Lights managed to get back her usual bright smile for Ethan. "Of course I am," she said. "I'm keeping you guessing." Not that Lights had ever needed to employ this tactic ... But she wasn't going to tell him about her suspicions until she needed to. That would probably be if and when she needed a patronus sent. "Just ... stick around, okay? Moral support," she added quickly, feeling a cover story was needed.

And he approached the three Cultists.
Ebony approached the nearest Cultist, which happened to be the old one. "Oy!" he said. "May I ask what Department you work in, if you work in the Ministry?" And he assumed he did, if not, then why try to get in the Ministry. Unless this was some Cultist gathering...
Then he turned to the one who just arrived. Who was she? Lights had said she was a Cultist, and it was probably true, as she was trying to get in. "Course he has." Ebony answered her. "Or do you call suspending the MLE department not that bad? But may I ask WHY you need to come in at this moment?" he asked her in a non-chalant voice.
Lights had to admire Ebony's dare. She wondered briefly whether she should go up and help him, but then decided that it was best to keep up her cover as a random woman watching the protest rather than an MLE'er. So she shot Ebony a good luck smile and continued to watch proceedings out of the corner of her eye.

"I'll just keep an eye out then," Ethan said. He backed up a bit, but amended himself to keeping close to Lights. His wand was still ready, hiding just up his right sleeve if he needed it. He felt a little better now: at least Lights hadn't lied about hiding something...

Nicole smiled at the lady down the line of the chain and said "I agree NO MORE BORR!" She looking back at the woman and said, "Nice to meet you Melanie, I'm Nicole Botts."
Alexander quirked an eyebrow as the idiot woman called him by NAME. There was no way she COULD know him. The MLE minions, he understood. Whatever...
Shaking his head at the lot of them and snorting slightly he moved up beside Ennis and Gretchen still keeping quiet for the moment. Nodding once to The Creeper he then winked at Ms. Montasio. He had missed her so. "Yes it would seem that this lot of yahoos is indeed trying to keep innocent people from entering the Ministry on official business. Tragic that they are so very weak minded and simple, really." Yes he said all of this at his normal volume, but considering the racket they were making... well. If they heard him he cared not.
Sighing slightly he looked around to see if he could spot his brother anywhere nearby. Nope. Not wanting to set the rowdy crowd off, he opted NOT to pull his wand and send a Patronus to Ren. What were they going to do? If they were late... well no one wanted to be late when the MAN called you together.
This is where her adaptability worked for the best, for she was in the least concerned about those people linked together by their arms (mind you, why were they doing that to begin with?) until she realized the only way to her workplace was through them and something resembling a frown, but not quite like one, appeared on her face.
If they were going to be the reason for Maggie to be late for work, then she was going to be a very mad Unspeakable.
Rather interesting, it was, to witness how people was brought together by the most unusual of things. Really.
Ren was already at the Ministry building when he heard about the summons from a certain Prophet. As he walked by he glanced at the protesters making a mess of things. He would've easily ignored them had not a few familiar faces caught his eye...

Lights was now very, very jumpy. She moved out of sight behind a cluster of protesters, pulling Ethan with her. "Okay," she whispered, still keeping on guard. "Here's where you can be useful, Ethan. I need you to go to the park, or someplace you won't be seen, and send a patronus to Team 2. Tell them we've spotted Sakura at the entrance, but he doesn't suspect anything yet." She gave her husband a little push in the general direction of away from the protesters. "Your patronus will find them, probably. I'll explain everything later."
Lights continued to watch and wait from behind her screen of people. If anyone pulled their wand, she'd be there the fastest. For now, she needed more backup than just two MLE'ers and a janitor. A capable janitor, but a janitor nonetheless. Sorry.

He held a hand out, trying to reach out to the new Mysteries staffer. This is definitely not how he wanted his new staff to think this was how things are normally done in the Ministry.
Andrina made her way to the ministry as soon as she got the urgent message. She had a feeling something big had to be going on if they were getting an urgent message like she received. Heading towards the ministry she was full expecting to waltz right in to her desired location. Instead she was met with a group blocking the way in. What was all this about? Why were they not allowed in?
Spotting her friends she made her way over to them. "What's going on here? Why can't we get in?" Looking past the crowd she spots Ren. "Ren, what's going on? Where's Martel?" And where was Ikenna? Was he there and she just couldn't see him?

That voice...sounded so familiar for some strange reason. It shouldn't sound familiar since she's only heard it very few times but the voice itself didn't catch her attention. Something else did. What the voice said was what made her look towards a particular group of people.
See, today was the day she shouldn't have ventured into Muggle London and risk arriving at her desk at a very unreasonable hour. The Encephalons aren't going to appreciate that.
Her boss, on the other hand...could be well-aware of why Maggie was not at her desk at the moment. Good timing, Mr. Sakura. But...those people needed to get inside as well...to a meeting?! And the Ministry employees were preventing that from happening?! Oh. If only the Daily Prophet were here. "Mr. Sakura!" she exclaimed, trying to get as close to where he was as possible. "Do they need to get inside now?" she asked, her eyes wandered off to the ones Ren was referring to.
Maggie was on the other side of the human barrier...perhaps there was something she could do to help them out? Maybe?
Ren was already at the Ministry building when he heard about the summons from a certain Prophet. As he walked by he glanced at the protesters making a mess of things. He would've easily ignored them had not a few familiar faces caught his eye...

Marcus shifted his weight from foot to foot, scowling as he took in the swarm of protestors around him. Really. Had they nothing better to do? Marcus was all for free speech, just as much as the next bloke, but couldn't they see they were causing more harm than good? He winced as he thought of several Cuddling Concoctions and Blushing Brews that would be absolutely ruined due to this little fiasco.
Ah, the thankless work of an Unspeakable.
Truthfully, he could care less about the entire situation. Marcus fervently abhorred politicians and rather thought them crooked, the lot. What did it matter who was in charge? They'd be out soon enough with an even slimier replacement in the end. Best to stay out of it.
Spotting his Head looking rather cross indeed, he squeezed between the bodies until he'd made his way through the crowd. "Mr. Sakura? Sir... I don't believe I need to say this, but this is a nightmare! I know for a fact that mine and several of my colleague's experiments will be ruined by this fruitless demonstration. The sooner this ends, the better. Is there anything we should be doing in the meantime?"
Gavin's eyes flickered to each person that appeared infront of them. Important business...right. He recognized a few from around the streets and even Ren he'd seen in the ministry a few times. Department head came to mind actually. But they had strict orders not to let no one past, so he wasn't about to. Spreading his feet a bit wider apart and one foot just slightly back from the other, he was ready for a fight if that's what it came to.
He didn't even have to look at his department head to know these people were the ones they were expected to keep out.

For the time being, Gretchen chose not to respond to the man who had apparently appointed himself speaker for the people blocking their entry. First, she sent a smile over to Alexander, as the man seconded her words. In his own way, but at least it meant she had backup if needed. She could always count on him. But then, it seemed ignoring the angry mob wasn't going to get them very far, so she turned back to the man who had answered her simple questions. "I would imagine he had plenty of good reasons to suspend the MLE apparition licenses. Perhaps they weren't doing their jobs," she replied, just as calm as he was trying to be. Nobody ever got anywhere through violence, or at least that was her belief. It seemed these people weren't quite as level-headed.
Before she could address his other question, though, it seemed the others had arrived. She nodded slightly as Ren spoke up, confirming that they had a reason, at least, for needing to get inside. "Exactly. I can't imagine you really believe anything will get done if you're preventing people from doing their jobs," she added, letting Ren field Andrina's questions as the other woman reached their group. She was determined to talk her way through the mob. At least, she could do so if they weren't all so simple-minded as to be beyond common sense. Mob mentality seemed to support the idea that they might not be quite as easy to convince, but she wasn't going to give up easily.

Lights saw the people she was supposed to be detaining start to filter through. Ack, not good! She stepped out from behind her cover, and walked towards the woman, who was nearest. She looked completely confident and relaxed, like she was used to doing this job. Add a good acting ability to her resumé. "Hello," she said pleasantly, smiling at the woman, who she knew to be Gretchen Montasio. Her research was coming in useful. "I'm going to need to see your pass, please. You need a pass to get through." Making it up on the spot, and yet Lights still smiled like she did this every day. "Do you have one, Miss ...?" She waited for Montasio to insert her name. She had to keep her distracted, long enough for Ethan's patronus to get to the rest of her team.

Ben stealthily moved into the Picket Line, watching out for anyone who could potentially be a suspect. He looked around for anyone in his team, keeping to the shadows out of sight. This was where his professionalism showed fully, he became alive in the field. He noticed Lights Lennox break her cover and confront a woman he knew as Gretchen Montasio, he kept his wand at the ready just in case things got out of hand.
Ren, Gretchen, Miss Wisteria.. and crowd in general
The Revolutionary
Alex did not smile when he saw his brother, in fact it irked him even more to see Ren on THAT side of things while he stuck dealing with morons. Scanning the crowd he looked for a way through that did NOT involve violence, even if he did prefer that method. Sighing to himself he locked eyes with Ren and gave him a LOOK. One that said he had better get him through somehow or he would start blowing things up.
Breaking said gaze his eyes landed on Andrina and then on Gretchen. Seeing her smile he nodded at her. She was always better at dealing with stupid people than he was. It was her gift, he thought. Oh... someone said MISTER SAKURA. Funny stuff. He turned his attention to the lady speaking to Ren and nodded vehemently. "I am sorry I do not know your name, Miss... " he trailed off waiting a moment for her to provide it. "But, yes we DO need to get into the Ministry now. It is of the utmost importance that we do so. We are here on official Ministry business, you see. We do not want to force our way through, contrary to popular belief it would seem," he said as he gestured to the crowd. Especially the ones that seemed to be set on their being INTRUDERS with EVIL motives. They were there for a meeting, nothing more. Perhaps the nice lady could help them, yes? He smiled and nodded encouragingly at her.

Hawk was one team four, and this man was one of the people he was watching. Hawk slowly approached him. "What is your business here, Mr. Wrekin?"

Hawk Ebony rolled his eyes. "Uh-huh..." he said sarcastically. "And suspending an ENTIRE department is not going to encourage criminals? Yeah right."
But that wasn't the point at the moment anyway. The point was that his orders were to NOT let anyone through. And he was on team four... This was one of the people he was supposed to be watching. "Sorry Miss, but I never even saw you at the Ministry. You have evaded my question on what department you are in. And we have orders to not let you in."

Esteban looked at the arrivals and sighed. He was worried about those here that he cared about. He hoped that this wouldn't turn into a fight, and he hoped he didn't get fired.....oh boy...
He sighed, maybe getting fired was worth what was going on here. He looked his arms tighter with those who were close to him. Gina, and J.J. and he turned back toward the new comers. "Business or no...you WILL NOT be getting through here." He said and looked at Gina, to make sure she was still doing okay.
Esteban was going to stand his ground this time...he would.
Elizabeth apparated to the picket line, she had her cloak around her, and she had a spell to conceal her baby bump. She heard news that the strikers need help, something about a cult or what not so she decided to check it out. Talking to the strikers, "Do ya'll need help?" She didnt make a move to her wand just yet but she could easily get to it.

Lights turned to Wrekin and smirked. "If this 'official Ministry business' is so important, why don't you tell us what it is? If it's really as big as you make it out to be, we can allow you to pass through." She shrugged. "No valid reason, no go, mate. Sorry." She didn't mean the apology, though, and it was clear in her voice tone. Did Wrekin seriously believe they were going to let him in so easily?

Eliza was on her way to Diagon Alley to visit the Quality Quidditch Supplies Shop and inquire the shopkeeper about some things regarding the import and export of Broomsticks. Prior to that, she was to pass the Picket Line where a thrilling scene was already taking place. And as she was an employer in the Ministry, she figured it was high time to make her move.
She pushed herself forward, moving inside on the raging crowd until she came near to the Cultists who are currently asking the MLE employees to let them inside the Ministry. She could identify the presence of Ren Sakura and his brother even if she could not really see them due to the large number of people trying to stop them.
She had to help them get inside. "Sonorus." She mumbled as she pointed the tip of her wand on her throat. Then she shifted and tried to catch everyone's attention. "Let them in."
Eliza said, referring to the Cultists. Her voice had became louder than usual and that was good for she wanted everyone to hear that.

Esteban looked at the lady who just appeared. First off, not every employee here was from MLE, second, Magical Cooperation started this so he thought they should at least get a little credit for what they do. And thirdly, and most importantly, there was no need to for the spell to make her voice louder.
"Not a chance" Esteban told her in his 'normal' voice to prove a point that magic wasn't necessary here. They were being peaceful and so should they....well as peaceful as you can be by not letting people into the ministry.

"We are taking a stand."
Now somebody's talked to her. But this person seemingly wants to have a debate. And she did not have time for such. All she had to do right now was to help the Cultists get inside the Ministry. "Stand?" She asked the man as she flicked her wand once again towards her throat, causing her voice to return to normal.
"Stand against what? Them?" She gestured the Cultists. "They are just here for a meeting. Nothing more, nothing less."

Esteban gave a heavy sigh. So this was how this day was going to go. It was like he had done this before. In fact a few days earlier he did this. He wasn't sure how to feel about to be honest. He looked at the lady, well if this was how it was going to be then so be it.
"Just here for a meeting...and what do you think will come of that meeting?" Estban asked her thinking of all the rumors that were circling the cult. He knew of the dissappearances. He knew of the murders and tortures. "How many more professors or shop keepers will go missing after that meeting." Esteban accused, he knew how the MLE employees felt about this as well, so he hoped there was no chance he would get arrested for his accusations.
