As you approach the oak framed door, the first thing you come across is the Dark Mahogany Plaque that is nailed to the center informing you of who’s office your are at…



As you walk in, the office seems cosy and warm. A contrasting to the Plaque on the door, Light Mahogany desk it placed at the very back of the room, a pair of comfy chairs ordered strategically in front of it.

To the right is a window, allowing floods of light in. The walls are decorated in shades of Magnolia and Duck Egg blue, making the room light and airy. A small cabinet lies to the left of the desk, within it, papers and important documents the woman may need in the department. A plant pot lies on top, just to give it a more outdoorsy look, for she was used to travelling.

But there is no forgetting this womans love for Magical Creatures great and small. Dotted around the room are several photographs and memorabilia from her travels around the world in search for new creatures.

Take a look to the left and you’ll see one of her favourite things. Perched upon a branch in the very corner, stands a rarely seen, fire coloured creature. A Phoenix, aptly named Amadeus. The bird like creature makes no mess and causes no harm.

Sat behind the desk, is a woman. The woman you are here to see………

Ms. Erica Radley

Ryanne Had heard that there was a new Department head and she wanted to be the first to welcome her. She walked up to the door and gave a slight but distinguished knock. Then waited.

Erica was sat comfortably in her large chair behind her desk. Amadeus was perched in his usual spot in the corner, rather peacefully, just looking placidly at his owner as Erica smiled back. She flicked her head back out the window, sun rays starting to fill up the room. The older blonde tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. It was her first day, she was allowed to feel even slightly apprehensive.

But then came a knock on her door. Well, she hadn't been expecting that but this was good. This meant that at least one of her now employees had taken notice of her new Position.

"Come in" she called, inviting whomever it was stood there into the room.

"Hello, Mrs Radley, Im Ryanne Justice. I work in your department, Werewolve Regulation and Capture. I just wanted to stop by and congratulate you on your new position." She said with a smile

Eddie Moon was early for his first day of work. The thirty three year old appeared calm and collected as he made his way down the corridor of Level Four towards the door of his new boss's office: Erica Radley. The name, to Eddie, suggested that she was young and approachable and carefree.

...But then names could be as misleading as appearences.

Smoothing his suit down, the impeccable Irishman had decided against a tie for today for want of appearing casual and easy going. He came to a halt outside the office and rapped at the door three times. He took a pace back and waited for a reply.

Erica lifted her head to see a woman walking into her office. The thirty one year old smiled at her and nodded her head down at one of the chairs in front of her. Did she want to stay long or was that all she was going to say?

"Thank you Miss Justice. Or would you prefer to be called Ryanne?" the new Department Head asked. "And its Ms, not Mrs. Oh and please call me Erica" she added on with a wry smile. Not married. At least not yet. She was hoping to be though. That was in her list of things to do. Once the hype of this job died down slightly. "Thank you. I very much look forward to working with you" the Blonde woman stated.

This was exciting was it not? The fact she had her own office in the Ministry of Magic.

But then came another knock and Erica looked beyond the woman and at her oak door. "Its open" she called loud enough for whomever was stood there to hear. Well this was definitely a good sign. She tossed a piece of paper in the bin quickly whilst waiting for the other to enter.

"Refreshment?" she asked the first politely.

Taking a seat, she had finished most of her paperwork and needed a break anyways. ''Ms.Rad...I mean Erica, If I may I know this is only your first day and I am no division head" but she liked to be "but when you have time maybe we could discuss somethings that may help this department out" She asked "No thank you i have my coffee, and you can just call me Ryanne not titles are needed."

Carley knocked gently on the door. Oooooh, she hoped this new lady was nice. Even if she wasn't, she'd be giving her a warm welcome anyways. She was just nice like that. Anywho, she was simply ecstatic to meet her. It was a her wasn't it? .... Yes, she thought so.

'It's open.'

Eddie reached out and turned the handle, pushing open the door, his gaze landing first on the pretty blonde behind the desk and then the other young lady in the room. He focused back on the blonde whom he presumed to be the Department Head. His mental image may well have been accurate.

“Excuse me, Ms Radley, is it?” He asked in his soft Irish brogue, not entering the office. "I'm sorry to interrupt. I'm startin' work here today and the letter told me to report to your good self.” He flashed her a smile.

Erica listened to the young woman speak, nodding intently as she talked about what she thought of the Department. "Well I'd like to give it a few days first, see what I think about it first. Then I may be open to suggestions from my employees" she stated with a smile. If things went HER way then it would all be good. If they stuck to deadlines and followed guidelines then she was happy. "If you ever did have anything you wanted to say, my office door is wide open" she flashed her white teeth then returned her eyeline down to a sheet of paper lying in front of her. Paperwork. Always the worst part.

Then came a further knock. Her head once again popped up as she looked over at the door. "Come straight in" she called out once again, loud enough for them to hear. Goodness she didn't know she would BE this popular first day. Though getting this done was kind of important right now!

Then in came the second person knocking. A male this time. The Blonde flashed a smile and directed down at the chair in front of the desk, next to the females. "Yes but please call me Erica" she repeated. She'd probably have to say this a lot in her first few days. But the Irish accent, well that was rather...Pleasant. She had been there. Searching for Augurey's a few years back. He'd been sent here? Well that was probably the most appropriate place to be sent. "Please sit" she smiled and directed down at the chair again. "Drink?" she offered politely, picking up her own cup of tea. "You were told correctly" she nodded, "But may I ask your name?" she asked. That would be a good start.

Carley pushed the door open, aiming a smile at the woman at the desk. She took a few steps in. "Hello ma'am, my name is Carley Lee." She smiled again. "I would just like to welcome you as our new Department Head."

She fidgeted slightly, unsure of what to do with her arms. She tried crossing her hands in front of her and an awkward position with them half on her hips before dropping them to her sides casually. There.

"Im going to get back to my work Erica, You have a pleasant day.'' She said she moved from her seat. "you will have many people to meet and i wish all the good luck. I will be in touch if i have further questions" to be truthful it was getting crowded and she didnt do well with closed in spaces.

Violet stood in front of the door, nose right in front of the plaque. She hesitated not because she was nervous. It was true that she had a new Department Head, but the others hadn't really lasted very long, had they? No, Violet wasn't nervous about having to answer to a new boss. She just didn't know what that boss would be like.

Should she knock and wait, or just enter? She decided to make a compromise. She was a Division Head, after all.

She rapped her knuckles loudly on the wood of the door, and then gently opened it a crack, trying not to make too much of a disturbance. Just in case.

She poked her head into the room. It was already somewhat full. All righty then.

"Hello," she said. "May I come in?"

Sophia had left her rather large box of "stuff" on her desk and figured since she was new to this Ministry and new to the department, she ought to meet her new boss. Hopefully the woman wouldn't be too young. She knew she would definitely have a problem with that, not that she would be rude about it or anything.

Everything about the place was just so different. The ministry in the Caribbean certainly had a more exotic feel to it, this one was just so, so rigid looking, but she suppose it would maybe suit her. She had often gotten a bit annoyed with how layed back the other ministry was.

She straightened her dark blue work robes and knocked on the door. Hopefully the woman was in.

There sure are a lot of people wanting to talk to the new Department head, or congratulaiton.

Emerald want to do it not because she wants her to like her, but she wants to do it because that's just the basic manners. She was taught well of manners when she was young. And she never forgets them.

Emmy knocked on the door three times. That's another rule her mother taught her and her sisters. Three. Not four, not five. Three.

She was so ashamed of herself when she didn't knock the door on the former department head. But now, she's not gonna make the same mistake again. She's going to do it right.

Well weren't the people on Level four just so polite? Now THAT she liked, that she liked a lot. The thirty one year old smiled back at the smile that had been directed towards her. "Thank you Carley" she looked around at the lack of chairs in her office. They seemed to have been all occupied by the people in her office. "Accio Chairs" Erica muttered and low and behold, a further few chairs appeared in front of her desk and the Blonde nodded her head at it, indicating for Carley to sit.

"You too" Erica smiled softly as the first visitor to her office decided it would be best to create a little space in her office. "I greatly look forward to working with you" she replied. "The door is always open" she replied at her comment about asking questions. And that went for everyone on her department. If ever they had a question they just come straight here and ask it.

Ohh.

There came ANOTHER knock, well that was a good job that one person had left the office, made a lot more space for any further visitors. Which as it seems, half the department wanted to come and meet her. So VERY polite.

"Of course you can" she Erica replied to the question directed at her. She was yet to meet any of the Division Heads, hopefully there was one somewhere.

Her head nodded over at the now empty chair right in front of her.

Just as expected, yet another visitor. Well at first this was not what she had expected. She had just thought of a quiet arrival, a few introductions made here and there and eventually everyone would realise but this she adored.

"Come in, the doors open" her voice rang out again to be heard through the door. "Just find an empty seat" there was a reflection of laughter within her tone.

Three more knocks?

Was this the last visitor or was there going to be more? Erica gave a smile at everyone in the office, picked up a few pieces of paper and quickly filed them before answering the last knock.

"Come straight in" she called out once more loud enough for anyone in the corridor to hear. What was the harm of one more visitor eh?

Violet smiled and slipped into the office. She looked behind her as she did, about to close the door, but saw that there were a few workers behind her, and left it ajar so that they could enter as well. She then took a deep breath, turned, and faced her new boss once more.

"Thank you," she said, sitting in the chair that had recently been vacated. She leaned forward ever so slightly so that the woman could see her face clearly.

"Miss Radley, I'm Violet Silvermoon, your Beast Division Head. It's a pleasure to meet you, and welcome to the department," she said in her warmest voice. Violet held out a hand for Miss Radley to shake.

Sophia soon realised that she wasn't the only one coming to meet the department head. Apparently the woman was new as well. She stepped in behind the woman who she assumed was another worker in the department and sat down. She figured she could kill two birds with one stone or something. Ok so that was probably not the best expression to use in this department.

She took a seat in and empty chair and smiled politely at her coworkers and her boss, then introduced herself after the Violet lady did.

"Sophia Bellaire I just transferred to this ministry from the CARICOM branch."

Katalin walked towards the office door, she was glad that she was going back to work after having her son and daugther. She knocked and waited for a answer.

Maybe she should go buy some more chairs for her office. She only technically owned two of these, the rest she had found on the level after using accio on them. Some that matched the decor in here would be pleasant.

She smiled as the new visitor sat down in one of the unnocupied chairs that she had directed her to and listened to what she had to say.

"Oh finally, one of my Division Heads. Pleasure" she smiled genuinely and then shook her hand back. "And just call me Erica, I'm so used to informal address being used I'd much prefer if you were to call me by my first name" she informed the Division Head.

"Thank you Violet" her lips upturned into a full smile as the woman welcomed her to Level 4. "So you are probably the best one to ask about life on this department then?" she asked,a light laugh leaving her mouth.

So many visitors, so little time. The woman smiled at the next person entering the room and watched her take a seat. Maybe the whole office needed some reorganizing, seeing as she had so many employees here.

"Very nice to meet you Sophia. I'm Erica Radley, your new Department Head, and Ive had far too many jobs to list right here right now without possibly making you want to leave" she laughed jokingly. "I'm new too, don't worry, we can get used to Level 4 together" she completed her introduction.

The thirty one year old put away any further paperwork that was cluttering up her desk space and filed it away safely, somewhere where she could actually remember where it was. Organisation was most definitely key in her establishments. So she hoped her employees lived up to her... standards.

But then came another knock at the door, her eyes darted quickly around teh office counting up the number of people that were present in there. One more person couldn't hurt surely. "Please come on in, but could you shut the door behind you?" she asked then used her wand to change her sign so that it read, office full. She couldn't squeeze one more soul in here until some people left.

Katalin opened the door and closed it behind her, she was shocked when she turned round and saw that the office was full.

Violet returned the smile. "I assume I'm the first one to visit you, then," she said. "I'm not sure where the other two are, but I'm certain that they will come and introduce themselves fairly soon." She nodded; most of her previous Heads had also told her to call them by their first names. She hadn't been sure with Erica. Everyone was different. "All right, Erica," she said. "And you can call me Violet."

She laughed. "Yes, I suppose. I've been working here for a long time, longer than most of the employees." She paused. "What would you like to know, exactly?" she asked.

In the distance, an animal noise is heard and then a few papers blow easily off a nearby desk. An owl has arrived, and in one of its talons is the following message:

Erica walked straight into her office after the meeting with all the Department Heads. She was meant to prepare for a security inspection? She had no idea whether there was an security on her office, she had only been here a very short while and well, she a wasn't ever informed of any. Which is why she chose to perform some herself. It was better to be safe then sorry right?

The blonde, firstly tidied the very slight mess she had made on the desk before she left, organising her paper work alphabetically and then placing it in the filing cabinet, which she then looked, the Muggle way and the Wizard way. The key went in her bag, in a secret compartment down the bottom and then she placed a password on the cabinet which only she would know. She didn't want her, or her employees information being spread out now did she?

The second thing to do would be to protect the office from any invaders.. She used a series of charms to seal her office so that only she could enter, or others with her permission could. This also went for listening in. The room was now protected so that only the people within it could hear her conversations.

There. That was plenty enough wasn't it?

Drago came by the door, knocking on it lazily and waiting for a response. In truth, he'd worked efficiently on anything that needed his immediate concern and promptly made his way to Radley's office, but that didn't mean he couldn't give the appearance of having taken his dear sweet time. In truth, inefficiency bored him, so if he'd taken too long to get here, he probably would have lost himself in one of his game devices and completely forgotten.
