Why was everyone so afraid to enjoy a drink and a snack.... She didn't understand it.

A burst of light shot out from between the ranks of protesters. It turned in the air to address the crowd in a woman's Welsh-accented voice.
"Ben, if you're still here, we need you down in the Department of Mysteries."
The patronus gave a sharp bark and disappeared in a flash of white light.

Tim was sitting down on the Pavement when he heard Someones Voice.He looked around to see a Girl Shake him Violently.''Who are you?"He didn't exactly know who she was.Thinking about the Question''No!.''

Esteban smiled, he at least had figured it out. He knew, or at the very least think he knew, what was going on inside the ministry. Gina had confirmed his suscipions with out even known that she had. He was glad that at the very least things were happening inside. Seeing as there wasn't much going on out here. But it kept the watchful eyes, of those who didn't know, still with out knowledge and THAT is what the needed.

Esteban shifted his weight again and looked at the refreshement that were being shoved in his face again. "No thank you," He told the person who was carrying them. He would not be eating anything out here, they needed to stay suspicious of everything, just in case the cult was doing something funny.

Yes of course it was working. Melanie has heard that Borr is in them middle of being arrested in his very own office. She wonders how tough it may be for several witches and wizards to successfully arrest the big lump of lard, Borr must be. She hoped that it might be over soon since the strike has been going on for quite some time now.

"I'm o-okay, Divinity!" Ruby sipped more of her juice to get the shakes out. Ahhh much better!
Ruby smiled graciously after making another fresh iced tea with lemon, and handing a raspberry Danish, "It is freeee darling!" Silently, Ruby then performed a cleaning charm on the counter that had droplets of liquid and fruit stains. "It is a hot day, and we plan to stay for as long as possible, now let us all get comfortable and have a pitcher of our lovely Juiicccee." Ruby sang the last first words to signify her point! It was a Picket Line on a hot day! People must be dying of thirst and hunger!

Vinnie wondered what Ruby had in that juice bottle. She was so perky ALL the time. " Oh, Ruby. The table looks so much better. I'd love some of whstever it is your drinking. Maybe it'll liven me up. " she smiled.

"Thanks! This is actually really fun!" Ruby began smacking her lips to keep the delicious taste of her juice. "Oh," Her special ingredient.. Ruby turned her head both ways to make sure no other eyes were spying her. "Well, it is a special thing my mother showed me how to make." She reached in her bag for another bottle of her special concoctions, it was so deep in her purse, Ruby had to put her whole head inside the bag to dig it out. "J-Just a moment!"

Aha! Not even for a second after saying that she found it, it was in a deep purple bottle, but before taking her whole head out of the bag, she briefly rubbed the drink in soothing saying her last goodbyes before emerging. "T-This drink will give a kick to your day, I-I hope you like grape, plum and fresh berry flavor." Ruby blinked rapidly to prevent any tears before she handed it over to Divinity. "Let me know how it tastes." Oh please, let her not waste a droplet, Ruby hoped. Juice is a sacred drink!

Melanie stood dazily. Has Borr been arrested yet?. It was getting very tiring to stand here now and not hearing progress about the arrest of Borr. She called out to the other strikers, "Hello all fellow strikers! Has anyone heard news about the progress of Borr's arrest? How much longer are we needed to protest against?"

Dianna went to the Picket Line. Yep, there were people in the Strike too. She waited for her pal, Mandie, and her Depart head, Constance. What took them so long?

While waiting, the blonde fiddled with her hair and kept her wand in her pocket. She also remembered her sister, Katrina, at home. She was probably getting ready to go the Diagon Alley to buy her Second Year things. Yeah, okay.

Since no one seemed to be talking about Borr's strike anymore, Melanie decided that she needed to deposit some money into Gringotts. She realized that she had much money in her house and hadn't made an account yet here in London. She unlinked arms with her fellow protestors and apparated to the bank.

She could hear the noises from inside the ministry... she wanted to see what was going on... Had Borr been taken down? Who would take his place. Why wasn't someone coming out to update them!!!

A golden labrador ran out between the protesters, nose to the ground, doing what she did best - tracking. This was Lights' specialty, but since she had nothing solid to work with, she had to rely on Alexander Wrekin's smell being similar to the other Cultists', which was a slim chance in itself. Still, she was trying her best.
Lights wondered why the protesters were still here anyway. She'd heard that Borr had gone down with his ship ... they didn't know?! Lights transformed into human form, gently pushing aside startled protesters.
"Borr's been, ah, subdued," she told the protesters at large, mainly aiming for the leader, Mrs Latorta - still known as the crazy lady in Lights' mind. She grinned at the people who'd stood up for their rights. "You won!" Actually, everyone won in this, and MLE for the most part, but Lights thought the protesters should be given some credit.

Lights was tracking Wreckin and Ben had been running after her, but he had gave up on keeping up with her in her animagus form so he began apparating to different parts of the ministry to find her. He ended up at the Picket Line and there she was, announcing to the protesters that they had won. It was a victory for the MLErs too so he was glad that she was giving some credit to the protesters. He approached Lights grinning, "Found you at last, I lost you back there!" he said, "They won then?" he asked, he didn't really know what had happened.

Lights grinned at Ben. "I'm easy to lose sometimes," she teased. "Yep, Team One apparently had a lot of fun with Borr. I with I'd been there to see that ..." She trailed off wistfully, then glanced around the picket line. "No cultists," she admitted. "Not as far as I can see. I think I've lost the trail. I need something solid to work off, a real scent, not just fragments." It was very frustrating.
A thought popped into Lights' head. She'd been meaning to ask someone about it for a while, but hadn't gotten the chance. Ben seemed a good person to ask. "Um, Ben?" she said tentatively. "If a murderer is caught, what's the punishment? How long are they locked in Azkaban?"

Ben was caught off guard by Lights' question, "it depends really, if they've been convicted before. Was it in self defence? Was it to catch a convicted criminal?" he said, "The sentence can range, but unless they were doing it for a better cause - you know catching a criminal - you can expected sentence to be pretty heavy." he shrugged, "Why?" there had been something in Lights voice which had piqued his interest.

Lights bit her lip. Tell Ben or don't tell Ben? She'd told Dean, and she was sure he was on the case now, getting ready for an arrest. She couldn't let that happen, she could let Dean arrest ... She swallowed. "My dad killed my mum when I was seventeen," she said in a low voice. "He counts as a criminal, doesn't he? If he was killed accidentally, in self defence ..." Lights stopped, realising that she wasn't making sense, and that she'd have to tell the whole story now. "Dad came to my flat," she explained quietly. "He threatened my family and me. Ethan ..." She shook her head, tears coming to her eyes. "I hated that old cowardly git, I thought I'd be happy he was gone for real ... but I'm scared for Ethan. I can't lose him, my kids can't lose him." Lights choked up, tears running down her cheeks, her hand over her mouth to try and stop the sobs.

Ben's face turned to one of shock, realising why Lights had asked the strange questions to start with. "As he killed your mother, I guess he would be a criminal..." he listened to the rest of the story. "So what I'm getting here, is that when your father began to get violent and threaten you, Ethan stepped in and then involentary killed your dad." he thought he'd got it all. "I'm going to keep this to myself, you can be sure of that." he said, "I'm on your side, I will do all I can to help you and your family. But, I have to ask this, were you involved at all with the death." he asked, "Because then you may also be in the firing line as well as Ethan."

Lights was extremely grateful to Ben for his tact, and would have smiled at him if she wasn't crying. She nodded at his question, taking a deep breath to speak. "I got angry too, Ethan stopped me from killing Dad myself. Ethan actually cast the curse, but I was there, and so were my children, Ezekiel and Bellissa. They saw him die. I want to erase their memories, but I don't want something to go wrong and them to forget everything. It's a big thing to forget." Lights' whole childhood was a patchwork of fragmented memories because her dad erased her memories of her five-year animagus development. Most of those memories were of extreme agony. "My children had nothing to do with it," she added quickly. "They're both only four years old." They wouldn't convict young children for murder, would they?

"Okay, that would work in your favour. It wasn't directly your fault really, and it was Ethan doing it in self-defence, I think that narrows down the possible punishments." Ben said, shaking his head. "The ministry has done some messed up things in its time, but there's no way that they'd sentence 2 four year-old children." No, not a chance. "And I wouldn't advise erasing memories, there's a big chance of it going wrong."

Lights nodded, wiping her eyes with a tissue. There goes the mascara again. "Thanks," she said, looking up at Ben and smiling shakily. "Dean Benson knows about it too, but he's not being as positive about it. He walked off after I told him, I think he's going to arrest Ethan, accidental murder or not. I'm not sure if this makes any difference, but Ethan didn't use an Unforgivable." There had been a lot of blood, not like if he'd used the Killing Curse.
"I'm going to protect Ethan to the end," added Lights, her bright green eyes flashing defiantly. "If I can stop him going to Azkaban, I will. I'll do anything." If she needed to bribe a member of the Wizengamot, she'd resort to that. Lights was that desperate.

Nala stepped into the crowd, arms folded across her chest. Walking steadily towards the throng of people, she listened to the sound of her heels on the tarmac.
Spotting a familiar face from another part of the Ministry, she stepped forward and lightly touched her on the arm.
'Hello...' She said softly. 'Is this..' She waved her arms around indicating crowd of people, 'done?..' Nala mashed her lips together. She remembered the lady's name to be Lights.. or something like that.

Ben nodded, "I'll speak to Dean, if you want." he said, "As I said, I'm on your side, we'll need to talk to Ethan about it sometime soon," he spoke steadily. "What curse did he use if he didn't use an unforgivable then?" he asked, that made it a bit better. "I know you will Lights, but please do not do anything rash," he said. "You need to think of your children as well as Ethan right now." he said to her.

"Ethan used Sectumsepra," replied Lights, shuddering. She'd never forget the blood, and neither would Ezekiel. He'd be traumatised for life, probably, his fear of blood only increasing. Lights listened to Ben's advice, nodding. "I'll try not to do anything stupid. My children need me, I know, but they've lost a sister and a grandparent already this month. Losing their dad as well would break them." Her hand went to her stomach, where her baby should have been. Ezekiel and Bellissa had been heartbroken over the loss of Naomi, and had mourned Trystan even if their mother hadn't. "Thank you," she said quietly. "Thank you for listening to me, not just jumping to your own conclusions about Ethan and my dad."

Lights turned to see a woman standing behind her. "Oh, um, yes, I think so. Borr's been taken down, you see, so there's really nothing to protest about. Except if the new Minister is worse, and you've got to admit that's unlikely." She smiled. "I'm Lights, by the way," she introduced.

Nala smiled, and nodded. 'Oh, brilliant.' She just stood there. Nodding. Like a nodding dog. Running a hand through her thick hair, she smiled at Lights. 'That's a very pretty name..' Nala's family all had pretty unique names, but nothing like Lights. 'I'm Nala.. Minister's Office.' She introduced herself, smiling again. Always smiling.

'Hm.. Do you have any idea who the new Minister will be? I haven't been working her long.' She explained, rubbing her hands together.
