Olivia was busy scribbling and had no idea that the door had opened and closed, with one of her employee's entering the room. Scratching her forehead with the end of her quill, she bit her lip and carried on writing, until she heard her name being spoken.

Looking up, her eyes focussed on Emma who was standing just in front of her desk. "Oh Emma, hello. A word? Of course, take a seat," she smiled, and gestured to the chair next to where the woman was. She always had time for her workers.

She was just about to ask what the matter was when a piece of parchment came flying into the room. Seeing Chris go and read it, as it attached itself to their notice board, Olivia thought it best to do the same. "Would you excuse me for just one moment, Emma? I won't be long." Giving Emma a huge smile, she pushed her chair back and strolled over to the note.

A meeting? "An important meeting?" she read aloud, raising an eyebrow at the words. "Sounds slightly ominous." Olivia wasn't directing her words at anyone really, just muttering them to herself. But she did pat Chris on the arm and gave him a smile, before walking back to her seat, and Emma.

"Seems we all have a meeting in the conference room tomorrow. Mr Lee just called it. But I'm sorry, what was it you were going to say?" Entwining her fingers together, Olivia rested her chin on them and grinned.

Emma felt nervous, more nervous then she had before. She gingerly took the seat beside Olivia, gulping for air. She opened her mouth to say something, how was she to put it?, before closing it again with another gulp of air.

A second time she opened her mouth to speak, but was interuppted by a ilw carrying a notice land on Olivia's desk, and Olivia herself stand up to annoce it to the room. "O-ok" She said nervously after hearing her excuse.

This time she would just say it! She told herself as Olivia sat back down again. Another gulp of air and she was off. Gashing through her setence's "Im-im leaving Olivia," She started off nervously, looking at her hands, "It's not like i dont like it here, i truely do, but i want to have some quality time with Luke and Bella," Wait did she know about them? "My neice and nephew" She quickly added, "I-im thinking of a fresh start, New house, New job. Elliot agrees..." She stopped, unable to finsh. Tears stung the edge of her eyes, she really was going to miss it here. Taking yet another gulp of air she looked up.

Ready for Olivia's reaction.

Emma seemed to be on the verge of telling her something horrible, she could tell. It was the amount of swallowing the woman was doing, and the need for great gulps of air. Olivia had a feeling she wasn't going to like what was said.

BINGO! And there it was.

"Ohh. I... I see." She really couldn't think of what to say. So many people had left since she became Division Head, that she was beginning to think they didn't like the way she ran things. But Emma seemed to have a more personal reason. "Your niece and nephew?" Had Olivia heard about Bella and Luke before? No, she didn't think so. "A new start sounds like a challenge. One which I'm sure you'll cope with admirably, like you do here with work." Olivia smiled, and leant back in her chair. Emma was going to be sorely missed. "I wish there was something I could say to make you change your mind, my most experianced worker," she laughed softly, then sighed. "But I can see this means alot to you, to try it. So I wish you good luck, Emma."

Standing up, Olivia stretched her hand across her desk ready to shake that of her now former employee.

Tears sprung to her eyes, she was going to miss this place she just knew it. She was so glad Olivia understund. "Yes, Bella and Luke came to my care a few years ago, after there's parents passed away" She told her, a few tears falling down her now rosy cheeks.

It wasn't good to cry, not right now at least. She swallowed the rest of her tears and attempted to smile at her friend.

She had to shake her head, "Sorry, i would love to stay. But i think we all need a fresh start. Somewhere in the countryside" She added, seeing the picture in her head. A small house, a small garden, a vegetable patch. She shook her head - yet again - she was getting ahead of herself. Chuckling she added, "It's nice to know i've gotten somewhere after being the new girl" then she became more serious, "It seems's everyone's leaving, i guess for me it never was the same since Alyssa left" She admitted.

After a few minutes she stood with Olivia and shook her head, "Thank you" She smiled, stepping away from the desk and making her way towards the office door. Before she left she looked back, her now empty desk waiting to be filled, all the other desk's of her ex-fellow workers. She was going to miss ths place, with it's layed back working enviroment, and great people. With one last look, she smiled and walked through the doors and out into the world.

First day at work... Charlotte had all her pens, papers, notebooks and other miscellaneous items stuffed into her spanking new red book bag. Here is the office..She took a deep breath and walked in with a smile on her face. It seemed nice and everyone is kind and polite. She sat at her desk and focused on work. After she will meet her colleagues. She is very excited and she loves her new job!

Jamie pushed open the door of the office, her now new office, and stepped through. She looked around, she had never been into the room before, she was more excitied about the fact she hadn't got lost on the way down, and she couldn't wait till she started work.

She took a few steps forward, still looking around. Her bag, which was slung around her shoulder, swang as she walked. It simple carried writing material and a picture, her favourite picture. She smiled to herself as she recalled the time it was taken.

She was 10 and her brother was a little younger. A day at the beach was a regular thing in their family, and that day was like any other. Apart from the fact she had her brother had found a starfish while they dug the soft earth. A sand castle was what she had been planning to do, while her brother's plan was to destroy the castle. Jamie remembered the look on their faces when they found it, pure joy. The same thing that was on her parents when they took the picture.

Still smiling she took another few steps forward, still looking around. Turning towards the nearest person she asked softly, "Could you point me in the direction of your Division Head?"

Charlotte turned. There was a young lady behind her standing and looking all around the office. She looked very nice and her voice was calm and friendly. Charlotte said: ''Oh hello. I'm Charlotte new employee here. It's my first day here. You are looking for Office of Mr. Brian Lee, Department Head? I think it's at the end of this office. There is a shiny brass nameplate on the door you will see it. I hope i helped if you need anything else feel free to ask. I'm glad to help.'' Suddenly phone rang. '' Oh excuse me this phone is ringing non-stop i am very busy. Would you like to sit and have a cup of tea? Just a minute.''

Charlotte sat in her chair and took some notes.

Jamie turned at the sound of a voice, she smiled at the women stood infront of her. Still smiling she listened as she spoke, giving a small chuckle at he end. "No sorry i meant," She paused as she pulled a folded peice of paper out of her brown handbag, looking it over she finished, "Olivia Hawthrone? I know where Brian's office is"

Jamie looked back up at the women smiling, before she went to sit at her desk, answering a phone. She waited. She wondered where her desk would be.

Charlotte hung up. Young women was sitting and waiting. She said: ''Sorry you waited it was inportant. Olivia Hawthrone?I'm afraid i don't know where her desk is. I am really sorry but I can't help you. I tought you needed Mr. Brian.'' Charlotte stood disappointed and said : "You sholud ask someone else who works here more than i do. I think that she can help you.'' Charlotte pointed at an older women standing behind them. ''Oh, my name is Charlotte. Nice to meet you. Do you work here? If you have some free time later you can come at my desk and have a coffe.'' Charlotte smiled.

Jamie stepped forward smiling she shoke the women's hand, "Haii, Im Jamie Sullivan, first day and such" She told her.

Stepping back she turned to look around the room, "Later? I might be able to yeah, if im not to swamped getting my head round all this" She indicated the room before her laughing, "Thank you though, im looking forward to it" Jamie turned back to Charlotte and smiled, "I like your name by the way"

While Jamie was leaving Charlotte shouted:'' Ok than Jamie see you later and good luck at your first day. I am new here too. Thanks you have a wonderful name too. Charlotte sat and again focused in work. She was very busybodies but excited that she met someone new.

Olivia had gotten to work earlier than usual. Brian had called a meeting for that morning, and she wanted to get some paperwork done before going along the corridor to the conference room. Whistling to herself, she took off her coat as she entered the office, making her way down to her desk by the far wall.

Her attention was drawn to two women talking over the other side of the room. As she didn't recognise them, Olivia figured they were either new, or security. Flipping her coat over her arm, and securing her bag in her left hand, she wandered over to greet them. Not nice to be the only people in the room on your first day - if indeed it was their first day.

"Good morning!" she called, just as she got within talking distance. Taking notice of the name on the desk where one of the women was sat, Olivia smiled. "Charlotte Smith? Ahh Security I see. Welcome. I'm Olivia Hawthorne, Head of Maintenance, nice to meet you." She nodded her head and turned in the direction of the other newcomer. She wasn't at a desk. So either she didn't know where to go, or this wasn't her section.

"Hello, are you new to security as well or...." She didn't get to finish the sentence as there was an audible POP noise from over by her desk, as a file appeared and settled itself down. "...or is that your personal file?" Olivia giggled, and stuck out her hand to greet the woman. "That must mean you are in my division. Nice to meet you, Miss...?"

Jamie jumped slightly as someone else spoke to her. She was used to being new, but not used to being singled out for chats. Specially on her first day. She turned to smile at the other women which had walked over from her desk to greet them. "Good Morning" She managed to get in before the women started talking again. He heart skipped a beat when she said she was Olivia, her boss. She smiled broadly, she need't be lost any longer, she would help. She took a step forward when Olivia focused her attention on her.

"Hello, Im Jamie Sullivan. Im new in this division" She said proudly and clearly. "It's nice to meet you both" She added smiling and Olivia and Charlotte, holding her hand out for them both the shake.

Charlotte saw another women coming to greet Jamie and her. Women was smiling and she kindly said ''Good morning'' and told them who she is. Charlotte stood and said:'' Oh good morning Ms. Olivia Hawthorne,nice to meet you. I'm Charlotte Smith working in Security and as you probably saw i am new here. Charlotte shook her hand. Jamie also met Ms. Olivia. Then Charlotte turned to Jamie with a big smile and showed her ''thumbs up.''

Lucy sighed and scrunched up the piece of parchment and flung it into the nearest bin. She sighed again and walked over to her cubicle. She pulled out all the stationary she had bought last night. This was it. Her first day at work. This was going to be interesting. She hugged her shoulders for a second and then pulled out the first scroll of parchment. She opened her copper inkwell with the vanilla scented ink. She sighed at the smell and then wrote at the top of the parchment:

She sighed and wondered idly where to start. She looked around the desk and then looked at her barn owl feather quill and sighed. She would have to ask someone and then go through the whole 'oh-so-you're-the-new-girl' situation. It was always awkward. But, she did need some friends. Siiiggghhh.

Aby walked into the work area. She stood at the entrance and looked around for an empty cubicle to use. She saw a lot of other people in here working. She didn't want to disturb them, but Mr. Lee said that she should introduce herself. "Hello everyone. My name is Abygail Kwikspell. Aby for short. I am new to Ministry Security. Well, actually, I am new to work in general. I just graduated from Hogwarts last term. Does anyone know where there is an empty cubicle that I can use?"

Brian got back into the work cubicles. He was in his favourite white button down shirt and Denim blue Jeans, sleeves rolled up to his elbows as usual. But there was some kind of disturbances in his soft ocean blue eyes. It was unusual from an enthusiastic person like him.

He came over and stood in the middle of the work areas, looking around his amazing employees. Clearing his throat slightly he started talking to them..

"Hello guys! Good day?" he paused, wearing a warm smile across his face he continued, "I come here to announce something important. Don't worry, it's not an assignment or something but still it's important for both of us." he linked his hands, waiting, giving them some time to acknowledge his sudden appearance and words.

She was mulling it over, looking at the letter in her hand. It was a wonderful opportunity for her, and something she really wanted to do. But she also didn't want to let Mr Lee down, leave him in the lurch with Chris gone.

Sighing, Olivia folded the paper and placed it in the draw of her desk. She would tell him later. Tell him she was leaving.

But maybe she would get that chance sooner.

"Good day, Mr Lee," she smiled, curious as to why he would be there. Generally he met people in his office, and announcements went up on the board. It must have been serious. Shifting in her seat, she turned to give the man her full attention, listening intently.

Brian shifted his head towards the pretty known voice. But looking at her slightly bothered expressions on her face, he spoke up, "Is everything alright, Olivia? You look kinda down.." he slightly nodded his head, hiding his own feelings for time being. Employees comes first, always.

Looking up from his own compartment, Jaxton raised a single eyebrow as his hands moved upwards to comb through his short hand and then clasp behind his head. "Good afternoon Sir." He welcomed with a smile and his easy American lilt.

However, he couldn't remember Brian ever making announcements outside of the department meetings... or his office. "Is everything okay Brian?" Jax asked his boss, as for perhaps the first time ever, he looked troubled. Even when they were busy, Brian was enthusiastic and happy rather than worried and crazed. Hmm....

Brian knew the owner of that voice. Mr. Tanner's voice. Very unique accent. Acknowledging him with his usual smile, "Good afternoon Jaxton" he said and rubbed on his back neck softly at his next question. "Mmm..Physically yes.." he nodded and looked at him then at others silently for few seconds.

"Well..the thing is.." he paused, Gosh this's hard to say.."I'm stepping down from the dept head post." he finally announced it, his voice was strained. Very hard. Very hard to leave the department and his amazing staffs. Sighs.

Was it really obvious in her face? She was down. She was going to leave people behind that she liked, for a new adventure. A new job.

Smiling weakly, Olivia shrugged at Brian's question. "I'm fine really. I do have something that I need to tell you, but it can wait, sir. Please go on." Unless of course his news would stop that happening. She was concerned about what he was going to say to them. It was so unsual.

Then Jaxton spoke up and asked the very question that had formed in her mind. Brian was doing a good job of concealing something, but they could tell all was not right.

And there was their answer. Leaving.

"Ohh Mr Lee," Olivia tilted her head and frowned. She was so used to him being there, it would be weird to spend her last days without him around. "I can guarantee that you'll be missed by everyone." Even though she was going too. The whole department stripped of it's leaders.

Oh..she has something to tell too..

Was it anything official or personal? He had no idea. But so far Olivia never complained or worried about her personal life, atleast he thought since she didnt talk much about it all these days.

Looking at her frowned face he nodded, assuring his own words again. "I'll miss you all. I already feel like that.." he sighed softly and grinned put up a brave face in next second. "Well..change is the only thing will not change." he looked at his staffs' faces, hands hid inside his Jeans pockets now.

"Now, tell me what's bothering you, Olivia? I'm all willing to help you if anything you need from me" he told her through his soft voice, concerning over her problem now.

Jaxton smiled at Brian as he replied to him. He loved that man, he was one of the best bosses. "Physically.... What--?" But he stopped, because Brian continued. "Wow." He whispered, his hands falling away from his neck where they had been clasped. "That's ... huge." Jaxton blinked again, letting it sink in that his Boss was leaving.

Wow.

Standing up, Jaxton moved over to Brian. "We will all miss you, the office just won't be the same without you." He said with a small smile as he offered Brian his hand.

Jamie had been sat at her desk, just writing, chilling as there really wasn't anything for them to do. She still had her head in her hands when Brain walked in, she suddenly straightened her back and began to write faster. Sigh. When he announced he had to speak she placed her pen down and stood up, moving to sit on the side of her desk.

She folded her legs and arms waiting...

Her eye widenered when he spoke his next words. Leaving? But who would take his place? He was such a good Head person. Jamie bit her bottom lip before pushing from the table and saying. "You'll be surely missed Sir"
