It meant that there were no paper trails left to connect him with anything he shouldn't be connected with, from a past where his undercover work had forced so much corruption into him. It was difficult, living and working so deep undercover that you had your targets thinking you were at least as crooked as they were, if not more so. He'd grown past it, he was loyal to the ministry now, and to his team but... some things left a mark on a man. A stain on his soul. The big thing was though, everyone made mistakes and in his youth, Evander's Slytherin side had been far less subtle, far more eager for power, for money. Not so much now, at least, not in the same way. As for Gevrik and his 'others'? That was a start. Evander had some investigating to do. He headed out, towards Diagon Alley.
