He whispered something into her, and then as he pulled away, he winked at her. OOC: Poke me, and I'll let you know what he whispered to her.

She didn't want to wait anymore... Alexander surveyed the buffet table, trying to determine if there was anything else he'd like to eat. He was hungry and could use a meal, but he figured this was neither the time nor the place for a full-course dinner. The few items he'd scooped up already would be enough for now.
Feeling her soft hand gracing his cheek, he turned toward her. "So I take it you don't want anything to eat?" he absentmindedly asked, noting she hadn't directly replied to his question. Then his face dropped into an expression of absolute shock. With the look he gave her, she may as well have told him the building was about to explode, and they had three seconds to get out.

Right. There were no words for the shock she'd put him in. His mouth moved a little, but nothing came out. Finally, he spoke.
"Th--this Christmas? Hecate, you want to marry me this Christmas?" he asked. A second later, his whole plate of food went into the bin. There was no way he could focus on eating at the moment. "You're going to marry me this Christmas!" he said, this time not asking a question. His whole face actually brightened into a smile, and then he scooped her up and spun her around, putting her back down gently and then finishing all that with a kiss.
"They'll be ready," he said, nodding. "Sierra, too?" That part was a question.
...dang. Ian was there, which was fantastic. His wife, though...

She said trying to push herself off of him. "We're in public... the whole ministry is watching..." she said trying to fix her dress, "And of course Sierra... that goes without saying..." It was Anna and her idiot husband that wouldn't be welcome...

... she'd let him lead her anywhere. Alexander turned back toward the buffet table and added an extra helping of everything he'd already gotten. His plate was still of a normal size, as he hadn't gotten much to begin with. "Christmas Day is perfect," he agreed, linking his arm with hers, "and we'll do it just the way you want it to be." They'd both agreed that the most important part of the day was they'd just be together.
"Do you have anything in mind?" he asked, leading her to a table and pulling out a chair. He sat down directly next to her and put the plate of food in between them. "Location? Wedding party? Any guests?"
He'd hand her the world on a silver platter if that's what she wanted, but he'd agree wholeheartedly to anything she chose. He just wanted to be with her.

Letting out a breath he hadn't realized he had stored, he drew up to the side of the buffet table and looked down uninterested at the food. His fingers picked at a lonely napkin for a moment before he turned his eyes back up to Recard. "Who is, or was, Andrina?" There was no sense in beating around the bush; not with Armen.
