South End of the Platform
 

Seventh Year. It was DISMAL at best in Lexi's opinion. DIS.MAL. Tugging on her dress hem a bit she bit her lip. She had Rufus and Wasabi for one more term in the castle and she did NOT know if she was looking forward to it at all.

Looking to her right she sought out Sal's face in the crowd... where was he? She wasn't sure they had even arrived at the same time. Stupid Head Boy stuff and all... SIGHS FOR LIFE!

Ivan came onto the platform at the back of the train already missing his uncle. He looked around and tried to figure out what to do next, he just wanted to find an empty compartment and sit with his text books and start to read once again.
Ivan opened his trunk and started to dig for the owl treats so he could give a couple to Moon. At the top he found his books, pulled them out then found the treats and grabbed two. Closing the trunk he gave Moon the treats and was soon greated with appreciation.
After standing up with his books in their bag and Moon happy with the snack he looked around more paying close attention to the other students for clues on what to do now.

Saying goodbye to her parents was hard. She felt a little sad for leaving especially when she saw her mom cried. "we'll write to you soon dear," mom said while giving her a last hug. Dad waved at her when she got on the train. He gave lots of advice and even told her to study hard throughout school. Elle nodded and said farewell to her parents. While looking for empty compartments, Elle saw a boy around her age and decided to enter the compartment. "Hello..I'm Elle. Do you mind if I sit with you?" Elle beamed at him and she was hoping the boy would say yes.

"Sure you can set here Elle." Ivan looked at the girl who came up to him. He then sat down on his trunk and opened one of his text books and began to read while they all waited for the train to arrive.

Aurora pushed her trolley onto the platform and stopped, looking around for people she knew. No-one as yet. Shame really. She turned to her sister, "They're not even coming onto the platform are they?" she said, referring to their parents who had disappeared as they walked through the wall.

Tiffany turned to look at Aurora, "I don't think so..." She shrugged and turned to the trolley. "Right, are you sure you have everything? Your books are under your robes, Salvatore's tank will be there when you arrive, got your violin? Flute? Quills?"

Aurora nodded, it should really be her Mother doing this but there had been something wrong recently... "Yep, got everything. And my wand." She tapped the left sleeve of her robes, outlining the shape of her wand.

Tiff smiled, "Good, it's nice to see my little sister is as organised as me." she said.

"Yeah, but I didn't go to Durmstrang." Aurora said, smiling.

Joseph smiled at his father as he and his sister said their goodbyes "Bye dad, we'll see you in Christmass"

"Goodbye son, take care of your sister, Josephine, take care of your brother" Joseph and his twin looked at eachother, before laughing and hugging their father.

"So, let's get on the train!" he said.

Elizabeth jumped out from the carriage, she had just finished packing away her trunk, slowly she made her way towards her parents with her siblings Cathy, Amelia and Jack.
Her mother was nearly in tears, her youngest was finally going to Hogwarts. "Take care of her" she warned the other three.
After many hugs and kisses, Elizabeth scrambled onto the train, although she didn't know anybody yet, she knew her first year at Hogwarts was going to be a good one.

Josephine blinked her tears away as she kissed her father goodbye "Bye bye daddy" her father left and she held onto her brother's arm.

"We can't go right now! We're waiting for Dani and my friends!" she yelled happily.

Alice approached the platform to Hogwarts, a feeling of sadness washing over her as she realized that she would not be boarding the train. She wanted more than anything to go back, but she knew it was not an option. About to turn and leave Alice spotted someone whose face she couldn't forget.

"LEXI?!" Alice called out, running towards the girl like she was still ten years old.

Lexi was standing there STILL searching the crowd for Sal when she heard someone shout her name like a BANSHEE. Sheesh! Turning to look for the CULPRIT she immediately smiled brightly when she caught sight of Alice. WOW she had really grown up!

Throwing her arms out wide she welcomed the little lion in for a hug. "Oh Alice! It's so lovely to see you here!" she exclaimed as she began to jump up and down in excitement. Rufus, seeing this began to mimic his owner which only brought more giggles from the bouncing blonde.

Happy to see Lexi's outstretched arms, Alice flung her arms around the girl's neck, pulling her in for the tightest hug that she had ever managed in her life. As Lexi started to bounce with excitement Alice couldn't help but start bouncing up and down with her. She gave a little smile to Rufus who had started jumping with them, allowing a laugh that started in Alice's belly to come out of her mouth.

"Oh my god it is so good to see you," Alice said, releasing Lexi from her chokehold. She took hold of both of Lexi's hands though, still just so excited to see her.

"I can't believe it...you'll be starting your last year right?" Alice asked, can't believing how quickly the time had gone. If she was still going to Hogwarts she'd be starting her fourth year...whew.

"So...how are you? How are things with Salander? I take it you too are still dating?" Alice gave another big smile...she would be devastated if the two of them had broken up. They were basically like her big brother and big sister after all. "And you looking amazing!"

Lexi started to chuckle, but the air to her lungs was cut off by the once small little lion's hold on her neck. That was okay with Lex, though. Wrapping her arms around the girl she bounced and gasped... BOUNCED AND GASPED.

Taking a huge breath she giggled some more, scrunching her little nose up and snorting a tiny bit as she did. "Oh dear it's lovely to see you as well. LOOK AT YOU! YOu look fantastic!" she cried out as she gripped her friend's hands.

Smiling a little less brightly she nodded her head. "I am not quite sure if I am excited, sad, or scared for seventh year, Alice. I can only... go with it," she said with a shrug. It was the truth... she wasn't quite sure how she felt about it.

MORE GIGGLES! Alice was precious!!! "I just recently got back from Asia, actually. Salander and I took holiday and went EVERYWHERE. We started in Tibet and then just went from there. It was magical." IT WAS MAGICAL I SAY! "We split up for a bit, actually... but we patched things up and are back together and stronger than before. He's Head Boy, you know? And I am going to be the student editor of the yearbook." Pride. She had it!


Lexi couldn't help it... at the last comment Alice made she blushed slightly and did a little twirl in her pretty dress. She did, however clasp her hands back on Alice's when she came to a stop. "Enough about me, though. How are you? How is your father? I miss you so much I can't stand it!"

Alice listened intently and excitedly as Lexi answered all of her questions. "I can't even imagine the flood of emotions and hormones," Alice said with a little chuckle. "Do you have any ideas to what you might want to do after Hogwarts?" Alice knew that Lexi was probably just trying to figure out how to handle this year, and that trying to tackle life after Hogwarts would just be overkill. After all a person could go crazy trying to think about all of that at once! "I think just going with it is the best option," Alice said with a supportive nod. "You can't control everything, so might as well just let whatever force of nature there is decide for you."

Alice blushed slightly at the compliment from Lexi. She had to admit that she didn't really feel like she looked all that little anymore. The childish features that she once had were gone, and all Alice could think about when she looked in the mirror was that she looked like...well...a woman. "I feel so old," Alice said with a little smile. "I look at pictures at Hogwarts from my first year and I just think where did that go? And who is that girl in those pictures?" Alice was sure that Lexi felt the same way, or at least had felt similarly herself.

Alice couldn't help but feel herself get all excited again after the slightly somber mood that had come with the topic just seconds ago. She was practically glowing when she found out that Salander and her were still together, even if they had separated for a little while. "I am just so happy for you two. Honestly I can't think of two people that deserve it more. Is Salander here by any chance? It has been ages since I have seen him!" Alice was sure Salander looked different than she remembered him. After all Alice had seen Lexi much more than she had seen Salander last term, and even Lexi looked different to her!

Alice admired Lexi as she twirled, giving her a little clap before accepting Lexi's hands back into her own. "I am doing well! I really didn't want to have to leave Hogwarts, but I just couldn't bare leaving my dad home by himself given the situation..." Alice said with a little wave of the hand. Lexi was her confidant, so she already knew all about it. No need to rehash old stories. "So, I've transfered to a nice wizarding school back in the states, and my dad moved closer by and opened up another library. He seems happy, and I'm happy, but I do miss you and Hogwarts so much."

She couldn't help but laugh. It was TRUE. All the hormones and emotions flowing through the seventh years was sure to palpable once they boarded that train for the last time. Sheesh. She was not sure she was mentally prepared for this.

Smirking slightly Lexi nodded her head and then shrugged a little as well. "I thought I did. I was planning to go to WADA and study drama, but then I got to thinking about things... and well I think I might quite like to get into politics. Wizarding politics of course. I would love to do some good for the Wizarding world here in Britain... or in France... or the states," she said with a little blush coloring her cheeks. She was sure people would laugh at her when she admitted she was interested in politics, but it was the truth. She was indeed interested. Shrugging once more she glanced out through the crowd in search of Sal's badge... his face... SAL WHERE ARE YOU?!

Sighing just a slight little bitty sigh she smiled once more and looked to Alice. Laughing out loud she shook her head. "YOU feel old? I am officially an adult now. I passed with 8 OWLs last term... I can apparate now... and I have my own home. It's surreal when I look back and see pictures from so long ago. It's like... a totally different person. Again."

OH. Hehe. "I have just been looking for him actually. I thought we had left at the same time, but I suppose not. Or he has found a first year to help with a trunk or sommat. It's ridiculous really. I was always the one helping first years and now he has taken the role while I try to keep to the yearbook offices at school." SNORTSSS!

Again; Enough about Lexi!

Squeezing Alice's hands gently she smiled brightly. "You have no idea how happy that makes me, Alice. REally. It's amazing. You and your father deserve to be happy! If there is ever anything I can do to help with ANYTHING you let me know, okay. As soon as this term ends I am heading out to see the world and America is definitely one of the places I will be stopping. So I will see you soon. I promise that." She WAS ecstatic to know that Alice and her father had found some sense of peace after all the trials and tribulations.

Looking around she leaned in a little closer and whispered, "I have some big news, but it's not the time to tell you. Expect a letter from me very soon, though. I will explain everything. It's amazing, it is!"

Alice was surprised at the blush that colored Lexi's cheeks when she mentioned she wished to pursue a career in politics. "Lexi you would be amazing at that!" Alice said with an affirmative nod. "A good, kind-hearted person with a head in the right place is just the thing Britain, France, or anywhere needs in their government." Alice certainly hoped that Lexi would stop being embarrassed about wanting to pursue politics. In Alice's opinion the government needed more people like Lexi and less people like the current Minister of Magic in Britain.

Alice gave Lexi a huge smile as she mentioned coming to the states. "I will expect a letter from you as soon as you find out that you are coming, and you will absolutely stay with me and my father, no ifs, ands, or buts about it!!!" The idea of Lexi coming and seeing her in the US just made her absolutely giddy.

Alice's eyes widened as Lexi listed all the things that made her feel old. "Oh my goodness Lexi you got 8 owls and can apparate?? That is amazing!!! I am so proud and excited for you!" Alice knew that she would be preparing for her own O.W.L.s this year, but she didn't really want to think about that. Although, Alice certainly hoped that she could at least do half as well as Lexi. "I hope I'll be able to do all of that by my 7th year!"

Alice couldn't help but chuckle as Lexi semi-scolded Salander for being late. "You know, we actually had one of our first real conversations when I was saving him from the blast-ended skrewts in Care of Magical Creatures," Alice said with a little laugh. She remembered it like yesterday...the sheer humor in someone as small and young as herself helping someone as older and bigger as Salander. "I'm glad to hear you're good influence is rubbing off on him," Alice said with a smile and a little wink.

Alice instinctively leaned forward as Lexi leaned in. OOOOOHHHHH a secret?? "Oh my gosh, I will be holding my breath until that letter comes!!" Ooh, Alice wished she would tell her now!!!

Lexi couldn't help but giggle a good bit and swat playfully at Alice's hand. "Me? Have my head in the right place? I dun think anyone has ever accused me of that. You are simply unfailingly kind, Alice. And I thank you for that." It really meant the world to Lexi to have people in her life that supported her and believed in her and Alice had never told Lexi she wasn't capable of something. It gave her much needed motivation.

GIGGLES FOR LIFE! Lexi was already making plans in her head. She would take Alice shopping and they could go out to eat... and just have FUN. It was going to be epic. MORE GIGGLES! "Yes mam. I promise you!" SNORT.

"You, my friend, will get all of the OWLs and blow your apparation test out of the water. I know it. You are a skilled witch, you just have to never doubt yourself. I believe you can do anything you put your mind to." Truth. Alice was a smartypants. Lexi knew she could expect fabulous things from her little cub in the future.

Salander and animals did NOT mix. "He has the WORST luck with creatures of any sort. It's insane. Wasabi chased him down and attacked him trying to get him to take a letter once. It was so unlike her... well she DOES bite, but she has never gone to such lengths. And my pygmy puff bit him... Merlin peed in his shoes once, Rufus... well Rufus is a monkey so I reckon you can imagine what a monkey could do to him," she said with a hearty laugh and an eyeroll for emphasis. "I am glad to hear you say I am a good influence on anyone."

Cue the shifty eyes. Hehehe. Lexi was NOT telling anytime soon. She would put it in writing. Hehehe. Not to mention she did love it when people assumed they knew what a secret was...and then ended up being totally off base. Hehehee. She was SURE this would be one of those instances. "You had better not do such things you know. It could take the post owl quite a while to get to America... wouldn't want you to pass out or something." Cheek; Lexi has it. GIGGGLES

"I only speak the truth," Alice said with a matter of fact smile, but she was glad to see that her words had meant a lot to her. Lexi was definitely Alice's biggest mentor, and she wanted to make sure that her mentor have the confidence to do everything that Alice knew she was capable of.

Now it was Alice's turn to blush as Lexi complimented her wizarding skills. "Thank you Lexi, it really means a lot," she said with a smile. "Perhaps when you come to visit you can teach me more of your spiffy tricks like the ones you taught me this year outside." Alice still remembered all the useful spells, both playful and practical that Lexi had taught her out by the tree on the grounds and in the Girls Common Room. Alice did miss those dates terribly, and she hoped they could have another one, even if it wasn't possible for it to be at Hogwarts.

Alice couldn't keep the laughs in as she pictured Salander being chased around the house by Lexi's owl. "Poor Salander!! The boy must be cursed or something," Alice said with another fit of laughter. Given how nice and kind Salander was she still wasn't sure how he had landed in Slytherin, but the sorting hat worked in mysterious ways she supposed. Honestly, she really hoped that Salander came in time for her to at least say hello to him before him and Lexi had to board the train.

Alice gave a mischievous smile. "Well, perhaps I won't hold my breath, but I will definitely be sitting around pondering it a lot until the letter comes." There were so many possibilities of what the news could be that Alice was sure there was no way that she would guess the right one.

"Where is she?" Mordred thought as he scoped the whole of the platform. He started out at the North end then made his way all the way down to the South end. It was harder to maneuver his trolley this time because of the lost first years who are all over the place. He was rather getting tired of saying "excuse me" over and over again. "If these kids don't get out of my way, I'll run over them without second thoughts..." he said to himself as he spotted Aurora.

He gave her a small smile and a wave since he really cannot approach her yet. She was talking to a woman he didn't know, and thought it will be rude to interrupt.

Aurora was only half paying attention to the conversation with her sister. The rest of her mind was occupied with finding someone he knew... Her green eyes searched the masses of lost first years or a familiar face.
"Mordred!" she shouted, waving and beconing him over.

Tiffany watched Aurora with amusement. "Are you paying attent- no. Didn't think so..." She followed Aurora's gaze to a boy. Yet again one that she recognised from somewhere. Then, in true older sibling fashion, remembered she hadn't teased Aurora about anything in at least five minutes. "So who's Mordred? Is he your boyfriend?" she said, chuckling.

Aurora stared at her sister in horror. That was far too loud. "No. He. Is. Not. Shut up!" she hissed, glaring at her sister. How dare she. That was... Why did everyone assume she had a boyfriend all of a sudden?!?!?!

...awwkward....LOL!
 

Mordred waved again and pushed his trolley toward them, but stopped dead in his tracks the next second. “Boyfriend?” Mordred could swear he turned brick red at the mention of the word. It was as if his feet were cemented on the floor. “Man up, Mordaunt. Pretend you didn’t hear anything.” He told himself.

Again, he pushed his trolley and managed to keep a relaxed face. “Hi. I saw you back there outside the wall. Can’t call your attention while you’re entering the platform though.” He said as he shook away the word he heard previously. “My parents had to leave right away. Busy day at the Ministry, I guess.” He shrugged, and then looked at the young woman who was with Aurora.

“Oh hi. I’m Mordred.” he said as he held out his hand. Who could this woman be?

Mordred had to have heard it... Aurora wanted to sink into a hole... She shook herself and looked at him. "Hi, managed to wade through all the first years then?" she smiled, shooting her sister a sideways glare. "My parents just..." she sighed, "Tell you later. This is Tiff, she's my sister." Aurora gestured to the tall blonde woman stood next to her. Tiffany looked almost exactly like Aurora apart from the white blonde curls instead of red, the height, and the swollen stomach protruding from her jumper.

Tiffany was watching the two kids with amusement, one hand patting her stomach. I hope you aren't this easily embarrassed, kid. she thought. The baby kicked her hand. "Nice to meet you Mordred. Tell me, what is your surname? You look like someone I met once." she said. At one of Mother's infamous parties. That was when she'd finally been allowed into one of the parties without children... and it had been a complete anti-climax.

Maxwell walked onto the platform with his mother and said goodbye. his father was no where in site being a muggle he did't support his son learning magic. after saying goodbye to his mother Maxwell walked over to Josephine and with a grin said "ready when you are!"

"Yeah, I did." he said as he looked back at the thick mass of first years. "I believe I ran over a couple of toes on my way here." he said grinning. "I don't mind really." he added. Mordred then looked at the blonde woman. "Oh so she's your sister." he said mentally to Aurora.

Mordred glanced at Tiff and looked at her when she asked what's his surname. "Mordaunt." he said bluntly. "I believe we haven't met before..." he said trailing off trying to remember if he did at least see her in one of his mother's parties. "Congratulations by the way." he said as he looked at her swollen belly.

"Well that should put them in line." she chuckled. "A few broken toes never killed anyone." Aurora nodded, You couldn't tell?

Mordaunt... "I think I may have met your Mother." she said. He was a headstrong young boy. "No, I think I would remember." she smiled dryly. "Thank you." she added.

"Tiff, you can go home now... make sure Mother and Father don't kill eachother." Aurora said, looking at her sister.

Tiffany raised an eyebrow at Aurora, "Yes, I think I probably should. Eadric is expecting me." she pushed back her hair. "Goodbye Mordred. See you later Ra-Ra." Tiff walked off, back towards the barrier to muggle London.

Aurora scowled at her sister as she walked off and turned back to Mordred, "Oh! I have something to tell you!"

"That should teach them a lesson." he said as he chuckled. "They really should stop drooling all over the place." he said as he looked at a first year who was gaping at the place.

Mordred gave a small wave at Tiff as she walked out of the platform. "She seems to be a cool sister." he said smiling. He really finds the nickname 'Ra-Ra' funny...and cute. "I really wish I had a sister." he said as he locked the wheels of his trolley and sat on his trunk. "Our manor's just full of male hormones. My mother always dreads the holidays. Imagine, me and 5 other male cousins making chaos." he said grinning.

"So, what are you going to tell me?" he asked.

Josephine smiled at her friend "Hey! This is my brother, Joseph, Joseph, this is Maxwell, he's a Gryffindor like us!" Josephine gestured at them both and then looked at her friend again "We're just waiting for a few friends, aren't you excited for Hogwarts?"

Joseph shook hands with Maxwell "Hey, congrats on Gryffindor" he said before groaning "A few friends? Josephine! If they take too long I'll leave you here alone" he said.

Maxwell shook back excited to meet other gryffindors. "Hello, Joseph it's nice to meet you!. who all are we waiting on?"

Jordan had just put his luggage on board, and was looking around the station as he heard the mention of other Gryffindors. He turned around and saw 3 of them stood together and decided to go and introduce himself. He stepped up them and confidently said, "Hi, I'm Jordan. I'm a Griffindor too." he smiled. "Do you mind if I hang around with you?"

Presley skipped along into the station as her brother pushed the trolley containing her bright purple trunks. It was funny, the sight of him. A macho (or not so macho) guy pushing trunks that were..purple. Presley giggled. She was so excited to be going back! She held her new wand in her left hand, resisting the temptation to use it. Not until tonight. No magic outside of school. She looked around for Luna. Hadn't they been with each other just a moment ago? The most exciting thing about today was that it was Presley's BIRTHDAY! Today, she was twelve years old. She had danced with joy thismorning, knowing she'd finally caught up to her friends. She felt like such a child, being eleven when everyone else was twelve. But now she was 12. And she was a second year, at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.

Maxwell was happy to meet yet another first year! he shook Jordan's hand back. "hello, Jordan i don't mind!" :D

Jordan sighed with relief, he now had a few more people to hang around with. "Thanks," he said, as he began changing his eye colour just for the sake of it. He loved his metamorph powers!

"There you are!" Faina yelled in relief. "I've been looking all over for you!" She looked up at him and with a completely straight face said "Nice eyes." She could feel her mouth quivering, holding in laughter. It was just too funny! His eyes rapidly changing color! She couldn't contain herself and burst out loud guffaws.

Jordan tried to stay calm, but Faina's laughter was contagious and soon enough he was laughing just as hard as she was. "Damn it Faina!" He exclaimed as he lost control of his powers and he turned luminous yellow all over. "Look at what you've done!"

Aurora smiled, "Obviously." she chuckled a little. "We're going to have a lot of fun this year." she said, already plotting.

"I don't know about cool... she's been acting weird since the whole baby thing - all happy and nice. Just a big bunch of hormones I guess." Aurora shrugged; she was unused to nice Tiffany... there must be something in the water... everyone seemed to be getting nicer. She grinned, "No, you really don't. Too many female hormones and the whole house pretty much explodes." she chuckled. "And since Krys is... well, you know, my dad is pretty much on his own. 'Cept for when Rufin comes round, and even then he's usually with his girlfriend."

What was she going to tell... OH "The grimoire! I found this really awesome potion..." she lowered her voice. "I can't really speak about it now... but I'll be using the Mortaeus Flower." she grinned wickedly, her green eyes glinting with mischief.

"I'm so sorry! Can you change it back?" Faina asked, her laughter dissolving into worry. "I'm so sorry I didn't know that could happen," tears sprung to her eyes, she was so worried!

Violet breathed a sigh of relief to finally be rid of Miss Howard. She loved her, but having her hovering around like that was making her feel like a child, and she didn't want to feel that way today, the day that would be her first as a Hogwarts student. She had hurried down to the south end of the platform, hoping to get away from any of the people who had witnessed her governess fussing with her, and looked around curiously at the people there.

"Oh, a few friends I met, and a long-lost family friend, you'll like them all, they're really nice"

Josephine and Joseph flashed identical grins "It's okay, I'm Josephine, and this is my brother Joseph" she gestured at her twin.

"Oh, a few friends I met, and a long-lost family friend, you'll like them all, they're really nice"

Joseph glared at his sister yet again and then looked at Maxwell "Did devil here told you that we would be arriving to Hogwarts in boats?" he said.

Josephine and Joseph flashed identical grins "It's okay, I'm Josephine, and this is my brother Joseph" she gestured at her twin.

"Hey, nice to meet you" he shook hands with Jordan.

Jai made sure to leave his for school early this time. With new responsibilities, he figured he could arrive early enough to be of some help to new students. Dragging his trunk along behind him and his satchel slung across his body he made his way on the platform.

He looked around and saw a lot of young witches and wizards. Some chatting with new friends, other fighting to get away from their parents. He smiled at the sight. He remembered his time. He tried to run from his father and mother who were trying to straighten his pants. They apparated in front him causing him to fall over from trying to stop.

Shaking is head, Jai set his trunk down and sat on it. He would wait here for the new students and his friends to arrive.

This had happened to Jordan many times before so he knew what to do, he gave Faina a reassuring squeeze of the shoulder and said, "Don't worry it's not your fault, I just need to calm down for a bit, look its fading already." it was and within minutes he looked normal again.
Though he did have an eerie glow for a while after.

Mordred nodded. "I'm just glad we're not the youngest anymore in school. It is fun too to watch kids gape at things." he said as he looked around him and saw a first year tug the sleeve of his companion and started pointing at things.

"I still want a sister." he said as he leaned back. Sure, they can be annoying at times but he never knew what it's like to have one. "So she's not nice?" Mordred asked. She looked like she was though. "You're lucky you have her. I mean, she can look after you even if your mum's not around." he said. "When my parents are not home, it's just me and Calen." he shrugged as he remembered his house-elf crying as he saw him leave for Hogwarts.

"The Mortaeus flower?" he said grinning. "We will be needing the Room of Requirements then." he said as he grinned mischievously. "Oh, by the way I have something for you." he said as he jumped down from his trunk, opened it and got a flat parcel out of its sleeve. "Mum forgot to give it to me thus the delay. And Xchylar's still too weak to fly." he said as he handed her the parcel. "Pictures from last term's End of Term Feast." he said smiling.

Luna saw Presley caught up with her ''Happy birthday Presley'' and she hugged her... DAMN why do we keep loosing Rachel she's probably trying to find us!!! she assured herself. FINALLY going back to Hogwarts going back... home, And she sort of pet Juni and grinned not only were they going back to Hogwarts it was Presley's birthday! She had a present for her but she wasn't giving it to her now when they got on the train would be better.

Everett made his way to the platform, looking around for a familiar face while he mused about what to do next. He was hoping to find someone to chat to, because as excited as he was, he really didn't want to be stuck on the train a loner. Fixing the strap on his shoulder bag to move the weight, he glanced around for someone he might know. Right now, he was bored, and in a social mood.

Aurora nodded, "Though of course, I am a cut above you now Mordaunt, being a third year and all." she said dramatically, making a show of looking down her nose. "Only kidding, though I'm pretty sure I was never this amazed... maybe they're all muggleborns." Her nose wrinkled the tiniest bit - she was still getting over the muggleborn thing.

"You can have mine." Aurora chuckled. "But no, she doesn't look after me. She lives in France with her husband." Yup, big grown up sister gets to move away and pretend like nothing is wrong. "Anyway, when my parents aren't at home neither am I. We go away a lot, Mother works from home so we can go wherever whenever my Father needs to." She shrugged.

Aurora nodded, "Yeah, think... draught of living death but... different." she whispered. "I'll show you later."

"Oh, another gift?" she giggled. "You've suddenly come over all generous over the last few weeks have you?" she teased as he stood up.
"Oh!" Aurora took the photos and looked at them. She burst out laughing. "Oh dear, I look ridiculous..." she smiled and flicked through them, there was one of her and Aaron. "Aaron Man and Anderson Girl TO THE RESCUE!" she said. "That was a good feast... until... well... you know." Aurora flicked back to the other one where she was posing, smiling and waving at the camera. "Can I keep these?" she asked. They would go on her wall in the dormitory, or at home. Well, they would be decorative somewhere.

Dani lugged her trunk along and looked around slightly- here we go again, she thought to herself as she stood for a second and looked around, wondering if she would see anyone that she knew.

"Boats? weird...so we get on a train to ride boats...cool!" He said to Joseph with more excitement than he should have. "but i don't mind waiting for a few more people, Josephine." he smiled and waited with his new friends.

Mordred just snorted at her remark. "Whatever, Quinn. But if you will be needing my expertise in Defense Against the Dark Arts....you know where to find me." he said as he bent down and locked his trunk. "Speaking of DADA, I really hope we get proper lessons this year." he said as he sat on his trunk again. "Hopefully Borr will keep his fat bottom far from Hogwarts."

"It really isn't a gift. It's a promise, remember?" he said as he looked at her while flipping through the pictures. "How's Iris and Aaron, by the way?" he asked.

"Ah, expertise. I see." she grinned. "Know where to find you? I'll have to lose you first." It was true, they had spent a lot of time together recently. "Well I'm pretty sure Borr won't be back this year. Though the dance lessons could be eventful..." she chuckled. "As long as I don't have to dance with someone who can't..."

"Well, thanks anyway." she said. "Oh, I... I don't actually know. I keep meaning to write to them but it's been a bit hectic over the summer..." she shrugged. "With Krys and all... there hasn't really been time to write. Or you would have got a huge long letter half way through." It was true, there had been a lot going on these past few weeks...

"Nice to meet you!" Jordan said, smiling at them both. "Are you both first years?" he asked, unaware that they were twins.

Jory entered the train from the South end of the train. As usual, he was going to find a compartment at the back of the train.
Dragging hid trunk behind him and carrying his owl in its cage under his arm, he barley managed to wave to the people who called out to him.

Amy was boooorrred. Nessie had been comandered by her friends and had dumped Amy, after she had saved her skin from her olds. Rudeness. And she just hadn't found her short/taller blondo friend who screamed a lot and pretended to fight weeping angels. Well not pretend...but yeah, pretend.

OOOOH. THERE WAS SOMEONE. Oh. Everett, rude short boy with humungous feet and a hatred of brussel sprouts. Ah well, she had to find someone so she didn't look like a loner, and he would do. Well..no he would do.

EVEEEREEETTTT! Amy squealed bounding over to him.

Yes. Squeal. Whats so weird about squealing at people you barely knew, huh?

Faina wiped her eyes, feeling stupid. "This is the second time you've seen me almost cry," Faina laughed humorlessly, "I probably look like a blubbering git."

Jordan didn't really know how to act around girls, let alone crying girls. He grimaced awkwardly and told Faina, "You aren't a blubbering git," he reached over and touched her hand. "You don't want to be walking around with red eyes," he said to her as he used his powers to erase the red marks from her face. He'd discovered that he could momentarily use his powers on other people the previous year. "There you go," he said to her as he took his hand away and stepped back.

"Bloody hell!" Faina whispered. She stared at her hand in awe. She looked over at one of the trains windows, staring at her reflection. The redness she should have had from crying was completely gone!

"Thank you" she said smiling up at her friend. "Oh! I almost forgot!" Faina lifted up her white blonde hair to show him the teal streaks she had gotten underneath. They were underneath so that she could hide them from her parents. She had to sneak out into the muggle world to get them done. "What do you think? Cool, eh?"

"Your welcome!" Jordan said as he smiled at the funky streaks in her hair. "I like it, it's a very good look! In fact..." he began as he scrunched up his face in concentration as he copied her hair colours.
"How do I look with it?" he asked as he looked at himself in the window, "You look better with it!" he complimented as he shook the colour off.

Josephine flashed a grin at Maxwell "Thank you, and yep! I want to get on the boats too! They say there's a giant squid in the black lake! Can you believe it?" she asked, bouncing on the balls of her feet in joy.

Josephine smiled "Yep! We're starting Hogwarts! We're just waiting for some friends to come" she said and looked around "They're taking so long TT-TT"

Joseph looked at Maxwell "I bet you she will fall down the boat" he then yelped because of the hit his not-so-lady-like sister had gave him,


"Oh stop whining so much" Joseph rolled his eyes at Josephine "I'm the sane one of the two, she's the social one" he said to Jordan and Maxwell.

Faina laughed at the comparison in the window. He looked ridiculous! She blushed as he complimented her. "Thanks," she looked down, trying to hide her scarlet cheeks. She recovered and pulled her hair up into a high ponytail. "This way people can see it." She explained.

"Oh and do you have any skiving snackboxes on you?" Faina smirked mischievously.

Ivan was thinking about his wand core and picked up Fantastis Beasts and looked up Hippogriff. In his head he was saying, "Hippogriff M.O.M. classification: XXX (Competent wizard should cope)

Everett was all being cool and lonerish, when there was this sudden squeal of what he interpreted as his name, or they were saying BLEEEEBLEEEETTTT. "Ahhhhh!" He half-screamed as something ran at him. When that thing was finally standing still he noticed who it was. Short, brussel-sprout liking girl. Amy.

"Hey," He said, still slightly taken aback that she had run and squealed. "Are you usually that energetic or did someone put too much sugar in your cornflakes this morning?" He asked with a slight grin.

He smiled as Faina put her hair up, he pulled two boxes out of his pocket. "The rest of them are in my trunk." He told her, "I've been tricking my brothers all weekend," he laughed as he relived the scenes of his muggle brothers all mysteriously coming down with somesort of injury.

Well it was that time of the year again and Mia was dragging her feet as she and Nik walked along the platform. It was no secret, to him anyway, that she did not want to go back. She already had planned what she wanted to do with her life and it really didn't consist of using magic.

Looking over at Nikolai as they walked, Mia opened her mouth but closed it again and let out a heavy sigh. It was her last year. Surely she could handle just one more year without him.

Well she could. She just didn't want to.

"Probably no point in starting that whole 'do I have to go back to school' argument again huh?"

They had already done that about a hundred times already.

Skye and her dad Dillon finely got to the south end of the platform. with her 10 year old sister sliding her feet and whining.
"i want to go to hogwarts why cant i go now with Skye its not fair."
Jazzabella was at it again she never stops whining skye thought " Jazz its your turn next and you promised you would look after Tilly for me. make sure you feed her and give her fresh water and clean her out weekly.
" Dont worry Jazz its your turn next year then i will have piece and quiet at last and you did promise skye that you will look after her rat"
"Dad Tillys a hamster not a rat!!!!!!" replyed jazz and skye.
"OK! OK! tillys a hamster. anyway skye have you got everything, all your books ,clothes and all your other things you need and dizzy is here of course i see" looking at the snowy owl who was fast asleep in his cage.

Kurumi has been sitting down on a bench reading through a rather thick book with tiny text. Walnut, finally accepting that he had to spend the first part of the trip in his wicker crate, had fallen asleep and was purring softly. At least one of her more challenging bits of the day was over.

Looking up for a moment while she turned the page, she saw Jonathan go pacing by looking madder than a hippogriff on Sunday. And...why was he carrying a pair of gloves? It was far too hot for such an item of clothing, wasn't it?

"Y-You're hair looks fine," she smiled as she placed her bookmark back in her book and shut it.

Oh Merlin..

Mia was doing that dragging of her feet thing, and he was already groaning to himself at the thought of her bringing THAT conversation up. Again. How many times did he have to tell her she was going back to school? At least, so far, she was actually walking on her own. He really thought he would have to carry her onto the platform.

Nikolai almost rolled his eyes as he heard her sigh. It was her last year and he knew she would regret it if she didn't finish.

"Yeah, there is no point. I just walked through a wall to get you here." He was going to be glad when she did get on that train. That way, that conversation would never have to happen again. Well, it wouldn't happen until Christmas at least.

"Do you have everything you need?"

Jonathan halted when he heard a voice commenting him about his hair. Kurumi. Jonathan smiled as she saw her reading a book. Does every girl have to read books as thick as those all the time? Jonathan is not much a book lover, except for Potions. He reads books but certainly not all the time. Heehee.

"Really?" he said finishing fixing his hair. Jonathan sat down next to Kurumi and looked at the thick book which was now closed. "Oh, don't let me bother you with your reading" yeah. She could be reading something important. Besides, what is she reading about anyway? The covering looks nice anyway. Is it one of those muggle books perhaps?

"How are you?" he asked. Because the last time they saw each other was back then at the shooting range which by the way, still give Jonathan the chills. The game was full of adrenaline-- too much actually.

Geez, he didn't have to look as though he couldn't wait to get rid of her. Okay, so she had been just a little whiny in the past week about having to go back to school but seriously...

Mia was almost tempted to roll her eyes as well and she almost blurted that he didn't have to see her off, he was probably only doing it so that he could make sure that she actually got on the train, but she did not want to start a fight with him. Especially since she was not going to see him for the next four months.

She shrugged her shoulders. "I'm sure if I've forgotten anything you'll have no problems sending it to me." Or she could pick it up personally but she knew he wouldn't let her do that. Techincally though, Mia was of age and if she didn't want to go back to school she didn't have to. But even she had to admit that he had a point about her regretting not finishing her education, she just wished it didn't come as a cost at being separated from him.

"So dad would like us to visit for Christmas. Is that okay with you?" Eh now she was being all formal like. Maybe she should just get on the train before she said something really stupid.

"It looks fine," she nodding in confirmation. She noticed that he was often playing with his hair, at least his bangs. Perhaps there was a spell somewhere that could help with his hair issues? "Oh, this?" she asked turning over the cover. "It's nothing really. Just another book I checked out on dragons. Something to help pass the time and keep my mind of...other things."

Kurumi smiled as he sat down next to her. "I've been alright," she said with a slight bow of her head. "Nervous about the coming term." She looked at him from over her shoulder. Jonathan would be a...fifth year if she wasn't mistaken. "So...you ready to take your OWLs? I am insanely jealous you know."
Kurumi smiled as she watched the family in front of her interact. It must be nice to come here with your family and be able to say a proper farewell. Kurumi had told her father to stay home and work - mostly because she was worried that he would make a huge scene - and the rest of her family was back in Japan.

Kurumi thought she saw the young girl, who she assumed was a first year, look her way, and Kurumi offer her a small smile.

With the way she said it..

Nikolai was going to have to go home and search the house for all the things she had forgotten. Most likely, all the things she had forgotten on purpose. It just seemed like something she would do. Did she remember to bring her demon puffskein? He was not going to have that thing running around the house while she was gone, having it stick it's tongue in his ear when he slept.

Although, Pepper would have fun with it.

Shrugging his shoulders, he pulled her trunk deeper onto the platform and closer to the train. Maybe if she saw how happy all the others were to go back.. Or maybe if she spotted some friends..

He stopped glancing around the platform hearing Mia's question, and his eyebrow threatened to raise at the way she had asked it. "That's fine with me." Like she even had to ask him that. "Do you do anything special for Christmas there?"

Dragons?
That's awesome. It's not everyday you talk to a person, especially a girl, who is very much interested with dragons. "That's wicked" he looked at the book. Jonathan would love to read about those stuffs but he can't even finish reading his CoMC book. And that book has plenty stuffs about different animals.

Wait.

She's reading a book to get her mind off thing? Really. Jonathan doesn't get that. Or maybe he just have a different way of approaching things. His mother was like that too, Jeanne as well, and if he remembers Fee and Cass do the same thing when they want to get their minds off something. Maybe it's a girl's thing. Jonathan laughed softly. "Definitely incredible" he added.

School stuffs and what not is always something to talk about, especially now that the upcoming term is a few days away. Bummer. "Fourth year... I got lazy by that year" he joked around. "You'll do okay." he smiled. Well, Kurumi is pretty smart. Of course she'll do well. Jonathan bets she can still pass the exams without studying.

And speaking of studying.... OWLs!
Jonathan is certainly not ready for those and here Kurumi is jealous of him. Jealous??? Jonathan smiled, it amuses him that she gets jealous over OWLs. "You'll have yours don't worry" true. When this year is over she'll have to answer her own OWLs too. "I'm doing well with Potions" obviously "but i'm scared i might fail Herbology" yeah. If Kurumi can still remember when they both planted those silly bouncing plants. Jonathan felt petrified at that still.

skye looked around saw the girl smiling, she smilled back and decided to say a last good bye "Dad i will see you at christmas, you too Jazz look after Tilly for me"" OK skye be good and send me a letter when your settled in" replyed her dad. " come on jazzabella we can go home and get some lunch. skyes dad quickly gave her a hug and he and jazz left.
skye watched as her dad and younger sister left she was going to miss them but was looking forward to the year. she started to look around to see where she could leave her trunk safely.

He really didn't care, did he? Mia was sure that he couldn't wait to get rid of her that's why he was being like he was. And for some reason she felt the need to be difficult. Maybe it was because he wasn't giving into her like he usually did and she was being a brat about it.

She knew this but yet she just couldn't seem to stop herself. Placing her hands on her hips, Mia merely watched him walk ahead of her while she just stood there. She was not getting on that train yet.

"Yeah. After the gift giving and the feast we all run around naked and give thanks to the gods for the wonderful life they have given us." Yep she was totally being childish and if she didn't stop it soon, Nikolai was going to end up leaving.

Running a hand through her hair, Mia let out another sigh. "Nothing special. Although we do have this tradition of playing cricket."

There she was being called wicked again! Ellie had called her it earlier, but she had clearly misunderstood what she had meant then. This time, however, Kurumi was a little confused this time around since the conversation was involving dragons and they were often considered evil creatures. Instead of saying anything, Kurumi simply cocked her head to the side and smiled awkwardly.

"Dragons are pretty incredible creatures," she nodded in agreement as a slight blush appeared on her cheeks.

"Thanks," she smiled, her cheeks flushing a bit more. Oh, little did Jonathan know that her worries went much further than her studies.

"You are very gifted in potions," Kurumi nodded with a smile. Kurumi was always too nervous during its lessons due to Professor Lafay to really do exceptionally well. "I can help you with Herbology....i-if you'd like."

Kurumi watched as the younger girl said good bye with her family. It was a big step, boarding the Hogwarts Express and beginning the journey of discovering who you were as a witch.

Kurumi was just about to return her attention to her book when she noticed the girl struggling a bit with her trunk. Setting her own things down, Kurumi hopped to her feet and rushed over to her as her long black hair cascaded down her back.

"Here, let me help you with that," she said offering the girl a hand. "The train won't open up for a little bit longer for luggage. You can put it next to my things if you want."

Skye smilled and let the girl take the trunk over to where her things were "thankyou, im skye by the way, idont really no much about hogwarts as my dad is a muggle and mum died when i was just over a year old, mum was a witch you see" skye thought it might be better mentioning something now then soneone finding out the truth later.

It didn't take Nik long to realize that Mia was not walking beside him and he turned around quickly to see where she was.

Although, with the way she was standing there, he was kind of wishing he just kept walking. What had he done now? If it was because he was not letting her stay home from school.. well, she was just going to have to deal with it. She was not dropping out in her last year. Or any year for that matter.

Hearing her answer to his question, he actually did roll his eyes this time. His arms came up in front of himself, and he crossed them over his chest as he simply stared at her. If she was going to be difficult with him, he thought he might as well just leave. He didn't even bother commenting on her real answer.

"Do you want me to leave, Mia? Because I will. And then you'll be free to sulk all you want because you have to go to school." He was honestly getting tired of having THAT conversation with her.

"Yeah, i find dragons really cool. And it's just awesome how you're interested in them" yeah. Not many girls or practically wizards find dragons the most incredible creatures. Which is really sad since "They're misunderstood creatures" he added. He did want to have his own dragon but his father wouldn't let him and yeah, his mother too. His mother only has a cat and the closest thing he has for a pet is an owl. Yup. Dragons. Although, considering them as pets. Wouldn't that be dangerous?

Jonathan smiled. Humble little Kurumi.

Potions was something Jonathan is good at but gifted? Well, he doesn't know about that one "T-thanks" he looked at the ground and smiled to himself. No one has ever told him that. "Lafay's a nice teacher" maybe to Slytherins and to few selected students but she's not all bad.

And with the Herbology thing. Jonathan beamed when Kurumi asked to help him. He nodded. Of course, he definitely want some help with Herbology. He needs all the help he could get. "but i warn you i space out a lot when i study Herbology" he laughed. True story.

"It's no trouble at all," Kurumi replied shaking her head. The smile on her face quickly faded as the girl immediately opened up to her about her family. Kurumi hadn't had the courage to do that her first yet - let alone now. Perhaps this little one would be sorted into Gryffindor. She certainly showed a lot of courage. "Oh...I-I'm so sorry to hear about your mother."

Kurumi dragged the trunk over next to hers and turned around to face the girl. "I'm Kurumi," she said with a bright smile and a slight bow at the waist. "I'll be a forth year this term and..." she trailed off for a bit. Was this the moment, the moment were she admitted to herself the role she was taking on this term?

No time like the present, right?

"...and I am the Gryffindor female prefect."

There, she had said it.

"Anything you want to know about Hogwarts I would be more than willing to try and answer."
Kurumi's eyes brightened. "I think the same thing," she chirped, clapping her hands together. "After all, the motto of Hogwarts is to never tickle a sleeping dragon. I often thought of this as meaning that we should not provoke things that ought not be provoke in the first place. I am pretty sure anyone would be grumpy if you poked and prodded them while they were sleeping, dragon or not." At least, Walnut was always rather grumpy when she woke him up from one of his cat naps.

"Dragon La---erm, I mean, Professor Lafay....nice?" Kurumi repeated with a slight tone of disbelief. "She...intimidates me..." Kurumi had sought out her help towards the end of last term regarding all her friends seeming to lose their memories - which ended up being caused by them being possessed by pirate spirits, go figure - but she had been rather kind to her during that lesson. "She is brilliant, I will agree with that."

Kurumi giggled as her cheeks continued to glow. "I am sure I can figure out some way to keep you focused," she said with a wink. "Cookies perhaps?"

It was kinda like a mexican stand off wasn't it? She was standing there with her hands on her hips and he was there with his arms across his chest. Both of them just staring at each other. Mia had never actually seen Nikolai like this before and strangely she was rather impressed by it.

That was until he spoke.

Mia felt her heart drop into the pit of her stomach and she slowly dropped her hands from her hips and held them loosely at her sides. "No." she said in almost inaudbile voice before clearing her throat. "No, I don't want you to go." Now as stubborn as she could be, she knew that she did not want to go back to school and their last conversation they had was an argument.

Moving over to him, rather hesitantly because he looked quite peeved with her, Mia clasped her hands together and took a deep breath. "I know I'm being a pain and I'm sorry." Maybe because she knew that they were so close to being together all the time that this was the hardest goodbye of all.

"I promise to get on the train without a fuss. Cross my heart." she said using her index finger to trace a cross over her heart. She gave him a faint smile.

Was she forgiven?

Never tickle a sleeping dragon. Of course, no one knows why it's Hogwarts motto in the first place. But that's a great thought. Poke a dragon or any wizard while sleeping and you'll be sorry you ever done it[

B]"Which of the 4 do you think created that motto?"[/B] It could be any of the 4 founders. But dragon is nearest to snakes. So maybe Salazar. But Jonathan is not going to argue about this one. He knew this girl once and they argued with a lot of things especially when it came to the four founder. Pffsshhh She stereotyped Slytherins.

Whatever.

Jonathan laughed this time. Dragon lady. of course, Lafay is known to be the meanest teacher not to mention very strict. "Yeah, Professor Lafay is just as nice" Jonathan said but he can't still laughing. He remembered when the Slytherins won quidditch, Lafay designed the whole common room into a disco themed place. NOW that was really nice of her. "Everyone gets intimidated by Lafay." Jonathan told her. Well, she does have strong features. One of a kind professor.

Cookies??? That's nice. "You would give me cookies just to let me focus on herbology?" Jonathan smiled. He loves Kurumi's pastries especially the cookies. His first tried on last term during the welcoming feast and ever since then, he has been craving for it. No one does awesome, sweet and mouth watering cookies like Kurumi. Now, only if his mother learned how to cook.

Jonathan nodded "Definitely" yey. Cookies!

He really hated that he had to act like that towards Mia, but it seemed that that was the only way to get through to her sometimes. And yes, he took full responsibility for the way she acted. Perhaps he shouldn't always give into her and let her have everything she wanted. He spoiled her too much.

But how could he possibly say no to her? Especially when she looked at him like that.

Nikolai uncrossed his arms and slouched his shoulders a bit. Now he felt bad for even mentioning leaving. Although, if she would have told him to go, he wouldn't have went. It would be the last time he would be able to see her in a few very long months, and he did not want to leave her, the both of them mad at eachother. He shrugged off her apology, "It's okay. So am I." Sorry, he was.

A smile made it's way onto his face when she crossed her heart, and when she finished, he wrapped his arms tightly around her. Their arguments never seemed to last long. "Now will you tell me about Christmas, please?"

"That's an interesting question," Kurumi said as she leaned back in her seat, tapping her bottom lip with her index finger. Helga Hufflepuff, the kindest of them all, would have wanted everyone to be kind to one another, so perhaps she did. Treat others as you would want to treat yourself and this included disturbing one's slumber. Godric Gryffindor most likely didn't have too much of a hand it in, being bold and daring. Approaching a sleeping dragon as part of a dare probably would have been right up his alley. Which left Salazar Slytherin and Rowena Ravenclaw. "I think Rowena Ravenclaw had the biggest say," Kurumi said after several moments in deep thought. "She was the cleverest and had a way with words after all."

Kurumi chose to ignore the conversation regarding Professor Lafay. She didn't want to have nightmares on her trip to Hogwarts.

"You know I would give you cookies regardless," she laughed. "In fact..." she reached into her bag for a medium sized metal tin. As she pulled it out, she removed the cover to reveal its contents. "Here."

It could be any of those four founders really. We can all say that it's Rowena but really it could have been Gryffindor himself or Slytherin or Hufflepuff. Who knows really. "Or maybe one of them really liked dragons." he smiled. Yeah, a somewhat random answer. The motto was in fact not even referring to a certain dragon. They're just using it as a metaphor but Jonathan loves a good joke.

She got silent over the Lafay thing. maybe she doesn't to further discuss her. Maybe Lafay should try to be nicer sometimes, not only to Slytherins and to a few selected students but to everyone. Everytime she walks by it's like every students runs and hide. She is pretty intimidating. Jonathan likes her though. Awesome teacher in fact.

As soon as Kurumi gave him cookies, Jonathan's eyes were sparkling like a diamond. YEY!!! Cookies. In his head, he was dancing like a baboon. He hasn't had one of these in weeks. Yes, weeks. It's pure torture not to be able to eat Kurumi's special cookies. "Don't mind if i do" he took a bite and it tasted like paradise. "What's this called?" he said after munching the first one.

He shouldn't be apologising to her. He had every right to speak to her the way he did. Mia knew that she had driven him nuts over the past week with her sulking and complaining and he had put up with it, like he always did. She really didn't deserve him sometimes.

She let out a breath that she hadn't realised she'd been holding when he smiled and immediately she leaned into him as his arms went around her. This is the way they should have been saying goodbye from the start but she had to go and wreck it. With a small chuckle, Mia looked up at him. "Well we usually have this huge christmas tree that sits in the middle of camp and we each have our own decoration that we place on the tree." She gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. "Oh yeah and you're going to have to make one to put on the tree too." That was going to be fun to watch. Because he was not allowed to use magic.

"Christmas Eve, after the young ones have gone to bed we place the presents under the tree. In the morning we open up our presents, eat a huge feast. You'll love that part." She gave him a wink. "We have a game of cricket and then we party." The whole naked thing was not too far off the mark for some of the people that lived there. She wasn't sure whether to tell him that or not.

Kurumi laughed, not giggled, this time. "So, perhaps you and I are following in the footsteps of one of the Founders then in our love of dragons?" That wasn't a bad thing when you really thought about it. She could certainly live with this concept.

And Kurumi was laughing more when she say the sparkle in Jonathan's eyes and the slight dribble of drool that was trickling down the corner of his mouth. "I haven't come up with a proper name yet," Kurumi said shaking her head as she watched him enjoying the cookies. "They are a chocolate cookie with an orange cream filling. I baked them for the train ride over, although they are mostly meant for first years and prefe---" She cut herself off and her eyes widened like an owl's.

She hadn't even told Selina yet, and she was sure he red head would strangle her for not being the first to know.

Kurumi set the box down on the bench between them and tugged n her hair a bit.

"Jonathan, can I ask you something?" she said timidly. It wasn't that she was looking for a distraction per say, but it was something that she had been wanting advice on for some time. Her best guy friends were far away. Adam...he...he was never coming back - something that still hurt her. Salander was probably busy with Lexi and she didn't want to disturb them. Conan was missing, but she didn't feel comfortable talking with him about relationships just yet. Then there was Treyen, the boy she had been closest with but who clearly wanted nothing to do with her. Truth was, he was the problem. "Do you have someone you like? Not as a friend like, but like like?" She peeked up through her bangs with her violet eyes.

"Maybe..." the four founders were excellent people. They have come up with the best wizarding school ever. Although, it is a fact that Salazard Slytherin hated muggle borns and half-bloods. The 3 didn't see it to be a problem though and neither does Jonathan. His great grandfather and grandfather still abide to that principle though. Purebloods and the superiority and what not. Pfffsshhh. It's not really important anyway.

Jonathan took another cookie. This was just so delicious and Jonathan is notorious for his sweet tooth. He loves chocolates. Last term he ate chocolate cakes most of the time. It's a good thing he didn't gain much. According to his parents, he grew thinner. Really? From the amount of food he ate, he still got thinner?

"No name... but still good" Jonathan finished two cookies already when he heard Kurumi talked about giving them to first years and prefects. "Will you be giving these to someone?" he smiled, well, he doesn't want to tease Kurumi. She did have a rough year last term. No need to remind her about that one.

And then it just got awkward. 0__________________________0.

L-like s-someone. Jonathan turned to Kurumi with a blank expression. "Uhmm.." so how should he say this. "hmmmm" Jonathan is really not good with answering these stuffs. He can talk about anything all day but when it comes to feelings of liking or loving someone he tends to froze.

Which is now, happening. "I l-like someone. Of course i do" he answered that one easily "But I don't have a gir--" gulp. Jonathan didn't want to admit it but "--girlfriend".

Sigh...

He looked down and wanted to hide under a rock. A big heavy rock that no one could see him even if he would just lay there. His cheeks slightly flushed. That was an awkward question to be asking him. "Why?" Jonathan asked. And of course, he wants to know why.

Yes, this was much better.

Nikolai let out a content sigh and.. he hadn't realized just how much he was going to miss her. Sure, he KNEW he was going to, but actually seeing her off to the train, and the fact that she had stayed with him for almost the whole summer instead of just a week or two, it was going to be worse than before. He wouldn't tell her, because she would probably bring up not wanting to go back to school again, but he was so glad this was her last year.

At least he had Christmas to look forward to.

With the way Mia was explaining, even though he was not looking forward to making his own decoration because he was not so good at that kind of stuff, he was excited already. He hadn't had a family Christmas in such a long time. "That sounds fun." Especially the feast part. Pulling away from her, he kissed her softly before wrapping his arm around her waist and pushing her trunk closer to the train once more. He was holding her to that promise she made.

And, since it was going to be brought up anyway.. "I'm going to miss you."

"its ok and thankyou, congrats on getting to be a prefect it sounds really good." replyed skye.
skye had loads of questions to ask but wasnt sure where to start "do first years get to do anything with the magical creatures, i love animals."

Kurumi shook her head as she waited in silence for Jonathan to hear the rest of her question. No, no one in particular. Just the thought of giving them to prefects was enough to make her break out into a rash. They weren't so much her superiors anymore, she was one of them. The youngest she imagined. She had never spoken to the Gryffindor male prefect, despite them both being on the Quidditch team together. He had always seemed to not be at practices and had never made a match. So, she already felt at a bit of a disadvantage compared to the other houses who she was sure knew each other. Hufflepuff had Arya and....Treyen...

Jonathan's small gasp of surprise told her that he had finally registered what she was asking. She tugged on the edges of her white skirt and couldn't bring herself to look at him.

Kurumi breathed a sigh of relief. This would make things a bit easier knowing that he had someone he liked. At least he would be able to relate.

"Would you tell the person that you liked them, even if it would cost you your friendship?"

She was now looking at him directly in the eye now.

"Or, say there was a girl who liked you and she told you how she felt...would you...would you hate her for telling you how she felt?"

Kurumi smiled and took a seat. She gestured for Skye to sit down as well. "There is a class called Care of Magical Creatures, which is open to everyone where you learn all sorts of things," she explained. She opened her bag to look for her tin of cookies so she could offer the girl one. "Last term, for example, we had a sphinx come and visit class. She told us all about herself and even asked us some riddles." Finding the tin, Kurumi removed the cover and offered the girl her pick of them. "I love animals as well. Care of Magical Creatures is one of my favorite subjects."

Well he was taking the whole Christmas deal better than she expected. She had been sure he was going to say something about having to make the tree decoration and he didn't even ask what cricket was because he would have absolutely no idea what that was.

Apparently that was because he was trying to get her onto the train. She had to bite back the whine that was threatening to leave her lips. She had promised him that she wouldn't make a fuss. Even crossed her heart and everything.

Swallowing against the lump that had just suddenly formed in her throat, Mia gave him a small smile. "I'm going to miss you also." So much so that it was already beginning to hurt. Her hand found his and she squeezed tightly but not enough to cause any damage.

"Tell me again how fast the year will go?"

Whoah. Whoah. WHOAH!

Why with all these sudden questions of loving and hating and confessing? Jonathan wasn't read to be asked by these, he did confess twice and got hated for it. Well in way, he can actually give an advice based on experience alone. He's no expert frankly speaking. And he's not the most expressive person you could come across with.

"I liked a friend once" He shared. He actually never discussed this with anyone else. Kurumi would be the first one. "But she didn't quite return the feelings i have. Took awhile for us to talk to each other again" that's probably the risk you have to take when you confess your feelings to someone. "If it were me though, I wouldn't get mad" he didn't smile because talking about this just gave him flashbacks about last term. Awful way to start school.

"I like honest people. If a girl told me she likes me, I would never hate her even though I'm not feeling the same way as she did." what's to hate really? It shouldn't be like that now should it?
"No one deserves to be hated Kurumi. Hate is a strong word. Very." he added as he looked at her.

Then it hit him. Was she talking about Treyen? That Hufflepuff guy from last term? Sure, no one knew what really happened after the news the aparecium lady gave. Well, who else could she be talking about?

Rose walked onto the Platform. WOAH, awesome! I IS BACK! Rose smiled.

He hadn't meant to upset her, he was just.. they were going to have to say goodbye anyway, and even though there was still plenty of time before the train pulled out, he figured it would have been easier to say them goodbyes before that time came. Apparently though, it was just as hard. He was almost regretting seeing her off, because of that.

Nikolai smiled at Mia's question, and he returned the squeeze to her hand. His walking had slowed down quite a bit.. what if the train left without her? No, he had to make sure she was on it.

"It will go by so fast." Well, he hoped it would. "And then when it is finally over, you'll be stuck with me and you'll see just how annoying I can be." See, he was already annoying; he was rhyming.

"WOW i cant wait to start the lessons" skye picked a cookie out the tin "thankyou i didnt relise how hungry i am i hope they have crunchies or dairy milk chocolate" said skye.
skye sat there eating the cookie trying to come up with some more questions "what other subjects are your favourites, i dont really like maths dad tryed to teach it me at home but i dont really understand it?, do you get homework?, oh and whats the food like? i hope they do strawberry jelly my favourite!" skye didnt relise that she asked 3 or 4 questions at once i was getting to carried away. there was so much she wanted to ask before she got to hogwarts for the first time.

Sage had just said good bye to her older brother and younger siblings and had been wandering around the platform. She was struggling with her trunk and owl when she accidently bumped into a young girl talking to an older one.

"Oof!" Sage looked to see what she had bumped into, "Oh Geez! I'm so sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going at all!"

Sage smiled sheepishly...

"You mean...the Ravenclaw girl...right?" Kurumi squeaked looking at him nervously. She didn't mean to pry, the words had actually come out before she realized that she had said them. "S-S-Sorry, I-I don't mean to make things difficult...it's just...I don't feel like I have anyone I can really talk to about all this..."

Kurumi leaned back and listened a bit more. She was glad that Jonathan was the type of guy that appreciated a girl telling her honest opinion. Why wouldn't she like more guys that appreciated honest as well. It seemed like, Treyen didn't...and that hurt the most considering he had always told her that she should be honest and not hide anything. She felt...betrayed.

"I was honest once...the first time I ever confessed my feelings actually and, well, he rejected me. Those feelings anyway. We agreed to give each other space and I didn't see them for months. When I did, at the closing feast, they looked upset that I had even said hello." She sighed and hunched her shoulders. "I feel like I shouldn't have said anything at all..."

She looked up at Jonathan innocently, not realizing the weight of what she was just about to ask.

"I feel like...I am just one of those people who doesn't deserve to feel THAT way..."
"You're welcome," Kurum smiled as she watched Skye eat one of her homemade cookies. "Not to worry, there are plenty of sweets on the food trolley. I recommend the licorice wands." Kurumi sat silently, giving the first year her undivided attention. "Actually, Arthimancy is perhaps my other favorite subject." She simply couldn't decide between it and Care of Magical Creatures. "Of course I will help. Even if we are not sorted into the same house, I can help you in the library instead of the common room." And then came a whole bunch of questions at once and Kurumi couldn't help but giggle. "Each class gives you homework," she nodded. "The food is fantastic. The house elves are always busy at work preparing things. I go down to the kitchens sometimes in my free time to bake cookies and they are always very accommodating."
Holy Hippogriff!

Kurumi jumped to her feet when she saw another younger student stumble.

"A-Are you alright?" she asked as her violet eyes scanned her for any visible scraps or anything. The platform was becoming more and more crowded as it became closer and closer to it being time for the Hogwarts Express to depart.

"Here, let me help you with your cage."

This had been a bad idea having him come see her off. Previously she would say her goodbyes to him at home and then she would just go. Here though, it was slightly agonising having to wait for the inevitable separation.

They were standing in front of one of the doors and Mia looked over her shoulder at the train and she could feel her eye beging to sting. "I like it when you're annoying." she said as she turned back to look at him. She did her best to smile at him but it was a little bit wobbly. "And we'll have Christmas and Spring Break." So it won't be too bad. She hoped.

Letting go of his hand, Mia reached up and grasped his shirt with her hands and pulled him to her. Tipping her head forward, her lips found his and it started with a light brush before she closed her eyes and deepened the kiss.

After a few moments, she pulled back, letting go of his shirt. "When I get on the train, I want you to leave straight away." Her bravado was starting to falter and if he stayed any longer, she was going to lose it completely.

Taking a step backwards, Mia pressed two of her fingers to her lips. "I love you." Anothet two steps and she could feel the train door at her back. She lifted a foot and stepped onto the train, never taking her eyes off him.

"Always."

Jonathan laughed lightly when she called Jeanne, Ravenclaw girl. Well she is under Ravenclaw but the fact is after they both started to talk again it was practically normal. Awkward at first but then after awhile Jonathan tried to forget and became sober about. Heck, they both even joked about it sometimes. And finally Jonathan realized that his feelings for her were more of short-term. Infatuation or whatever it is they call it. "Yeah, Ravenclaw girl" he nodded. "It's okay. We're both friends again." they are thankfully.

OKAY.
No crying. It might look like Jonathan is bullying her or something.

Jonathan smiled and tapped her shoulder for comfort. "Everything's going to be okay." that's what Ayumi always told him. Everything will be unfold anyway. "Give this one some space and when you guys are ready to maybe talk. Then talk about it." situations like this should be carefully done. Time heals and giving someone some space to think is definitely appropriate, especially Treyen. Like she said, he kinda hates her right? Sooner or later he'll talk "He'll come around Kurumi. Don't worry"

So maybe Jonathan is not big with words. He didn't quite grow up in a family full of emotions. Giving out advice is not his forte but he likes to help. Jonathan was in the same situation as Kurumi before.
