You'll find some others to sit with. Sitting alone isn't all so bad, She thought to herself. She nodded and replied to Arya, the Perfect. "Okay! I hope you have a great ride...and I'll certainly come to find you at the badger table!" She smiled softly to Arya and Perseus.
A great ride.

Peaceful.
"I'll see you at the feast, then." She wiggled her fingers at the girl as she headed towards the very front of the train to board. "Have a good ride, Amethyst." Knowing that the girl could find her easily if she need assistance, she strolled off.

"I am not sure I can just pick one," she said as she clapped her hands together and held them against her lips. "I find each and every creature unique and fascinating." Her eyes were ablaze now with excitement. "I adore dragons - any breed of them really - but I think my personal favorite would probably be the Antipodean Opaleye." She really needed to get to Australia or New Zealand to see them in their natural habitat. "But, I also like griffins and phoenixes." Did he want her to go on? Hopefully he didn't mind her rambling, because she was going to keep going anyway. "I also like harbor seals and dolphins. I used to spend hours watching them swim when I would visit the zoo back home. I used to think I could talk with dolphins. At least, I would imitate the noises they made and they would respond." She paused for a moment. "Hummingbirds as well. It just amazes me at how something so small could be so fast. They are the only birds that are capable of flying backwards as well."
Gideon had no clue what his casual question meant to his fellow Gryffindor, if he had he might have worded the question a bit differently perhaps to make it easier on her. He loosely crossed his arms as he listened with amusement to Kurumi answer his question...going downright giddy as she spoke about dragons among the other fantastic creatures she listed. She's probably go crazy if she knew where Andy worked! "They're all pretty cool, I must agree," he replied in agreement, noting the diverse grouping of animals she mentioned. Phoenixs and griffins topped his list as well.
"Actually saw a few dragons meself this summer when I visited me brother," Gideon remarked absently remembering the visit as he spoke. " Andy works with dragons at the Romanian preserves there," he added dropping the bomb and watching and wondering how she was going to react.
Jesifur continued to run and almost forgot to stop! She had gone thru the barrier, on her own. Now all she had to do was find a seat. Her mind was whirling and she almost bumped into several people as she made her way over to the train. She mumbled apologies and climbed the steps into the first cars she saw. As she made her way toward the back of the train she kept her eyes out for an open compartment. She had not had any time in Diagon Alley to socialize and was looking forward to doing so. She found an empty car three quarters of the way down and went in. She shoved her trunk on the storage rack and collapsed on the seat.
It had seemed such a whirlwind, the last two weeks. She had turned eleven in late august and had just made the age cut off to get into the school. Thank goodness she hadn't been born in late September, she didn't think she'd be able to wait another whole year. Between her birthday, the Diagon Alley shopping spree, and packing she hadn't slept a wink in weeks it seemed.
Soon, Adanna arrived at her destination. Her sister had taked her owl, Athena, out of her cage and began storking her to smooth out her feathers.
Adanna studied the train and the people surrounding it. The closer she got to starting her first year, the more her stomach flipped and twisted.
She straightened up her jacket and fluffed her dress, making sure not even a single thread was out of place.
She leaned over to pet her young cat, who was still atop her trunks on her cart. She scratched his ear, and he purred with bliss.
Adanna studied the crowd a bit more, trying to recognize faces that she'd see every day this school year, wondering which she'd grow close to, if any.
Kurumi studied Selina, knowing very well that pushing the issue and telling her friend that she really didn't and SHOULDN'T try to play innocent when it came to this.
Kurumi wasn't hurt that Selina had kept this from her - Kurumi still harbored some secrets herself - but what hurt her was Selina trying to hide it when the forth year had already made it known that she had seen it.
"I saw you right as I was finishing and leaving the room," she said softly. "I-I thought that I should stay and make sure you were alright but...it seemed more like something you needed to handle on your own." Kurumi paused for a moment and looked down at the ground. "I am not going to force the issue, but...you have always listened to me when I was having all sorts of internal conflict. It is about time that I returned the favor."
Selina watched Kurumi with empty eyes and listened to her speak. She could feel all of the grief of Danielle hitting her like a wave, the way it usually did when she was thinking about her sister. Ignoring the fact that she died had worked for Selina for ten years and that was how she dealt with Danielle's death. Perhaps it was not the most healthy way to deal with grief, but it was at least a method to deal with it.
Now, however, with Kurumi looking in her eyes with a comforting glance Selina could feel her cool crumbling. She wanted to run away and just cry in a corner. But she did not deserve to cry, she was the reason that Danielle was dead. It was all her fault so she should not be allowed to feel, to cry.
Selina's eyes traveled to the left of Kurumi's face and she stared off in the distance, "Kurumi, have you ever felt like you were lost? Like you couldn't breathe and get out from the place you were trapped. Yet you knew that if you tried to be better it would be disgraceful because you don't deserve happiness?" Selina let out a hollow laugh, "No, I don't suppose you would understand. You didn't do horrible things did you?"

Then it happened. The bomb dropped. What was with people on the platform somehow bringing up Danny, even if they were doing so inadvertently. It was causing her a lot of stress and not the kind that she was capable of dealing with. Her heart was leaping out of her chest and she was sure her face was white. "It's defiantly different living with two other kids around my age. But I like James and all so it hasn't been so bad." That did not come out awful. As long as she avoided the sibling thing she would not have to lie... because she was a ruddy liar.
Violet then said,"Alright then you will! Just wait! I'll prove it to you Selina Skylar!" Although deep down Violet secretly knew that she wasn't going to be able to resist that when the time came around. But Violet did know that she would definitely give it a shot. When Selina answered Violet's question she noticed that Selina's face had gone pale and could tell there was something else. But Violet knew better than to try and bombard Selina with 'What's wrong Sely? Do you want to talk about it? I can see it all over your face..' because she knew better than to do that with Selina. Violet then immediately had a flashback of Selina flipping out on Violet in the Girl's Lavatory last term at Hogwarts. Scared Violet completely and she did not expect it at all, which was why Violet almost ended up crying.

Selina wondered what Violet would do if she ran away. She felt so naked under the Veela's glance. Everyone was trying to pick at her brain today, but they would not dare ask her for fear of how she would react. Maybe that was a smart, avoiding Selina's feelings. Well at least Selina thought so, but then again she was damaged goods. Her eyes traveled all around the room until she settled on a clock that keep ticking away. Time never went backward, only forward. It was as if time was just some sort of game created to drive mortals mad. Because once a moment was lost, it was gone for ever... as were the ones that we loved.
"Sure, sure Violet. I'll be waiting to see if, um, you actually go through with it."

The silence was deafening - which was ridiculous because how could silence do such a thing?
When Selina finally DID speak, Kurumi didn't have any time to process what was being said before Selina seemed to try an hush her. Selina ought to know that she had felt lost. Until going to Hogwarts, Kurumi had no where that she felt she could call home. No where she felt like she belong. Her classmates certainly made sure that she didn't feel welcome or part of the group. Always stealing her shoes, putting mud in her lunch, throwing stones...the list went on and on. On top of it all, she had a mother who wouldn't even look at her and insisted that she remain indoors so that no one would be able to see her.
Even now, based on what had happened last term, Kurumi didn't feel like she deserved happiness since it always seemed to elude her.
Yes, Kurumi knew that their feelings were based on different life experiences, but Kurumi did know how it felt.
Then, something Selina said caught her attention.
You didn't do horrible things did you?
That implied that Selina HAD done terrible things. Kurumi found herself unable to blink as she watched Selina. How was she supposed to respond to THAT?
"Selina," she said softly. "Just because you feel like you are alone, doesn't mean that you are." She put a hand on her friend's shoulder, as if letting her know that she, Kurumi Hollingberry, was always going to be right there.

Kurumi's jaw quite literally dropped to the floor. Could she hug him? Would that be too forward? Would pleading asking for a tour of the preserves be too much? Had he ever seen a dragon? Wait, he already said that he had seen one. Had he ever TOUCHED a dragon? Did he know that dragons like s'mores?
Kurumi's brain was moving at the speed of a golden snitch - Merlin, she had just used another Quidditch analogy.
"DIDYOUREALLYSEEADRAGON?!" she exclaimed, nearly dropping the wicker basket that held Walnut. "What breed? Was it as amazing in person as I imagine? Erm, well, as amazing as you imagined? Did you make s'mores?"

Selina felt a burning start to erupt in her throat. Everything was growing hotter by the moment. Her forehead, her face, her throat. Then she could almost feel the tears teasing at forming in her eyes. She tried to choke back all of the building emotion, but it was too late. Things were happening now that she could not control, namely tears. One single, salty tear started to drip down Selina's freckled face. With the palm of her hand she wiped away the tear that was threatening to bring an army of tears behind it. If she could just pretend, just pretend a little longer she would be okay. However, with one look at Kurumi's face she knew that all of the pretending was done with. Even if she wanted to go on pretending that she was a good person she knew that she wasn't. She was an awful person who deserved every and any unpleasant fate that was dished to her in her life.
Then her tears passed the flood gates. They started to fall a little more freely and Selina grabbed Kurumi's forearm and pulled her out of ear reach of everyone on the Platform. Once they were out of ear reach and sight of everyone on the platform Selina fell to her knees.
With a whimper she said, You don't understand. You couldn't. My boggart was Danielle... my little sister... that I killed."

"I met another girl named Ellie Stone, Amy Samson, Louisa Carter, and a boy named Paulie." Maybe if he just added it into a bunch Ellie wouldn't notice all that much...after all it could lead to an awkward conversation.
And then she mentioned Dallin...this was definitely that Ellie. Adam gave the girl a little smile. "I've traveled all over the place, but I did live in Florida for a while...Miami specifically."
Ellie listened to his list of names of people he had met so far. Ellie Stone: She'd heard she was nice, but Ellie really only had seen her in the Quidditch pitch. She seemed rather intimidating so Ellie always kept her distance. Amy Samson: Never met her, but Ellie assumed she was nice. Hufflepuffs were usually nice. Lousia Car- "Lousia?" Ellie spat out suddenly. It wasn't like a tone of disgust, it was more surprised, though she didn't know why. Ellie briefly wondered how close her and Adam were. She had overheard Louisa talking to a boy about her "love life" problems and how Ellie "stole" Dallin, but she didn't pay attention to who the boy was. Then again it could have been more than one person... That girl was crazy, after all.
Miami? Small world, that's where Dallin was from. But Ellie didn't say that. It might have been weird, just spitting out random facts about her boyfriend to this guy. "So how come you and your family travels so much?"
Just behind him Damon heard another person come behind and with a shock Damon realized it was his Uncle Darien, how he managed to get through he didn't know but than he seemed to remember that Darien once worked for the ministry himself.. Damon started conversing with his Uncle and continuing to look at the students around him... and he also began to wonder how Darien had got here so quick, perhaps he had apparated.
The Hogwarts Express platform stretching from as far as the first year could see at her vertically challenged height, parents stood with their children fastening their cloaks a little tighter as though to busy themselves or counting the items aboard their children’s carts in the most meticulous manner as though daring a quill to be misplaced. But Anna today has been one. Her parents thought that she was old enough to go to school on their own. They are very much loved her, but they both had one negative feature - her parents loved to travel. They often took Anna with themselves, as well as in the summer of this year. But the time has come to return to Hogwarts... And she was very glad of that. Every year Ann had waited for this day!
Kita smiled at Daphne, trying her hardest not to squeal. Was she a fellow chocoholic? WAS THIS A TIME TO REJOICE AND DANCE MERRILY?!
Ahem!
And she just said that chocolate is a cure for everything! "Wise words, Daphne, wise words," she said, trying to look at serious as possible. Maybe THAT should be her motto...
New?! "The French school?" she asked, "Merlin! How come you left?" Beauxbatons... what did it even STAND for? But then again, what did Hogwarts stand for? ... Something for someone to figure out. Her luggage? Kita looked down at the fallen trunk and Alaska, her owl, who was currently glaring at her. Boy, was she in trouble with her pet! "Yes, you're right," she said, bending down to steady her trunk onto her trolley.
"Er, are you looking forward to Hogwarts? This being your first year there and all," she said, making sure the cage of her owl was firmly shut.
Daphne could feel her cheeks grow warm. "Um. I'm a little bit of a chocoholic."
"Yep. The French school." Daphne said, proudly. Why did she leave? Um. "Yeah, well..my dad got offered a better job out here so yeah, we moved.." She still felt a little sad about the fact she had to move. She could have stayed in France alone. She was sixteen, after all! But, her dad was totally against it. She sighed and shook her head. Um..anyway..before she could help, Kita had already picked up her luggage. She looked amazed when she saw Kita's pet. "Oh, wow. You have an owl."
"Oh, yeah..but I'm definitely looking forward to Hogwarts. I hope I have a great time.." Daphne smiled nervously.
Scott said goodbye to his mother and father and said to his younger brother "Don't worry, you'll be here soon" and walked awkwardly onto the train, excited that he was nearly there.
Once on the train, he waited to see if Evangeline would be in the same carriage as him.

Maybe she looked like a fool doing so. I guess I'll board the train...She gulped as she thought of doing this, until her feet began to move without her thinking she did.

Jamey looked around in wonder. Who knew this place was here? Why couldn't you see it from the other side? She took a deep breath, and came to the realization that she'd just run though a brick wall. Not normal. Staring at the gleaming Hogwarts Express, she pushed her trolley toward it, with her two brand new trunks. Her parents had bought them just last week. A huge luxury. Jamey hardly ever got anything this expensive new. She had expected to use the trunks she'd used for vacations all of her life. But now she had beautiful shiny leather. That had to count for brithdays and Christmas for the next year. She reached into her pocket and pulled out her bounty bar, resisting the urge to open it. She would eat it on the train. Her parents weren't here, she'd hugged them goodbye outside of the platform. So Jamey was alone. She scrunched her shoulders closer to her, so as not to bump anybody else, and she stood there, wondering if she was supposed to do something special, or get on the train and sit, or if it was now that she was supposed to meet people? Jameyson never could just talk to a person. She was so shy. She couldn't even ask a salesperson for help, not unless they approached her first. Please she prayed silently. Just before she stepped foot onto the train, Onyx, her Black owl, flapped her wings and hooted wildly looking in the direction of a girl. She looked shy and worried, unaware of what to do. The short girl walked over to the shy girl. She smiled, approaching her. Onyx took flight, and landed on the girl's shoulder. "Oh Onyx, leave her be. I'm sorry. She won't bite! She's friendly." Her black hair fell into her face as she giggled softly. She lifted her hand for her to shake. "I'm Amethyst. Amethyst Geleto, but you can call me Ame!" She was happy to help this girl. Maybe she was a first year, just like her.

Alyssa looked around hoping to see a familiar face. Then she saw the girl, Nessie, whom she had met at the Carnival in Diagon Alley. She waved and ran up to her. "Hi Nessie, it's so great to see you here. As you can see I managed to cross over from Platform 9 3/4's without any problem at all. Thank you so much for telling me all about it. So this was it. Her last chance to go through the wall between platforms 9 and 10 as a Hogwarts student. That's why she was going to go through the wall the same way she had gone through when she was about to board the train for the first time all those years ago.
Kita looked at the wall and took a deep breath. "EEEEEEEEEEEE!" she squealed as she closed her eyes and broke into a run, pushing her trolley as she went. She ran and ran and ran until...

CRASH!
"AARRGGGHHH!"
A crash, a scream and thump later, and the seventeen year old was lying flat on her back next to her trolley which was lying on its side. What in the name of Merlin had just happened?! Opening her eyes, Kita sat up and whipped out her wand. A small frown grew on her face as she looked around her. Her eyes landed on... a girl? "Are you ok?" she asked, trying to forget about the thump she could feel growing on the back of her head. Please, Merlin, let the girl be ok!
... And that is why you don't run through the barrier with your eyes closed. Just... no.
As Alyssa was talking to Nessie she noticed an older student had come flying through the wall and run right into another Hufflepuff student. "Oh no, looks like someone got hurt". She ran over to see whether everyone was okay.

She slide open the door eager to get a compartment with friends she could have made at Hogwarts. She saw two girls in there and decided to be with them.
"Oh! Would you mind if I join you here?" she asked looking a little embarassed to interrupt the deep conversation the two seem to have.
Faina smiled sheepishly "Actually," Faina paused, "I actually have to go to a different compartment with my friend Jordan," Faina apologized to all of the girls with her. "But you are all welcome to join!" Faina turned to the newcomer and added "Oh, I'm Faina by the way. First year. Slytherin." And with that she was headed to find Jordan.

By the time Alyssa ran over to help, she noticed that both girls looked alright and in fact, they were having an interesting conversation about one of them being from Beaubatons. She would have loved to join in that conversation especially since she was also a transfer. But she didn't want to interrupt them as they seemed to already know each other and didn't want to be considered nosey or pushy, so she turned and decided to discreetly walk away hoping that nobody had seen her run up to help.
Did you just lose something? The GAME? Sorry... 'Justin Bieber, he is the man!' U mad, Felton!?

Rose skipped along the Platform singing;
'I'm walking on unshine, woah
I'm walking on sunshine, woah
I'm walking on sunshine, woah
And don't it feel good, hey!' Rose sang loudly as she skipped suddenly she bashed into a wall and fell back and landed at someones feet. 'Ow. Oh, Godric, I'm so sorry...' Rose apologised as she put her hand up to her nose. 'Godric, I'm bleeding...' Rose muttered as she took a tissue out of her pourse and held it to her nose..
I can't believe we're finally here. This place is amazing."
"Alyssa!" said Ness as she saw her friend. Ness was carrying her pygmy puff on her shoulder. The rest of her luggage was now with her dad. She looked at her family and decided she wanted to sneak away, just for a little while. Slowly she took a few steps backwards and hoped Alyssa would follow. She would be back to say goodbye to them all later. "How you been?" she asked "You ready for Hogwarts.?" She was sure Alyssa was nervous, but who wouldn't be.
She remembered when she had arrived at King Cross for the first time. It was exciting, but very nervracking and the whole way she thought of which house she was going to be sorted in. Luckily she was sorted into the best house ever which was of course non other then Hufflepuff. Nessie looked at her sister and family again. Her sister was having the biggest freak out of her life and Nessie's parents were now busy giving her pep talks trying to calm her sister, Juliet down.

Out of nowhere Ness saw someone familiar pop out of the wall and land into two other peopel, that seemed to be on the floor already. Ness walked over to get a better look. She saw Kita, Rose and another girl that she hadn't met yet. "Are you guys okay?" asked Ness worried as she stretched out a hand so she could help them get up.
She noticed Rose's nose was bleeding. "Rose did you need more tissues?" Just incase she needed more, Ness did have and she didn't want Rose to run out of her own.

"Hi there, Nessie. It's so good to see you. I see you have your Pygmy puff with you. I've been doing great. As you can I'm a little more calm now I'm definitely ready for Hogwarts. I can't wait. I guess for me it'll be like as if I was a 1st year since I need to get sorted and everything. What house are you in?" Alyssa asked. She hoped secretly that she would be sorted into the same house as Nessie because she was nice.
Right then she heard a familiar song being sung:

Alyssa turned around to see someone lying at her feet WITH HER NOSE BLEEDING!! She quickly knelt down to help her. "Hi my name is Alyssa. I know that it's a dumb question to ask, seeing that you have a bleeding nose, but are you all right?" She was trying to sound concerned and not laugh at the same time because she had a feeling that it was the same girl who was singing that was now lying on her back with her nose bleeding. She must have been skipping along and slammed into the wall. "That is so something I would do", Alyssa thought to herself.

She still felt a little sad about the fact she had to move.
Kita blinked. Whhaaaaat?!
...Was she allowed to squeal yet?
"I'm a chocoholic too! Oh my days!" she gasped before throwing her arms around the girl and giving her a hug. This was DEFINITELY something to celebrate, right?
Oh! New job. Moved. Sounds about right. Still, it must be sad to have to leave all your friends and move to a new country. "Hogwarts will be a lot of fun, i promise," she said, smiling at the girl, "And you'll make a lot of friends. Just... watch out for some of the professors," Lafay "and you'll be fine." ... Ok, was that really the message to give to someone who's going to start Hogwarts for the first time. Her owl? Kita looked down at Alaska and frowned slightly. "She has more hormones than half the girls at Hogwarts, though," she said, before looking up at Daphne and smiling, "Do you have a pet?" And more importantly, were they allowed those at the French school?
Hopes she has a great time? Kita smirked slightly. "Oh, you'll have a blast! And the food is just..." she sighed dreamily. Shaking her head, she turned her attention back to the girl. "What year are you going to be in?" 'Cause the girl didn't look like she was an ickle firstie.

Blliiiinnnnnkkkk!
She bumps into one person and someone else comes to help her up? Boy she could get used to this!
Kita looked at the younger girl and smiled. Wait... Why was she walking away? Did Kita have something on her face? Please, Merlin, NO!
Bringing out the extrovert in her, the brunette approached the young girl. Wait... What in the name of merlin was she meant to SAY?! Yeah... she should have thought about that before randomly approaching the girl. "Hi!" she said, the smile still plastered on her face.
... That was good enough, right?

Alyssa looked up to see the older girl whom she had intended on helping earlier talking to her. "Hi, I'm Alyssa. I noticed that you had a little bump there with your friend and I was going to help but then I noticed that the both of you were okay, so I didn't want to bother you," she smiled up. She pulled Nessie over. "This is Nessie, my friend and this is.....", looking down at the girl still lying on her back", "Uh....I'm sorry I don't know your name, but it looks like your nose has stopped bleeding now. Would you like to sit up?" She and Nessie helped the girl sit up. "Godric, if people didn't know me, they would think that I'm always running around looking for people who are hurt", she thought to herself quietly. She hoped that no one noticed that.
"So are you all from the same house? I noticed that you're all wearing yellow scarfs", she asked the other older students who were standing over her.
