Faina looked around, hoping to spot a fellow Slytherin or catch a snippet of conversation about Slytherins. She was dead bored, no one to talk to. Her stuff was already on the train and now she was just sitting idly.

João shrugged, determined to fix it on the train by himself. He rarely got help, and this was something he was very well capable of fixing. He didn't need any professor's help.

"I'll do it myself on the train," he announced, just so she didn't bother to find someone to 'help' him. He was used to taking care of his needs on his own; he didn't need someone to do this now. Listening to their exchange, João frowned for a moment. Ephiski? Must be the English version of Curar. No, he was going to use the spell he knew, thank you. Thus, on a subject he didn't know, he remained silent, trying not to think about his arm. When would they be allowed on the train?!

Cocking his head to one side as she explained where each of her parents were, he felt a sudden sense of sympathy for the girl, since she had to be alone on her first ever trip to her school. That made him remember his first school in Brazil too. The driver of his mother had dropped him off at the school. Though, he shook the feeling off immediately. His condition and hers were completely different. Not to mention he normally didn't feel sympathy. He didn't know what to do with it.

With the stress on Ravenclaw, he examined her for a moment. "Do you want to be one too?" Shame. She was a pureblood, obviously, and she seemed clever--a really decent girl. He would have liked to see her in Slytherin.

Ellie shrugged a little bit. Apparently, it was kind of both their fault but neither of them would let the other person take the blame for it. "Fair enough." She said with a little laugh. It was sort of a useless thing to argue about. Plus, no harm done, no injuries, no broken hearts. All was well on Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.

Laughing a little bit, she nodded at his question. "Apparently so. But at least we don't hate each other for it, so I think we're good." Ellie said a little teasingly. Besides, it was easy to run into people here, it was so packed with students and parents.

Ellie looked at the boy, and then followed his gaze as a group of students traveled through the wall. And then she looked back at the boy. At first she thought he was being sarcastic about the wall being so fascinating, and then it dawned on her. As soon as she was about to say something, he introduced himself as Adam. Ellie flashed him a white smile and shook his friendly hand. "I'm Ellie. It's nice to meet you." She said. And it was, he seemed like a really nice guy. "You must be new then, I'm assuming?" Because now that she thought about it, he didn't look all that familiar.

"It's Arya," She managed to keep her small half-smile as she made her way through the barrier with her luggage and Perseus still settled on top of it all, kneazle eyes still fixed on her though they wandered occasionally. "Arya Lovegoods. I'm actually one of the school's prefects." Not that she would be able to tell, her badge shoved deep in her jean pockets.

"Yeah, I think.... I think I'm ready," Tori quietly told Annie, nodding as she stepped back from her cousin. "Thanks again for coming with me and helping me get my school stuff all ready."

She looked up at her cousin with a nervous smile.

Annie was feeling just a little pang of sympathy for her cousin. Aww. Now she was being so sweet.

"Don't worry about classes, you'll do great, we Bunburys always do. Make lots of smart friends though, that's what I did." She winked and patted Tori on the head. "Now go get 'em, Tiger. Owl me when you get Sorted!"

She gave her cousin one last squeeze on the shoulder and waited to see her safely board the train. Once Tori was on the Hogwarts Express, Annie waved bye and then apparated out of there.

It was about time the school year started!

Adam gave a little bit of a chuckle. "There are definitely worst traits that someone could have than apologizing too much." He was just glad that after the whole incident both of them were still in one piece. After all that whole incident had disaster written all over it, and he was still amazed that both of them had walked away come bruise and broken bones free. That was quite an accomplishment.

"It's nice to meet you as well," Adam said with a little smile, but a lightbulb in his head went off. Hmm...was this "the" Ellie that was dating Louisa's Dallin? Well...maybe it was too premature to jump to that conclusion since he had met another Ellie that went to Hogwarts already, so obviously there was more than one person with that name. He gave a little nod as Ellie observed that he was new. "I'm going into my fifth year, but it's my first year at Hogwarts," Adam said with a little smile. Perhaps by telling Ellie for sure that he was new she wouldn't think he had been making a joke about the wall, because the thing really was fascinating to him. "You seem like you're pretty familiar with all of this," Adam said with a little wave of the hand to imply how the whole platform worked. "I take it you've been going to Hogwarts for a while?"

Amethyst blushed deeply, having not known that the girl could hear her. "N-Nice to meet you...Arya.." She smiled softly back to her. "I-I'm Amethyst..." The owl hooted and looked to Arya. "And this is Onyx.." Onyx was a Black Owl, who was very affectionate. Whenever Ame's hair feel into her face, Onyx was there to move it out of the way. Amethyst was happy she'd gotten to meet a Perfect. "House Perfect...cool!"

"Why don't we get your trunk onto the train, and then discuss you getting off on your own again?," Talia said with a bit of a grin, letting her little sister wait a bit before responding. It was too hard not to needle her the slightest bit, and besides, she'd let Stella go off to Diagon Alley on her own already. Which she knew she was going to hear about next time an owl came from France, but she figured she'd claim studying as her excuse. Besides, she knew the fifteen-year-old was responsible, probably more than she was at that age but then, she'd definitely been off on her own then. Going to school here in England while everyone else was in France. At least now Stella could experience a little of what she had, especially coming off of the few minor events from last term in France.

Stella had gone back to watching everyone milling around the platform, greeting each other, saying goodbyes, and everything else while she'd waited to see if her sister was going to do more than nonverbal communication this trip. She'd been hoping to see certain people, but so far no luck and she'd turned back to Talia as she felt Lyra nudge her hand with her little kitty head. "Bien, quel que soit", she murmured, momentarily slipping back into French before sending a grin to the slightly taller sibling. This was why she'd much rather be here than back at home, even though she had a feeling she was going to get a ton of owls from Risa one of these days. The fact her sister was so cool.

But before she could say anything more, or help boost the trunk (and Lyra) onto the train, she felt something lightly hit her foot and glanced down to see a soccer ball innocently lying there. That was odd, until she heard the sound of another trolley coming toward herand she leaned over to pick up the ball before turning to investigate. Hmm, pretty, she thought idly before smiling a little at the kitty in a basket on the other girl's trunk and turning the smile to the owner. "Hello," she said, holding out the ball. "Did you drop this? It could have been bad if it had gotten under the train." Like, crashing it or something, which woul definitely not be an awesome way to start her first term at Hogwarts.

Kimalia turned to wave bye to her parents who afterward walked back out of the platform back home. Kimalia smiled sadly, though it's not the first time she left for Hogwarts, it was her first time her parents saw her off instead of her brother. Already starting to feel a tear coming on she smiled once again thinking happy thoughts of the adventure coming that did wonders in combating sadness.

Kimalia then realized that she had plenty of time before she needed to board the train. She then saw a shorter girl, who looked a mixture of bored and being anxious.. Maybe she was waiting for a friend? But where were her parents?

"Hi there," Kimalia smiled kindly at her. "You waiting on someone?" If she was waiting for a friend, she definitely shouldn't be alone. Almost forgetting introductions, she held her hand out. "I'm Kimalia."

This is just great. Nessie watched as Amy and her dad had their little conversation. She was blushing even more now, her cheeks as red as her ranga hair. She tried to signal for her dad to stop, but he wasn't getting it. At least Amy didn't mind. Amy was great and she was doing a great job keeping her dad company. She looked at her watch, they still had about twenty minutes before they had to board the train.

Nathan smiled back at the girl. He was glad Renesmee had made plenty of friends. He never had to worry with her, she was always friendly. A true Hufflepuff just like himself. "Nice to meet you Amy" he said as he shook her hand. He then turned back to Ness. He wanted her to stay close. It was after all the last he'd get to be with her till next year, but she wanted to be with her friend. "Okay, just come back in about ten minutes." He still wanted to say goodbye to her.

"Thanks dad." She then continued to walk with Amy and came to a stop when she felt she was far enough from her parents. "I wish he could just leave me alone sometimes." She said looking at her family from where she and amy were standing. She felt bad for her sister, she had to be all alone with her parents now. Her sister must have been embarrassed."Anyway, so you excited to go back?" She smiled as she asked Amy.

"You know how to do the heal spell?" She said, impressed by his advanced knowledge, "Can you do it to your own arm?" She hadn't heard of someone healing his own. Whether he liked it or not, Louisa was going to seek help.. even if she had to do it secretly. The girl wasn't going to hold something on her consciounse in case the spell went terribly. Besides, the younger girl should know that seeking help from elders is the way.

Louisa nodded and smiled when the child talked about her family, "You're a big girl now, then, and you can go to Hogwarts on your own." Giving the girl a nice push in her first hour alone in life, probably. Louisa thought it was bad of her parents to just leave before seeing her getting into the Express but again, Louisa herself had come to this station with a stranger the first time and her mother didn't bother get into this wizarding world. Not even for her own daughter.

When Ravenclaw was brought up, Louisa's chest instinctively rose up a bit in pride. "I am a Ravenclaw. It's great that your father is one, too. Do you think you're going to end up there, as well?" Because that'd be great and the fourteen years old could play bigger sister to someone inside Hogwarts! She might never get the chance anymore. But Joao's face showed some... what was that? Louisa's eyebrows shot up as she looked at him, "What?" Did he just make a face regarding her house name? Really? Despite the fact that she'd held his hand a few minutes ago, she would never let a gesture like this go unnoticed. No way.

The topic of what house to go into, was one that Eris had considered very briefly, and in various spurts throughout the summer. By her emphasis on Ravenclaw was by basic habit, her father was very animated in his rather long talks of the castle where he received his wizarding education. Excitement filled his kind eyes with every word, which in proper turn, got Eris more excited than words could speak; knowing those memories would be her’s one day as well.

There was a flaw to this of course, succeeding in making his young daughter elated about going to school, Saffron failed to truly mention the other houses; in his mind, letting that part of school be a blank canvas she could discover on her own, giving Eris her own opinions that wouldn’t really be imposed on by him.

Eris shuffled her feet under her in thought for a moment, her hands clasped behind her back. “I’m not really sure...” she began slowly and considerably. Though it made her much more comfortable to know that this other girl seemed to be a Ravenclaw. The small witch’s hand reached up to run a few fingers through the dark hair on the back of her head bashfully, “I was never really told about the other houses...” she grinned quite happily, but on some level began to realize a flaw in this, “though my dad told me the hat knows everything, and will sort me where I am meant.” she continued dropping her hand back down to her side comfortably.

“As for my mum, she went to a foreign school....” She added to clarify why her mother hadn’t helped in preparing her for the school year. Her mother had attended some school in Romania perhaps? Maybe home-schooled? Her mother never actually kept her story straight whenever Eris brought it up. She was a brilliant witch, it was true, but sometimes Eris felt her strong-headed mother didn’t even realize the words that projected confidently out of her mouth at times. Some more pressing matter behind her eyes capturing Isadora’s actual attention.

“What house are....” Eris gave a half frown before she said ‘you’, realizing she had never properly introduced herself or even asked for their names. “I’m Eris by the way...” she introduced herself to them both with a toothy grin, a bit of pink embarrassment brushed across her cheeks, as though trying to make up for lack of earlier action.

Daphne ran through the barrier before she stood on the other side of the platform. She pushed the trolley a little more and looked at the trian. WOW. It looked simply maginificent. She stared at it for a minute longer before she turned to find her parents standing behind her. "Mum. Dad. You guys could just leave, you know?" She gave a nervous look around before she turned to face her parents again.

"Daph! Would you please stop?" Elizabeth rolled her eyes with an amused look on her face. "I'm sure we aren't the only parents who have accompanied their child to the station." She kissed her daughter on the forehead and hugged her. "Take care, child. I'm sure you'll do great. We are extremely proud of you and we love you."

Charles grinned at his daughter. "Yeah, whatever she said." He nodded his head toward his wife.

"Charles!"

"Sorry, sorry." Charles smiled at his daughter. "Be safe, kid. Love you." Yeah, he wasn't much for words but he was going to really miss his Daph.

Daphne looked at her parents and grinned. "It's going to be great so don't worry about me." She gave them both a hug. "Ah, I'm really going to miss you guys."

Daphne watched her parents walk away before she turned around. She took a deep breath and started pushing her trolley forward. Gosh, she really hoped she would get to meet someone rather than just look awkward on her own.

With a swift push through the barrier between the platforms of 9 and 10, Gideon made his way onto the platform, his cart carrying his belongings in front of him. Another year was coming up and it was already starting to fill up with students of all ages and their families. He himself had a mother trailing around but she was nice enough to keep her distance. Nothing made things more ackward then a teenager being followed around by a curly-haired astromer like Celeste Gert who paid attention to things like her great aunt the former headmistress.

Pushing the cart in front of him,Gideon debated where to go. The fourth year wandering a bit through the crowds and finding himself near the front of the train. He paused in place, careful not to be blocking anyone, and he looked around to see any familiar faces though he knew his chances were few seeing as he had kept pretty close at hand the last few years at school.

Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breath out.

So this was it. Her last chance to go through the wall between platforms 9 and 10 as a Hogwarts student. That's why she was going to go through the wall the same way she had gone through when she was about to board the train for the first time all those years ago.

Kita looked at the wall and took a deep breath. "EEEEEEEEEEEE!" she squealed as she closed her eyes and broke into a run, pushing her trolley as she went. She ran and ran and ran until...

CRASH!

"AARRGGGHHH!"

A crash, a scream and thump later, and the seventeen year old was lying flat on her back next to her trolley which was lying on its side. What in the name of Merlin had just happened?! Opening her eyes, Kita sat up and whipped out her wand. A small frown grew on her face as she looked around her. Her eyes landed on... a girl? "Are you ok?" she asked, trying to forget about the thump she could feel growing on the back of her head. Please, Merlin, let the girl be ok!

... And that is why you don't run through the barrier with your eyes closed. Just... no.

Having now finally loaded her trunks onto the train, Kurumi had decided to make one more sweep around the platform before she had to board the train and summer officially ended. Perhaps, in her own naive way, this last minute walk was her way of avoiding her prefecting duties. It didn't seem real until she had stepped foot inside the prefect compartment sort of mentality.

But, she knew that was silly of her to think and even Walnut seemed to be mocking her as he rubbed up against her leg.

"Enjoy the fresh air while you can," she smiled.

Suddenly, Walnut took off down the platform and stopped in front of a boy Kurumi didn't recognized and began meowing - causing quite a scene.

Fantastic, some prefect she was if she couldn't even keep an eye on her own cat.

"Walnut," she scolded as she knelt down to pick the feline up. "I-I-I'm sorry. I-I-I hope he wasn't bothering you," Kurumi said apologetically, bowing every now and again.

His gaze elsewhere, Gideon turned his attention when he heard a cat's meow. He looked down to spot a feline that looked somewhat familiar having seen it around the common room for certain. "Welcome litta fella," he greeted, looking up as he heard running footsteps coming towards him. Obviously the owner, a girl his own age he also remembered seeing around school though he couldn't remember ever really talking with her.

"Tis a'right," Gideon answered assuring the girl it was fine, his accent showing through. he watched as she bowed towards him feeling somewhat sheepish. "I'm fine," he added hoping she didn't feel bad about the feline's attention. "Thou it seems ye cat might have been a wee bit curious," he mused with a smile.

Walnut squirmed around in Kurumi's arms a bit, clearly not pleased about being held like a human baby. Kurumi tightened her grip in response. It was one thing for him to wander around freely, but with it being so close to the train's departure time, Kurumi really didn't want o risk leaving him behind. Once Walnut had calmed down a bit, Kurumi looked at the curly haired boy before her and smiled shyly.

"He can be too curious for his own good sometimes," she giggled as the feline seemed to settle into a comfortable position around her shoulders.

Looking back at him, Kurumi thought that he looked familiar, but she couldn't entirely place him. His accent reminded her of someone else, but that wasn't something she really wanted to concern herself with now. "I-I'm Kurumi, Kurumi Hollingberry," she said with a faint smile. Her instincts were telling her to bow, but she feared Walnut tumbling off her shoulders if she did. Instead, she did a sort of awkward waddle that ended with a wave and then an awkward extension of her hand for a handshake. "Are you...new?"

Faina looked up to see a beautiful girl standing above. Faina sighed a sigh of relief. "No not waiting, just bored. I'm Faina, first year, Slytherin. And you?" Faina was very happy to have some company.

Gideon added his own laughter as he watched the cat get comfortable. "Aye but most cats are I suppose," he remarked with a shrug. Not that he was familiar with them much, his family prefering aviary familiars. Which reminded the boy to check to make sure Corvin returned to the school this evening after the feast, the raven prefering not to travel on the train. He learned that the hard way his first year.

"Nice to meet ye, Kurumi," he said with a nod finding it nice to finally put the name with the face. She might seem shy even now but that didn't mean he hadn't heard of her especially as a top points earner. He himself was a fair contributor. The boy shook his head at her hesitant question. "Nope...bein here since I was eleven," he answered despelling the notion of him being a transfer.

"I'm Gideon Gert," the boy added returning her greeting.

Lassie had entered the front of the express, she was looking through the compartments trying to find new friends to met. It wasn't until then where she walked into a compartment, with a girl that seemed her age. Lassie asked her "Is it okay if I sit with you?""I'm Lassie, it's nice to meet you"

Hmm, so she wasn't waiting. Oh, and she was in her first year! "Oh nice, I'm a third year myself in Slytherin." Kimalia could remember how excited she felt her first time on her way to Hogwarts. "You must be excited to go to Hogwarts." After all, who wouldn't be excited to go to a prestigious school. "If you want, I can fill you in on some stuff about the school if you want." It wouldn't hurt to give a firstie some tips, right?

Walnut began to purr in Kurumi's arms as she found one of his sweet spots under his chin. The cat's toes curled a little, which was sign enough to Kurumi that it was alright for her not to put her undivided attention on him for the time being. "Maybe this one a little too much," she said with a slight roll of her eyes. "Do you have a cat as well?"

Kurumi's eyes widened and a rather loud squeak escaped her pink lips. Some prefect she was, not even recognizing a member of her own house. "Ooooh....Merlin," she whispered "I-I-I'm so sorry," she said bowing deeply. She had done so well recently with not making the wrong assumptions about people. Her mother would be furious at her for not using tact when speaking to Gideon. Do not ask them directly! Use other questions to give yourself hints. These and other such advice echoed in her head.

After bowing several more times, Kurumi looked Gideon in the eye - and resisted the urge to bow some more. How COULD she have not noticed someone with that much curly hair in the common room?

"It's lovely to meet you too, Gideon," she said shyly, her free hand began tugging on her long black hair a bit. "I really am sorry for mistaking you as a transfer student." No, that wasn't the worst bit of it. "I-I really should be more observant..."

First lesson in prefecting right there.

Gideon chuckled softly at the rolling of the eyes a bit amused. He might just need to keep a better eye out for the feline this upcoming term as much as his fellow students. "No...actually I have a raven named Corvin," he answered. "Kinda become tradition for our family members to have a bird of some sort," he mused with a shrug.

His own eyes widdened at her reaction including the sound that escaped that sounded like a squeak."Tis alright Kurumi," he tried to assure her, swallowing as she bowed and continued to bow as if in repentance feeling slightly ackward himself. "I hadn't entirely been outgoing myself for you to notice. Not to mention its not like I got to know ye either." Gideon really was having some regrets of hiding in the shadow, especially if he was going to keep having to deal with those who were ashamed for not noticing him sooner.

"Enna ye not the only one today who thought that. Met a Selina earlier when I first went came through thee barrier," he added remembering the younger lion he had met in passing.

"You have a pet raven?" she chirped with interest. "I've never heard of someone keeping a pet raven." She knew a little about the bird itself, and how they were seriously misunderstood birds due to poetry and what not. She glanced down at Walnut who was now fast asleep. He'd better not do anything sinister to the boy's bird. He had come close several times to eating Momotaro after all.

"N-N-No," she stammered, waving her free hand around a bit. "One shouldn't have to be outgoing to be noticed." Her cheeks were a bright pink now and she felt utterly ridiculous. Kurumi looked down at her brown ankle high boots for a few moments. She always managed to find herself in the most awkward first impressions. She swallowed hard for a moment and then turned her violet gaze back to meet his chocolaty one. "Better late than never, right?" she blushed offering her hand to him for a proper handshake - no flailing this time.

Her eyes widened again, but this time not in shock. "You've met Selina?!" Kurumi exclaimed. Oh....that little lion was going to strangle her for not telling her.
