Samuel was just taking a little detour around the Ministry. Considering the fact he was a Department Head now, he needed to familiarize himself with where all the other Departments are located just in case he needed to visit them someday, which he most likely would. The thought of familiarizing himself with the location of other Departments came with the act of getting LOST when he was trying to find his office on Level Two when he was moving in. It wasn't his fault, though. It hadn't been like he regularly visited the Magical Law Enforcement Department, right? Right.

As he wandered along the Level Eight corridor, he came across a wall with engraved musical instrument on it. Interesting. He reached out and touched the instrument, and then all of a sudden some wizarding music played. This music was relaxing! Why didn't Level Two have something like this? It would help with the stress that was sure to come.

Things were still sort of slow at Level Four. Things had died down ever since the Quidditch World Cup, which had taken place QUITE a while ago so that was saying something, but things were still cooking. Chad had some idea that was going around in his head so it was out there. Sarah was glad that things were finally getting a move on. And now that they had so many new employees, it was getting rather lively and festive! As important as work was though... so was her personal and social life. Which... never really seemed important until now. Sometimes she felt so alone. But at least she had Sam right?

Sarah had left for a cup of coffee, they didn't have breakrooms anymore and the office coffee wasn't really any good, but soon got distracted by the Eighth Floor. She had gone to the Eighth Floor in hopes of maybe finding her brother and catching up with him, and maybe stealing some of his coffee. But something about the Eighth Floor drew her further in. She heard music. Very soothing and relaxing. Curious, Sarah walked towards the sound until she came upon a wall with instruments on it. Ooh. Very cool. And then there he was.

"Sam!" she called out cheerfully as she ran over towards him and engulfed him in a big hug. "I haven't seen you in a while."

Samuel absentmindedly began to slowly tap his foot along to the slow music that was playing. He was enjoying this! If the Ministry hadn't remodeled, he wouldn't be tapping his foot along with some slow music right now. So, in conclusion, the Ministry remodeling was probably the best thing that has happened since he's been working here.

He was about to touch the instrument once more to change the song until he heard someone say his name. That voice was familiar, and it was when he was engulfed in a big hug... wait, someone was HUGGING him? EEEEP! That was new. He turned his attention to the woman hugging him and when he noticed it was his friend, he smiled.

"Hey Sarah!" He exclaimed as he gave her a little hug back. "I know. I'm sorry about not seeing you lately. I've been trying to move into my new office..." He trailed off. Had he told Sarah he got promoted?

New office?

Sarah raised in eyebrow as she pulled away with a small grin. "New office? Is there something that you haven't told me... Mr. McDean?" she asked, looking at him with her light blue eyes. A new office either meant demotion or promotion, but with Sam's intelligence and wonderful people skills, it was most likely the latter. But surely if it was the latter, he would've told her earlier!

The music was still playing, making Sarah glance around the hallway, slightly puzzled. Where exactly was it coming from? Was it coming from the walls? Some mysterious source? Sam maybe? But it didn't seem like music was coming out of her friend. That would be a little bit odd. It seemed to be coming from the walls and she wanted to know how. Mhmm... Sarah's attention was diverted towards the wall and the instrument on it as she reached out to poke the instrument. Immediately, the music changed from the slow music to a more upbeat song. AH-HA! So... that's how the music was playing. Sarah felt quite proud of herself for her discovery.

Sam HADN'T told her? EEEP! He was going to be in so much trouble with his friend once he shared the news with her. It wasn't his fault that he hadn't told her until now, right? Errrm, it probably was his fault. He should have made somewhat of an effort to talk to her since he got promoted. Hopefully Sarah wouldn't eat him for waiting until now to tell him. Though, he had only just moved in two days ago, so maybe if she knew that, she wouldn't be too mad...

Hopefully.

"There is something I haven't told you... Miss Lee," he said. He was about to tell her he was Department Head until say until Sarah touched the instrument and some up beat music started to play. He stopped tapping his foot, and then he touched the instrument once more to turn it back to the slow music. Hehe. He hoped the Department Head of Level Eight wouldn't get mad if they kept changing the song ever few seconds, but wait... Wasn't the Department Head Sarah's brother?

"Isn't your brother the Department Head here?" He asked.

Sam had seemed to about to tell her what he hadn't told her, even though Sarah could already guess what it was, but then he seemed to be distracted by the upbeat music that had started to play. The man sure did get distracted easily. Sarah opened her mouth to ask him to continue with what he hadn't finished saying, when he touched the instrument and CHANGED THE SONG! She narrowed her eyes at the man and pouted slightly. "Heyyyyyy! Who said you could change the song?" And with that, she touched the instrument and changed into a... Latino song? Sounded Mexican. Sarah giggled and shook her head.

She glanced over at Sam once again when he asked her a question. "Who? Brian? Let's see... this is... Level Eight... so yeah. Brian's the Department Head of Magical Maintenance and Security. Sounds about right," Sarah confirmed, nodding her head.

Oh right. Brian. Meh. She'll visit him another time.

"Who said you could change it?" HMM? Sam turned back towards the instrument on the wall when Sarah changed it once more, but this time to... Latino music? WHAA? Out of all the music, she changed it to something he couldn't understand a word they were saying. Riiiiight, he was going to change it once more. He reached over and touched the instrument, and the Latino music changed back to the up beat music. Much better.

If Brian was the Department Head, then he might not be too angry with them switching the songs over and over again. He wouldn't get mad at his sister, right? RIGHT-O. "I haven't officially met Brian," he stated. "I should meet him one day."

Now to the news. "I'm a Department Head," he informed Sarah. "Of Magical Law Enforcement."

Ha. Snooort. Sarah rolled her eyes at Sam and pointed at her self. "Sister of the Department Head on this level. Power baby," she said, smirking slightly. GASP. Did he just change the song? Oh this guy was asking for it. But at least it was the upbeat song that they had listened to earlier. The Latino one was just RAAANDOM. Even though the song they were listening to was a preeeetty good song, Sarah liked messing with Sam. Proof of that was when she reached out to touch the instrument once again, changing the music to... classical. Mhm.. Nice. Beethoven maybe?

O_________o He wanted to meet Brian? That was what he was suggesting right? "Um.. sure... I could arrange that... I was actually planning on visiting him, Becca, and my lil' nephew! You could come with if you want," Sarah offered. Yeahh... Sam was her best friend after all, he deserved to meet her family. But... that meant she deserved to meet HIS. But from what she heard Sam say, she wasn't too excited about meeting Daniel.

Finally, Sam told her the news. EEEEEEEYAAOOWW!!!

Sarah's jaw dropped and quickly snapped into a large grin. "Sam!" she gasped. "That's great! I'm so happy for you! And proud! My little Sammy boy's growing up," she joked as she wrapped her arms around him once again for a hug. She squeezed him tightly and then pulled away.

"Can't believe you didn't tell me earlier." Her eyes narrowed and she puckered her bottom lip slightly. Sarah punched Sam in the arm gently. "Explain."

Samuel didn't know WHAT to say about that. Personally, he thought having connections gave him more power than her being related to the Department Head. "Whatever to you say, Sarah. Whatever you say," he replied. He could stand here and argue over who had more power, or he could just keep changing the song. It was pretty much obvious which one he was going to do.

Beethoven? Hmm, that's what the new song sounded like, but he wasn't a hundred percent sure. He was NOT a classical music genius or anything. Nopeee. "I don't feel like listening to classical." That was fact. He reached over and changed the song once more; this time the song selection went right back to a slow instrumental song.

He nodded. "When were you planning on visiting them?" He asked. Hopefully it was this weekend because visiting Sarah's brother totally outdid staying at his apartment. He hadn't even been planning on staying at his apartment at all this weekend because he knew if he did, his crazy neighbor would come right on over like he did last weekend... and stay there for HOURS. Crazy guy. Plus his neighbor ate ALL his food, which wasn't cool at all.

Sarah was such a hugging person, wasn't she? "Thanks," he replied. "I'm really excited about.... oh." He was going to say he was excited about this job, Sarah wanted an explanation for not telling her sooner. An explanation he wasn't ready for. Errrm. "Because I haven't seen you around? Okay, no, that isn't a good reason. I've been meaning to tell you; I just haven't had the time to seeing as I've been trying to move into the new office and all."

Then again... now that she thought about it... Sam being a Department Head himself probably gave him more power. But still, she was the sister of the Department Head of the level they were on so... HAAAAA......? Meh. Sarah wasn't going to argue with Sam about who had more power over changing the music. It got repetitive and dull after a while and there were much betters things to do than argue with Samuel McDean. They both knew who would win. HER.

"Heyyyy... classical music is soothing," she protested, when he reached over to change the music once again. One would think that after having a changing song war would get tiring, but one would be surprised. Pouting slightly, Sarah stuck her tongue out at Sam, quite immaturely but who cares?, and reached over to change the song once more. The song changed into another instrumental song, except more upbeat and quicker. It seemed to be an electric guitar solo and Sarah recognized it to be the song Cliffs of Dover. OOOOOOHHH OOOHHHHH. She liiiikked that songg. She liked it a lot.

Back to Brian and Becca. "Ohh... well I didn't really set a date. When are you free?" Sarah asked, shrugging. She never really planned these visits out. They were usually spur of the moment. In fact one time, she had been in the market and one moment she was holding a banana in her hand and the next moment, she was standing at the doorstep of Brian and Becca's house with the banana still in her hand.

That sneaky boyyyy... man really... actually. Sarah listened to Sam as he explained why he hadn't told her earlier. She stood, crossing her arms against her chest with that look that said, 'Uh-huuhhh... uh-huuhhh... you better explain buddy'. ... "That's a good enough reason," she said, smiling. "We better hang out more often then. I don't want you to tell me that you want me to be best man at your wedding the day before the ceremony. OHHH. What department?" Full sentences, Sarah. "What department are you the big ol' Boss of?"

Sam hoped that this little music thing wouldn't break from the song being changed multiple times. Surely it wouldn't, right? If it did break, it wouldn't be his fault anyways because Sarah just refused to listen to the music that he wanted to listen to, and she was the one that continued to change it! Yeppp. That was going to be his story, and he was sticking with it! "Classical music is okay, but I'm not in the mood to listen to it," he informed her. You just had to be in the right mood to listen to certain types of music. Once Sarah changed the song once more, he looked from her to the music thingy on the wall. Hmm, this song wasn't that bad.

He so wanted to change the song, but he wanted to listen to the rest of the song that Sarah had changed it to. GAH. Thinking that he could just listen to it some other time, he quickly changed the song to another song that was the same upbeat tempo that was played previously with the guitar solo, but this song had lyrics with it. He didn't know what this song was, but he liked it! "I like this song," he stated. Which meant 'NO CHANGING IT!'.

He shrugged. "I'm usually free every weekend," he replied. It was sad that he never really had much planned on his weekends, but what was he suppose to do? He didn't want to go visit his mom because his stepdad usually kicked him out when he got home from work, and there was NO way he would go visit Dan. Most of his friend's were usually busy doing something else, so he had NOTHING to do except watch muggle television.

He grinned slightly when Sarah said that was a good enough reason. That was good because he didn't know what he would have said if she didn't like his first reason as to why she just found out about his promotion. He nodded his head in agreement to her statement about hanging out more, but he suddenly stopped nodding his head when she mentioned being best man at his wedding. "No worries about that," he told her. "I'm not planning on getting married anytime soon." He didn't even have a GIRLFRIEND; did it look like he was getting married anytime soon? Nope. "I'm the big ol' Boss of Law Enforcement," he answered her question.

Victoria Hepburn walked up to the eighth floor of the building, hoping to find some nice people. Just then, she heard the soft, yet firm sounds of music. She was drawn to it. Ever since she was a little girl, she had always been inclined to music and arts. She just loved it.

She was just new to the Ministry and did not know what to do... She just wished someone would be nice enough to stop by and tell her directions on where to go to apply for a job.

So just across the wall of the music room, she stood there, with beautiful posture and like a real woman.

(She is a brunette with curls, very beautiful with piercing blue eyes; tall but not too tall; milky smooth skin; applies little make up but still very pretty; 100% English, skinny, curvy)

Lyra was wandering the halls of the ministry again. She was so impatient to get a job. She missed Nathan terribly but she had to deal with this matter first. She hummed a french lullaby that she had learned a few years back and randomly turned corners until she found herself in what probably is the Ministy's music room. Then she noticed a woman standing in the middle of the room, so she walked over to her and asked her "Hello, are you alright?"
She was sure that standing in the middle of the room was not a normal happening. Even in England.

Victoria looked up. A beautiful woman walked up to her and asked her a question she had been waiting. So she answered, "Uhmm... I'm new to the Ministry, and I don't know where to go to find a good job. If it's not much trouble, can you just direct me as to where to go?" She shrugged and smiled.

Victoria sensed this woman's urgency to go someplace else so she talked quite fast, but still in a polite manner.

Lyra smiled helplessly and said "Sorry, I don't really know where to go." She submitted her application while she was still in France using her owl, so she doesn't really know the place where one applies for a job "I'm just familiarizing myself with the place."

"Really?" Victoria smiled and giggled a little in surprise. "Ohmy... then would it be okay if we go together and find our way to apply for some jobs? I also sent a letter when I was out." Victoria nodded a few times.

"By the way, I'm Victoria Isabel Hepburn. Nice to meet you." She smiled graciously and stuck her hand out to shake her new friend's hand.

Lyra smiled at the girl. "Nice to meet you. I'm Lyra Cassiopeia Black." Then she glanced around the room and out the door where employees seem to be bustling from point A to point B in a hurry. "I don't think they'll let us roam the building freely to just find the employment offices...They all seem rather busy."

TO LYRA:
Victoria followed Lyra's gaze, and wrinkled her nose slightly. That was a really bad and childish habit of hers that had to be corrected. She was a full adult, no more excuses, as what her Mum would say. "Yeah, seems so."

"I'll go ask someone, maybe we might be noticed." She smiled and walked towards a person who seemed helpful.

Nicholas Kent entered the room warily. He was quite new here. He didn't have a single clue about life in the Ministry. He sighed as he glanced around the room. Wizards and witches were happily exchanging their stories, each one engrossed in his or her own conversation.

Nicholas felt even more nervous. "How I wish I had someone to talk to. This would be much easier if I wasn't all alone," he thought to himself.

Victoria walked up to a guy who seemed to know his way.

"Hi there. Is it too much trouble if we ask where my friend and I could find a job?" She slightly bit her lip, afraid he would say "I don't know where it is...".

She turned her head to Lyra, gave her a thumbs up and nodded. When Vitctoria turned around, she looked at the guy straight in the eyes. She wan't shy around the opposite gender. Never.

Nicholas was standing in a corner, standing out like a sore thumb. Just as he was about to give up and leave the room, a young brunette slowly approached him. He sighed in relief. At last, he would finally meet some new friends!

Her eyes met his, and she calmly asked where she and her friend could find jobs. Nicholas, also a newbie to the Ministry, knew he could not be of much help to this beautiful girl. He sadly informed her of his own limited knowledge about the matter.

"I'm very sorry. I'm afraid I also do not know where to find some work," he glumly replied. "In fact, I don't even know where I am. I just foliowed the people who seemed to be going here."

He suddenly remembered that he hasn't even introduced himself! "By the way, my name's Nicholas Kent. It's a pleasure to meet you." He grinned and offered his hand.

Leanne walked to the music corner smiling softly to herself. Since she had been a little girl she had always enjoyed that place, made her want to dance some of her ballet steps though, which might have been cute when she was younger but now it was just plain weird.

Brooklyn didn't know why she was here. All she knew was that she got hooked with the music playing there. She remembered how her mother had forced her to take piano lessons when she was younger. She never knew that she'd be missing the sounds of it one day.
Entering, her heels clicking as she walked, she saw good o'l Nicholas talking to a brunette. (and no she wasn't jealous..) Walking towards them she waved. "Hey, Nicholas!" she smiled her award winning smile and turned towards the other lady. "Haven't seen you around yet. Brooklyn Clark. Pleasure to meet you." she smiled as she extended her hand.

Victoria smiled and laughed a little. "Hi Kent. I'm Victoria Isabel Hepburn. You can call me Veera. It's a pleasure to meet you. Oh, it's okay. You could help me and my friend, Lyra" using her thumb to point towards the other beautiful girl "search for the office." She offered helpfully with a grin.

While Victoria was having a small conversation with Kent, she noticed a nice-looking woman sauntering leisurely around the hall. She said to her new friend, "Excuse me, Kent, there seems to be a woman who knows her way. I'll ask some questions."

She walked over to the lady and asked graciously, "Hi, miss. Would you know where the employment office is? My friends and I are terribly lost." She blushed for a while, her pride gone.

As Victoria was having her small conversation with Kent, a beautiful brunette walked up to him casually. When the nice girl introduced herself, Victoria smiled her best smile and extended her hand, "My pleasure, too. I'm Victoria Isabel Hepburn. Call me Veera for short." She giggled and said, "You must know Kent very well." She checkled a little and saw a little tension between the two.
