Selina stuck her tongue back out at her best friend, "Yeah okay. Violet what is a telephone?" She smirked at her friend and raised her eyebrows expectantly.

Then she turned back to Mrs. Le Veela and said, "Oh well I'm sure you wouldn't be nearly as bad as my Mum. You know how she has to micromanage everything that she does. I feel bad for those two, honestly."

She said pointly to Mr. Harper, "I will try to get her to try out again this year sir, but you know how she can be. If I have anything to do with it she'll at least try out. No guarentee if she'll make it or not." That much was true, even Selina who had been on the team first string for two years had no promise to get on her team. It was always who was the most talented that year.

Rosie got her attention and she tapped her nose cutely, "I'm sure it is a real unicorn Rosie-Posie."

She was a real unicorn? Had Selina heard that right? No she couldn't have and yet Mrs. Le Veela pressed on talking about the enchantement she placed on Butercup, "She's real? Merlin... are you serious?"



With arms crossed she looked Kurumi dead in the eye. She was struggling to find an answer to Selina's slight accusation. It was not that she thought something was going on between Johnathan and Kurumi, it was just that everytime Selina turned around her pretty best friend always had a plethora of boys who at least showed interest. After a while how much could a person take when they were always over looked for their smarter, nicer and prettier friend. She DID NOT like Johnathan, that was not it. It just seemed like every time that they talked Kurumi had another boy who was dying to talk to her or date her. Selina had a list she could riddle off.

Then Kurumi dropped the bomb, "Treyen? You were talking about Treyen? Merlin how much have you told this guy? And speaking of Treyen I packed my beater bat for the train ride..."

"Aye...sort of rescued him after a storm and he stayed," Gideon affirmed before shrugging at her comment. "My father's familiar is a red-tailed hawk and I daresay that's odder. Its just happens sometimes I guess." Following her gaze to the feline in her arms wondering if the two of them would get along but then there hadn't been any issues before so anything goes.

The Gryffindor boy tried not to sigh as Kurumi wasn't going to let up about being upset at not noticing him. But to his credit he let it go and simply hoped it would get out of her system because he felt truly sorry to make her so unfortable about it. "Right...one can not hold regrets too long just change it," Gideon remarked accepting her offered hand and giving it a proper shake.

"Aye I did," he confirmed with a nod. "She came up to me not sure she knew me or not. So see tis not a big deal I simply have stepped out of the shadows to be more popular," he commented with a chuckle to lighten the whole issue.

She giggled softly as she watched Perseus. Levitate? She'd always wanted to see someone do that! She tried not to seem so eager, but she couldn't help it. "L-Levitate...Please...that would be fine.." Onyx was still fast asleep, as Ame tried her best not to move so much.

Having gotten through the barrier to Platform 9 and 3/4, Damien, along with his belongings, decided on waiting to see who he might happen to run into -- his newly acquired companion, a decent sized barn owl who the Hufflepuff decided to call Niall, sat perfectly still in his cage. The bird wasn't asleep, but simply watched the students and families as the walked by.

This was one of the better reasons why Damien chose this particular bird. During one of his many visits to The Owl Emporium in Diagon Alley, all he seemed to notice were owls that had a little too much energy. Then he came across Niall -- who stared so intently as he, Damien walked by. It was almost as if the creature actually knew who he was, and it was an instant bond. Even the name was easy to come up with -- it was as if it were already there, in the back of his mind.

Smiling at his new friend, Damien leaned his back up against the wall where his belongings rested, crossing his arms over his chest, he continued to people watch.

Kurumi gulped. It really did look like Selina was about to explode, slap her, do something that would make the forth year lion wibble. A flash of something appeared in the third year's eyes, but Kurumi couldn't quite read what it meant.

But, it all became more clear as she spoke. Was she not allowed to share her worries and concerns with people? Did Selina only want Kurumi to confide in her? Maybe the two months or so they had spent apart were wearing on them? Kurumi probably could have been better at keeping in touch, although she had sent several postcards while she had been in New York. "Am I not allowed to seek advice from a guy about guys?" Kurumi asked folding her arms. "It's not like my first option is easily accessable. Simon graduated, he is the one I always went to for advice. Salander is busy with Lexi, and I don't want to interrupt them. Jonathan is my next best guy friend, I thought that he would be able to help me with the situation. And, you know what, he did. He went through a similar thing with another girl." Kurumi was tapping her foot now, only in slight agitation. "Selina, you know you are my best friend and you always give me advice when I need it. But, this time, I needed advice from a perspective that you just couldn't offer. I needed advice on the situation from a guy's perspective."

Kurumi took a deep breath. That had gotten longer than she had intended it to. Her eyes widened again when Selina mentioned her Beater's bat. "T-T-That won't be necessary..."
"You rescued him?" Kurumi semi gasped again. At least he said it was from a storm and not from animal abuse. A small smile tickled Kurumi's lips. "That is very noble of you." No wonder he had been sorted into Gryffindor. "So, your family perfers bird familiars then? My father also had a cat, but I don't think he and it got on very well. Father tends to keep to dogs now...although, I am not sure I have ever really read about any successful cases where a dog was a wizard's familiar."

And she was rambling now.

She simply nodded at his next comment. No regrets...right... She wished that she had actually held up that part of the bargain. She was regretting a lot of things at the moment, like not noticing Gideon had been in Gryffindor for the first three years. At least she was making amends to that now.

"Selina is probably my best friend. Well, more like the little sister I never had. Sometimes, I think she is more of the big sister and me the little though." Kurumi giggled and tucked a few strands of black hair behind her ear. "Well, I'm glad you did. It is always nice to meet another lion." Her smile was bright now, not nearly as awkward as it had been moments before.

Arya's half-smile grew a fraction at the girl's eagerness, remembering her own first year. "Wingardium leviosa." She murmured the spell, lazily swishing and flicking her wand to levitate Amethyst's trunk, placing it into the luggage compartment once it was in the air.

She gave Perseus a look, at which he pranced of the luggage and into her arms where she lifted him up on her shoulders. The prefect then levitated her luggage into the compartment. "There, all done." She looked back at the girl. "All that's left is boarding. I sit up front in the prefect's compartment with the other prefects and captains, so if you need anything else, you can find me there." Or she could grab Arya on the one patrol she planned on making. "Or you can find me at the badger table during the opening feast." Wouldn't it be awesome if this girl was in her house?

Ira came along to platform 9 3/4 with a white pigeon she called Stella perched on her shoulder and pushing her large baggage trolley. She looked around...where was she supposed to sit? She had no friend in this new world and was all alone here.
The train, the Hogwarts Express was a gleaming new train, so beautiful. She went to the front of the train searching for a compartment.
She boarded the train and found a empty compartment and sat down, waiting for the train to move on to The Hogwarts.

Daphne had a concerned look on her face when she noticed that the girl looked slightly..disoriented. What on earth did the girl do to end up landing on the floor?

"Glad to know..but I think you need to get yourself checked." Daphne said, doubtfully. She continued with a small smile on her face, "You're welcome." Before she turned to view the damage. Ah. The girl's luggage was literally..everywhere. Daphne was just about to offer her help to pick up the luggage when the girl introduced herself. "I'm Daphne. Daphne Green. Nice to meet to meet you, Kita." The girl extended her hand.

Gideon nodded to affirm Kurumi's question about the bird's rescue "Why thank yee," he replied before nodded again at her next question."Aye at least most of us that is. Mum and my older brother have owls named Watson and Doom, and then theres Cleo, Dad's hawk and Corvin. Kacie...my younger sister hasn't gotten one yet." He tilted his head as if trying to think himself if dogs could be considered wizard familiars as much as they were supposedly man's best friend. "Not sure myself but to each his own I guess."

Gideon listened as Kurumi described Selina better then he could, smiling at the friendship he could hear in her words. "Uh huh it is," he remarked in agreement, "And I will certainly keep ye three in my group of growing aquaintances."

Wow...that was a lot of animals in one place. Kurumi was more than a bit jealous. Despite her mother having bought Walnut for her, Kurumi had had to fight with her to be able to take the cat home. Seemed to think that the feline would do just fine on its own back at Hogwarts while Kurumi returned home for the summer. "That sounds amazing," Kurumi awed as her mind began to try and imagine the sort of that Gideon kept all the owls. But, wouldn't the hawk not get along with the others? "Do you just have an interesting in flying magical creatures?" Kurumi asked with great interest once again. It would be nice to have someone in her own house that she could go all obsessive over dragons, phoenixes, and griffins with - especially dragons though.

She decided to just let the comment about dogs go by, seeing as she really had nothing else to add to it.

Kurumi smiled and a soft pink glow appeared on her cheeks. "Glad to hear it."

As Kurumi started to read Selina the riot act she noted that the four year prefect was tapping her foot at Selina. She was agitated? That was rich. It was not like Kurumi saw why Selina was so stressed. Their relationship was always founded on the issues of the little baker girl. Selina did not mind the fact that Kurumi's issues came first, unless of course it dealt with Selina's visions, but sometimes Kurumi just didn't see why Selina became so frustrated. Being second best was a heavy burden to bear and the ginger kid was always second best. Second best in classes, with people, in Quidditch, everything. It was exhausting being the best friend of Kurumi because she was, in everyone's opinion at the school and even in Selina's opinion, perfect.

It was actually ironic in a way. Sometimes Selina could really understand the strife of Ron Weasley with the famous best friend. Although Harry Potter was the savior of the wizarding world it must have at least gotten under Ronald Weasley's skin sometimes that everything was about Harry's needs. Then again maybe Selina was being a little unreasonable, but she couldn't help it. She felt a little jaded and the fact that Kurumi was berating her about not being able to seek advice from other people stung a little. She couldn't be mad at Kurumi though. It wasn't her fault that Selina felt like she was second best... now even to Johnathan.

"Sorry..." she mumbled, "It, um, won't happen again. You can seek advice from whoever you choose. I'm being a prat. But I'm serious about the bat bit."

Kurumi waited in silence as it looked like about a million things were running through the younger Gryffindor's mind. Kurumi still wasn't sure where the outburst had come from, but she also wasn't sure if she should press the issue either.

"Selina..." Kurumi frowned deciding to just let her instincts take over for a moment and hugging her friend tightly. "You know that even if I don't come to you for advice that you are and always will be number one in my book, right?" She was sure that there were some things that Selina wasn't comfortable talking to her about. Like that boggart she had battle last term. Kurumi had been meaning to ask Selina about it. Who the baby was...but she just couldn't find the opportune moment to bring it up....and the middle of a crowded train station certainly wasn't one of those times. "You're my best friend and...even though I am technically older than you, like a big sister."

Kurumi eyed Selina for a bit before addressing the issue of the Beater's bat.

"I am going to have to take that away from you," she said coyly. "Official prefect business." Unable to resist, Kurumi stuck her tongue out.

Selina blushed with embarrassment when Kurumi gave her an unexpected hug. It was official- she was the biggest prat in the world. Kurumi was a good friend and she knew deep down that she had not meant to hurt Selina by telling Johnathan first, but sometimes Selina's insecurities took over. Actually, they took over quite often. When the two broke the hug Selina cleared her throat and said, "Right, well I guess that you're number one in my book too Kurumi." She gave her a teasing nudge in the shoulder, "And you know that even though I say stupid things sometimes... I don't mean all of it. I'm just complicated I guess. Bloody hell... I'm not making any sense."

Take away her beater bat? No way, that was not happening. It was not a matter to joke about. Selina was very protective over her Quidditch equipment, "I'm sorry Ms. Prefect... I'm afraid I'm going to have to take detention. I don't surrender the bat so easily." she wrinkled her nose and laughed.

Violet crossed her arms again when Selina asked her what a telephone was. She got a little upset and then said,"Now that's not fair Sely you know tha-"

Emmeline cut off Violet and then said lightly,"Alright, lets calm down ladies..And of course the unicorn is real Selina, silly...I think it's time that we be heading out...Selina good luck with school dear.." She smiled and gave the redhead a hug and then she opened her arms and gently took Rosalie out of Selina's arms. Emmeline then turned to Violet and gave her daughter a hug kissing her on the cheek. She then said,"And you my love, do wonderful and have fun..We'll see you at Christmas.."

Darrien then came in and wrapped his arms around Violet and lifted her off the ground. He then gave a few spins while laughing whom Violet soon joined in with him. Darrien then kissed her daughter on the cheek and gave her another squeeze. He then whispered in her ear,"I'm sure you're going to do great at the tryouts..Let me know about it.." Darrien himself didn't ever get the chance to try out for Quidditch when he was in school because he was very busy with his studies. But Darrien had still grown an interest in it from always hearing Jake talk about it whenever they were together. Then he put his daughter down and looked at Selina pointing,"Remember what I said Selina!" He gave her a smile and a light nod.

Evelyn then ran up to Selina and gave her a big hug. She then smiled at the redhead who was about an inch taller than her. Evelyn then said,"I'll write to you too while I'm at Beauxbatons, if you want Selina.." Evelyn smiled again and said lightly,"I'll be sure to tell you all about it.." Then she added,"And say hello to Hermes for me!"

Emmeline then said to Rosalie,"Say bye to Lina, Rosie! Bye Bye!" She waved at the Selina and Rosalie immediately followed saying,"Bye Lina!"

They all waved goodbye to Violet and she immediately waved back saying brightly,"I love you!" Then within an instant her family disapparated and were gone. Violet then slowly turned back towards Selina and paused for a moment. Then Violet booked it towards her best friend and threw her arms around the unsuspecting girl squealing with excitement,"OH SELY! CAN YOU BELIEVE WE'RE GOING INTO OUR THIRD YEAR ALREADY?!"

Selina smiled at Violet with a real sense of accomplishment. She had won. Despite all of her best friends comments and come backs Selina had out talked her, then again was there any doubt she would. Words were Selina's most inexhaustible form of magic. She could bend them and twist them to her will whenever she pleased.

She was about to retort when Mrs. Le Veela cut the two girls off. Selina crossed her hands over her chest and smiled sweetly at her, "I'll make sure to do that, ma'am." Then Mr. Harper butt in with a comment about Quidditch and she saluted him, "'Course sir. Even if I have to drag her by her pretty blonde hair she'll be down on that Pitch day of try outs."

Turning to Evelyn she gave the girl a hug and said, "Whenever you can write you do that. Don't kill yourself. Your first year of school is always stressful, so watch your studies. Bye-Bye Rosie!" She said tickling the little girl's stomach.

Once they all were gone Selina was about to speak when Violet went into hyper drive, "Yeah, yeah me too. Um, Violet? I can't breathe."

It was the very last time.

The very last time Destiny Shepard would be making the trip through Platform Nine and Three Quarters to board the Hogwarts Express. It would be the very last time she would push her trolley full of animals through the crowds of people, and it would be the very last time she would be able to accidentally on purpose run over all the people smaller than her. It was an almost surreal feeling being a seventh year, and the only thing she could think of was how the Professors must have felt bad for her. It was the only logical reason as to why she made it as far as she had.

Pity grades. She didn't care, she took them with pride!

Pushing her trolley, full of all her pets, and of course her trunk, Destiny glanced around at all the happy little first years. Yeah, they wouldn't be happy for too long! Not when seventh year Destiny went to crush their spirits. She had no idea how she would do it, but she would!

She just had to find Evelyn first. Her best friend was good at that kind of stuff.

But, finding her best friend would have to wait, for she spotted someone who it seemed like forever since she had last seen. Pushing her trolley a little faster, and just for the heck of it, running over someone smaller than her, Destiny made a beeline towards Mina, stopping right behind her Ravenclaw friend.

"MINA! I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN FOREVER!" So she needed to yell.

Violet heard her mention dragging Violet by her hair and then muttered lightly,"Would love to see you try..." Then when Violet was in the middle of giving Selina her lovable hugs she noticed she couldn't breathe again. Violet gasped and then said apologetically,"Sorry Sely..I promise that I'm working on that..." She giggled lightly.

Selina coughed when Violet finally released her claws from around Selina's body, "Right, well maybe you should work on that a tad bit more. I mean seriously, after spending three years being your friend I don't know how much more my wind pipes can take."

Taking two safety steps away from Violet Selina said, "So... how are you and my idiot brother doing?"

Violet lightly patted Selina's back as she was coughing. She then said,"I will..promise!" Violet smiled sweetly. Then she replied,"We're doing alright...We had a lot of fun at the Carnival, you should have came with us that day! It was so much fun!"

"You guess?" Kurumi replied in a forced hurt tone. She even pouted her bottom lip to emphasize the fake shock she felt. She couldn't help but laugh. Really, the two of them were ridiculous. All they needed now were some chocolate frogs to complete the picture. Actually, scratch that. No chocolate frogs would be necessary. "I wouldn't want you to be any other way."

Kurumi merely laughed at Selina's next comment about the bat. She knew there was no talking sense to her right now, especially when both of them were bubbling over with excitement for the coming term. Hopefully, Kurumi would be able to keep Selina preoccupied enough during the train ride so that she wouldn't beat Treyen to a pulp before she even had a chance to speak with him

That is...assuming that he would even let her.

"Actually, Selina...there is one of your complications that I, um, was hoping perhaps...." She leaned in closer and began to fidget with her shirt a bit. She wasn't sure how best to ask this without making things too awkward. "I saw your boggart..."

That should get the point across.

Amethyst's eyes light up when the words of the spell slipped from her lips. Her heart beated slightly faster from the excitement. Whoa...Wingardium Leviosa? She hoped she would learn that one this year.

She smiled at Arya and Perseus as Arya had placed her own luggage in the compartment. All that's left is boarding? And Arya wasn't going to be sitting with her? Okay, don't worry. You'll find some others to sit with. Sitting alone isn't all so bad, She thought to herself. She nodded and replied to Arya, the Perfect. "Okay! I hope you have a great ride...and I'll certainly come to find you at the badger table!" She smiled softly to Arya and Perseus.

Get herself checked?

... Did this mean she'll have to go to St. Mungo's?

"What i need..." she said, bending down and rummaging in the outer pocket of her trunk. Where... was... it?! She was sure she had packed some this morning! But then her fingers found some wrappers and she yanked it out. "... is this! Want some?" She held out the hand that held a couple of chocolate frogs, still fresh in their wrappers. After all, she couldn't stand here and eat on her own. That was just RUDE!

Oh? Introduction? "Nice to meet you too Daphne," she said, shaking the girl's hand. Hm... If Kita remembered correctly, an oxymoron if there ever was one she hadn't seen the girl around Hogwarts. "Are you... are you new?" she asked.

Daphne waited while Kita rummaged through the pocket of her trunk. Um. What was she exactly searching for? Before she could open her mouth, Kita offered her a couple of...chocolate frogs? Oh, wow. She loved chocolate frogs. Daphne smiled and took one. "Thanks. You know, chocolate is the cure for everything." Yum.

"Yeah, I am new." Daphne gave a smile. "I just moved out here from Beauxbatons.." She moved her trolley to the side. Um. She looked at Kita's fallen trolley and asked hesitantly, "Don't you think we need to pick your luggage up?"

"You're welcome." Ellie said with a nod. "And if you ever have questions or anything you can always ask me. Or someone to sit with on the train." She added with a light shrug. She hadn't planned on sitting with anyone yet, although she assumed Dallin would find her. And it was always good to be friendly to new people because you never knew how well they took the school switch and whatever else. Plus, Ellie was just friendly most of the time. He'd already met people, wow. Good for him. "Really? Who have you met? Maybe I know them."

From the states, eh? That made two people she knew from the states now. "Which state? My boyfriend, Dallin, is from Florida." The sunshine state. Or so she had heard. He still had to take her one of these days...

Ellie laughed lightly and nodded her head. "Oh yeah, it flies. I can't believe I'll be graduating next term." She sighed and shook her head. She was too old for her own good.
