be involved in these restrictions, could it? Not that Tate minded, actually. As long as everybody was safe, and happy.

Not that Tate minded, actually. As long as everybody was safe, and happy. Lyra smiled almost forcefully as she listened in her new boss speaking and offering a chair in her office. Her green eyes glanced from a bean bag chair to a normal chair. If Lyra were to use the bean bag chair, she would have to roll to get out and using her lady-like ways would never happen. She raised her brows as if silently stating she was never going to sit in a chair like that and risk her reputation as a high muggle fashion model in any shape or form. That would be one for the muggle press to feast their eyes upon and make fun of her for the rest of her life.
"Normal chair is fine," she returned back to her smile as she walked over to the chair and took a seat. "And thank you for seeing me on such short notice." She pressed out the hem of her dress and crossed her legs at the ankle, tucking under her chair.
"My restrictions are due to being pregnant," she began, not wanting to relive the hardest times of her life as she did with her first pregnancy. Not only was the loss of the baby hard on herself but her husband as well. Depression was not a fun state of mind. "Well, this is my second time at pregnancy but hopefully this will be our first baby." She was not going to explain herself and definitely not going to answer questions. "I have a doctor's note from St. Mungo's stating that if there are any complications that I will need to head there as soon as possible and I need something where I will not be on my feet all the time." She was used to wearing heels but not with excess weight. That was hard on her feet. Blah!
